Melinda sighed as she talked about anything else that went through. She felt like she finally had another friend to trust and that made her feel rather good. Melinda looked then looked down and back at Cordelia as she heard what she said and nodded her head, to let her know that she got what she meant and that she agreed. It was rather easy to tell that she was being sarcastic. "When you live life like I do or close to my life then that is what you are going through."
"They are pretty common. Yet, there are times when they are dominate until they decide to attack. It mostly depends on the ghost. Yeah I hate to deal with evil ghosts a lot as well as an evil ghost whisperer" She looked at Jim as she listened to what he said and nodded at that. "Yeah, just as Jim just said"
Melinda had the feeling that Cordelia saw what Jim did as a sweet but also quesionable act as she saw it the same thing. Well she thought that she did, not that it would surprise her if that was the case. Melinda herself wasn't sure if she would have done the same thing or not but luckily she didn't need to think about it as she wasn't in that case. She doubted that she would be in that situation ever or so she thought anyway and hoped. Melinda shock her head from that thoughts as she smiled at Cordelia then at her husband and sighed. She herself was still surprised and shocked by all what she and her family went through.
Melinda asked her about her because if she told her about herself and her husband she felt that it was time to know more about Cordelia, as it only made sense. Yet, she didn't mind what she tells them as long as it explains about her and as long as she was fine talking about that, it was all that mattered.
"I see, so we are not the only ones then huh?" she looked at her rather surprised, to say the least then again she wasn't to surprised after what both her and her husband witnessed Cordelia doing. "Vampires? I would say no way but after all I went through anything seems possible to me. You fought vampires? Just vampires or other things too?" She looked at her husband then at Cordelia and nodded. Melinda watched her and sighed. "Don't worry about it and as it is understandable and as my husband said. He is right, I agree"

Okay then! That explanation had gone down smoothly, judging by Melinda and Jim's reactions. At least they weren't calling to have her booked in a mental institution, anyway, and anything about that was positive in Cordy's book. "Oh believe me, I wish I was making this stuff up." she muttered with an exasperated shake of her head. Of course, it was more than likely that the brunette didn't mean this quite as vehemently as she claimed to. If she were 'making this stuff up', that would mean a life without Angel. Or Wesley, Fred, Gunn, Lorne...her family. And the truth was, without them Cordelia would have still been the ditzy, superficial bitch she'd been back in high school. On top of that, she'd probably be living in Los Angeles in a box right now, still trying to make it in Hollywood. Pshh.
"But anyways, it wasn't just vampires. You name it, I've probably fought it. Or ran from it. Or almost gotten eaten by it." She smirked a little as she listed off the possibilities, smiling almost fondly at the memories. Of course she hadn't been able to fight those monsters with any sort of competence until Angel had trained her, and there was no point in pretending otherwise. "I mean, an ascending demon almost massacred my whole high school class at our graduation. How friggin' rude is that?" ...Eh. That was one of her freakier anecdotes, to say the least. And she hadn't even mentioned that the ascending demon in question had been in the form of a...gigantic prehistoric snake. Too much? she wondered briefly, regarding Melinda and Jim with a brief wariness. ...Nah, they'd be fine. They'd gone through their own fair share of freaky stuff, anyway.
Still, when Jim suggested that perhaps lightening the mood was a good idea, she had to agree with him. Right. Happy thoughts. Cordelia gave a mischievous semi-grin at the very nature of his question, but wasted no time in answering. "Well, yeah. It was just a teeny bit dangerous." she agreed to the obvious, giggling a little at the understatement. "And I'm not sure I can honestly say I liked risking my life every other day to face off against the forces of darkness. But looking back...I guess I wouldn't change a thing." Except for the part where she'd been cheated, lied to, and had her life literally stolen from her, but hey! She didn't want to come off as bitter or anything? "It's hard to explain, but helping people, saving lives, and all that jazz...kinda changes you for the better." Her hazel eyes fell upon Melinda here, her eyebrows arching expectantly. "You know what I mean, right?"

Jim heard what Mel had to say as he nodded showing that he agreed with her and then looked at Cordelia again hearing what else she had to say about the things she had been through "Wow that sounds dangerous and very scary too" when she laughed he laughed as well watching them both with a smile. He was glad that they had another person they could trust with this stuff and that Melinda could go talk to if and when needed. He was glad to hear his true name from Cordelia and Melinda as he missed being called that though he knew they said it so that no one sle would hear it around them.
"Sounds like you had a very interesting and dangerous life style, and I thought what Melinda here does was dangerous but that? Well any way it all seems so strange but interesting to me as I never knew such things were real until now but I can't say I'm surprised after all that me and Melinda here have seen and been through" he then sighed as he said this and watched them both again wondering what Mel thought of all of this.
He watched her as she spoke again "a demon ruined your school? Most people would be happy about some of that part" he laughed as he said this and watched her again "seriously now that sounds bad and not fun to deal with that is for sure" he thought this strange and interesting as he never knew any of that was even possible but it didn't surprise him after all Melinda had been through all these years.
He watched them both and smiled as he was glad to be with Mel and their new friend since she was interesting and fun to be with as well. He thought of Cordelia like Melinda had that she is sweet and caring but then again so was Melinda in his mind so they fit to be friends really. "No one likes risking their lives to save others but the fact that you and Mel do so shows that you both are not only brave but very sweet as well" Jim heard what she had to say to Mel and waited to see what his wife would say about that.
He then wonderd when their pizza that they got would come as he was getting slightly hungry now. He had heard the news about zombies out there but didn't know what to make of it all before they had met Cordelia and now he wasn't sure what to think. He smiled to them both again as he kissed Melinda and looked at Cordelia with a friendly smile after that.

She watched the both as they all talked and told each other things. "I agree with my husband about everything. Vampires and such are interesting as well as scary. How do you deal or how did you deal with that before?" she said curiously as sdighed to that. Melinda looked around then back at them and siged once more. "After all we went through we surely do believe you"
"Alright talking about something happy is really a good idea. We shouldn't talk more ablout bad things" Melinda said as she looked between the two. Talking about sad and bad things only made her feel bad and all. "Anything good and exciting you wanna tell us about?" she asked Cordelia curiously. Melinda looked between the two and sighed.
She looked at both while listening to her and thn nodded in a reply to Cordelia as she smiled you her husband about what he said. "Well, it's official we all went through a lot and are very lucky to stay a live and you are right I know what you mean, Cordelia. I even helped my grand grand grandmother move on and my biological father so it is definitely a lot and I know how it is all like" she smiled as she said this. "Life always changes you for the better"

Jim watched them both as Melinda spoke and he smiled to her happy that they were together no matter how much they had been through and even death it's self couldn't keep him away from her as he loves her that much. He waited for Cordelia to answer what they were saying and hoped the food would get there soon.
He then watched them both again and smiled "so what shall we talk about then? I'm sure there is something happy to talk about really" he then watched them both again as he said this and sighed slightly. He heard what Mel said about her great grandmother and her father and sighed slightly as he knew how hard it had been for her when that happened.
Jim himself was glad that they were safe in this place and hoped to never have to meet a zombie as he wasn't sure what he might do if he did. He thought about all that their new friend had seen and done and wondered if he would have been able to do the same if he were in her place. He admired both her and Melinda for being brave enough to do what they must even when it was scary for them to do so. Jim was of course a doctor and he loved it though he did wish it could be under his own name and not Sam's but he also knew that wasn't possible for him.
