So...sweet and bubbly and socially clueless as Anya usually was, she was still a vengeance demon. And, unfortunately, it followed that she still had the temper of one too. No sooner had the word 'traitor' left Invidia's mouth than Anya had whipped around and made a point of seriously invading the other demon's personal space bubble in a not-so-friendly way, narrowing her eyes furiously as she stood almost nose-to-nose with the brunette. Or...she would have if it wasn't for the fact that Anya was kinda sort, and there was a bit of a height difference...but too bad!
"Traitor?" she retorted, her own voice dripping with uncharacteristically cold contempt. "I'm the traitor? I was only doing my job when the slayer and her pals destroyed my amulet and turned me human. And do you know what D'Hoffryn did when I went in front of him and practically begged him to help me? He told me he didn't need me anymore. He told me to enjoy the rest of my short, mortal life." And then when she'd tried to do exactly that; when she'd become so human that she no longer had it in her to kill without remorse...he'd murdered Hallie out of sheer spite for her. There was no one in the world that Anya hated as much as that low-down, manipulative bastard - and hell if she was going to allow Invidia to tear her down for walking away from him. "And you know what? The moment you screw up, he's going to do exactly the same thing to you, sweetie. So I suggest you stop kidding yourself that your loyalty means anything to him, because I could tell you things about that D'Hoffryn that would make your skin crawl." With one last disgusted glare, the blonde bitterly turned on her heel and stepped away from the demon that she was about five seconds from ripping apart.
Her mood was most definitely soured now, and when Invidia reluctantly asked how exactly they were going to get out of here, Anya merely rolled her eyes. Sure, she hadn't the faintest clue how they were going to either...but she wasn't about to admit that. Nor was she going to admit that Invidia actually had a point about inter-dimensional teleporting usually being impossible, which was probably why her attempt moments ago had failed. But trying to recreate what had brought them here? In theory it sounded reasonable, but Anya knew much better than to go messing around with this sort of thing. "No," she spoke tersely after a moment, her anger still having not yet completely faded away. "It's too dangerous. We could end up in yet another dimension - one that makes this one look like Disney World - or worse yet, something could go wrong and then...boom! Tiny vengeance demon pieces everywhere." No, that wasn't exactly a pretty mental picture, but Anya wasn't going to choose now of all times to be tactful.
But the unspoken question now was, so if that won't work...what do we do? She really wasn't too pleased that there was even a 'we' involved here, but that couldn't really be helped at the moment. They would be a lot stronger together - if they didn't end up throttling each other first. After a loaded pause, Anya sighed lightly. "Teleporting and dimensional travel may not work, but wishing might." Wish granting was a vengeance demon's single most powerful ability - if a person said the right words, they could create entire new dimensions to fit the wish - so why couldn't they transport themselves through dimensions as well? "Someone may be able to...to wish us back. But that's assuming this place isn't as completely deserted as it looks." she added, frowning pointedly at their bleak, misty surroundings.
