Who else do you play?:
I'll answer this with a riddle!
What do the poor have,
that the rich need,
and if you eat it, you'll die?
That is who else I play on this site.
How did you find us?: A Jax-ass forced me to come here against my will.
Category: Rising Stars - Top Cow Comics
Name: Lee Jackson
Alias: None
Age: Early forties; Born sometime late-1967 and early-1968.
Ranking: Neutral
Physical Appearance:
Lee appears as a rather tall Caucasian male with dark-intermediate skin tone. His athletic body is lean and muscular as a result of having to live on the streets. As a child, his auburn brown hair was normally short and straight, parted from the middle in a boyish look. Even as an adult, his hairstyle has remained short and straight but is instead slicked back with a few strands in front of his head. The strands are also parted from the middle making it a mature version of the hairstyle he wore as a kid. His face has high cheekbones and a strong, defined jaw. He has brown eyes that glows with fire when using his powers. In his powered-up form, Lee Jackson's body is completely engulfed in flames including his eyes and hair. His eyes glow and his hair disappears making him appear bald.
Living on the street limits his wardrobe to whatever he can find, steal, or buy if he manages to get money. His casual attire consists of a long sleeve shirt under a T-shirt and jeans that sometimes have holes in them. His other outfits appears to be varying arrangement of these as well as dress shirts and khakis. When he doesn't want to be noticed, he usually wears a long, brown trench coat over his clothes and a matching beanie. However because of the flames generated from his body, Lee's style of dress is fairly loose as whatever he wears tends to burn when he uses his abilities.
Personality:
As a result of his powers, Lee refuses to be driven by instinct and consciously doesn't give in or express his emotions freely. He tends to be quiet and reserved which makes it difficult to get to know him well. He doesn't worry or get nervous, rather he's stable and stoic. This makes him seem highly self-controlled, even rigid, although he really isn't. He holds back his ideas and opinions, except from those who he's close to, feeling that it’s better to 'keep a lid on it' lest he and everyone else around him regret it. Far from being impulsive, Lee never gets angry without a reason. When he does get angry, better not get in the way or you’re bound to get trampled. It also takes some time before he calms down from this rage.
Lee has a set of values which he strives to consistently live by. These values are based on what he feels is right. As a result, Lee usually feels that he has to justify his actions both to himself and to others as well. He makes his decisions slowly, after carefully considering the consequences of his actions. Because of this, Lee sees himself as a rational individual that makes his decisions based on logic and truth. This is far from the truth, however, as he’s actually searching for an acceptable rationale for what he feels he must do.
Loyal and dedicated to his friends, family, and loved ones, Lee values people who take the time to understand him. Lee is not stingy and his heart is always open to loved ones and close friends. As an action-oriented individual, he’s usually uncomfortable with theorizing, unless he sees a sensible and practical application for it. He’s not one to build a castle out of thin air. He learns best through ‘hands-on’ experience, and consequently may become bored with a lot of abstract thinking. He’s capable of bearing emotional and physical pain, even for years, without grief or complaint. He has a great appreciation for music as it relieves him of the pain he bears, if even for a moment.
Powers/Abilities:
Pyrokinesis-Lee is a pyro which gives him the ability to create and manipulate flames. The force of his powers manifests mentally instead of physically. As a result, the power can be unintentionally used through subconscious impulses such as fear, excitement, nightmares, etc. just as if he had consciously willed it to happen.
Flame manipulation-He typically uses his powers as fiery blasts and explosions to throw people back. Through concentration, he's able to fire it from his hands as a stream-like flamethrower, create fire balls, or shoot a laser-like beam from his eyes. Lee's also capable of generating an aura of heat around himself strong enough to vaporize projectiles before reaching him.
Flame form-Lee has the ability to partially or fully envelop his entire body in flame without harm to himself. The energy used to support this form is small, though by gathering more energy, he can use it to detonate himself in a suicidal explosion. In his fiery state, projectiles are usually melted before reaching his body.
Flight-His fire form is lighter than air which allows him to float. By forming a jet of flames behind him, he can propel himself for flight like a rocket.
Fire invulnerability-Lee is immune to the heat of fire, even from his own body.
Enhanced Strength and durability-As a pyro, Lee could potentially have super strength and greater durability than the average person as another pyro, Jerry Montrose, also had these abilities to hold his own against a superman-like character.
Energy charge-Killing a Special unleashes the remaining energy stored in their body that gives them their power. This energy is then evenly distributed among the living Specials recharging or even significantly boosting their abilities.
Thievery-Out of necessity to survive, Lee has become an extraordinary thief. He's stealthy, capable of blending into the background and sneaking up on people. Knowledgeable in picking locks and pockets and escaping.

Physical Flaws:
Other Flaws: Physical and psychological aren’t enough? Do we need spiritual as well? Ok, the real reason he shows no emotions is because half his soul was sold to the Devil for a sack of potatoes…In other words, move on please. There's nothing here.
Brief History: Sometime around mid-1967, a meteor fell to Earth. It unleashed a Flash upon impact, affecting nearby parents with infants in utero. One hundred and thirteen infants were later born with special abilities. When these abilities were discovered, the children became known as the Specials. Lee Jackson was among them. He and the other Specials were sent to a 'summer camp' where doctors investigated their powers, to find out where they came from, what they could do, their weaknesses, and how to kill them should they ever become a threat. Lee was molested by one of the counselors the first and second time he went there. Upon his third visit to the camp, Lee's power manifested when he ordered the counselor to "burn", engulfing the man in flame and burning him to death.
Afterwards, Lee's parents took him and went on the run knowing that the Government would use him as an excuse to lock up all Specials. With the whole country on the lookout for him, Lee and his family traveled from one town to the next, changing jobs and names every few weeks for two years. Then one night, his parents were killed in a motel fire. It is uncertain what really happened but it was possible that Lee accidentally started the fire in his sleep as a result of a nightmare. Guilt-ridden over the death of his parents, Lee went on the run. He raised himself on the streets, panhandling, stealing, selling blood, doing whatever necessary to survive. He grew up hard and alone, unable to show his face without facing charges of murder. Then, one day he changed. He started helping out an elderly woman named Eleanor Hamilton. In exchange, she gave him room and board.
For a year, they lived together in a sort of mother-son relationship. Lee was beginning to turn his life around. However, it all ended when a gang killed Eleanor for her purse. Angry over her death, Lee went on a rampage through the city. He tore it apart and hunted down the gang, eliminating each and every member that he could find. In the end, he realized that he come full circle from where he began; a monster, just like the counselor who had molested him all those years ago. After avenging Eleanor, Lee summoned all his energy and committed suicide, exploding in a giant fireball.
Reason for being on AM: Upon self-destruction, he ended up here instead of oblivion. Isn't that nice? Wait. He wanted to die. Never mind. ._.
Sample RP:
Lee Jackson paused outside the looming structure before him, watching as a shadow darted between the wooden frames that made up the entrance. The double doors slammed shut behind it as Lee approached. Distant music filtered through the cool night air but did little to soothe the savage fury he was feeling. He could still see the image of Eleanor’s body in his arms, her blood in his hands…He had sworn that they would pay and they did. There was just one man left, the one with the knife that killed her! Flames flickered from his back as he pressed his hand against door. It didn’t budge. Locked. He raised his other arm and unleashed a wave of heat. The resulting explosion blasted the door off its hinges, raining splinters of burning wood on the inhabitants within. Screams filled the lobby. Ignoring the people that scrabbled away from him, Lee approached the stairs, his attention focused on only one individual.
The man rushed up the stairs, his fear almost palpable as he tried to put more and more distance between them. If Lee could, he would have laughed at the sight of him tearing up the stairs as fast as he could run. As it was, he could only appreciate the fact that he would finally be able to avenge Eleanor. They continued this game of cat and mouse on every floor, until the man reached the final flight of stairs. Changing his plan, the man made his way to through the different rooms on the floor with Lee following close behind. They went from one room to the next before reaching a dead end. It was an old, dilapidated room, devoid of furniture and inhabitants. The walls were cracked revealing the wooden skeleton that composed it. Lee’s power flared and burned the ground, cutting off the man’s escape as he approached. Finally he had him cornered.
"Look...I didn't mean it."
He stopped, the flames dying down behind him. Did the man mean to say that it was an accident? Against his will, his mind drifted back to the moment when the counselor had taken him aside to one of the cabins. He had been molested twice before by that man and he wanted it to stop. He didn't want to be hurt anymore. It was at that time, the third and final time he saw the counselor that his powers manifested. That was the accident that started his life on this path, call it self-defense. But this was different, the man before him wasn't like him. He killed Eleanor, a helpless old woman, to take her purse. There was no self-defense involved. If he thought that was a mistake, well, he was right. It was a mistake, a big mistake that he was not going to live to regret.
"It's not my fault, she fought, if she'd've just gave me what I wanted, she'd..."
His eyes blazed with anger as he glared at the man.
"It's not my fault!"
He had made up his mind. There was nothing else to say. There was no redemption for him, no second chances. Focusing his gaze on the murderer, he breathed a single word that would sentence him to death. "Burn."

Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws:
- Childhood trauma-Due to his experiences as a child, Lee is still haunted by his past. He's been a victim of child molestation as well as a murderer of the man who molested him. It is uncertain but Lee could also potentially be his parents' murderer. Occasionally he can be overcome with guilt and fear when these events are recalled or referenced.
- Violent Temper-It has been seen that once Lee’s temper has been unleashed, there’s very little that can stop him. He loses all reason and focuses solely on the target of his anger without regard to the consequences of his actions. Throwing all caution to the wind, Lee’s rampage can potentially leave people and places injured or destroyed.
- Isolation-Being on the run from the law has caused him to become isolated, unable to connect with people or show his face. Also as a result of the dangerous nature of his powers, Lee tries to keep from getting close to people or asking for help. After the death of his parents, he doesn’t want to risk anyone else’s life by being around him. Although he won’t admit it and probably will deny it, he’s desperate for human contact.
- Monster-He has a fear of being corrupted and evil like the counselor that molested him all those years ago. His feelings about this are so strong that it was the realization that he had become a monster that drove him to commit suicide in the first place.
Physical Flaws:
- Electromagnetic pulse-Apparently a strong electromagnetic pulse is able to temporarily disrupt the energy which gives the Specials their powers. Getting hit with it causes the Special to lose their powers for approximately 20 minutes before they recover.
- Energy usage-Every time Lee uses his powers, a small portion of the energy which gave him his powers are used. Over a long period of time and through constant use of his powers, he will get weaker until he eventually loses it.
- Extinguishers-Fire cannot burn without oxygen, so it's easily extinguished in places without it. His flames can also be smothered by substances, such as water, sand, etc. However, the effectiveness of this depends on the flame's intensity as it can also be vaporized before it reaches him.
Other Flaws: Physical and psychological aren’t enough? Do we need spiritual as well? Ok, the real reason he shows no emotions is because half his soul was sold to the Devil for a sack of potatoes…In other words, move on please. There's nothing here.
