Name: DWN-011 Bubble Man
Alias: Bubble Man, Bubble, DWN-011, Number Eleven, "Useless"
Age: Never specifically stated, and given his robot-y origins, very diffucult to determine.
Ranking: Neutral
Physical Appearance: Lookie here
Bubble Man is a short little mechanical fellow, with a primarily green color scheme. He barely reaches four foot six in height, and despite his small size, weighs in at a hefty three hundred or so pounds from his dense construction. His body, arms and ankles are a dark shade of sea green, with his waist and upper arms and legs being a light, sea blue color. He wears a filtering mask over his lower face, and goggles over his bright blue eyes. On his back you'll find a turbine pack. His left arm and the strange apapratus on his head are both weapons. In many places, used as trimming mostly, there are gold bands of differing shades, and finally there is a large red gem set in his chest.
Personality: Bubble Man is a horribly shy, introverted, socially awkward, and chronically lonely little robot. He's been isolated under the water for nearly his entire existence, and so has next to no skill at interacting with others in a conventional way. In fact, he tends to avoid interactions when he can, because he's so shy and more often than not doesn't have anything to say or do, or else can't actually bring himself to say anything. Despite that, he longs for company and friendship more than anything else.
In addition to his shyness and social awkwardness, Bubble Man is also extremely sad and depressed with his lot in life, and automatically assumes anyone he meets is going to make fun of him for his design flaw, just as his creator did. This weighs heavily on his mind, and when he has to interact with someone, he prefers not to move if he can help it to avoid showcasing his flaw.
In fact, he just prefers to stay in the water when at all possible. Not only does he kinda have to, but it's just much easier to get around and much less awkward.
Powers/Abilities: Bubble Man, like all Robot Masters, is a robot; and quite a sutrdy one at that. This gives him a surprising level of strength and durability for his odd-looking little frame. He's easily strong enough to overpower any normal human in terms of physical strength, but physical power wasn't his design perspective, so he's somewhat lacking in comparison to most other Robot Masters. His body is comprised of a durable titanium-steel alloy, making it both durable and relatively flexible and resistant to wear and corrosion.
Bubble Man's true design function was as an underwater fighter. In the water, he can move with alarming quickness, darting about far faster than most can swim. This is due to not only his flippers, but also by a turbine pack (think a jetpack that only works underwater) on his back propelling him quite quickly. As well, being in the water will restore his strength and energy if he can remain submerged long enough.
Bubble Man's primary weapon is the Bubble Lead. This weapon is useful in several ways. The primary offensive use of it is to fire durable bubbles, made up of a mixture of water, a light melted steel alloy, and sulfuric acid. These bubble projectiles can range from the size of a small pebble to nearly two feet across, and seem to be directed by Bubble Man's will, as they often swerve about chaotically when fired. The smaller the bubble, the faster it moves, but the less damage it causes, and vice versa for larger bubbles.
Bubble Man can also fire much larger, more durable bubbles. These lack the acidity of the smaller, weaponized bubbles, but serve another purpose: the ability to trap things. Upon contact with something, the bubble will envelop it. These bubbles are, as mentioned, quite durable and diffucult to pop or escape from with blunt means, such as trying to punch or otherwise beat your way out, but will eventually pop if enough effort is put in. Sharp objects, whether they be cutting or piercing, are much more effective, however. This isn't just limited to trapping any opponents Bubble Man might fight. He can also trap projectiles fired at him, wepaons, and any objects which he manages to hit with a sufficiently sized bubble.
And finally, Bubble Man can use defensive maneuver, forming a large bubble about himself as a shield. This bubble is much more durable than the others, and prevents most or all damage that doesn't pop it, making it quite useful in a pinch.
Bubble Man can also fire simple plasma shots from his arm cannon. They are weak and don't pack a terrible punch, but he can fire them in quick bursts, and they're fast little buggers, which makes avoiding them diffucult at best.
Also of note, Bubble Man can fire his attacks from either his arm cannon or the cannon atop his head. And he can also just shoot plain old bubbles for entertainment, as well as bursts or streams of water. It should also be noted that at need, Bubble Man can produce a razor sharp harpoon from his arm cannon for melee combat.
Equipment: Bubble Man's primary equipment is integrated into his body, for the most part. His left arm is a standard-issue arm cannon, which he uses to fire both his Bubble Lead as well as standard plasma shots. The arm cannon can also produce a sharp harpoon for close-quarters fighting if the need arises. He also has a peculiar device on his head, which is also a cannon, and can be used to launch his Bubble Lead for a surprise attack if need be. And finally, on his back, and the only truly vulnerable piece of his equipment, is a turbine pack for aiding his movement underwater.
Psychological Flaws: Bubble Man is notoriously lonely, shy, and awkward. This makes it extremely diffucult for him to function properly in social situations and even in battle. And with how easily he forms attachments to those who show him even a bit of kindness, he's extremely hesitant to use violence against anyone who he considers a friend or even acquaintance.
Physical Flaws: Perhaps Bubble Man's most obvious weakness is also his most embarressing one. Due to a design flaw....he can't walk. He can swim just fine, and he can jump around if he needs to. He just....can't walk. This actually forces him to jump and hop constantly to get around, making it extremely hard for him to get around when not in the water.
Bubble Man is quite weak to sharp, cutting objects, specifically saws. They make his primary offense much less useful by popping them far easier, and tend to carve right through him and deal significant damage.
Other Flaws: Bubble Man requires an intake of energy to remain functioning. In his case, it happens to be water, which he uses to 'breathe' much like a fish. This means he can't stay out of water for too long, or he will risk powering down or even 'dying'. As it stands, Bubble Man cannot venture out of water for more than a few minutes, and even then he has to fill his diving mask with water to enable even that.
Brief History: Bubble Man's history is mostly unknown. What is known is that he was the very first Robot Master created by Dr. Albert Wily that was intended for underwater combat. He was a success in his design, but with a major defect that left him unable to walk, and therefore useless. Wily couldn't help but laugh and disregard Bubble Man because of this flaw, even when it was his own fault as Bubble Man's creator.
Bubble Man was then delpoyed to an underwater location to serve as a guard and regulator for the area. He was sad and rather disleased with his lot, and quickly grew depressed and horribly lonely, as he had no one to interact with or talk to. When Megaman showed up to battle him for his service to Wily, Bubble Man was defeated, as he couldn't bring himself to fight at his full potential against the first guest he had ever gotten in his underwater 'home.'
After his defeat, he was left alone and seemingly inoperable at the bottom of the sea. He was still active, and after some time, managed to re-activate his systems and attain necessary repairs to return to full working order. However shortly after he had done so, he was assaulted by black cords which ripped from the depths of the ocean, grabbing him and pulling him down, and into the earth.
He would find himself spewed back out in very different waters, in a location he was entirely unfamiliar with. And he was extremely confused and worried.
