Name: Bruce Wayne
Alias: Batman
Age: 30 something?
Ranking: Anti-Hero
Physical Appearance:
As Bruce Wayne, he stands at six foot tall, perhaps a little more. Having honed his body to physical perfection, he's also extremely well built. Usually, in his Bruce Wayne persona, he wears fancy and expensive suit and ties, in order to better project the image of a wealthy elite.
As Batman, his appearance varies slightly from time to time. He always appears with his trademark ears on his mask, as well as a black cape. The batsuit itself has gone through several changes, and covers his entire body, save for his mouth, chin and immediately surrounding skin.
Personality:
As Bruce Wayne, he tries to project the facade of a wealthy and irresponsible playboy. When not managing his corporate affairs, Bruce can be seen cruising around Gotham City in various expensive, exotic cars, or throwing wild and lavish parties.
As the Batman, or his true persona, he takes on a completely opposite personality. He's cold, cunning and in some ways as ruthless as the criminals he fights against. He's also quite reclusive and mistrusting of most other people, perhaps even to the point of being paranoid.
Powers/Abilities:
Peak Human Prowess: Years of training and exercise have honed his body to physical perfection. As a result, the Batman can out muscle anyone that doesn't have superhuman strength, outrun anyone without superhuman speed and out maneuver anyone without superhuman agility.
Martial Artist: The Batman is an expert at various forms of martial arts. Among the martial arts forms he's skilled at are judo and ninjitsu, the mastery of the latter granting him seemingly supernatural stealth capabilities.
Mental Prowess: The Batman has shown time and again that he's both knowledgeable in a vast array of subjects (including advanced maths, history, computers, engineering, chemistry and psychology) but also has the critical thinking skills or common sense to use his plethora of knowledge to make his one of the most well known and feared heroes.
Will Power: The Batman has demonstrated on multiple occasions to possess a will power that seems virtually unbreakable.
Equipment:
The Batsuit: The Batsuit not only helps mask Batman's identity, but also proved practical and effective in fighting crime. The suit itself functions as body armor (with some special variants granting Batman superhuman strength and speed). The cape can go from being a limp, cloth-like material to a stiff and rigid structure that enables the Batman to glide through the skies of Gotham. Additionally, the mask contains several electronic suites such as radio communicators, microphones, and various vision modes and HUDs in the lenses over the eyes.
Utility Belt: Just as useful as the rest of the Batsuit combined, the utility belt gets its own special section. The belt is an important extension of the Batsuit, and houses most of Batman's handheld gadgets, including grenades, bombs, bat-o-rangs, grappling hooks, and various other important items.
Wayne Manor/Batcave: Wayne Manor is a vast, luxurious mansion on the edge of Gotham City. It's here that Bruce Wayne lives, however, most of Batman's time is spent in the caverns underneath Wayne Manor, appropriately dubbed the Batcave. The Batcave not only provides a safe sanctuary for the Batman, but also houses state-of-the-art technology that Batman can not carry with him, such as the Batcomputer. Additionally, the Batcave also houses various vehicles of Batman's, such as the Batmobile and Batwing.
Psychological Flaws:
Paranoid: Batman is suspicious of the motives of anyone outside his trusted butler, Alfred Pennyworth. As a result, this makes it very hard for him to team up with anyone and forced him to adopt a loner personality.
Hand Held Guns: Although the Batman has vehicles with guns, rockets and other weapons mounted on them, he has a big taboo about using a hand held gun. Even if his life depends on it, he wont pick up a hand held gun and fire it, unless it's a nonlethal.
Murder: In the Batman's eyes, the taking of a life is the absolute extreme. As such, he's designed his crime fighting arsenal and techniques to be nonlethal. However, every man does that which is right in their own eyes. Although Batman loathes to kill, there are exceptions.....
Physical Flaws:
Mere Human: Although Batman is as strong as the strongest normal human, he possesses no superhuman powers. Likewise, he is able to be poisoned, sickened or injured just like any normal human.
Other Flaws:
Brief History:
Bruce Wayne was born into the lap of luxury to Thomas and Martha Wayne in Gotham City. The family was very close and tight knit. As a result, the murder of his parents when he was just a small boy forever ruined Bruce's chances of having a normal life. In a constant state of grief, Bruce became lost and directionless.
Eventually, he devoted his life to vengeance and to help insure nothing like that would ever happen to anyone else ever again. Young Bruce then ran away, traveling the world to soak up as much knowledge and training as he could. He honed his martial arts skills, physical prowess and mental capacity to perfection and then returned to Gotham City years later.
Using what he learned from his travels, Bruce Wayne adopted the persona of Batman, choosing to let his true self show as Batman while turning Bruce Wayne into the mask to shield himself from society. As Batman, he not only uses his martial arts prowess against his foes, but also their own subconscious fears and superstitions. As such, the Batman straddles the line between vigilante and urban legend.
