Danny in his own way is a helpful and carrying person who likes to help whenever he can and likes to do his best in keeping some people happy. He doesn't like to show off a lot, however given the chance he would take anything that would get him notice from his peers as 'cool' or become 'popular'. However besides that he is actually a nice person who just wants to do what he can to have fun along with stopping ghosts and the like from causing havoc in his town. Danny is also very protective of his friends, which consists of Valerie, Sam, and Tucker. He is also protect of his family, doing anything even if they hate ghosts which includes him. But like every teenager he does go through mood swings a lot and can become quite testy, showing anger when it's needed or showing when he's annoyed. This can range from picking on him or just trying to get on his nerves which ever works. While going about as Danny Phantom he has shown to be quite the comedian, throwing out witty puns to infuriate his opponent or just to get out a laugh here and there.
Powers/Abilities:
Transformation: Danny is able to transform from human to ghost and vice versa at will. His transformation into ghost form will often be accompanied by his signature phrase, "I'm going ghost!" or "Going ghost!"
Invisibility: Danny is able to turn invisible, when invisible, Danny cannot be seen by human eyes or scanning devices. It is quite common for Danny to make only a part of his body invisible. Danny can make other people and objects invisible with him, provided that he is in physical contact with them.
Intangibility: When intangible, Danny becomes untouchable, allowing him to pass through most objects as if the objects weren't there. He can also make other people and objects intangible when in physical contact with them. It is said to cause a slight tingly sensation. People can see him somewhat when he is intangible unless he turns completely invisible as well. While he can fly through just about anything in the human world, in the Ghost Zone, objects obstruct him just as they do humans in the human world. He can, however, transform back into his human form and pass through the objects there.
Flight: Danny can hover and fly through the air, sometimes at considerable speeds and heights. His top speed, by the episode "Maternal Instinct", is targeted around 112 mph. He often uses this in combat, but sometimes will do it for fun and relaxation. When floating or flying, his bottom half will sometimes turn into a wispy tail. Also, from time to time, Danny will walk and run on uneven and vertical surfaces as though they were horizontal.
Overshadowing: Danny can overshadow a human being, an animal, or an inanimate object from within by phasing completely into the subject's body, allowing him to completely control that person's actions. When overshadowed, the subject keeps his or her original form, but his or her eyes and voice will often alter. Danny can still use his powers of flight, intangibility, and invisibility while overshadowing someone. The subject has no memory of what he or she did while overshadowed.
Ghost Ray: Danny's ghost ray is a green ectoplasmic blast that usually comes out of the palm of his hand. It can take many forms: a ray of energy, a glowing orb, or even a repulsion field. Danny can also confine the energy of a ghost ray within his fist, making for a powerful punch.
Duplication: After seeing Vlad do it, Danny spends the series trying to master Duplication, he only manages to properly use it once though, and even then he can't hold properly, showing he has yet to master this power.
Cryokinesis: Cryokinesis allows Danny to shoot rays of intense cold from his hands or eyes, fire off icy constructs, and radiate cold all around himself. His ghost sense is a more subtle manifestation of this power.
Ghostly Wail: The ghostly wail is the unique ability to generate an extremely powerful wail from one's vocal cords and mouth, like a sonic scream with a ghostly moaning sound to it. The Ghostly Wail can cause great damage to ghosts and tangible matter. It was powerful enough to destroy the massive artificially generated Ghost Shield that protected the future Amity Park, and ghost proof restraints ("The Ultimate Enemy"). It is also effective against multiple targets. One side affect is it drains Danny's powers when he uses it, so he soon returns to human form
Paronamal Strength, Speed, Agility, Dexterity and Durability: The exact amount Danny can lift is never stated, but a educated guess would put it somewhere between 10-30 tons. He is strong enough to rip reinforced titanium without much difficulty, as well as throw the dragon ghost, and knock it to the ground with one punch.
Regeneration: He's able to heal quickly, and even his suit appears to regenerate sometimes.
Ectoplasmic Eneregy Shield: (Ghost Shield): Like his blasts, his shield is green, it ranges from a full dome, to a small square or circle.
Ghost Stinger: In "Public Enemies," he uses to free Wulf from Bullet's weapon and defeat one of his goons. Danny also did a very similar attack on Valerie in "Flirting with Disaster," which could seen as the same ability, only on a weaker level.
Teleportation: Danny has apparently teleported on a few occasions. During the final battle in "Reality Trip," he briefly disappears from sight and reappears in another location a short distance away. He also does something very similiar when fighting Tucker Phantom. This, however could just be him turning invisible and moving, though.
Spectral Manipulation: From time to time, Danny has shown the ability to manipulate the shape of his body. The most common instance of this power is the tail that often replaces his legs when he's flying or hovering. Paranormal Resitance: As a half ghost Danny is resistant/immune to several attacks/effects, for example Embers music could not effect him until she got more powerful, and he was immune to Spectras ghost illness.

There are also a type of material called Ecto-Ranium that is harmful to ghost due to it's anti-ghost properties in which ghost can not touch. Another Weakness would be his ghost energy. He like any other hero has a limit on how much he can use this energy to do his thing, once it depletes he gets exhausted and can not fight anymore in till his energy levels rise high enough.

Danny is your average teenager so really anything can get him off, such as telling him he is a coward or saying he's a baby. Others would be messing with his head about his friends or family.

Brief History:
Danny was born to Jack and Maddie Fenton, two ghost hunters since they were in college together. As ghost hunters they always introduced Danny to various devices and things that dealt with there job and ghosts. He grew up with his sister Jazz in this type of environment their entire life and really couldn't escape it. Along the way Danny met Sam and Tucker who became his best friends through out middle school. This led to him introducing them to his family and there ghost interest, which got them intrigued a lot. Especially Sam who being a goth loved the weird and un-main stream stuff that the rest of her peers loved. This eventually led to her convincing Danny to enter a new invention that Danny's parents built, the Ghost Zone portal. This newly built portal could open a door way into the Ghost Zone were all of the paranormal entities lived and thrived. However it did not work and was just left down in the basement where the Fenton family lived.
After a few moments of convincing from Sam, Danny entered the non active portal with a family jumpsuit and looked around. He than accidentally activated the portal with in making it work, however it spliced his DNA and made him half ghost. This enabled him to wield the powers of a ghost while still being a human. And with this he became Amity Parks silent hero as he fought off ghosts back into the ghost zone from where they belonged. However he soon found out that his father Jack Fenton made another half ghost out of his friend by accident, his name was Vlad Masters. Vlad was of course evil and always tried to take Danny's mother for his own and along the way make Danny his son so they both could rule together as half ghosts. However of course Danny wouldn't accept that he fought Vlad every chance he got foiling his plans time and time again.
This led Vlad to making a clone of Danny, making Dani Phantom out of it, his distant 'cousin' in which helped her escape from Vlad's evil grasp. After all this Danny is still helping his home town from different paranormal entities and other things that threaten his home, family, and friends.
Reason for being on AM: Protecting his home town Amity Park, the Ghost Zone and the world if possible.

Danny's eyes widen as he looked off down the stairs as his father yelled out that it wasn't his fault with his mother saying it's alright they can work on it more. He than looked off to the side noticing his sister waking up quickly walking out the room and sighing. Danny of course just yawned, knowing this was just another day in the Fenton household. Walking to the bathroom he went to take his morning shower before heading to school. He quickly did that before dressing up in his usual clothing before heading down stairs and garbing something to eat.
He looked all over the kitchen seeing that it was filled with ectoplasmic goo, shinning a bright green glow. Danny than felt it was possibly a good idea to skip breakfast and just go off to school. He slowly headed out the door before taking a good look around making sure no one was around. Of course he didn't want people to know he was Danny Phantom, especially his parents who already hated his alter ego. Before anyone came, Danny yelled out "GOING GHOST!" before transforming into Danny Phantom and flying off. His legs turned into a whispy tail as he flew off into the sky looking down on the citizens of Amity Park. He wondered how Tucker and Sam were this morning, seeing as they were up all night as well with him fighting Skullker. They most likely had a better morning than he did, but than again their parents weren't ghost hunters.
