Mike Haggar was sat at his desk in city hall. The Mayor, what better job than to enforce the laws and stand up for those who need it most. Yeah, it fit Haggar to a t alright. He always loved kicking ass in the name of good and so this felt like a perfect way to make sure he could know the goings on in his city. Suddenly, the television caught his eye. Deja vu, something bad always happened the second the tv caught his gaze while at his desk. Whereas last time it was a kidnapping message from Mad Gear about his daughter Jessica, this time it was something very, very different.
'Zombies, yeah you heard it! John Cortez reporting for Metro News. This place is overrun. Hey! Hey! Miss, you got a statement. Hey! I'm talking to yo- AARRRGHHH!!' Haggar put his hand to his chin contemplatively. He's seen a ton of things happen in his city, but never this. Before he'd seen riots and thugs destroying the place but never the walking dead. It was times like these he wished he still knew Cody and Guy well enough to call on them. Looks like if he wants to save his city he has to go at it alone. Haggar walked out to the city hall steps and gripped upon his white work shirt and tie, letting out a mighty roar and ripping them off, leaving him in his green dress slacks and brown shoes. "Nobody screws with my city, and lives." Haggar yelled out to the partially ruined streets infront of him.
Haggar walked along, looking at the destroyed cars as he cracked his knuckles, ready for whatever should come at him. Suddenly, a zombie lunged out. "Suplex!" Haggar yelled as he gripped the waist of the zombie, flipping him over onto his head and utterly destroying the skull. Mike had a habit of utilizing nothing but his wrestling specials. It was just a force of habit, he loved to kick some ass using some of the most powerful moves he knew.

Sure, it was somewhat dangerous to be out alone, but considering the fact that he was close to the food market, and the fact that he somewhat knew what to expect, the teenage boy should be fine. Besides, he would be in and out of the store in a matter of minutes, unless of course, the store was packed. In a city such as New York, Tomonari figured that by now, it would most likely be crowded. However, this wasn't something foreign to him, most of his life being in a crowded city. He preferred to not think about his previous life right now, still quite shaken up by the whole ordeal of being thrown into a strange new world. Perhaps he was just naive, figuring that things would go according to plan, and arriving to his destination safely. As such, things never did go exactly as planned.
This was proven more by the fact that a few screams were heard, coming from innocent victims of zombie attacks. Gulping a bit and jumping in surprise, Tomonari looked around, and saw that just ahead were, in fact, zombies. His eyes widened in horror at this, especially due to the fact that to get to the food market, he would have to go through at least a small wave of zombies. No way did he want to tick off Bao Yu Chao, as he really did owe her for before. In any case, he surely didn't want to try and go around the zombies through alleyways, since he'd most likely get lost, and/or encounter more zombies or thugs. Sighing a bit, and begining to shake in fear, the boy stared at the zombies "Th-This i-isn't good...", he thought to himself, no matter how obvious that statement was.
With no other choice, he detatched the frying pan dangling from the outside of his single strapped bag, and slowly began to wander towards the zombies. Luckily for him, he managed to sneak by quietly, at least for a good while. Sooner or later though, his luck was bound to run out, and Tomonari wasn't exactly the luckiest guy in the world. Rather, the kid was simply an accident magnet. A zombie had rushed at him from the direction he was going in, and after squealing in fright, he took his frying pan, and using it as a baseball bat of sorts, swung the pan directly into the zombie's head, which was a critical hit. For a moment, Tomonari could've sworn the word 'SMAAAAAASH!' appeared, but he was probably going crazy or something.
With that, the zombie's head was crushed, and the land on the groun confirmed the death of the zombie. Tomonari, however, stood there for a moment, freaking out at what just happened. Before he could do anything more though, a few groans appeared from behind him, which happened to be more zombies. Looking back, he jumped in fright, and out of instinct, rushed forward into a running sprint, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Haggar was revelling in his victory against the undead monster who's head he caved in with a suplex. Haggar was a champion wrestler back in the day before his political career and was known the world over for being an American hero. 'Macho' Mike Haggar was quite possibly the world's greatest wrestler next to 'Red Cyclone' his Russian rival and close friend, the two even taught each other moves to add to the repertoire. Haggar then saw a young man with a frying pan in hand running away from a horde of zombies chasing him, seems these weren't the slow shambling types. No, these ones were out for blood and Good ol' Mike wouldn't have that, not in his city.
"Hey, not sure what you creepy bastards are. But you're not gonna destroy MY CITY!" the mountainous man yelled as he grabbed a lead pipe from the wall with his and ran past the obviously scared young man, bashing a zombie's head in, destroying the soft flesh and rotted bone easily. Haggar was used to fighting dirty with weapons due to growing up in Brooklyn and fighting night and day, often with no real reason but just survival. Mike knew however, that this was more than some brawl. This was a problem, and who better to solve it? Haggar tossed the pipe and held out his arms at full length, spinning in a circle to knock down the rest of the crowd of zombies before walking up to the kid. "You alright, kid? You may know of me but I sure don't know you. You look like the type I'd remember." Haggar said gruffly in a somewhat friendly way. He knew this was no time to stand around but he wanted to know what this kid's deal was.

It seemed that his luck partially returned to him, since as he ran in fright, he saw a human man, a much larger man, fighting off other zombies. Now, Tomonari didn't scream for help or anything, since he was in the mood to just keep running until the zombies either gave up, or were stopped some how. Luckily for him, it was the latter that occurred. However, there was still the fact of him being an accident magnet. The teenage boy was hit by the mountain of a man, and in return, the boy was spun around a bit, rather comically, and he eventually landed on his bottom. Dazed for a moment, he eventually looked up to see what had happened. The man seemed to have beaten a zombie with a lead pipe, and then smack away the rest of the zombies that had previously chased the boy.
Scrambling back up to his feet, Tomonari looked up at the man as he walked towards him. The teenage boy was still freaking out, not knowing what to say or do. It didn't help either that he didn't know whether or not this man was going to hurt him, seeing as how they were strangers to each, as that much was certain. Although it seemed like this man wasn't going to hurt him or anything, albeit, talked rather gruffly, with Tomonari not really recognized the friendly part of it right off the bat. Eventually though, he responded to the man, "U-U-Um I-I'm fine, th-thank you sir." He paused for a moment, and looked at the man again. It was definite that Tomonari didn't know who he was, which made the boy feel rather guilty about that. "I-I-I don't r-recognize you...... I-I'm sorry. M-My name i-is Tomonari Niul.", he continued, that pretty much being all he could say.
Looking around for a bit, it seemed as though hell erupted again, just like his entrance in South America. Thinking for a moment, Tomonari tried to determine whether or not that was the right 'continent', as it seemed to be called here. Confirming that for no, Tomonari ended up catching sight of a nearby zombie. Since the boy wasn't too shaken up to the point where he wasn't defenseless, he should have been fine if it attacked. As luck would have it, the zombie lept at them, and Tomonari jumped at first. Reacting rather suddenly, the boy faced the zombie, placed his hands near his head to help concentrate, and called out, "PK Freeze Alpha!" A light blue, hexagonal shape with a snowflake in the center was formed, and shot at the zombie.
The aim was dead on, and even though the PSI attack only dealt light ice damage, it worked perfectly on the zombie. This zombie, in return, had some of its head ripped apart, and from there, the zombie was defeated. Shaking his head a bit, Tomonari released his head from his hands, and sighed a bit. This definately wasn't his day, that was for sure.

Haggar was stood with his usual look, the huge frame of the man almost leering over the teen a bit. It's odd he didn't seem to know who he was but no big deal, he's likely not from this area. Mike patted his shoulder in a friendly way. "Okay To- Tomona... I'm just gonna call you Tomo. Anyways, I'm Mike Haggar. I'm the mayor of this fine city. These... things, are vermin that need to be exterminated. The muscle bound mayor turned to face the partial ruins that have been created by this zombie apocalypse. It wasn't looking good for ol' New York, but Haggar wouldn't let those umbrella scumbags take his glorious city from him.
Haggar's gaze was now on the boy as he quickly reacted to a zombie, freezing and destroying it. Been a long time since Haggar saw those kinds of powers, usually it was in his fighting tournaments against folks like Ryu and Ken, however Mike tended to favour just using his bare hands to obliterate any opposition. "Nice work, kid. That thing reminds me of that hadouken or whatever they call it, sure hurts when it hits you that's for sure... Man, do I hate projectiles. Haggar hated any type of projectile thrown towards him by a fighter, mostly because he saw it as cheating and not using your actual body to win the fight rather than some power.

It still seemed a bit odd that his PSI worked well on the zombies, since Tomonari was used to the fact that on his world, even humans without PSI had at least some elemental strengths and weaknesses. Then again, this wasn't his world, nor were these zombies previously humans from his world. The latter was probably something he would be quite thankful for. He wasn't going to complain either, as it made things even a slight bit easier. Still, Tomonari knew that there was stronger things out there, even humans not from his own world were tough. This Mike Haggar person proved that quite easily. Then again, Tomonari already had his fair share of encounters with others on this world, so it wasn't too uncommon for him to see. For all the boy knew, it would either be a good experience, or a bad one.
Listening in on the man with him, Tomonari started to feel guilty. Even though he was told that he did a good job, there was the part about projectiles where Mr. Haggar seemed to show at least some discomfort about it. "Ha.......douken? I-I-I'm sorry, I-I don't know wh-what that is. Wh-What I used i-is called PSI. If y-you don't like me using it, I-I'll stop. Sorry...", Tomonari responded to the man. At this point, it should have been fairly obvious that he was overly apologetic, and fearing the worst, the teenager figured Mr. Haggar would be annoyed by this. He would just have to wait on that, and before wondering anything further, he added, "A-Anyways, i-it's nice to meet you, Mr. Haggar." His uneasy and worried mood right now was begining to take a toll on the boy, considering how this chat and meeting felt a bit awkward.
Looking around again, Tomonari quickly tried to figure out where he was supposed to go. He then reached his hands to his bag, and began to dig around for a small sheet of paper. Unfolding the paper, the teenager looked at the directions he wrote down to get to the desired food store, and saw that he still had a ways to go before having to turn right. While folding the paper back up, and putting it into his bag, he began to wonder if continuing on would be the right thing to do. If he didn't, Bao Yu wouldn't be very happy, especially since he was specifically ordered to get meat that was from his boss's parents' company. Sighing a little, Tomonari took a quick look back at Haggar, as though wanting to say something. Question was whether or not he should, and he definately didn't want to go alone.
Tomonari sighed once more, and turned slightly to face Haggar. Looking up at the man, who seemed to be nearly a foot taller than the boy, he gathered up the confidence to speak. Eventually, he did so, not entirely sure if he should've even done this, "U-U-Um... M-Mr. Haggar? U-Um... i-if you don't mind, th-there's a grocery store I-I have to go to, b-but, I.. r-really don't want to go alone." Shutting his mouth insantly, he paused for a moment. His face showed signs of fear now, and then the boy said, "W-Was th-that bad o-of me to say? I-I-I'm sorry! E-Err..." It seemed like Tomonari got himself into a mess that probably wasn't that big of a deal, but it wasn't as though he had the people skills in any case.

Haggar smiled and had his arms crossed, his huge frame casting a shadow on the kid. He truly just wanted to kick the asses of these rotting bastards and just have New York safe for a short while without any random stuff happening. It was always something, Rolento stole his daughter. Riots in the streets and now zombies, perfect. The kid seemed a little on edge around him and his comments on his attacks. Haggar had no problem with this kid's abilities but was just making small talk about the only similar things he knew. Mike often used to take part in the local Street Fighting tournaments around New York, not so much now after his retirement from professional wrestling and cage fighting. Haggar still had it in him though, he needed to still train, lest his drinking buddy Zangief overtake his reputation. Haggar knew about the whole 'Dark Hadou' bullcrap and this seemed the closest thing to it... well, that wasn't it.
"None of that talk kid, it's good. Use it, just not on me." Haggar said in his gruff but friendly manner, patting Tomonari on the shoulder. Haggar often had a gravelly gruff way of speaking but generally had a nice demeanour. Haggar's attitude earned him the respect of most of the upstanding citizens of New York city. Haggar looked towards him as he asked about going into a local grocery store. "Mr Haggar? That was my dad's name. Call me Mike." he said with a smile above his huge lantern jaw. "I wouldn't send a good kid alone someplace. Let's show those rotten bastards what we're made of." Haggar said cracking his knuckles, ready to kick all kinds of ass and take back the city that's rightfully his.

He nearly fell over when the large man patted his shoulder. The boy definately wasn't one to be able to withstand physical force easily, no matter how well humans on his world were built. Tomonari had weaknesses, which he definately had show quite a bit of such already. Not that he was worried about that particular detail, seeing as how he was book smart, and not street smart. Even then, the boy wouldn't have gotten himself to worry about that. Looking up at the man after regaining his balance, he listened to Mike's response. It was strange how friendly this man was still, Tomonari starting to realize such. Include the mustache, and the boy felt like he was standing beneath his blood related grandfather. Although right now, he really wasn't wanting to worry about his homeworld. It wouldn't end well, that much was for sure.
Nodding hesitantly, the boy opened his mouth to speak again, "O-O-Oh, I-I'm sorry. Th-Thank you M-Mr. Ha-.... M-Mike." He was having trouble calling the man by what seemed to be his first name. Even when granted permission to do so, Tomonari was extremely hesitant and not showing at least some respect for the adults. Tomonari knew his place for the most part, although that tended to get into his head more often that it should have. Even though he was used to hearing swearing, he wanted to say something about it, but decided against it. Tomonari was probably taught a bit too well when growing up, taking life lessons more seriously than perhaps most kids his age. Still, that was something for another time, as there were things that need to be done.
Looking over in the direction of where he needed to go, Tomonari thought for a few moments, trying to recollect what he read on the sheet of folded paper. Nodding, he then spoke up, "A-Alright. From wh-what I remember, it should be a-about three blocks down, turn right, and th-then about one point six kilometers u-until we're there." Even though he read up on the measurement system used on this world, Tomonari had found the measurements used on his world, which appeared to also be called the metric system, and was used to calling distances as such. On this world, the distance he mentioned was about one mile. Granted, Tomonari did assume that Mike would know, so he was perhaps in for a rude awakening with that.
About to take a step forward, a group of four zombies had shown up, and went to attack the two. Jumping again in fright, and yelping a bit, he managed to react again, "PK Water Alpha!" With that, his hands went to his head, with a small wave of water rushing at the zombies. Since the attack generall hit multiple opponents, it did just that, the water crushing the zombies in half, which ended up finishing them off. Sighing again, the boy wasn't sure what to do about the zombies aside from defeating them. "Th-This.... w-won't be e-easy...", Tomonari said worriedly, his face showing the same feeling.

Haggar now had his arms crossed in his regular way. He knew today was gonna be a day full of adventure, and plenty of heads for him to bust upon along the way. Haggar looked around to survey the scene to see if any zombies were lurking ahead. Haggar hadn't even heard of zombies existing in real life, he thought it was just a bunch of make believe and fake. Still, they go down just as easy as everything else he's ever fought against. This kid had a real specific way of talking distances, it was almost like being around a robot with the way he spouted exact locations and what not. "Right, I got you. You're like a human GPS. Haggar said with a grin.
Suddenly, Haggar turned to see the group of zombies approaching and Tomonari reacting in kind, using one of his special powers on the living cadavers. It seemed to crush them and worked well enough. Haggar was interested in this kid's abilities but he wasn't too keen on powers for himself, he knew of many fighters in the Street Fighter tournaments used them. Sagat, Ryu and Ken, but Haggar had always relied on his fists in the streets. Sure, it'd been a long time since the last fight but he was good as ever. The kid stated the obvious by saying it won't be easy. Yeah, this should be hard. "You said it, kid. Haggar said.

Standing there for a few moments longer, Tomonari was really starting to run out of ideas. Rather, he was stalling out of instinct, his tendency to hesitate being done repeatedly over the years. As if something new would occur, the boy took another look around the area. Of course, there was nothing new, some burning cars, broken windows, and all sorts of junk one would see in a zombie apocalypse. Granted, this was something not normal on his own world, which was strange, considering the fact that digimon resembled mythical beings, large dinosaurs, and other various things. The only other thing that could be seen was a stray zombie, although this one was rather far away, and not going into the direction of Tomonari, or the way the boy would be going towards. It seemed to be a typical zombie too, what with it wandering aimlessly and without thought.
Looking back at the man with him, the teenager was still rather scared of him. Even with the fact that Mike saved him from zombies chasing him, Tomonari still didn't know this man all too well. Still, perhaps it was the friendly tone in the man's voice that kept Tomonari from running off. That, and it was probably suicide to go through the area alone. Then again, the boy could just run for his life like he always did. Perhaps it wasn't a bad thing though that Tomonari put even a little trust into Mike so quickly, zombie apocalypse or not. There were other things besides zombies that roamed this world, and Tomonari was well aware of it by now. For now though, pondering on this would only make this errand longer than it needed to be, unless Tomonari wanted to be yelled at for long periods of time when he returned to headquarters.
With that, Tomonari opened his mouth to speak again, "U-U-Um, i-if you don't m-mind, I-I think we should get going. I-I hope I'm not being too pushy." Turning around, the boy slowly started walking down the street, slow enough that he could remain near Mike at pretty much all times. For all he knew, Tomonari might end up hiding behind the man in fear, like he usually did around his godfather when meeting someone new. Although this was a different situation, and it would more than likely be zombies. It was a miracle that Tomonari managed to unleash PSI attacks without hesitation recently.

Haggar had his arms folded, the huge mountain of a man looked at his surroundings. Yeah, it sure was a mess all right. It looked to be a lot of looting went on, generally speaking New York tended to have trouble with crime rates and most of the times it involved the mayor himself. Haggar took a tough stance on crime and it always caught Mad Gear's attention. Mad Gear, those criminal assholes plaguing New York since the 80's. They were led by Commander Rolento, some two bit dirtbag who profited off of war. Somehow, this felt eerily similar to his one man war on crime. Haggar remembered how he took on torrents of enemies with nothing but his bare hands and various weapons he found along the way. Mike looked over at his new found partner, this war wasn't on crime however, it was against the horde of zombies who had no other aim but to consume human flesh.
"Yeah, we best haul ass." Haggar said crassly, cracking his knuckles and walking off towards the destination, not far behind Tomonari to make sure nothing happened to the kid. Along the way, Haggar spied something in front of a nearby stall which brought back some memories- a steel fold up chair. Mike folded it in one go and held it under one of his massive arms, quickly catching up with Tomo. Ahead Haggar could see the vague shape of the store they were travelling towards, didn't look good. There were chains across the doors and a shit ton of zombies crowded around wanting in. "You wanna fight through these undead sons of bitches?" Haggar said gruffly, glaring at the horde and pointing towards them with his huge hand. If there was one thing Mike knew, it was how to fight through huge amounts of people. "I know one thing for sure though, this ain't gonna be my final fight!" Haggar said in his usual tone.

While he was walking forward, Tomonari had soon noticed that Haggar had stopped for a moment, although this wasn't until the boy had taken a few steps further. Becoming worried about this, the teenager stopped, and looked back at what the man was doing. It appeared as though Haggar had found a steel folding chair, and took it along with him. Tomonari didn't question this, as using a chair as a weapon, from what he assumed Haggar would use it for, wasn't too out of the ordinary to the boy. He used a frying pan or a baseball bat as a weapon, and Tomonari had seen someone use a slingshot as one on his homeworld. It somewhat made sense on his world though, considering the fact that no way was the government going to allow military grade weapons to be sold to the general public.
Soon though, the stroll through the zombie infested neighborhood continued, and it seemed to have gone without any real problems. After turning right at the correct street, and walking for a good few minutes, Tomonari had seen what he didn't want to see. From the looks of it, zombies were gathering upon the exact store the boy's destination was, and he jumped in fright. Of course things would take a turn for the worst! Turning to Haggar, the boy listened in on what the man had to say. At this point, he was right, and they probably would have to fight through the horde of zombies. Especially if one were to spot them, the other zombies would probably follow suite. Nodding hesitantly, Tomonari replied, "Y-Yeah, I-I guess w-we'll have to fight through them."
Looking back towards the horde of zombies, it appeared as though his suspicions were correct. One of the zombies had in fact, spotted them, with that zombie and quite a few others turning around and rushing at them. Tomonari jumped in fright again, stunned for the moment. He lost all thought, only staring at the zombies that were rushing towards them. Slowly coming back to reality, however, the boy knew he couldn't merely stand there. Gathering himself together, Tomonari did his little PSI tricks again, "PK Water Alpha!" This time, two, small waves were created, with each crashing down on the zombies, the second making sure that the six zombies in total were defeated.

Haggar readied his steel chair, seeing Tomonari use his water powers to defeat six of the zombies. Suddenly, something was in the distance... Something big. "Heads up, kid. I see something nasty." The mountainous mayor stood tall in the face of this behemoth, the monster known as a Tyrant, being followed by a good amount of other undead creatures. "You lost, little guy?" Haggar said with a laugh to almost demean this being. Sure, he likely has no understanding but it didn't stop him from charging towards the duo. Haggar made a quick thrust with his arms to smash the steel chair into the head of the beast, doing very little damage and watching the chair fall apart after the one hit. With scanning of the monster he noticed a weak spot, the exposed heart.
The tough mayor had to do some quick thinking to escape this one, he swung his patented axe blow punch into the heart to knock the undead monster back. Haggar then run around behind it, grabbing into his back and suplexing him into the ground. Then, Haggar spun him over and held him upside down, holding onto his waist. "Spinning.... Pile.... Driver! Haggar shouted while jumping up into the air and spinning in a circle about ten feet in the air and finally slamming the Tyrant's head into the ground, killing it. "Yeah, this is why I love wrestling. he said punching his arm into the air in victory, now getting focused on the rest of the monsters. He looked over to Tomo with a look on his face of confidence "Let's get rid of this whole freakin' species."

Sighing in relief at the six zombies he took down, the boy became even more unsure about all of this. It felt rather pointless to kill off all of these creatures, even though they were in the way, and they were mindless killing machines. As though it was bad already, Tomonari heard a call from Haggar, alerting the boy of something big. The thing in question was also quite literally big too. Immediately, the teenager jumped in surprise as he saw the Tyrant marching over to them, "EEEK!" Before being able to say anything to Haggar, it appeared as though the large mayor was quite content with taking down the giant monster, although this only made the boy even more worried.
Sure, the steel chair was broken, and sure, it seemed insane to watch a wrestling mayor taking down a giant monster, but Tomonari was seeing probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. Then again, considering the super powered nature of this world, that was probably considered normal. The boy's eyes widened when Haggar had grabbed the Tyrant, held the thing upside down, and did his famous Spinning Piledriver. Although, it's not like Tomonari knew about Haggar other than the fact that he was mayor. Seemingly without warning, the Tyrant was defeated, and the man had shot a confident look at the boy. This made Tomonari jump in surprise again, and hesitating for a moment, eventually nodded in return.
Pausing to attempt to get himself together, Tomonari didn't have much time to think, as another zombie, another simple one luckily, began to rush at him. Beginning to freak out again, the teenager became frozen in fear for a short time. When the zombie was extremely close, the boy let out a yelp of fright. Again managing to react, Tomonari took his frying pan, and slammed it right into the zombie's face. He then stood there, really starting to let things take its toll on him.
((Gah, this post is kinda suck. >_> ))

Haggar was grinning in victory at having destroyed the Tyrant monster. Haggar had never really fought anything that big aside from the Andore family. Those guys were a hoot, Hugo and the rest of his effed up family used to work as small time enforcers here in New York. Haggar almost destroyed that whole gang during the kidnapping of his daughter around 15 years ago now. As he'd finished talking to Tomo he viewed a sprinting zombie running towards the young man. Tomo seemed to react well by bashing it in the head with his ever trusty frying pan.
"Reminds me of an ol' buddy of mine. El Fuerte. Crazy bastard has his own restaurant in Mexico... Terrible cook, not a bad wrestler though. Haggar said, reminiscing on his old wrestling days. Haggar really hadn't had this much of a fight in many a year now, often just doing nothing but paperwork at his desk and a few public appearances here and there. He did like to spar with his friends Cody and Guy quite a bit but they've all gone their separate paths. Cody's in jail and refuses to allow Haggar to bail him out and Guy's moved away to Japan. Haggar had no real way to get out all his fighting urges, as almost every fighter has. Mike always enjoyed the thrill of fighting and saw it as a lifestyle.
"Hey, coast is clear. Haggar said, walking up to the door to the building that Tomo had needed to get to. Some mid sized store it seemed. Mike saw it was quite well boarded up, with a yell he spun around in a circle holding his arms out, smashing the boards and allowing access to the door. Haggar held it open for the man, looking around suspiciously to see if any more of these things were lurking around waiting.
((OOC: crappy post, sorry. Yours was fine though.))
