Cbox Name: MeGrimlock
Nicknames: Depends who you ask
Main Account: Liquid Snake (although that may change)
Who else do you play?: Liquid Snake, Cheryl, Gordon Freeman
How did you find us?: Magic
Category: Canon (SEGA)
Name: Olgilvie Maurice Hedgehog (Believed to be legally changed to Maurice Sonic Hedgehog though)
Alias: Sonic The Hedgehog
Age: 28
Ranking: Anti-Hero/Neutral
Physical Appearance:
Sonic is a blue anthromorphic hedgehog who stands barely over four feet tall (if even that much), and whose limbs are a tad stubby for his figure. He usually wears little in the way of clothing, although he is almost never seen without his trademark white gloves and red and blue sneakers.
Speaking of trademarks, Sonic’s quills are always styled in virtually the exact same spiky pattern.
Personality:
Sonic is noted for being cocky, brash, smartassed and an all around asshole. However, getting passed first impressions, Sonic does have some redeeming qualities. He’s brave, noble and willing to step in to safe the day. Sonic is not without his vices though. He tends to be irresponsible, especially when it comes to money and drugs.
Powers/Abilities:
Fastest Thing Alive (Sorta): In his glory days, Sonic was the epitome of speed. He can break the sound barrier in mere seconds. He can even accelerate his molecules, much in same way the Flash can.
Buzzsaw Dash: The Triple Spins, aka the Buzzsaw Dash, is where Sonic can turn into a high-speed, spinning ball of quills; effectively becoming a living buzzsaw. He used to be able to perform this on command, but has difficulties in modern day due to falling out of shape.
Chaos: At one time, Sonic became the embodiment of the mysterious Chaos force. This allowed him to use various powers, including transforming into the seemingly invincible Super Sonic. In his Super Sonic form, Sonic’s powers are increased at least ten fold and he becomes virtually invulnerable. However, this form is difficult to summon, even during when Sonic was in his prime, and can only last a limited amount of time.
Equipment:
Sneakers: Due to the stress and strain placed upon Sonic’s feet from hitting such high speed so quickly, and so regularly, he must wear special shoes that can cope with the punishment, as well as protect his own feet from his speed.
Psychological Flaws:
Bad Attitude: Sonic is arrogant and smartassed. Although he can be the best of friends with someone, his attitude rarely earns him a second chance. Lifewise, this almost always destroys Sonic’s chance of getting hired for a job and, combined with his irresponsibility, ensures he almost always loses his job when and if he finally gets one.
Irresponsible: Sonic blows through money almost the moment he gets it. He never invests in the future, even as an adult. Proof of his financial incompetence is the fact that he used to be a multi-millionaire and is now dirt poor. Sonic is also something of a druggie and party animal, spending his money on booze, drugs and women.
Physical Flaws:
Past His Prime: In his glory days, during his teen years, Sonic was the very image of health. After losing his fame and fortune, Sonic has allowed himself to fall out of shape slightly. He pays the price for this in that he’s not quite as fast or athletic as he used to be. During bouts of speed, he’s prone to exhaustion or cramping up.
Can’t Swim: Not much to say on this one. Sonic can’t swim. In fact, when placed in water, he tends to sink to the bottom like a rock.
Feet: Without his sneakers, Sonic isn’t capable of utilizing his extreme speed due to the punishment it places on his feet.
Other Flaws:

Brief History:
Maurice “Sonic” Hedgehog, or Sonic Maurice Hedgehog, was born Ogilvie Maurice Hedgehog. Even from his earliest years, it seemed as if he was destined for greater things. During his school years, Sonic dominated at every sport he tried out for. As a result, this led to him becoming very cocky and smartassed.
It also led to him being discovered by a talent scout and at age sixteen, Sonic graduated with a GED to pursue a life of fame and fortune.
Ogilvie Hedgehog auditioned to become the then upstart company Sega’s mascot. His natural physical prowess, as well as his charm and wit, quickly won him over and he was accepted for the job. However, his name wouldn’t do at all, so the executives rechristened him Sonic. Ogilvie thought so highly of his new alias that he actually had his name legally changed to it.
From there, Sonic’s career took off. He became a superhero, defending the innocent from the evil Dr. Robotnik aka Eggman, and various others. Various cartoons and video games were based on his adventures, and Sonic became a brandname almost unto himself. As such, Sonic started to become very decadent and very excessive with his parties, alcohol and women.
But they say Hollywood loves you only for a short time, and before the decade was up, Sonic’s career and fame started to decline. He was lucky in that he never ended up in tabloid magazines for his sex and drug problems, or got an STD, but this didn’t spare him from other consequences of his actions.
Although Sonic earned millions of dollars at a time, he’d spend it all on lavish coke parties and purchase a new house and new car almost every single day. It got to the point where he was almost constantly strapped for cash. Sonic tried his hand at the stock market and invested a great deal of money in Sega Dreamcast stock, where he lost all of it.
His lavish lifestyle had caught up with him at last, and Sonic was eventually forced to liquidate all his assets and declare bankruptcy. After that, the women in Sonic’s life all left him and his life became a downward spiral that he has yet to recover from.
With no shortage of superheros to pick up the slack, Sonic found himself without a villain to fight. And even then, saving the world doesn’t pay the rent. Now Sonic will try anything, ANYTHING, just to earn a few quick bucks to get by. Whether it’s to pay the rent, pay off debts to the mafia, help Mario in a new project or just to buy more drugs and prostitutes with, Sonic scours the world in search of employment and a steady paycheck.
