With Anderson in the back seat, secured, she wasted no time in closing the hatches and replacing the outside air with the clean, processed variety, doffing her mask. The first couple steps were laborous, but the weight of Deadlock was a part of her by now, intimately familiar, and the pace picked up quickly.
As she flipped down the balltreads and shot down to the road she detected just under the snow, she reflected on the way Anderson had moved. With him in the sealed compartment behind her, with as much a view of their surroundings as she had through the screens on the interior, she felt strangely... comforted, in a not very comfortable way. Anderson was a badass - she knew that much, and the way he hopped into her compartment had impressed her, but as the icarus drives roared to life, driving the Inevitable forward with an expected jolt, she felt a little shiver shoot down her spine. Could this really have been an angel?
They were going a couple hundred miles an hour, but taking the gentle curves, blasting through warning plastic barricades, and plowing through a couple feet of snow like it was nothing posed no problems. They would be in Pripiyat in just under two minutes.
"Anderson, I take it you can fight?"

Ooookay, this was weird and ten flavors of confusing...radiation? What radiation? There was radiation? Obviously, the orange skinned girl was nothing but puzzled. "Perhaps I should have worn a suit...what did Robin call it...HAZMART...? ...no...that was not it...." Mumbling those words to herself while thoughtfully tapping her chin trying to cease her confusion. Nope....not working...the boy wonder's words of wisdom about this confusingly whimsical planet would have been great just about now!
Too bad she didn't have fancy suits or something like her new found friends that told her just about everything there is to know about her surroundings. There wasn't much research she could gather without Robin or Cyborg's help...all there really was is the news and they like to play the censorship game. So her knowledge on all of this was severely lacking...plus she wasn't too good with their computer for the proper amount of research. Oh well, it seemed like they could at least help her with their fancy technological suits! When the chittering sounded off, she quickly looked back to the squishy thing and...for a moment it was cute up until it seemed to be trying to attack. Letting out a squeak of sheer panic, the bubbly red head quickly burst into action in an effort to tackle the man in a colorful suit of armor out of the way while blurting the words, "Watch out!" Yes, that was smooth...really smooth.
Whether or not her effort was a success...that just so happened to be left for being determined!

he says when Starfire hits him, as Terry guesses that Iron Man's suit is a lot stronger than his and can probably take more hits than he can. Looking around, Terry sees the creature and thinks on rather to stop it, or to capture it. As the creature moves, Terry pulls out something and throws it at the creature. the device opens and a net pops out, wrapping around the thing to either stop it or capture it. "No need to attack, we'll let you go it you are not dangerous," he says to it as he looks at the others. "Since we are here, we have no idea who or what caused all of the people to disappear, nor what this thing is or where it is from. So, unless anyone can talk to it or understand it, I would suggest no sudden movements. Since there maybe more nearby that could come and help it," Terry says to the group. "Additionally, all of us are going to need to be decontaminated after this, to make sure this Radiation is not spread to major cities or populated areas," he adds as he looks around the people and the buildings, keeping an eye out for anything.[/ul]

He reached up and idly rolled the cross on the chain about his neck between two fingers as he spoke, and with his other hand patted the hilt of one of the handful of bayonets under his coat. "Well....at least I'd like to think so, anyway." He was being purposefully evasive and misdirective, just in case.[/ul][/blockquote]
