Bridget panted and wheezed as he tried to catch his breath, looking up at Jones wearily as he inspected the car which really didn't look too damaged. Bridget leant over with his big blue eyes peering at the incredibly unimpressed man. "Huh, maybe if he didn't go around causing so much carnage he'd be impressed by that." he said to himself quietly in a somewhat sulking tone. He honestly hoped he would have raised even a slight amount of awe from the jaded man.
However, the grade he gave the young bounty hunter wasn't half bad. " C+ Hey, that's better than I ever got in school. Thanks." Bridget squeaked out, finally catching his breath as he raised up back to his full height. Granted it didn't make a huge difference around someone as big as Jones was but he preferred not to make himself appear even smaller.
Bridget nodded at the mentions of the knife fighting and repeat hits. "Well, I wouldn't dare use an edged weapon against a human being!" Bridget said in a somewhat shocked manner. He really employed the use of his circular saw blades due to the fact that it might just end up slicing someone up something fierce. Bridget disagreed on any kind of lethal tactics in a fight. Killing someone is something the young man never wanted to have on his conscience.
In a sudden turn of events Jones picked up a chair and flung it into the car, embedding itself into the door of the automobile. Somewhat perplexed, Bridget stared at Jones with a look on his face almost to ask 'what the heck are you doing?!' However, Bridget really shouldn't have expected any less from a guy who just asked him to trash a vehicle. 'Ever shot a gun?' that question shook Bridget up a bit, his eyes wide and fearful. "Oh, no, no no. I don't like guns. Uh uh! I'm not using one of them!" Bridget folded his arms, his usual happy face looking a bit annoyed of the prospect of a firearm being in any contact with him.

{Gots invited to join teh parteh :B} Holding onto a black cat which had peculiar blue eyes considering its fur pigment was pitch black, she looked over her shoulder to the sound of distant sirens nearly short of breath with a frown across her lips. They'd catch up to her again soon...somehow the cops ALWAYS found her when she wouldn't allow herself to do anything! How did someone get the riddle right anyway?! "You panicked and asked them something so simple that even a child could get it. Normally you're smarter than most humans...but this time you did something extremely stupid, Sphinx. Now hide in that building...I hear one of the cars actually getting closer. You know...rumor has it that jail is nicer when you get people to pity you..."
A devilish laughter sounded in her mind as tears rimmed her eyes...SHE DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK THERE! Sure it meant a roof over her head and yes it very well was far more comfortable to rest in than a tree but the people were scary at times. Some were really sweet but others? She didn't even want to think back on the horrors of how some individuals were! Bolting into the place called Sarah's Spa and sitting in the corner of the room...she stared at the receptionist with big...sad...kitty eyes that made her seem like she was a scared feral kitten of some kind...oh and those tears did the trick. "H-help...?" Squeaking out those words in a scared fashion while holding onto her cat...how...also fawned fear to help out with all this...mewing all pathetic and timid like. Much like a scared bundle of fluff, looked like this girl who seemed obsessed with x's with they way there were three upon her shirt, four in her hair in the form of clips at the edge of her bangs and ribbons behind her ears which also had x cuffs on them...not to mention her white spandex shorts with two on the side..., she was actually shaking a little bit.
Tears started rolling down her cheeks which almost seemed like they were permanently stuck in a light blush before nuzzling her chin against her cat buddy's head. The receptionist quickly picked up her phone and...well...figured it was best to fetch someone like Jones who was once upon a time a cop. They had a good idea on how to handle victims like this...well most of the time...though admittedly Jones was...errrr...Jones. Plus he had a nun in training with him! ....well she thought it was a nun in training...those clothes certainly looked the part. So she called one of the employees and told them "Could you get Jones and the nun in training? We have a bit of a problem..." Before turning to the girl with a bit of a smile, "It's ok, sweetie...we have someone here who will make sure you'll be alright...so just wait over there for a moment."
Looking around and staying out of the door's sight, she shakily...but slowly nodded her hear looking extremely pathetic. "We better hope these people they called aren't the police. If they know the people who got upset with you for doing the right thing, well, you might be in more trouble." Squeaking out a whimper, she closed her eyes, burying her face into Juju's fluffiness while shaking a bit and crying. Oh geeze...the receptionist was tempted to get up and hug the poor thing but...she really didn't want to do more harm than good.

Jones was about to explain the purpose, the reason behind trashing a car rather then just brawling for practice when he heard a hand repeatedly hitting the massively built door to the room. The sound of the reverberation bouncing around the room. Jones frowned more then usual and grabbed his coat. He winced a bit putting it on, the AC in the Spa helped but the heat of the day was high and he was a large man. Big guys tended to hold in heat better and on a day like today that wasn't fun. But as much as it was miserable the coat was needed. It covered his gun, and it held all the tools of the trade in it so a little heat stroke might be possible but he had dealt with worse. Grunting as he chewed the cigarette in his mouth he walked to the door and opened it to one of Sarah's employees.
"What's wrong this time?"
On the other side of the door a green haired woman stood poised, she was dressed in a purple shirt and black gym shorts she put one hand on one hip as she smiled at him.
"Now Jones how come you say that everytime you see me?"
"Cause everytime you look for me something has gone wrong."
She pursed her lips in thought and then nodded thinking on it.
"... valid point. There is a little girl at the entrance apperently someone has given her a hard... time?"
She turned and watched as Jones stormed past the woman his legs pistoning into a fast walk. Not quite a jog but not far off. He yelled over his shoulder.
"C'mon kid! Move your butt!"
His legs carried him past the fighters and the brawlers, those working out and those trading tips he ignored them merely grunting at waves and invitations to join. His face was a granite block of determination and the woman who was jogging to keep up shook her head. The spa knew he always got this way about young kids, true he got this way around women in general but that was his old school caveman attitude at work. He burst through the doors and looked down upon the girl whimpering at the front desk. The gray hair man looked down at her and old gears started to move. He couldn't stop himself if he wanted to. His eyes flew over her looking for bumps and bruises, taking in how skinny she was a bit of rage bubbled up. It was an old rage, he hated to see anyone without to eat but he wasn't an idealist he knew he couldn't fix the world but he could make it a bit safer.
Noticing that his eyes began to analyze other things her cat eyes, her odd outfit and the black cat with him. His mind calculated the likely hood of her having custom contacts explaining the eyes and figured it was far too low to mater meaning in all likely hood she was something supernatural but... she was still a girl... and crying. and small and very very afraid. Part of him desired nothing more to walk out into the street, find whatever it was made her this way and smash it until crunchy noises stopped. Instead... he resolved to wait till later to do that. The receptionist spoke leaning over and speaking reassuringly.
"This is Mister Jones. He looks kinda scary I know but I promise he will not hurt you. He just wants to ask some questions and help. He is very good at helping."
She glared at Jones and Jones knowing what she was glaring about tried to smile, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards a bit as he tried an encouraging grin. It didn't work so good but Jones know what else might help hopefully she wouldn't flee first. He turned to the receptionist.
"Does Sarah still have those fixings in the staff kitchen?"
She grinned mockingly at him.
"You mean from that picnic you had to bail on?-"
Jones fought down a slight blush as she continued.
"Yeah they are there. go ahead."
Jones nodded his thanks and looked both at both of the small people now who had ended up in his charge and clapped his hands together. He spoke trying to be calm but friendly sounding with his gruff cigarette and whiskey voice.
"Okay kids, who wants sandwiches?"

Bridget suddenly jumped a bit, hearing the loud banging on the heavy steel door was quite jarring when he was only expecting an explanation as to why he had to just attempt to destroy a car. He stood up to his full height, not really paying attention now to Jones going to talk to an employee who wanted to speak to him for some reason, from what he could hear there was a young girl. Somehow, he could tell this was going to be hard on his new partner. Jones seemed the type that'd be hit hard by the thought of a young girl in pain.
The young bounty hunter was right, for a change. Jones had quickly stormed away into the direction of the problem, grunting to Bridget that he needed to keep up. Bridget had to almost run to keep up with the much larger man who was walking quickly past the various men training and ignoring them completely. "Hey, no need to be mad. I am TRYING to keep up." Bridget muttered softly, rolling his eyes at how grumpy Jones seemed to be. "I wonder what's wrong with this girl enough to make him this determined... Bridget said to himself, wondering what could be the issue at hand.
Bridget finally followed Jones to the reception, seeing a girl there with a very strange look to her. Well, more so than he was used to. After all, half of the people Bridget met were often quite odd looking but this girl struck him as more so. He looked on as Jones checked her for damage, feeling quite sorry for the crying girl but really not wanting to say much in case he just made it worse. After all, he sometimes had a habit of that. Bridget peered out beneath his blonde bangs at the girl, waiting until the lady had introduced Jones to give a timid wave, as to not disturb her at any point.
When he noticed Jones was talking to the receptionist he decided it might be a good idea to introduce himself. "I'm Bridget! I got assigned to work with Jones." He chirped out with a smile, hoping it might help the saddened girl a bit. However, now Jones had returned and asked if they wanted to eat. Well then! Bridget's never one to decline a free meal. "Sure!" he said with a smirk and looking at the girl, wondering what gave her the unique look.

Instinctively lifting her head up at the sound of people approaching, she lightly tightened her grip on the somewhat fluffy black cat with abnormally blue eyes. Staring up at the older man...he looked kind of grouchy...but the air about him didn't completely scream danger. Juju on the other hand slightly lowered his ears in and almost pathetic fashion. Frowning with tears cascading down those light blushing cheeks, biting her lip ever so slightly wondering what was gonna happen now. Oh no...and the other approaching person seemed to have crosses all over the place on his outfit! Juju normally kept her out of BAD situations, was this gonna be an exception?! Turning her attention over to the receptionist lady who seemed nice enough, it sounded like even if the man...who was supposedly named Jones....was going to be a good Samaritan and help her.
Looking back over to the man and the...young boy wearing a nunish outfit and blinking a couple of times. The albino girl contracted with her feline demon held dear Juju close with one arm and noticed that the young boy waved a timid little hello. Didn't seem like he wanted to ram a cross into her face until she `atoned for her sins`....and the older man wasn't being mean to her...so she slowly got up to her full height to reveal her legs were a little scratched up. The Jones fellow seemed to be talking to the receptionist lady about food...which sounded good since food was something to be accepted with biiiiiiiiig open arms. Huh...the fellow in nun style clothes sounded like a boy so that must mean he was a boy...right? Oh well the name sounded like a girl's but there were some pretty buff scary guys named Ashly out there...parents were weird sometimes! Holding up her free hand just a bit, she lightly waved her fingers while sniffling before squeaking out in a that hinted off she was trying to be polite...yet held a little fear, "H..hi..." not completely sure if it was ok to fully trust these people yet, but at the very least she'd be civil and a bit polite.
Be kind to nice people and give mean people hell until they wanna stop living or end their lives slowly and painfully, that was her motto! Lowering her hand to wipe away some tears, she did her best to flash off a small cat-like smile. Just about to introduced herself, the slits of her eyes suddenly widened a bit for the light red to overtake the blood red-shade of her optics into a semi-thin ring feeling a slight jolt shock through her body during the clap QUICKLY getting her attention. Even her hair seemed to slightly puff up while looking at the older man as if to quietly say `EEP!`. Yes...even Juju had a `OH CRAP WUT?!` look on his face complete with kitty poofy fluffiness. Blinking a couple of times while hugging onto Juju...the slits of her eyes thinned again as he mentioned sandwiches....letting a cat-like smile cross her lips, she happily threw in a "Sandwiches sound good, Mister Jones! By the way, my name is Sphinx, I hope we can all be friends!"
Shifting her gaze back and forth between the two at the end so that she wasn't rudely directing her introduction to only one of them but both of them. Setting down Juju as his fluffiness gradually went down, she brought her hands up to her hair and pat it down back to the normal thickness while walking over to the boy in a dress and....heard the sirens close to the building and frowned once again...oh no...they were going to check this place out! Juju mewed up at Jones trying to let him know something was up and jerked his head over to the door then jumped up to cling and hang onto the back of good ol' Jones' coat keeping his tail up and out of sight. NORMALLY she'd hide behind the person who looked more intimidating but Bridget was closer so she scrambled behind him like a white blur and lifted up the coif careful not to touch the crosses and crouched down to hide under it. Smooshing her face against his back while putting her hands behind his shoulders she whispered apologetically laced with panic, "I'm so sorry, but can I pretty please hide here, Mister Bridget? The police think I did something bad...I-I don't wanna go to jail for something I didn't do..." Letting out an itty bitty whimper, she REALLY hoped he wasn't going to evict her from her hiding place cause the figures of a few policemen made their way through the doors.
One of them looked over to Jones and ....his partner who...was....painstakingly obviously behind the nun `girl`. This man was the oldest of the bunch, about forty five or so...the other two looked kinda younger. Who was he? Zachary Eisenberg, one of the cops who helped train recruits! "Oi, Jones...you and the little miss seen an albino cat eyed kid? We're pretty sure she's a suspect to attempted murder 'though she's young n' all...we wanted to question her but she asked us a riddle n' bolted when I got it right. Kinda weird...don't ya think? A...little suspicious.."
Tilting his head over to the `girl` in blue and white who even he could see had someone trying to hide but failing at it behind him. The other two cops were just kinda looking around...one of which thought the reception area was neat. Admittedly though...with the way Sphinx had herself hidden...it was almost as bad as a cat hiding partially behind the curtains...or a box with a tail sticking out...DEFINITELY not stealthy! "Stay calm, Sphinx...you know like how you should have when the police came in the first place..." Giving Sphinx a little comment securely in the depths of her mind, the girl was so quiet at this point that it was like she wasn't even there...aside from being a big ol' lump.
{Hope this is okies :3 if not I shall fixinate eet!}

Jones looked up at the cops in the reception area. He knew them. Good old fashion plodders that didn't think twice about the world around them. They didn't believe in monsters, didn't whistle as they walked past a graveyard and he guaranteed they didn't have a pocket with a box of chalk in it. More the pity for them. But they did believe in Jones. Was hard not to. Despite his 'nervous breakdown' he had a good amount of respect in cop circles. Most of them didn't bother to call him by 'Mister' anymore and he allowed that but they showed him respect for various reasons, the veteran status and the fact... that while they did not believe in monsters sometimes strange things happened. Strange horrible things... then Jones came and the things stopped. He occupied an odd niche. A odd zone in their mind. Obviously he didn't really fight monsters but the gangs imitating them were scared of him so that was good enough.
Humans were so good at deceiving themselves. It was mind-boggling really but then again... Jones used to be just like them.
"Hmmm albino?... pink hair?"
Jones reached up a hand to scratch his cheek as one of the cops peered at Bridget. He slowly gazed at the cop as he felt Jones's stare at him and slowly returned the gaze.
"Would you leave that kid alone. He has had some bad experiences, you staring at him like a pedo won't help him get over them."
"What? He is a... and PEDO?"
Jones waved a hand at the suddenly pink faced cop dismisively.
"Yeah I know you are nothing of the sort but peering at him and the little girl who is scared of men between the age of twenty and old isn't gonna help the situation I am dealing with."
The cop slowly calmed down and he and his partner exchanged glances before looking at Jones. As usual Jones stood firm, reliable. The cop jerked his head towards the boy and the girl who was 'hiding'. They looked at the one and the hidden one with a bit of pity.
"You mean..."
"It's a sick world Sargent Finagin. You should have worked things out by now... and... this girl... pink hair... albino... about yay tall."
Jones indicated with uncanny precision Spinx's exact height.
"Small creepy black cat?"
The cops looked at Jones their eyes widening. They noticed his gaze seemed to have drifted slightly past them, out the glass doors into the street. Jones pursed his lips slightly as he noticed them straining their utmost to not look over their shoulders where he was looking. They hadn't mentioned the cat so reason indicated...
"She is out there isn't she..."
"How many pink haired albinos do you know kid? There is an alley across the way..."
The cop winced at being called kid. That was a habit of Jones and it tended to irk the younger policemen when he worked for them but what could they do. He was older then them.. plus he had a tenancy to glare... unpleasantly if not given proper respect. It wasn't a fun time had by all when Jones was annoyed. The cops eyed narrowed as Jones went to move forward. He held a hand out.
"Jones... you KNOW you aren't a cop. You can't just go arrest people. I know you are fast... but this is not your place anymore."
He didn't speak rudely but firmly. His feet planted as an immovable wall. Jones rolled his eyes and nodded and made a shooing motion with his hand.
"Then you better move... she will get away otherwise."
The cops nodded... And then bolted. They burst out the door and started running towards the alley, they saw nothing but just chalked it up to her already in the alley running. They had longer legs so they were bound to outrun her... or so they hoped. While they were trying to catch someone not there Jones looked back at the Bridget and the little girl and spared a glance at the receptionist with a faint half grin before his face reformed to his normal grumpy and sadly without a cigarette dangling from his lip look.
"Remember. The best way to lie is to not actually lie at all."
He pointed at Bridget as he said that. Hoping his partner had understood and noticed at no point in the conversation did Jones actually lie. He had indicated their was an alley across the street but never said she was there. He had said only truths the whole time not being comfortable about lying to officers of law and order. He reviewed his words and finding them to his satisfaction he motioned for the two to follow him.
"C'mon on kids, sandwiches. I'll make them and you better eat every bite."
He started heading towards the kitchen and certain Noms.

Bridget was looking at the girl when she squeaked out a greeting. He could only hope she didn't find him intimidating or untrustworthy. It's not like he appeared intimidating at all, but you just had to be certain. He wondered to himself silently if her saying hi was an indication of any type of trust. He stared over at Jones, the proposition of food seemingly making the young girl ever more happy.
The girl even mentioned her name being Sphinx and the fact she wanted to make friends was a good enough reason for Bridget to beam a huge smile, closing his bright blue eyes. "Ohmigosh, Sphinx is such a cool name. I love it! I'll love to be friends with you. I haven't got many friends, so it's really nice." Bridget said with a tone of childlike excitement to his voice, looking over at the oddly dressed girl.
However, randomly the girl seemed to walk right over to him upon hearing the noise of police sirens and without warning had hidden herself under his shawl with her face smooshed up against his back. He almost squealed a bit as any kind of female contact with him was rare and often got him flustered, no matter what it really was. Sphinx even mentioned after the sudden hiding that she wanted somewhere to lay low from the police to make sure none of them found her. "Uhm... S-sure. Just it may be kinda hard to hide yourself from the police there as they might see you. It's worth a try!" he managed to squeak out, holding the very ends and wrapping them over his arms in an attempt to hide Sphinx a bit better. 'attempt' being the key word, it really did little good.
The young bounty hunter stared at the trio of policemen who entered, some of which recognized from his little nap at the police station earlier. Bridget also seemed to notice one of them staring directly at him and Sphinx. "Just stay calm, okay? I don't think he caught on." Bridget said almost silently back to Sphinx when at this point he caught Jones mentioning something about staring at him like a pedo. "People call Mister Johnny that all the time, maybe this guy is friends with Mister Johnny, that'd be cool." he thought to himself as he just calmly waited for the police to leave, noting how Jones was trying to get rid of them by cryptically fooling the lot.
Soon Bridget saw the bunch of them leave and Jones mentioning how the best way to lie was not at all. "I understand, but I never lie. I just can't." he said, completely missing the point. He also mentioned about them getting some food. "They've gone, Sphinx. You can come out and eat." he said calmly, looking back at the lump under his shawl.

OH NO! No no no no no no no she couldn't believe these guys knew this Mister Jones person! THIS WAS SCARY! REALLY FREAKING SCARY! Sure her luck wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst and right now it didn't exactly make her feel safe. If the police caught her then she'd have to sneak her way out AGAIN and...she didn't wanna...she made such nice friends! Closing her eyes tightly as she kept her face pressed against Bridget's back, she felt safe hiding here since he was so nice and friendly with the way he responded to her greeting.
The nice boy who dressed like a girl loved not only her name but the idea of being friends with her plus they had the common ground of not having a whole bunch of friends. Yes, of course she had the circus folk and then the nice man, Venom, but a lot more people didn't like her than she liked. It wasn't exactly pleasant being viewed as a freak by the vast majority. What was nice, however....out of that mess...is that she could delightfully clean up the world of mean people. The nice thing is that even though Bridget pointed out how it'd be hard to hide from the police, it was worth a try and went so far as to hold his shawl down a bit more to help conceal her more. Really REALLY hoping that this Jones guy wasn't going to help apprehend her with a nervous frown across her lips, she listened being completely on edge and wanting to continue her day with these two or at least Bridget! Huh...he...he was....helping her? But...they knew each other...those police knew Mister Jones yet he was defending her...?
SHE MADE SUCH GOOD FRIENDS! Oooo plus he was out smarting them! REALLY SMOOTH AND USEFUL TOO! No no no....she couldn't start seeing someone so nice as a tool of some kind! That was probably Juju trying to influence her way of thinking! Sometimes he did that when he figured someone could be incredibly useful...that's one thing she wasn't too fond of with her demon kitty companion. Oh well....once Bridget informed her of the coast being clear plus it was ok to get food she quickly hugged him around the waist with those scrawny arms of hers and squeaked out a gleeful, "Thank you so much for hiding me, Mister Bridget!"
Ducking and stepping out from under the shawl doing a half twirl so she was standing right next to Bridget with a big ol' cat-like smile across her lips. "And thank you lots Mister Jones for protecting me from the scary men!" With a sincerely appreciative tone coating those words with what sounded like a light purr, she tilted her head up a bit when recollecting FOOD! Oooo food was very good! Watching the older man walk off on his way...and...Juju purring as he hitched a free ride via trench coat clinging...she grasped onto Bridget's hand and chased after Mister Jones. Delightfully, she practically purred out the words, "Food time, food time~!" OH YES....today was turning out to be a not so crappy day!

Jones felt the cat cling to his coat but ignored it. As they entered the kitchen he peeled it off and placed it on a chair as he looked upon the gleaming counters, the organized shelves, the clean table. Sarah liked her place just so especially places that food came out of. Jones was more... fluid. It was hygienic just.. not as neat as Sarah kept this place or her own place. Grunting at this and at the cat trapped under the various folds of his coat Jones went to the refridgerator door and opened it and began pulling things out. Pulling out a container of mayo he raised an eyebrow as it bragged about being made of more healthy olive oil and he looked down to see if there was normal mayo in the door and instead found another note inside the note.
Eating heathier foods will not kill you.
Wondering how she did that Jones still put the mayo back in the door and pulled out the normal mayo, note or no he saw no point in taking the chance of health food killing him, besides the two kids needed fattening up. Seriously. The two of them were bean poles. Grabbing cheese, various meats, a few sub buns, and various what nots as well as knives to spread things and cut things Jones set to work. Meat was sliced and bread was cut as sandwiches that at the very least could be called impressive and more likely to be called 'good grief!' were manufactured. At one point Jones stopped and releashed the bun he was cutting as he realised he forgot the mustard. The bun and the knife just floated in the air stock still as he kept in place with sheer willpower... and telekinesis as he went to the fridge and picked up the mustard before returning to sandwich making.
As he worked he stood in his shirt and tie and gun holster, the handle of the gun decorated with a tiny piece of plastic that bounced when he moved, a tiny plastic bead from a child's charm bracelet. A dark stain was on the surface of it, obviously never cleaned. He worked steadily and in time produced three sandwiches, putting one in front of each of the humans, and on the floor he places a can of tuna opened and delidded to prevent the chance of the cat hurting itself on it. Taking the sub in both hands Jones bit into it and chewed.
"Go on, I expect you two to eat every bite or I will hold you down and force feed you."

Bridget tilted his head letting out a surprised 'eep' from the hug he gotten from Sphinx, giving a light hug back. Bridget wasn't entirely sure exactly how he was supposed to hug her back so he just loosely put his arms around her shoulders awkwardly with a blush. Bridget wasn't all that used to contact with others. He could probably count the hugs he'd gotten in his adult life on one hand so he wasn't quite sure on exactly how to return said hug but tried his very best.
"Any way I can help I guess..." Bridget chirped out in his usually happy way. He honestly found it fun hanging out with this Sphinx girl, she even had an awesome dress sense! Bridget usually found the outfits of his friends lacking in visual flair, they usually tended to look drab and boring. It was really great to have someone wearing such vibrant and pretty colours around him. She was also being a lot nicer than May! Of course, May was a good friend of his but she had the tendency to be quite brash and bully him playfully. Still, maybe one day he can introduce his new friend to May. Bridget suddenly felt a grip on his hand, pulling him into the direction Jones was following. Bridget scurried up to match her stride, his blue boots making a skidding noise as he quickly stopped, now standing inside the kitchen with the two of them.
He stared up to watch as Jones started to make quite professional looking sandwiches. Bridget always sucked at that kind of thing. He once attempted to cook and it's entirely likely what he made was about as edible as dirt. After that, he avoided making food altogether and it was usually handled by Dizzy on the Mayship, or he ate things that tended not to need cooking unless it was by microwave at home. He folded the free arm that Sphinx wasn't holding onto over his stomach idly, staring at the work this guy was doing until he noticed the telekinesis holding the various food in the air. Bridget let out a shocked gasp. After all, the last guy he knew that could hold objects in the air also happened to be a world class assassin who had it out for Mister Johnny, so it was easy to explain his surprise.
Soon after, Jones had made the rather professional looking sandwiches and even got some food for Juju. He also threatened to force feed them if they didn't eat it all. Bridget's eyes widened in slight shock, not sure whether it was a joke or truth. Out of fear of being restrained and forced to eat he began to dig into the sandwich. "OHMIGOSH!" he squeaked out after taking a bite. "These are great!" he said as he resumed eating.

The demon kitty couldn't help but get this sour look on his face that just looked like a ridiculously cute pout of irritation that a cat would give if it didn't get nomz. Unlatching himself like a total SOURPUSS from the older man's jacket, he then tilted his cute kitty nose up a bit and sniffed away as though he could smell holiness concealed within the damn thing. Letting out a low growl of a hiss, he glared and poofed out his fur before turning to spare a glance at the old man Jones as though he might be some sort of useful rival. Something about the older man was off....he didn't like it....not one bit but he was being helpful toward both himself and Sphinx...plus he wasn't hurting either of them. One slip up and that might all change...Juju was one hell of a smart demon kitty, he wasn't about to botch things up. As for Sphinx, she was a bubbly little disaster waiting to happen at times. In fact when the albino girl with feline attributes got a hug back, she purred quite loudly...almost to the point of being obnoxious. Even nuzzling her constantly blushing cheek against his shoulder like an oh so happy kitty that just got a bundle of wanted affection for a moment as though it was a reflex.
STILL having a huge kitty-like grin across her pale pink lips and even continuing to purr out loud like it was a very normal thing to do. More so on the hand holding adventure over to the kitchen, pulling the blonde along as though she was the happiest human who sold her soul to a demon EVERRRR! He was so nice! Everyone around her today was nice, nice, nice! Like that really nice Venom fellow who she looked to as a best friend and in a way, surrogate father figure. Once she got to the kitchen, she screeched her heels to a halt and glanced around with her eyes widened. He was making them sandwiches!
Delicious, yummy sandwiches! Bringing her free hand to her lips, she couldn't help but watch with sheer curiosity....it seemed like he wasn't a normal human at all...there was a sense of power to him after all. As long as he was nice to her, she really hadn't a problem at all and didn't mind his nifty abilities which came in rather handy for sandwich making! The feline demon watched with both interest and a bit of caution like a predator watches another predator trying to size them up...but shifted to that of a cat being entertained by a mouse...still a little more poofed than usual. Er....in the midst of EPIC sandwich making both Juju and Sphinx caught a glimpse of the charm on his gun dancing along with his every move. It wasn't super shiny but it was an itty bitty object moving along as though asking to be batted at. The both of them lightly shook their heads and blinked a couple of times at the sight of food ready for them. Not really wanting to let go of her new buddy's hand, but letting excitement of FREE FOOD getting to her, she let go of Bridget's hand and grasped onto the sandwich with both hands out of sheer excitement.
"THANK YOU FOR THE MEAL!" Loudly purring out those words in an oh so delightfully thankful fashion, she began chowing down VERY happily on the sandwich. Juju let out a polite mew as though to say `thank you` in kitty talk and began to munch away at the tuna with...way more class than his human companion. Okay okay so she wasn't eating like a barbarian or as though it was an eating contest....she did have SOME manners like chewing with her mouth closed...but it was like the cat was a noble with the way he feasted in comparison to the peculiar girl. The both of them enjoyed every single bite, but Juju was taking a bit longer than Sphinx...who...finished her sandwich in a matter of minutes. Licking away at her fingers to get rid of the crumbs and whatever little leftovers that slipped out of the sandwich, purring rather loudly like a happy kitty after a huge meal. Turning her seemingly innocent gaze up toward Jones and blinking with a huge cat-like smile still remaining on her lips, she couldn't help but happily blurt out, "That was delicious, Mister Jones!"
BUT....her cat-like eyes in slits watched the charm jingle jangle about a bit more....then....she scooted on over before crouching a bit and began attempting to paw away and the stained charm with her knuckles. It felt VERY important....but alas the feline habits she inherited couldn't resist playing with the dangling charm from that gun of his. The slits of her eyes even expanded to widened ovals in sheer delight of getting to play with it. Juju more than likely would have joined her...but he was too busy enjoying his tuna feast like a happy hungry demon kitty.

Jones watched with pride as the two scarfed down the sandwiches, his usual frown on his face lightening a bit. It was obvious the both of them more then needed a good meal in them. He doubted very much that the two of them combined would weigh more then a hundred and fifty pounds soaking wet. The boy... odd dress... really odd dress sense... but... at least he was skinny from very natural means he guess... the girl. She was skinny, far to skinny. Far far to skinny. He kept it from entering his face but part of him raged at this. He needed to know if she had guardians. He she did... he was going to have a loud angry talk with them. He might have to break a wall or two but he would get his point across. He was told he was very good at getting people to understand his view on subjects leaving no room for confusion.
Taking his sandwich and taking a bit he was relishing the food. The... noms as the cool kinds apparently called it now, when his newest... charge?... ally?... whatever, inched over and reached up. He began to grab hold of his sandwich and tear it in two thinking she really needed more when she started to reach... for...his hand moved at a speed impressive for his age. His expression beyond grim as he took hold of her wrist in a grip of purest iron. An immovable anchor of flesh and bone. He didn't squeeze, didn't bend the arm, didn't break a bone. Sheer will power held back the rage that was nearly always simmering back in his mind. A voice escaped his lips, a voice that seemed to come from a long way away, from a man hanggliding over hell, the tones echoing strangely in the kitchen.
"Don't. Don't. No. Never that. No one touches that understand. No one gets to touch that. Not ever. Not. Ever."
Slowly Jones releashed the arm and the grim, the rage receded. He looked at Jinx and lowered his hand. Looking at it a bit ashamed. He looked to the boy as well and then looked down and the little charm.
"...it's... it's very important. It's very very important to me. It... it was my daughter's. A piece of a bracelet I gave her. The only piece left from..."
The was a sadness to Jones, a sadness that seemed to be as heavy as the world pushing down on the man, a man usually like iron bent under the pressure.
"... what happened to her... and her mother."
The pressure was on every part of him, squeezing, crunching down... and met the rage. The rage bouyed him up. Gave his soul a demon's wings allowing to rise above unshed tears. Gave him focus, slowly he straightened, his spine a rod of steel. He couldn't fall, couldn't lose to the grief. Not yet. Not... yet. He looked at the two and reaching up tapped the charm possesively.
"This. This is off limits. I am sorry if I scared you. But that is one of my most important rules understand?... Good."
He coughed and tried to make himself seem less threatening after the near eruption. He truely was sorry but... it was the charm...
"Now... Spinx was it? Do you have parents? A guardian we need to contact?"

Bridget nodded in agreement as Sphinx mentioned how delicious it was. "It was really nice. Thank you!" Bridget chirped out, minding his manners just as his parents taught him. Often, he was loud and annoying but he always remembered to be polite... even if he lacked an 'indoors voice'. However, he never really 'grew up' either and retained a childlike personality even though he's almost reached adulthood.
Soon, Bridget noticed Sphinx's hand going for the charm dangling off of Jones' gun. He could tell that it was a bad idea but didn't have time to say before Sphinx was restrained from it by a visibly saddened Jones. "Ohmigosh, that really wasn't a smart idea." he muttered, eyes widened at the very sight of Jones gripping onto Sphinx. However, it didn't look like a particularly rough one but a hard restraint none the less and seemed to look like Sphinx wouldn't be able to get out of it any time soon. He even sounded quite angry when he spoke about how nobody gets to touch the charm on his gun.
Bridget covered his mouth, almost feeling the sadness from Jones as he explained exactly where the charm came from and it's importance. After all, he had a similar item that belonged to his missing twin brother. It was a small cross necklace he always wore under his dress, it seemed to even bring quite a bit of luck to the young bounty hunter at times. Jones was now looking directly at the duo as he mentioned that it's a very important rule. "I understand! I won't touch it. Not ever!" he chirped out in his usual chipper voice, mirroring exactly what he said earlier.
((Ugh, sorry if it sucks))

Little charms were so fun to play with! Juju, the fluffy black cat with odd blue eyes quickly perked his head up at impending danger for his human. Normally she'd avoid something so simple like a wrist grab with ease but...well...she was living in a moment of happiness and bliss not expecting what was about to happen. With the tight grip on her wrist and wide eyes much like a scared animal, she froze up for a moment slightly trembling. Why wasn't her blonde friend helping her?! Instead...he just pretty much commented on it being not such a good idea. That demon feline of hers was NOT happy about that!
Bolting over to the scrawny girl's side, he hissed at the man sinking his claws into the ground below. If he was going to hurt her, there was going to be hell to pay! Trying to tug her wrist away, she wanted to call for help but it was pretty obvious the only thing that would help her there wasn't a human but a demon in the form of a fluffy puddy tat. "Make them both suffer, make them both pay for this betrayal. Look at that, do friends do this? Do they, Sphinx? Do friends just stand there helplessly while the other restrains you?" Shaking her head slightly in disbelief to his voice in her head while her body slightly trembled she couldn't help but see where the demon was coming from about this scenario.
Thing was she didn't want to hurt them...but maybe she should teach them a lesson? Stepping backward and holding her arm close to her chest defensively while staring up at him with wide eyes. What to do what to do....his story was...making her understand more....but...."A way to cover his tracks, Sphinx. Don't you think he should have given the both of you warning if he was going to get so upset...? What makes you think this man won't actually hurt you if you have a little slip up, hm?" Biting at her lower lip and timidly nodding a bit to both Juju and Jones' words...she...couldn't risk that....
"Your so called friend, Bridget, would probably stand there and do nothing again just agreeing with his punishment on you. Remember how history repeats itself, Sphinx.... Isn't it obvious that they don't really care about you like real friends? That nice fellow Venom treats you with care as do I and the circus folk. These two are a horrible excuse of what friends should be...it's sad but true...so don't let them play you as the fool ever again." Sitting there speaking via a secure telepathic link to the girl, he kept his ears back and pretty blue eyes locked on the older man. Quietly saying `Try something like that and you're not getting away with it. My. Human.` in the way he composed himself.
"My parents are gone. They weren't very nice at all...so Juju watches over me. We kinda found each other when I was little..." Letting those words slip past her lips in a pathetic fashion, she gently rubbed her wrist and stared down a bit at it remembering how who she thought was a friend was so quick to jump to action rather than talking it out like a real friend as the other did absolutely nothing. It was an all too familiar scene, really. "I wanna play a game....I'll ask you two riddles and see if you're right." Flashing off a small smile, Juju's voice echoed in her head as he seemed to perk his ears up a bit, "Such a good girl...let's get them to bite the bait."
Mewing out in a sickingly cute tone as though to say `It'll be fun and make us happy if you play!`Giggling softly beneath her breath followed by a soft purr, she shifted her pinkish red cat-like optics between the both of them and part of her believed this would determine whether or not they deserved some punishment. "Juju is right! It will be really fun and cheer us up more! I like playing riddle games! Juju too! Please!" Clasping her hands together, she gently rest her chin on her knuckles and anticipated their response.
