Part 1: The Basics

What is your full name? Mithos Yggdrasill

Where and when were you born? The elf village of Heimdall, four thousand years ago.

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) ...Their names and what they did are unimportant. One was a human, the other an elf, and neither stopped me and my sister from being exiled.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? I had one - Martel. Really, she was the one who raised me, took care of me and healed me when I was sick. She cared for everyone and everything, and despite the entire world's hatred, she was always kind and strong. Everything she did was to help others - if everyone had known her, they would never have been able to hate her. She was the most wonderful person in the world. It... the world didn't deserve her compassion. She was so much better than them.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. I live on my own. I don't really stay in one place, though that's also because I can... live anywhere.

That's a difficult question to answer. I was a hero, once. And then a ruler.

I'm not really sure what I am, now.

I'm a half-elf, so I have pointed ears, and I have blond hair and blue eyes. My usual clothes are a tunic and pants, and I don't have anything particularly distinctive otherwise.

To which social class do you belong? I was lower class, once. Now... I guess money isn't an issue because I never need to buy anything.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Does a weakness to dark magic count? And my Cruxis Crystal is a vulnerability.

Are you right- or left-handed? Right-handed, but I have some skill with my left hand.

What does your voice sound like? It's... rather sarcastic. I guess I'm rather cynical, now. I sound like I'm still twelve, of course.

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? ...

I've been told I tell people to get away from me or to be silent quite often. And I likely use threats more than most people might consider necessary.

What do you have in your pockets? I don't carry anything around with me, now.

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I'm prone to try to keep some things about me hidden, so I... stay silent when I'm thinking about something. I guess I'm also rather violent when angry.

Part 2: Growing Up

How would you describe your childhood in general? Difficult. The entire world hated my kind, elves and humans alike, and Martel was the only one to care for me. We had to look out for each other. I didn't have time to play or make friends - not that anyone would have come near me. I spent most of my time finding food, talking with Martel, learning magic or picking herbs for medicine when one of us was sick. And then...

You could say I grew up very early.

What is your earliest memory? ...

Hearing Martel sing me to sleep.

How much schooling have you had? None, officially. I was tutored in spells, mana theory and swordsmanship during my childhood, but that was so I would survive. Other things I... picked up afterwards.

Did you enjoy school? I love to learn new things, especially anything that's useful for my goals - and anything I can turn towards helping me stay alive.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? From Martel, Yuan and Kratos. Admittedly, Yuan never taught me more than a few lightning spells.

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. Martel, of course. And... and Kratos. He knew so much about the world, he was so calm and implacable - it seemed like disasters couldn't touch him, and he could protect himself and everyone he cared about. I wanted to be like him.

Then I surpassed him, of course. We were both happy about that, for...

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Martel was the only family member I knew well, and we were inseparable. I owe my life, my happiness, my sanity - all to her.

I... I haven't treated her memory well. The things I did in her name...

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A hero, a knight - someone who could fight the injustices of the world, and was strong enough to change everything.

I got my wish.

As a child, what were your favorite activities? Training in both magic and the use of a sword, because I was good at both. I also loved to play the pan pipes. Martel would sing along. It was... nice to do that, after a long day of travel.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? I was... hopeful. An idealist. I believed the best of everything, and when I saw the flaws of the world, I wanted to change them. I thought people were better than they actually are.

I thought you could have victory without sacrifices. I was blind.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? I was a half-elf, so... no, my only friends were the three people I travelled with. I was good at speaking, though, and inspiring, but that wasn't... quite the same.

When and with whom was your first kiss? ...

I haven't had one. I had more important things to consider.

Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? Yes, I am.

I always knew what I could do. The only thing was to learn how to cast the right spells, and access the mana flow properly.

But that's half of what I am. I became an angel shortly before Martel... died. It involved freezing my body's growth and... well, all bodily processes, and fusing my soul with a parasitic crystal formed through the sacrifice of a human's life. I gained incredible strength and endurance, the ability to cut off sensations, keener senses, extensive light magic, nigh immortality and wings. It took a while to use all my powers effectively, though.



Part 3: Past Influences

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Martel's death. It... shaped what I became, in the end. And what I am now. I... I need to fulfil her legacy, not what I thought she wanted but her real wish.

Who has had the most influence on you? ...

Do I need to make this more obvious than it already is?

What do you consider your greatest achievement? I... I saved the world, in the end, by cutting it in two. The moment when I held the Eternal Sword for the first time, and thought I could save everyone...

What is your greatest regret? I couldn't save her. I couldn't save everyone and her.

So I chose her, each and every time.

Even when... even when she wanted me to let go of her, and move on. I... I chained myself, and I caused so much pain, and... that must have hurt her so much.

Martel, I'm... I'm so sorry.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?...




I abandoned both worlds. I left them to die, for her.

And she didn't want it.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Considering what I've done... I probably should.

To put it simply, I killed tens of thousands of people for my cause. I instigated genocide of humans... I manipulated the history, religion and government of two worlds for my ends.

When was the time you were the most frightened? When I had done everything right - what I thought was right. I brought Martel back. She was alive, and with me, and...

And...

She was ashamed. I disappointed her. I had done everything wrong, and she told me and - and I couldn't believe it. It... her disapproval took away my entire world.

I couldn't... I couldn't accept it. I was too afraid. Too desperate.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? ...When I first came here, I didn't understand how the technology functioned, and I was pretending to... not be an angel.

I may or may not have destroyed all the electronics in a store when I channelled lightning mana through one of the devices. There were a lot of explosions.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? She wouldn't have died.

What is your best memory? When... before we went to the tree to try to save it with the Eternal Sword. When we were all alive, and together, and we believed that we could do anything, and there would be no death, no suffering. The year when we travelled together as I made pacts with the Summon Spirits... it was the best year of my life.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I was optimistic, once. I'm... far more cynical now, but I'm still prone to flashes of hoping for the best, before someone decides to come along and rip that to shreds.

...I guess that answer was actually pessimistic.

What is your greatest fear? That I'll fail again, and that I won't be able to protect the few people left who are precious to me.

What are your religious views? I... made a religion based on Martel.

She eventually became the guardian of the tree in name, and the organization was focused on charity works, so in my defence, it was a rather well laid out religion.

What are your political views? ...

I wasn't terrible at governing. Oswin once told me my views were quite liberal - I'm not really sure if that's correct.

What are your views on sex? ...It doesn't interest me. What other people do is fine. I don't care as long as they don't try to involve me in it.

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? Of course I can. Killing is often necessary when people are in my way.

I don't kill the helpless. Or... I used to have that standard.

In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Single out those who are different and hat them blindly for it, regardless of who they are.

I don't know.

It seems strange to believe in someone else making you complete. To put so much dependence on a romantic relationship...

I guess I shouldn't be criticizing any sort of dependence, though, considering what I've done for Martel, and for Kazuma.

What do you believe makes a successful life? Having the people you love and being able to protect them. Anything else is... secondary.

Once, I would have thought doing what you could to change the world would have been the answer, but... I've learned since then.

How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? Not... not very. When I first got here, I... fooled everyone so I could use them for my own gains, and to hide who I was and what I had done.

I still... hide a lot, or lie, or evade answering things if I think it might make my friends think less of me. Sometimes, it's necessary. Sometimes, it's because I'm still ashamed of... many things. Or ashamed that I don't regret them. I also... act proud, when I can, even though I hardly deserve to be proud of what I've done. It helps, a little, to act like I'm handling everything.

Pride doesn't last long here, though.

Do you have any biases or prejudices? I hate humans. I... I used to hate them completely, but since meeting Lloyd, and coming here... I can't say that.

So instead I'm a hypocrite.

Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?...

Hurt my friends. They're all I have left, now. If anything happened to them... I have no illusions of how long I would last.

Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? Martel. Oswin, Regina... Kazuma.

Such a small number.

Once, I would have done almost anything for so many more people. Once, I would have cared.




Part 5: Relationships With Others

In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I... I'm rather dismissive and cool around strangers, or I act like I'm a child so they underestimate me. If I know them well, and I like them... I'll be more honest. I'll talk about myself more, my past, how I feel....

I don't have many people I willingly show my emotions, my fears, my weaknesses.

Of course, showing them unwillingly seems to happen quite often.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Martel. She... she guided everything I did. All of the things I've done, the crimes, the people I've hurt - I did it in a mistaken belief that it was what she wanted.

Now... most likely Kazuma. He... he believes that I'm good, so strongly that around him, I believe it too. I - I have to save him. I will save him. Hazama can't win this time.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Once, it might have been Kratos, because he was my teacher, and my friend. Now... Regina. She understands what I've been through, and what it feels like to hate, and do things for a cause that you thought was right. She's strong, as well, and... she's been through a lot.

She doesn't judge me for what I've done.

Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. I... Genis was my best friend, before I died. We... we had similar lives. He understood me. I even thought that he might have sided with me, but... but he didn't.

Oswin, Regina and Kazuma are my friends now - I would do anything for them. Oswin has so much willpower, the resolve I once had, and so much passion for helping others and making a difference. Regina... we're alike, in so many ways.

Kazuma... he's an amazing person, and he... the irony is that he was made to be a vessel, just like the countless Chosen I created for that same purpose. But he... he doesn't deserve that fate. He sincerely thinks I'm a good person. I have to prove him right.

Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. No.

Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. No.

What do you look for in a potential lover? ...I don't look for anything. It was never important.

How close are you to your family? Martel was everything to me. My parents... I barely remember their faces.

They never mattered.

Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? No. I... It'd be impossible for me, and I don't want to raise anyone else.

Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Regina, because she understands the need for secrecy, and doing what's necessary. Loki, because he's... proved himself trustworthy, and if I really am desperate, his methods would likely be very effective.

Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? I try to protect myself, but... Regina. I... I don't want to burden Kazuma, though he's come to my defence before, and Oswin... I know the Doctor disapproves of me. But Regina has fought beside me, and... I trust her.

If you died or went missing, who would miss you? ...The few friends I have. I already listed them.

Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Hazama. Even knowing that it strengthens him, I can't stop hating him. He knows everything about me, and he uses it against me, and we used some of the same methods. My best friend is his vessel, and destined to be taken over by him, and he - he needs to die. If I... if I could kill him and save Kazuma, and I had to die to do it...

I probably would.

Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I... argue occasionally.

When people insult my goals, I tend to finish arguments very quickly.

And painfully.

Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? I... I used to, once. I... I've separated myself from this place, most of the time, so it doesn't really happen anymore.

That and I'm no longer a hero by any means.

Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? No. It's... not overwhelming, and I can manage it, but having many people around also means a higher probability of someone in that group then bothering me.

Or somehow drawing Hazama and Pitch in to taunt me.


Do you care what others think of you? I care about what my friends think of me. I don't want to disappoint them, or frighten them.

What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? Training, playing the pan pipes. Flying can be enjoyable, if I do it in a secluded place where I'm not a very bright and glowing target.

What is your most treasured possession? ...My bracelets are a memento from Martel. My pan pipes, which I've also had since I was young.

...The silver chain and egg Kazuma gave me.

What is your favorite color? Blue, white, green.

What is your favorite food? I... really can eat anything. It doesn't matter.

What, if anything, do you like to read Historical records, treatises of spells, theory, anything to help me improve myself.

...I like heroic stories as well, but... reading them is a little difficult now.

What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? Pleasant music, stories around a fire with friends... I don't generally have elite standards for such things.

Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? I occasionally drink when Killian decides to bring alcohol but it doesn't actually have any effect on me.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night? I... typically spend most of my days without regards to what day of the week they are. I gather information, or practice, or try out new magic, or talk to my friends.

What makes you laugh? ...Kazuma's very good at making me laugh. He has a strange sense of humour.

What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Discrimination against people who aren't human, or can use magic, or are hardly different from them. Really... discrimination in general.

What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? ...

I don't actually sleep. I usually spend my time reading or doing much of the same of what I do in the day.

How do you deal with stress? I... deal with it rather violently. Blasting holes helps a lot with anger.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? I like to have a solid plan when I can, but... I generally have a good intuition for salvaging the situation, when I'm desperate.

What are your pet peeves? I can't stand bigotry, I don't like people trying to look after me when they know what I'm capable of, and... I suppose I can't stand being talked down to. People prying is also something very annoying, even if I'm good at lying to make up for it.

Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? ...

I feel this question is for someone who needs to bother with breathing, eating and sleeping. I don't really have a set routine - I do what I feel is necessary at the moment.

Sometimes, what is necessary just so happens to be trying to fight Hazama with some small measure of success and being stabbed for my pains.

What is your greatest strength as a person? My resolve. I... I could accomplish anything, if I tried. The impossible was never much of a problem, for me.

What is your greatest weakness? I... I focus, and I cling to one person, or one goal, and if it's challenged, or taken away from me...

I don't deal with it well. I refuse to acknowledge my mistakes. I keep moving forward, even when I shouldn't.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? How blind I can be to... what I'm doing. To what I've done.

Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Introverted, I guess. I don't mind company but I don't trust people easily.

Are you generally organized or messy? Somewhat organized, I suppose.

I'd spend as much time with them as I could. I assume I would be dying in battle, so... it would be nice to have some peace, with them.

If I could somehow accomplish what I wanted right before I died, I would do that as well.

Saving the world with the Eternal Sword, in the beginning. Before... before I began to ruin everything else.

You hope for the best and you don't stop trying, so... don't give up on yourself, on the idea that you can be a good person. You can fulfil Martel's legacy, and make her proud, and make the world a better place - just... just don't give up on that.

I've never know my parents, as I was torn away from them at a young age to be augmented. Afterwards, I had no interest in finding them. In fact, they likely fell under my rule without me even realizing.

My only "family" are my fellow augments, those who followed me even when my reign collapsed. They are a noble people, my true family - and I would do anything for them.

I live with no one, in a large, abandoned home. I will use it until I can find better lodgings.

At the moment, none. I have no time to bother myself with petty occupations.

No. The augmentations ensured that I was rid of any physical limitations beyond mortality.

Artemus and Eliana Oswald. Weird names are a bit of a thing in our family, they went by Artie and Ellie, usually. Anyway! Dad worked with computers. 'S how I picked it up, he used to let me play around with whatever he had left over. Tended to be a bit distant with me and Mum sometimes, but nothing too bad. Really, it was mostly 'cause of his work. He was there when it mattered and that's all that counts.

Guess I was closest to Mum, though. Really, she's the reason I stayed sane that whole year I spent shipwrecked, even if I never could get her souffle recipe right. She was....well. Brilliant, really. Helped me through most of the stuff that comes with growing up. Dad was the one who bought home the money we needed, but she had a side-job too, once I got old enough to take care of myself. Took up repairing little bits and bobs people would bring into her. Three guesses as to where I picked that up.

Definitely could've done worse when it comes to parents. And...well. Goes without saying that it was...amazing. To see them again after a year. They're not all that fond of the Doctor and his lot (probably because they wanted to take me away once our visit was over), but so long as I keep in touch, they're okay with letting me go off with them.

Nah, just me. I've got people that're as good as siblings now, but. Well. They go under 'friends', yeah?

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Well. At the moment, I'm living on the TARDIS and I haven't really got any plans to change that. Describing the TARDIS...um. Big blue police box that's got a sentient spaceship inside? A sentient spaceship and a whole load of people.

Let's see, at the moment, there's...me, the Doctor, his Eighth self, Rose, Donna, Amy, Makya and Colress. So. Two Time Lords, three companions, a giant landshark dragon and a Pokemon scientist. And you can bet that'd make a brilliant TV show.

Guess it'd have to be 'companion' now, yeah? Or 'time-traveling, world-saving, total screaming computer genius', whichever you like best. I'm fond of the latter, personally.

Oh. Well, okay. Pretty sure I was about 5'2" last time I checked. The Doctor calls me tiny sometimes, but really, that's just because he's the tallest person we've got on the TARDIS. Bit freakish really, but we're not talking about him. Brown hair, brown eyes. Probably would've been plain on anyone but me, but. Well. There's definitely nothing plain here.

What I'm wearing depends on what we're doing. All things considered, though, m'pretty attached to my dress from the asylum (which really shouldn't even be real, but hey. Better than showing up in this place naked) and this jacket I managed to grab out of the wardrobe. Clara's got one just like it, but so long as we both don't wear it at the same time, we ought to be alright. And apart from that, I've got my vortex manipulator, my communicator and my TARDIS key on me at all times. They all tend to come in handy.

And, as for...scars, my whole back's covered with them. Burns scars from injuries my...other body had taken in the asylum. Nice little reminder that I'm not supposed to be alive.

Um. I haven't really got one now, I think. The Doctor's psychic paper likes to put us high up in the ranks whenever we go somewhere, though.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Not so far as I know. Just a general inability to fight anything that comes my way, but Asteria takes care of that well enough.

Right-handed.

Um. I dunno...fast? British-accented? How d'you describe someone's voice?

Dunno. Never really thought it about.

The Doctor doesn't like me carrying stuff from the future when it can get stolen in the past, but honestly, have you tried operating a pay phone? 'S like torture. So, yeah. I've got that, a bit of money, credit card...and a bunch of lint, I guess.

Couple of them, yeah. I've got this there where my hands like to be busy. Comes from typing or usually having something to work with. Drives Rose up the wall when I start tapping at some flat surface if they've got nothing to do.

Could've been worse. Like I said, Dad was sort of distant a lot, but Mum more than made up for it. And I had a couple of friends too. Not so many as I do now, but enough.

A birthday party, I think. My...fifth one? Bit of weird early memory to have, but it's what I've got.

How much schooling have you had?
Enough. Didn't really need all that much to get on the Alaska, and once we were back, I was going to go off to uni. Three guesses as to how well that worked out.

Not really. All the stuff they taught us, I already knew, so it was mostly just me sitting there, bored. Never really did see the point in it.

Well, the important ones I learned from Mum and Dad. And from traveling around, too. You don't really go traveling through time and space without picking a few things up.

My mum, but I've already said enough about her.

Well enough. Never really had any problems with anyone, 'cept the ones I started annoying when I was a kid. And they just sort of tuned me out, I think.

Some kind of adventurer. Guess I knew all my life that I wanted to travel.

Playing with the stuff Dad gave me was what usually kept me occupied and still for long periods of time. I just sort of ran wild when I didn't have anything to do.

Oh, blimey, I was a hyperactive kid. Sort of bossy and a bit of a know-it-all, without a lot of regard for rules and stuff. So, basically, nothing's changed.

Not really. Didn't really care about it much when I was young, didn't have the ability to get there for a lot of my teenage years. Once I got over the whole awkward stage, I started getting on a bit better, but that was only a couple of years before the Alaska.

Bloke named Will. He was my first boyfriend back when I hadn't discovered that confidence was a thing, so it was really sort of...messy. And awkward.

'Fraid not. You don't go through life looking like me and stay a virgin, dear. And, if you're talking about proper virginity, then I lost that to a bloke named Marcus. Second boyfriend, third significant other. But, if we're talking about the first time I had sex, then that was Nina.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
That'd...have to be the Alaska crash, yeah? Important's not always good.

The Doctor. Well, my Doctor, that is. The other ones've done stuff for me too, but he's the one I went off with. Wouldn't have it any other way, really.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
...Saving him. Giving all I had left so that he could save so many others.

Killed someone. Completely by accident, but still it wasn't...the right thing to do. At all.

M'pretty sure I've got one that spans across time and space by now. Can't really begin to feel bothered about it.

The first day after I crashed was...bad. Really bad. Spent it huddled up in the corner with the ship's PA system, trying to see if anyone else'd survived. 'Course, it was all in my head so...I didn't really have much luck.

Well, see, this one time, in Rome...

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
...he would've saved me. Properly saved me. Found me human and waiting for him and taken me off away from that place. Maybe we might not've gotten through to this world, but...I dunno. Would've been better than him finding me the way he did.

What is your best memory?
Back when the Doctor first took me aboard, right after he'd picked me up, we didn't really just...go off. Dunno why, but after I told him I'd been locked up, he took us up to drift right above Earth. 'Course, I asked why we handed landed anywhere, but he just told me to open the door. And, when I did it was...amazing. Really. All those stars just sitting there waiting for us. Stuff'd been sort of awkward between us, new companion and all, but I think...while we were standing there, looking out that just sort of went away.

...He was hurting just as badly as I was, I found out later on. Just came off losing Donna. So I guess that was us just...healing. A little bit.

What is your worst memory?
When the door of my cell first opened...the look on his face. All of that...hate and disgust and rage all focused on me, it was...

Optimistic, mostly. Doesn't really pay to be pessimistic in my line of work.

Haven't really got any. 41st century hasn't got a lot of need for that sort of thing, but. Well. M'guessing there's at least some sort of afterlife out there.

Couldn't care less.

No. Not again. Never.

Doing what makes you happy? Can't really imagine not doing what I've been doing for ages now, and I've definitely been happy doing it. Might vary from person to person, but that's my say on it.

Guess it sort of depends on who I'm talked to. Random people haven't got to be burdened with whatever's bothering me, and...neither do my friends, but they seem to want to sometimes.

That sort of thing gets stamped out of you pre-tty quickly when you're traveling to alien planets.

Killing. I won't kill, I can't kill. Not after what happened last time, if I disappoint the Doctor again, I'll be gone out of the TARDIS for good. And I'll have deserved it this time. Even if he doesn't want to kick me out, I'd...leave.

He shouldn't have someone like that on the TARDIS anyway, not while he's got Rose and Amy and Donna there already.

Luckily, I haven't got any plans to kill anyone so. Hopefully that won't be a problem.

The Doctor, everyone on the TARDIS, Mithos, Regina...all of my friends, really.




Part 5: Relationships With Others

In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
Well enough. 'Specially if we're hanging 'round that room and whoever's there's a new arrival. 'S why we stay there so much, to handle the people that've come through and make sure they'll be okay. So. As long as they don't start threatening people, they're fine by me.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Blimey, you haven't figured it out by now? Really, 's sort of...pathetic, how close I am to the Doctor. Calls me his own personal puppy sometimes, but honestly it's not that bad. Usually. I dunno, 's just...I'd have nothing here, if he hadn't come along. Back when I first got here, I was...scared. Really scared. Hate to admit it but, well. Coming back to life's enough to give anyone a bit of a fright. And, it took a bit, but he was...there. Took me off and away from the stuff that was bothering me.

...And he accepted me. After I told him what'd happened to me. I never expected him to do that, especially after everything the Daleks did to him. He's more than a best friend, he's...dunno if there's really a name for it.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Up there, dear. Just reread that last question.

Oh, this'll take while. Can I just go with the one's I'm closest to?

Regina's probably first on the list. Still a bit of a wonder how we became friends at all, we're...different. Really different. But she's been there for nearly everything I've ever been through, she...she saved my life more times than I can count. And I've been there for her. Still will be, no matter what.

And...even though the Doctor doesn't trust him a bit, Mithos is on there too. 'S a bit weird, really, we sort of hated each other when we first started talking, then we were just polite 'cause of Regina and that...somehow turned into being friends. I've still got no idea what I'd do if I had to choose between him and the Doctor, but I can't just abandon either of them. Luckily, there hasn't been much of a need to. Yet.

Um. Rose, Amy and Donna're all brilliant, even if Amy thinks I'm friends with a serial killer. They accepted me too, even after knowing what'd happened to me. And Makya. You really wouldn't believe how great it is, having a dragon for a friend. Especially one that's pretty determined to keep me from doing stupid stuff. Even I need that sometimes.

...But, only sometimes.

Not at the moment. Most of the boyfriends and girlfriends I've had've been flings. 'Cept Nina. She was different.

...She probably still thinks I'm dead, unless Mum and Dad told her.

Love's...sort of a heavy term. Couldn't really tell you if I've ever actually loved someone like that. Romantically.

Probably someone that wouldn't want to tie me down, preferably one that'd want to come traveling with us. Someone who's not boring and can keep up with me and my lot. Making me laugh and feel better sometimes'd be a bonus too.

How close are you to your family?
Close enough. I call Mum and Dad every once in awhile to keep them updated on how I am, and the Doctor took me there at Christmas so I could stay for a few days. Probably'll end up doing the same thing again next year and at a few other holidays.

Mm, still a bit too young for that. And too busy saving the world on a daily basis.

...There's a lot to choose from, actually. I'd say Ayurale, but he's...gone. 'S a bit of a tie between Hazama and Cora at the moment. Both of them've gone after me and my friends, and they just...they know what to do to get us where it hurts. And I can't do anything when they show up but let Regina and Mithos handle it. 'S part of why I hate them so much. When I'm off with the Doctor, I can do things. Useful things. Not just stand on the sidelines and watch my friends get hurt.

I've got to avoid conflict 'round that room. Most of the things there can probably kill me without even thinking about it.

Nah, that's usually the Doctor's thing. But if he's not around, I haven't got much of a problem filling in.

I'll have a drink or two if I want, but not normally. The rest of that stuff's a bit detrimental to my line of work.

Ignore it, usually. 'Til I really can't anymore, then I go to my friends. If they can't take it away, they can at least make me feel a bit better about it.

M'pretty sure being spontaneous is somewhere in my job description. If you can't already think on your feet when you join up with us, you learn how to pretty quickly.

..Even if they usually end up helping, I don't really like people bothering me when I'm upset. They haven't got to deal with my problems on top of theirs.

Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
There's really no such thing as a normal day with our lot. But. Well, let's see. Get up, eat something, go off to some other planet, probably save the world or blow something up or both, occasionally destroy a famous landmark, mess with whatever aliens're trying to kill us, head back to the TARDIS and...probably either go off to that room or head off to sleep.

What is your greatest strength as a person?
Intelligence definitely comes in handy when you're traveling through time and space. Well, that and generally being able to get through a lot of tough stuff. The Doctor's said my willpower alone's a force to be reckoned with, and really, there's a hell of a lot of evidence behind that.

What is your greatest weakness?
Well. Running right into danger's usually not regarded as a strength. 'Specially if that danger's more than likely going to kill me.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
...I'd probably give myself some way of fighting against the stuff that wants to kill me. Y'know, apart from summoning a giant phoenix. Just something to fall back on, when I can't get Asteria to appear.

Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Extroverted, for the most part. Being around people's always nice after being shut away for a year.

Oh, messy. Definitely. 'S organized chaos, though, I know where everything's at. Makes it harder for anyone looking for something to find things if they've got no idea where it is, and I do.

Um. Let's see. Computer stuff, tech stuff and most baking I'm good at and...hm. M'still not all that great with sword-fighting. Still can't make a souffle to save my life, and. Apparently, I'm not a very good liar.

Already accomplished it, haven't I? Going off and seeing the universe. Guess you could say I want to see as much of it as I can before I die. Again. Naturally, this time. I hope.

Oswin...you're such a strong person. You can be that strong person without having the Doctor with you. He really needs to not be everything to you, and you need to realize that you're just as good, in his mind, as Amy or Rose or Donna. Better, even because you were the one who helped him heal from the latter two. Yeah, you got over the whole killing thing, which is great, but you need to not be so worried about doing it again. Just...try not to stress over something like that. You're brilliant and he thinks so too and nothing will change that.

To save and protect everyone. Even if I hated how it all turned out, that was the defining event that made me who I am today. It killed my foolish innocence.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Helping to save the world. ...But I was betrayed shortly after. Maybe it wasn't an achievement at all. Yeah, fuck that. My greatest achievement was saving Shio from Nova.

[Sarafine Duchannes]

Part 1: The Basics

What is your full name?
Sarafine Rosalie Duchannes. I used to go by Izabel, as a child. It's a bit of a family tradition, not to receive our real names until we're Claimed. Symbolic, you know.

Where and when were you born?
I was born a little ways outside Charleston, South Carolina, but my mother soon moved my sister and I into Ravenwood Manor, in Gatlin, and raised us there. We moved again when I was fourteen - though regrettably, not far. Only to a smaller manor the other side of town.

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
My mother's name is Emmaline Duchannes. She's a Light Caster, an Empath - and in the Caster world, the meaning of 'Empath' is a little different than what you might think. She can channel the supernatural powers of others, even remove them for a short time, if she wishes it. She's a fairly frightening woman, my mother. People say they're afraid of me - they should see her when she's angry. Emmaline's fairly no-nonsense; Del and I couldn't get away with much, growing up. And, although I suppose she believes she wants the best for her family...for a Light Caster, she can distance herself from her emotions at an alarming rate.

When there's a difficult decision to be made, she doesn't let her heart get in the way.

Whatever I may think of her, though, she's a good grandmother to Lena and Ridley - and a lot of the credit for raising them goes to her. I suppose I owe her that much.

My father's name is Silas Ravenwood, and he is an Incubus. A demon. He was married to my mother for a short time, but he left shortly after I was born - when my mother discovered what he was, and what he'd been doing. Del probably remembers more of him than I do. I never saw much of him, growing up, until after I was Claimed. He was heavily involved with Abraham and Hunting and the other Incubi, so I caught him lurking around their home at times - but he never paid me much attention, or became much more of a father to me than he'd ever been. Well. At least he wasn't setting my expectations high.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
My only full-blooded sibling is my older sister, Delphine. She's a Light Caster, and a Palimpsest - she reads time, past, present, and future. It's not an easy ability to manage; not when it's constant, and needless to say she sometimes gets a bit confused. But of everyone in my family, I remember Del most fondly, I suppose. We were very close, growing up - she was one of my dearest friends, as well as my older sister - and when I was Claimed, she was the only one who spoke out against me being disowned. I haven't forgotten that. And though I haven't spoken to her in some time, I do hope she's doing well.

Hunting, Macon, and Leah Ravenwood are my Incubi (and Succubus, respectively) half-siblings, on my father's side. Macon was the only one I ever saw much of, growing up. I can't honestly say that we always got along, but when I really needed him - well, I admit he was there for me. Of course, that all changed after my sixteenth birthday, but that hardly makes him any different than the rest of my family. These days, I swear he gets on my last nerve sometimes - and he knows it, too - but like Emmaline, he played a large part in raising Lena, and I won't pretend he did a bad job. But I won't pretend I'm ready to forgive him, either.

Hunting was under Abraham's influence from the start, and Leah only visited us occasionally - so I can't say I'm close to either of them.


Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
I'm - well, I'm not living with the Incubi anymore, that's for certain. I couldn't, even if I wanted to. I don't like to think what would happen if they realized I'd gone Light. For now, I've been traveling - staying in various hotels. I don't think it's safe to stay in one place for too long, and it wouldn't be convenient for me to, anyway.

What is your occupation?
Mm. There was never any need or time for that sort of thing, once Abraham took me in. Both the Duchannes and Ravenwood families have rather impressive fortunes, so it's never really been an issue (apart from the brief period I was living on my own with John) - though Abraham did force me to work at that disgusting excuse for a Mortal restaurant when we first returned to Gatlin.

...I did want to be a writer, growing up. I remember that now. Perhaps I'll pursue that again, although I'm not sure how much time demon-hunting allows for it. That, and I daresay I'm a bit rusty.

Sort of a silly thing to ask, isn't it? Really, you can just look at me - but if you insist. They say I look a lot like my mother, when she was younger - and that Lena looks a lot like me now. I'm about 5'6, which isn't bad - not ridiculously short, but not ridiculously tall, either. I've been trying to eat a little better, now that I've gone Light, but I still have yet to fill out much. Perhaps it's for the best? Just imagine, I'd have to find so many new dresses! Still, I suppose this whole 'witchy' look isn't entirely inviting. Not that it's as bad, now - the lack of disturbing yellow eyes certainly helps (they're a sharp, radiant green now - like all Light Casters'). My hair's dark brown, almost black, and it's not any shorter or tamer than it's ever been. To be fair, though, it's a bit difficult to appear entirely put together when you're a Natural, and every Cast has the unfortunate tendency to leave you looking a teeny bit windswept.

Casters traditionally dress a bit differently than Mortals - and I admit, I've kept to that, though I'm not as over-the-top as some. I don't get much more elaborate than my range of particularly elegant gowns. Some of us, though...well. That 'Lady Gaga' seems to have a good grasp on it. Sometimes I wonder whether she's secretly a Caster?

To which social class do you belong?
The Duchannes family is fairly high class - and, well, I wouldn't say respected (not in Gatlin, at least), but there you have it.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I'm allergic to strawberries, which is sort of unfortunate - they're very appetizing, aren't they? And I suppose, from a Mortal perspective, Caster energy might be considered a physical weakness - or, well, less of a weakness and more of an impediment. We radiate a certain magical energy that, in instances of prolonged contact, is fatal to mortal beings. Which is why we don't typically, well. Breed with them. Which I suppose would be unfortunate, if I ever found one attractive. ...Ahem. Not that they aren't adorable.

Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed.

What does your voice sound like?
I think I'm a considerably soft-spoken person. I don't raise my voice much - don't really see the need to. Shouting's just obnoxious, don't you think? Anyway, people used to tell me all the time I sound like a real sweetheart, and I admit I've...used that to my advantage when it comes to gaining people's trust. And of course, I'm from South Carolina, and it shows. If you're familiar with regional dialects of this world, of course - I certainly wouldn't want to assume anything!

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
I'm not sure I keep track. I suppose I do use pet-names rather often. "Dear", "darling", "sweetheart", "sugar". Some people seem to find it irritating - or take it terribly personally, as if I've selected a nickname just for them. But I'm honestly not trying to be offensive; it's just a habit.

What do you have in your pockets?
Where does one buy Southern gothic gowns with pockets? Really, tell me. That does sound so convenient!

I mentioned the pet-name thing, and the accent, above. Beyond that? I'm not one to fidget much, although I do have a habit of smoothing my dress - or my hair - when restless. Part 2: Growing Up

How would you describe your childhood in general?
It wasn't bad. In fact, for the most part, it was happy. For all the chaos that inevitably ensues, living with my family - me, and Del, and Macon, and later John? We had a lot of fun, running around Ravenwood's grounds, exploring all of Gatlin, and even messing with a few of the Mortals. Occasionally we got in quite a bit of trouble for it, too.

What is your earliest memory?
When I was five years old, I wanted to go to one of the Civil War reenactments in Gatlin. Mother wouldn't even consider taking me (she looked down on the whole affair, especially considering Genevieve's involvement), and when I realized I'd missed it, I cried all evening.

The next day, Del took me out to the fields and moved us back in time a day- so we could watch the whole thing. I remember that being the realization that she was really looking out for me.

How much schooling have you had?
I dropped out when I was sixteen, due to circumstances I had no control over. I've thought about taking a writing course or two, though.

Did you enjoy school?
Oh, I...wouldn't say that. Mortals can be incredibly cruel around high school age, you know. And they never treated me or Del too kindly - I suppose we did stand out a bit, so it's to be expected.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
I learned basic things - like cleaning and cooking - from my mother. And while I always had a talent for writing, I learned to perfect it in school. If you're referring to my supernatural abilities, I learned to control most of those under Abraham's guidance.

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
I was a little girl, with a sister four years older than me, who had amazing magical powers and constantly took every opportunity to look out for me. Who do you think my role model was?

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I've already explained things with my siblings, and my parents, to some extent. Emmaline and I butted heads on various occasions - she was controlling and I was rebellious - but we were for the most part, fairly close throughout my early childhood. I was closer to my grandma, Katherine, however. She spoiled me rotten, but also taught me a lot of important lessons. She died when I was seven, and that shook me up quite a bit - my first experience with grief, really.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer. I wanted to write for a newspaper, or preferably, publish my own books somewhere down the line.

As a child, what were your favorite activities?
I was certainly the outdoorsy type, and spent a lot of time exploring or playing hide and seek in the woods, or swimming or catching fireflies. Reading, writing (and drawing, to some extent) were favorite passive activities of mine - and I also enjoyed baking quite a bit. I also had something of a girly streak - I took just about any excuse to get all dolled up.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Izabel was...well, most times I just think of her as an entirely different person than I am. She was....I was...very sweet, I suppose. I wasn't too bitter, even you could say I had a good bit to be bitter about - but I was a good kid, if a bit withdrawn from people. I spent a lot of my later childhood just terrified over my Claiming, and looking back I probably wasted a lot of the time I had left worrying about it. But I was smart, and well-mannered, and compassionate. John used to throw the word "heart-breaker" around, but I think that's a little dramatic. And he was a little biased.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Oh, hardly! We didn't know many other Caster children outside the family, and I wasn't too keen on befriending Mortals after spending a few years in school with them. As I said, my closest friend was Del, growing up. Macon could sometimes be considered a friend, depending on the day - and John Eades became my best friend, and later my boyfriend, in high school. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

When and with whom was your first kiss?
John Eades kissed me at the winter dance in ninth grade. He was so nervous about it, and he just did it with no warning! Right in the middle of our conversation, if you can believe that - which startled me into spilling punch all over his dress shirt, poor thing. Then the whole thing fell apart when some lunatic drove a sausage truck straight through the wall...and if you find that difficult to believe, you've clearly never been to Gatlin.

Needless to say, it wasn't the most graceful of first kisses...but we sort of fell right into a relationship after that.

Oh! As an added note, while we're on the subject. Would the...colorful residents of that particular building in New York where we all seem to gather, kindly keep their lips off me? I've been kissed by a vampire and an angel, now, and while I am flattered - deep, deep, down - I'd appreciate it if you'd refrain, should the urge strike you, unless I indicate that I'd like you to do otherwise. Really, that's a bit tactless, but. If it's absolutely necessary information, I lost it shortly after John and I ran away together, after I'd been Claimed.

Casters don't become Casters - they're born that way, same as humans are born human, I suppose. And yes, there is a distinction. Aside from the obvious magical abilities we possess, we're longer-lived, slower to age, come from an entirely different culture - and imbued with an energy that makes it difficult to interact with Mortals on any extended physical level.

But, we are either Light or Dark - which means our natures are directly influenced by either good or evil. Typically, Casters get to choose which to align themselves to when they turn sixteen years old. My family, because of its curse, is not so fortunate. We are Claimed, for one side or the other. Though I spent the entire early portion of my life ensuring that I was good, I was Claimed for the Dark on my sixteenth birthday. Within several years, I'd lost all traces of the person I used to be.

Recently, that changed - by means of a contract, I was able to become Light.


Part 3: Past Influences

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Most Casters in my family would consider their Claiming to be the most important event in their lives. Understandably, of course - it defines who you'll be for the rest of your life, after all. And while mine ranks pretty highly up there (it's why I lost everything, after all), what's more important than that - what's more important than even contracting to turn Light again, or just about anything that's happened to me so far - was the birth of my baby girl.

Who has had the most influence on you?
Unfortunately, the answer to that question would likely have to be Abraham Ravenwood. He...ultimately convinced me that there was nothing left worth fighting for. That I should just give in, become Dark. He molded me into who I am, I suppose, and for the longest time I looked up to him as a mentor. I thanked him for it.

On a slightly brighter note, Shio and Emil and Eris? They've all influenced me quite a lot as well. They...helped me change, you know.

I owe them so much.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I...haven't done very many things to be proud of. Ethan tells me, though - and now I can vaguely remember - that I gave my life to save his, once. In this spirit world. ...I suppose I can be proud of that, at least.

What is your greatest regret?
Giving in to Abraham's influence. Killing John, leaving Lena to die...giving up everything that mattered.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Killing my husband. Trying to kill my own daughter. Terrorizing her, making her live in constant fear, killing her boyfriend...

I've done a lot of killing. But to me, at least, hurting someone you're supposed to love is worse than hurting an innocent stranger.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Not at all. Mortals are terribly oblivious, aren't they?

When was the time you were the most frightened?
Fear is one of those emotions I certainly didn't miss having. But, I suppose I could pin down a few instances. When I was Claimed, for one - I'd been so sure I was going to be Light, and then...well. After everyone found out what'd happened, they disowned me. Pretended like I never even existed. I was on my own, and I was terrified, and if it hadn't been for John, I don't know what would have happened.

And though I'd never admit it to him, when Angelus had be trapped in the spirit world, I was afraid. He'd blinded me, chained me up like an animal. Everything was dark, everything hurt, and there was no end in sight. ..Really, I was almost glad to end it all when Ethan came along.

Finally, I suppose I've been afraid for a long while now - ever since the angels showed up. I'm just...I don't think I can handle losing anyone else. Not after Eris.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
When we first got back to Gatlin, Abraham forced me to work in that filthy fast food restaurant. It was absolutely humiliating - I daresay my pride still hasn't recovered completely. Thankfully, apart from the irrelevant Mortals of Gatlin, he's the only one who knows about it. ..And...the Doctor and Oswin, I suppose. They'd better keep their mouths shut.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
If I went back and changed my Claiming, it'd...well, there's no guarantee that Lena would have ever been born. So maybe I ought to neglect that - change something else.

I'd go back and save Eris, if I could. Spare Emil - all of us - all of that pain.

What is your best memory?
The happiest I've ever been, I think, were the earlier years I lived with John. It wasn't perfect, by any means. We didn't have much in the way of money, and I was Dark, and constantly trying to fight off my impulses - but he was so sweet, and he'd do the most spontaneous, romantic things for me. And then I found out I was pregnant - and I thought, maybe now, with a family of my own, I had a shot at winning this thing. ..Yes. Those were the days I was happiest.

What is your worst memory?
Burning the, um - my home down. Leaving my daughter to die, and...killing him. It didn't effect me much at the time, because I wasn't capable of feeling much, by then. But now, I can't shake off the memory. ..It's haunted my nightmares.

Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I think being either is unwise. I'm realistic.

What is your greatest fear?
Losing anyone else. Hurting anyone else. I don't think I need to go into it.

What are your religious views?
Well, darling, I've died and experienced the afterlife. I've seen all there is - for Casters, at least. I don't need to question it anymore.

What are your political views?
That humans do a terrible job at governing themselves, mostly. Why on earth are their varying nations always fighting amongst themselves?

What are your views on sex?
I don't understand some people. It's like they're afraid of it. Really, I think it's one of the most beautiful things two people can do together - oh, but now I'm getting mushy. ..It's not something to be treated casually, I don't think. There. Is that definite enough for you?

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
Yes, of course. That hasn't changed, although...I'm not as inclined to do it as carelessly as I might have before. But if someone is threatening those I care about - if they're forcing an 'us or them' situation - then the choice is simple.

In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Destroy anything and everything different from them.

Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
...Yes, I think so.

What do you believe makes a successful life?
..Happiness? So it varies widely for different people, I'd imagine. For me, it means being surrounded by the people I love. And not having to fear for their safety - not that I see that happening any time soon.

How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Not very. I can count the number of times I've been entirely emotionally honest on one hand, I think.

Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I really have tried to get past my...issues with Mortals, recently. But there's a lot to overcome. I'm not sure if I'll ever put aside my feelings entirely, or if I'll ever want to, but perhaps it's best that I distance myself from them anyway.

Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Hurt my daughter, ever again. I've already done enough of that.

Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
Lena. Emil, Shio...perhaps the other members of the Ninth Doctor's little crew, if it would keep Lena happy.

In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I do try to remember my manners, at all times - and I think I'm friendly enough. I won't pretend I don't hold people at arms length, but as long as I at least come off as being warm, it doesn't matter much. The people I know better are the ones I'm a little more honest with. Still not completely honest, but...comfortable enough not to pretend that I'm happy all the time.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
My kids, as I affectionately call them. Even though they're not all technically mine.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
I don't mind telling you that my respect is a difficult thing to earn. And this might be an answer that surprises some people, but - Clara, I think. I've always sort of respected her, even when we were enemies. Even though she's a Mortal. Because she's undeniably strong - and whenever she's afraid, she doesn't allow her fear to slow her down. Not even a little. Not if it means protecting those she cares about.

And she didn't give up on Cast even for a moment, even when it seemed as if there was no hope left. ...She's a wonderful mother.

Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Oh, I don't...friendships are still sort of difficult. Depending on anyone is difficult, I suppose. I wouldn't really know where to begin.

Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
No, I don't.

John Eades was the only person I've ever loved - romantically, I mean. Not just loved - I was head over heels for him. He was my entire world, and he was the only person who never gave up on me, even for a moment. ...And then I rewarded all of that by murdering him. I...I was so frightened, when he started to look at me the way everyone else did - like I was a monster. And then he threatened to take Lena away, and the thought of losing both of them...something just snapped. And then I lost myself.

I killed my husband. I don't think that's something I can ever forgive myself for, even if he forgives me.

What do you look for in a potential lover?
I'm...not really sure. ...John always could make me laugh. I think that's important. Someone who can make you smile, or feel better regardless of how terrible things may seem. Someone you feel safe with. And trust - trust is also important.

I suppose ideally, if I ever considered being with someone again, I'd like them to be relatively...disconnected to everything I've been through so far. I think I'd be too afraid of them...being afraid of me, otherwise. But most everyone here knows my reputation, and Casters know it even better - and outside the Caster world, well, there aren't too many options. But it's not something I typically devote energy to fretting over. There are other ways of being happy.

How close are you to your family?
Not very. I haven't spoken to many of them in quite some time, and I don't really intend to change that. ..They wanted nothing to do with me, after I was Claimed. Now the feeling's mutual.

Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
I suppose you could say that, yes. I have Lena, my daughter - of course, she can take care of herself, at this point. She's so strong - she Claimed herself, broke the curse all on her own, and I couldn't be more proud of her. Or love her more, for that matter - even if she doesn't need me anymore.

Emil and Shio - sometimes it feels like they're almost like a family, too. They're such wonderful kids, and they deserve more than the tortures they've had to endure here. ...I'd give anything to keep them safe. Safe and happy.

Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?

Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
...That hasn't ever really worked out for me in the past. So I think I'm better off protecting myself.

If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
The list isn't a long one. But I suppose the people who I've already mentioned are important to me.

Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
..Abraham. It's because of him that I lost everything.

Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I like to try and be subtle enough to resolve conflict without arguing, though that rarely works around here.

Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Only if I need to. I'm sorry, but some of the people around here are terribly incompetent.

It doesn't bother me. It's preferable, even, because it's less personal.

I've never cared much - not since I went Dark. Now, though, I suppose I care about what the people closest to me think.

I think I've mostly covered this with my other questions? Reading, writing, baking...lighting fires...

What is your most treasured possession?
My soul gem, of course. Beyond that, perhaps the fire crystal Emil gave me - I still remember thinking how sweet he was, despite being almost completely Dark at the time. Or maybe the few baby pictures I still have of Lena. I kept them among my things, at Abraham's place - so they were safe when...when I burned my home down. And somehow, no matter how Dark I became afterwards, I could never quite bring myself to get rid of them.

What is your favorite color?
Red, orange, gold...something warm.

What is your favorite food?
I do like sweets - mostly because I like baking. Oh! Brownies are nice.

What, if anything, do you like to read?
All sorts of things. I simply enjoy reading, in general. I do have a particular fondness for American classics, though.

What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Well, I do like music - classical music, mostly. I've been to several plays, and typically enjoy them as well, if they're well-acted. I don't watch many movies, though - that's sort of a Mortal thing, you know. And I've just never had much patience for art!

Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I indulge in alcohol from time to time, but it's hardly a regular occurrence. I find smoking to be a rather disgusting habit.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Typically performing my duties as a contractor, nowadays.

What makes you laugh?
Plenty of things. I don't take myself too seriously, fortunately.

What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Violence towards children or animals, unnecessary experimentation, discrimination towards my kind - or anyone different, really.

What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I would make it rain, or perhaps even invoke a thunderstorm. There's nothing more soothing to fall asleep to.

How do you deal with stress?
I still find fire very soothing - and I realize this sounds a bit disturbing, but burning things is an excellent outlet for me. Not necessarily anything violent or destructive, anymore. Something as simple as burning wood helps.

I'm not fantastic at dealing with long-term stress. I tend to choose to dodge around dealing with it for as long as I possibly can.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
Plans and structure are all very nice, but when things fall apart, as they so often do, people tend to be at a complete loss. Sometimes it's just easier - and more fun - to be spontaneous.

What are your pet peeves?
I dislike people who don't even bother with manners. Who are sloppy, crude, loud, or all-around obnoxious - who lack class in it's entirety. There are quite a few Mortal mannerisms that irritate me as well - especially among the overly religious sort - but it's best to keep that sort of thing to myself, these days.

Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
These days, it's become - well, mostly hunting demons, with a bit of time set aside for the people I care about. It's more difficult to keep up with than I imagined it being - and if the routine was disrupted, I expect I'd be in trouble. My soul gem corrupts rather quickly.

What is your greatest strength as a person?
My ambition and drive and dedication. I'm not the sort of person who backs down from any scenario - and when I devote myself to doing something, I make sure I do it right. I strive for perfection. And provided I'm actually focused enough on a specific goal, I don't mind saying I'm a force to be reckoned with.

What is your greatest weakness?
My tendency to cling to people, to depend solely on them being there, without ever really 'letting them in'. I keep everything bottled up, I'm not honest when it comes to myself, and I can't lower the facade I've been keeping up for so long even now that I'm Light. Who I am feels false, but I don't trust myself or anyone else to be anything else, and I isolate myself emotionally.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd make myself Light - really Light, on my own, not...as the product of a contract that forced me to more or less sell my soul.

Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
I suppose extroverted. I'm good with people, and that means I'm comfortable with them, since I usually feel relatively in control. And truth be told, solitude terrifies me a bit.

Are you generally organized or messy?
Organized. Mess bothers me a bit - but then, look at who my mother is. Emmaline Duchannes wouldn't stand for so much as a speck of dust in her household.

Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
..I'm good at charming people - or infuriating them. I suppose I'm just good with people and provoking responses, in general. I'm excellent with my magic - one of the best there is. And, without the Dark influence, I think I'm a fairly decent mother.

I'm admittedly terrible at managing my own emotions, now that I have full access to them. I become far too dependent on the people around me, and always have - I'm not good at stabilizing myself on my own. And I have difficulty letting go of things, and usually come out worse for it.

Do you like yourself?

No matter what sort of person I tried to be, or still try to be, that curse Claimed me as Dark. I'm only Light now because I found a loophole. What do you think that says about me?

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
I don't...know? Is that silly? ...Things were a lot easier when I was Dark, I'll tell you that much. At least then, I was focused, and I knew what I wanted. Now...I don't really know. I wish I could tell you I'm as confident as I appear, but. At this point, I'm just sort of living to protect others. Not for any reason involving myself.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
..Well. Not to be morbid, or anything, but I've contracted. It's likely that I won't last that long.

If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Protecting those I care for, I suppose. Proving I can be good. Making this all worth something.

If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Say goodbye to Shio and Emil, and make sure they were alright. Spend as much time as I could with Lena...tell her how sorry I am. And then find Abraham - and go down fighting him. I helped bring him this far. It's fitting that I should at least try to stop him, before he can hurt anyone else - and while I have nothing left to lose.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
I...that I was strong enough to fight the curse, I suppose. At least for a little while. And that I lost my way, for a time there, but I eventually found it again. Most people, at least from the Caster community, will only remember me as the Darkest Caster who ever lived. But I'd prefer to be remembered as something a lot simpler - a mother? Sister? Friend?

What three words best describe your personality?
Driven. Angry. Lost. Which probably doesn't sound like me, to most people. But even now, I don't see much point in being emotionally open about things that upset me, especially things that have already happened and that I can't change.

What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Well that would range anywhere from charming to condescending to bitchy, I imagine. I also hear the phrase "Disney Princess" thrown around. I'm not really sure what that's supposed to mean.

Sarafine's just. She's come such a long way, and yet in many ways she's still so lost. I'd tell her to stop being afraid of exploring who she is - that keeping everyone at a distance, behind a facade of happiness, isn't necessary. Izabel - the person she was - isn't as far away as she thinks, and she should let herself be honest with others and trust them enough to take care of her instead of taking care of everyone else, and then maybe she could be happy.

Part 1: The Basics

What is your full name?
Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. That is my human name, and I chose it very carefully and precisely so it would sound authentic and believable. When I was working as a vengeance demon, I was known as Anyanka, and before that, I was called Aud. But I prefer my new human name over both of those.

Where and when were you born?
Ninth century Sweden. In a little hut just north of the river, to be precise. How charming and timely.

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
I don't really remember. Seeing as it was over a thousand years ago, they were likely hunters or gatherers or witchdoctors, or something ridiculously primitive like that. But I usually tell people they were lawyers, or realtors, or something respectable.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I'm an only child, thank god. I've seen what Buffy's little sister is like, and I'd rather not inflict that suffering upon myself, thank you very much.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
I live in New York now, because that's where I got settled in when I first conveniently returned from the dead. It's been about three years or so, since then. Impressive, right? I've come quite a long way, if I do say so myself. My magic shop is doing so well that I've been able to move into a bigger apartment. I live there with Alice right now, and the cat I adopted, Bindi. We have very strange neighbors. Two of them are somewhat ditzy and are constantly trying to sneak into our apartment, for whatever reason. Then, downstairs, there's some weird lizard guy who never stops blasting his obnoxious eighties music. I think I've seen a few of those 'trolls' around the building as well.

What is your occupation?
Having taken full advantage of the wonderful system this country has produced - capitalism - I'm employed in retail. A magic shop, to be exact. You'd be surprised how big a market for this kind of stuff there is these days. Especially with so many rifts opening up. We're probably going to have to expand soon - I've been thinking about establishing a chain! Maybe I'll put another one in Sunnydale, where it originally started out. Or San Francisco. I hear there are lots of strange people there.

Given that I thrive off a steady diet of vengeance and children's tears, I'm at a pretty healthy weight. ...Heh. Just kidding, there. I'm totally harmless, of course. Um, let's see. What other mundane information could I give you. I have light brown eyes, and my hair - well - it varies. I enjoy changing it a lot. People tell me that I'm 'too blunt'. I don't really understand that. How can you be too honest? Speaking or acting in a misleading manner is called lying, isn't it? That's silly. I don't play games, I tell people exactly what I think. It helps to weed out the people who'd waste my time, too.



Part 2: Growing Up

How would you describe your childhood in general?
Uneventful. Or possibly incredibly traumatic. Either or. Although I don't feel as though I have a particularly large amount of scars and problems, so it's probably the former. I just can't really remember.

What is your earliest memory?
Discovering that my husband had cheated on me. It's funny how I can't really remember much of my original human life at all. ...Just the bad things.

How much schooling have you had?
Oh, um. Well. When my amulet was destroyed, I became human again, and had to attend Sunnydale High School for a few years. And let me tell you, high school is very traumatic. Worse than several hell dimensions, even.

Did you enjoy school?
What part of 'worse than several hell dimensions' did you not understand?

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
From D'Hoffryn. I mean - he taught me to be a vengeance demon. So he essentially taught me everything that mattered. ..Except for the human things, I suppose. I learned those from Xander and his irritating yet vaguely endearing friends. I suppose that's important too.

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
In my village, there was a warrior who removed the head of the tiger he was hunting in one swing of his axe. I always found him rather admirable.

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Ugh, shut up with the family stuff, already. I have no family.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A barmaiden or child-bearer, I suppose. We didn't have a lot of options back then.

As a child, what were your favorite activities?
I vaguely remember enjoying swimming quite a bit.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I was assertive, and outspoken, and impatient, and...maybe a little bit insensitive, I guess. So basically, not a lot has changed, despite the centuries that have passed.

As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
I was never popular, in my old village. Everyone there thought I was very strange, and said I talked too much.

When and with whom was your first kiss?
My first husband, Olaf, on the day of our wedding. Anything before that would have been considered horrifically improper, back then.

Oh, don't be ridiculous, of course I'm not a virgin! I lost my virginity to Olaf - again, after we were married. Tch. What a waste.

Vengeance demons work a little differently than normal demons. We were all human, before, and then we were hand-picked to become demons. D'Hoffryn finds people who show vicious, massive capacities to inflict brutal vengeance on those who have wronged them, and, well...invites them to join his ranks. He made me a demon after I turned my unfaithful husband into a troll, and then set him loose to terrorize the village.



Part 3: Past Influences

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
..Becoming human again, I suppose. I wasn't pleased at the time, but the truth is? It taught be a lot...so much I hadn't learned the first time around. I'm, um - I'm glad Giles broke my amulet when he did.

Who has had the most influence on you?
As much as it pains me to admit it - Xander, I think. He was the first human I learned not to despise. In fact, he was the first human I learned to love. He taught me many things about human etiquette, even if I didn't always acknowledge him - and he was there for me when I....needed him. But the most important thing he taught me, was that I needed to stand on my own. For too long I'd depended on him, and used him to define myself...except I'd been using different people to do the same thing, long before I'd met him. If it hadn't been for him, I would have never learned that it needed to stop.

It's funny. In a way, him leaving me at the altar was the best thing he could have done for me. Even if it really, really hurt.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Um! I did lots of things that were good for me. But I really only ever did one good thing for everyone else - and that was give my life to save my friends from the First Evil. ...I didn't really do it to be a hero, or anything. I just...I don't know. Somewhere down the line, without me noticing, they started to matter to me. So that's why I did it. But it's still not half-bad, right?

What is your greatest regret?
It's sort of funny. I did all these terrible things as Anyanka, but I never really learned to regret any of them. So it was that much more surprising when...after I'd been human the second time, after I met Xander and Buffy and everything else...I killed all those frat boys, and it hurt so much. I wish I hadn't done that. I know some of the other stuff I did before was worse, but that's the first time I remember feeling any...remorse.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I started the Russian Revolution, and lots of people died. So, objectively, that, I guess.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Of course not! I'm a completely respectable member of society who makes her money in perfectly valid, legal, if slightly manipulative ways.

When was the time you were the most frightened?
I remember being really, really scared, right before I died. I didn't think I was going to be, because I went into the battle more angry than anything. That dorky Andrew kid made me think of bunnies, and that made me want to kill things. ..But then I realized how fragile and human I was, and there were so many vampires...and I realized I really, probably was going to die. And I was alone, and I couldn't tell anyone I was afraid. And that fear just kept building up. ...Until it was over.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
When that musical demon came to Sunnydale and forced us all to sing? Ugh. That was horrific. Oh! And the time we all lost our memories and I thought I was married to Giles and we kissed. He made me promise not to ever ever tell anyone about that.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Um. Just one thing? I guess maybe I'd...make it so Buffy's mom never died? Can that count, even though it's not really about me? Because...because that was really sad. One day she was there, and the next she just wasn't anymore. And it wasn't even like some vicious monster came in and ripped her head off, she just...got sick. Nobody even knew how sick she was. Not even the doctors. It seems so silly, so trivial, to lose someone like that when you're out fighting monsters every day. It's so stupid, how fragile mortals are, and how much I missed her, and how sad everyone got...I don't like seeing them sad. So that's what I would change.

Oh, and maybe bring back Tara for Willow, too, so she doesn't have to be sad either. Can I have two things?


What is your best memory?
Just...a lot of the time I spent back in Sunnydale, I suppose. Being a part of something there, and feeling like I had friends, and loving Xander so much? All of those are silly human things, but...they're surprisingly pleasant. I was happy back then.

What is your worst memory?
...Xander leaving me at the altar. We were getting married, and I was so happy, and then he just...left. Like none of it even mattered. I'll never forget how much that hurt. Worse than that sword that ripped right through my chest when I died.

Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Optimistic people are obnoxiously chipper and misguided, and pretty stupid. It's their own fault they get disappointed so often. But pessimistic people are depressing and boring and mopey, like those emo children you see running around high schools. I don't like them either. Is there a third option?

What is your greatest fear?
Dying again without, um. Doing something meaningful, I guess. Doing something worth remembering.

What are your religious views?
Due to the various different parallel universes that co-exist here, plenty of different religions are valid!

What are your political views?
Capitalism is good. Unemployment is bad. Um. Vote in the presidential elections because it's your right as an American citizen, or something.

What are your views on sex?
Ooh, it's fun! Would you like to hear about some of me and Xander's more satisfying encounters? ...Why are you looking at me like that?

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
Killing used to be pretty easy, but now it just feels...wrong. I don't think people should do it, unless it's to save their own life, or the lives of someone else who can't protect themselves.

In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
...I don't know. Humans do a lot of evil things, sometimes. I guess, hurt the people they care about. Because as a vengeance demon, that's where I saw the most pain. In situations where someone had been betrayed by a person they loved.

Pfft, that's Disney stuff. ...I really loved Xander, though.

What do you believe makes a successful life?
Oh, um - money! So you can buy everything you want! ...Except you can't buy friends, so you have to have those two, because being lonely isn't fun even if you have a lot of money.

How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Completely honest. I don't see any point in lying just to spare someone else's feelings.

Well, I don't like vampires all that much, but neither would you if you'd lived in Sunnydale. I'm also prejudiced against green-haired people named Hazama.

Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Hold a bunny. Because it's suicide.

Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
Um...my friends, I guess. Or maybe humanity in general. Maybe.

In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I treat everyone just about the same. I'm brutally honest with everyone. And I tell them very plainly whether I like them or not, just so we know where we stand. If I like them, I'm generally more pleasant, of course.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
I...! Do I have to pick just one? Because all of the Scooby Gang were really important to me.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
...Giles, I think. He's really smart. And he cares about all of us a lot, and always makes sure we're okay. Even me. Even though I know I annoyed him sometimes.


Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Oh um! Okay. Here it goes.

Buffy and me are kind of friends, I guess. I don't think she likes how honest I am, but she can deal. I really admire a lot of things about her, too. And there are tons of benefits of being friends with a Slayer. Like, no other monsters will mess with you, for one thing. Willow's pretty cool too. I remember we didn't like each other at first, but then I realized that even though she's a weirdo, she's pretty nice. Tara was nice too. I miss her. Oh, and Giles! Giles is the best. He's always so exasperated by all of us, and he's really British about it, and it's really funny. I like Spike, too. He's pretty cool, for a vampire. As the only two monster-y members of the Scooby Gang, we hang out.

...But Hallie was always my best friends. Even if we were pretty competitive. She was always there, for centuries, and then she just suddenly...wasn't anymore. ...And it was my fault. ...I miss her.

Outside of the people from Sunnydale, there's um. Cheryl and York! They were the first people I met when I got here. Cheryl's really funny, and York is kind of weird and always using his coffee to predict the future or something, but he's cool too. We all need to reunite one of these days. And then there's Eponine and Marius, who lived with me for a little while. They're really nice and refreshingly not insane, for humans. They never want to cause trouble or anything, and they never give me a headache. And Alice! She lives with me now. Even though she's grumpy and prickly and wary, she's my friend. I just don't know if she's figured that out yet. And finally, there's Tanzanite, who's another demon. Tanzy is my other-demon-best-friend-besides-Hallie. She's always full of silly ideas, like having demon parades in China! I wish I saw her more often, too.

Not right now, no.

Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
First, there was Olaf. He cheated on me, and he's the reason I became a vengeance demon. Asshole.

Then, the next time I was human, I met Xander. He wasn't quite as obnoxious as some of the other high school boys, and he took me to prom (weird high school ritual, may be satanic - needs further research). After that, we started dating, and then after a few years he asked me to marry him because the world was ending and he was feeling spontaneous. ..But then, right before the wedding, he got cold feet and left me.

I don't really know. Olaf and Xander were both really, really different. I don't know if I look for anything specific. It just has to...happen.

I wake up every morning at 7:30 sharp. Brew my coffee, have breakfast. Turn on the news and see what shenanigans are going on. Get a shower, do my hair, and then open up the shop at 9:00. From there on out, I spend my day making money (with an hour break for lunch at 12) until seven in the evening. On weekends, we open at ten and close at five. Sometimes my days are disrupted because I have to go do heroic things, and that's okay. But I'd be pretty irritated otherwise.

What is your greatest strength as a person?
I think that I never, ever back down and allow people to walk all over be, like some kind of weenie or something. I'm assertive and I'm not afraid of what people think of me, and I think that makes me stronger.

I guess I...still have trouble defining myself. I still get really confused about where I...fit in to everything. But that's okay! I'll figure it out soon.

I'm happy being the way I am.

Where and when were you born? Heian Japan, Colorado, and Tokyo - the last was in 1985. Things get a little more complicated with reincarnation.

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) Asahina Douji was my mother, and she was a kind and caring woman, as well as a skilled shaman. She died a thousand years ago.

My Patch parents are of no particular importance. As for this life... my parents are Keiko and Mikihisa Asakura. They're decent enough in terms of strength. Of course, they were stupid enough to try and kill me when I was born, but then, I can hardly blame their overconfidence.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? Yoh is my twin brother, though I came first. He's a little more immature and naive, and tries to be laidback with everything, which can be quite annoying. He takes the path of least resistance when he can, but he's an interesting person, with interesting friends. He's as strong as could be expected of my lesser half.

His scruples can be irritating, but he'll grow out of those eventually.

Well, I guess it's not such a long story. My mother was a shaman, and because the villagers saw her talking to thin air, they thought she was a demon, and a monk then incited them to tie her up and burn her to death. They then cast me out because I was a child with demon blood - but then an actual demon came by and told me I was just a kid who could see spirits.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? My mother's death, probably.

Who has had the most influence on you? That's kind of hard to say. Matamune was important. Ohachiyo, as well.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Defeating the King of Hell, or maybe stealing the Spirit of Fire under the noses of the entire Patch tribe.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Hmm... oh no, definitely not!

When was the time you were the most frightened? When I first lost control of my abilities.

Everyone around me was so afraid, so bitter, so angry. When I tried to help... they just hated me more. They thought I wasn't human. It was as if the whole world had turned on me, and I couldn't understand why.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? Mmm... well, Opacho once got me to play hide and seek with her, got into a field of sheep and made me lose track of her for two hours. I started to get a bit worried.

What are your religious views? I'm a devoted follower of the Great Spirit, as suits the one who will soon bond with it.

What are your political views? I believe in a totalitarian monarchy with the divine right to rule.

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? Oh, I could never bear to hurt a single soul!

I'm pretty informal. I don't open up with people easily, or at all - there's only so many I can trust after all - so I keep them at bay, but I keep them at bay nicely.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why? My mother was.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Does the Great Spirit count?

If not, then... I respect Yoh's strength of will. He's really come a long way.

Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. Ohachiyo was my friend. He's dead, because of my power. Matamune was my friend. He killed me, used up all the power I gave him and faded away.

Opacho is still around, though. She's quite outspoken and honest, which is fitting given she's only five. But she really believes in me, which is nice.

It was always more interest than love.

What do you look for in a potential lover? Strength of will, strong shamanic powers, the balls to stand up to me.

No, they don't actually do that.

Well... most of them, at least. Boris did, but Boris thought it would be dramatic and fit well with his theme. I occasionally read philosophy.

What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? I'm fond of the shamisen, as well as the power shamisen that's become quite popular in Japan lately. Visual kei is nice too. Of course, it's all inferior and produced by humans....

Some Native chants are also pretty nice. I don't really watch movies, or have the time to admire art museums.

Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? Peyote tried to get everyone to smoke a joint one day.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night? There's no real significance to Saturdays if you reject the societal structure imposed by humanity upon the world as a whole. I don't work, I don't go to school - what exactly makes Saturdays any different?

What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? Burn a few houses down, feed the Spirit of Fire some souls, maybe go find a few cats and chill with them for a while.

I sleep, I get up when I feel like it, I talk with some of my followers for a bit, eat something, go find some fights to watch or just hang around.

Part 1: The Basics

What is your full name? I am Mako, Captain Mako thank you very much... despite being between ships that does not make me less of a captain.

Where and when were you born? I have no idea honestly... sometime over three hundred years ago in what humans no call the 'golden age of pirates'... at least as far as I know.

Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) Not a clue in the world. Not a one. I have no idea what any of my family if I have any was like.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? You do not listen too good... Maybe you should listen better before this ceases to amuse me. I don't handle boredom well.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. Right now I live wherever the love of my life Bao resides... despite the fact she tends to scream at, shoot at, or throw things at me when I call her that. She tends to live in plush hotels with top of the line luxuries with all the delicious fixings. She always makes sure they have a very large tub for me to sleep in and has them fill it with salt water... it's the little things that shows she cares. We also travel with some of her other body guards who are... various levels of competence.

What is your occupation? Pirate!... well not so much nowadays despite how much fun it is. Bao isn't so understanding on the concept of other people sharing with us for fun and amusement... sure I can afford to just buy things but taking things is more fun!... nowadays I suppose I am getting paid to protect and assist my little bunny boo... hmm.. noo... no that does not work as a nick name for her. Will have to find something better.

Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? I wake up and climb out the tub or pool, go find Bao and see what we have planned. If she doesn't have anything planned I try to do something with her, if she can't because boring business I go find something interesting to do. Hard to disrupt that.

What is your greatest strength as a person? Willingness to learn and gain new experiences.

What is your greatest weakness?... I suppose lack of a proper conscious. I don't feel bad for most of what I have done. A few things here and there but most of it I would do again and again and again... I think Shakespear said "I have done a thousand wicked things as easily as one would kill a fly, but I only regret I can not do ten thousand more.".

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I suppose... my feet. I would like to be able to fit those interesting tennis shoes everyone nowadays wears instead of always having custom shoes made.

Are you generally introverted or extroverted?Extrovert for sure.

Are you generally organized or messy?Organization is time consuming and boring.

Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. Eating, Piracy, Swimming.... bad.. hmm... I suppose blending in, standing boredom... avoiding eating something I shouldn't after too long without meat.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?Marry Bao, Get a pirate ship. Have her be my pirate queen.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?Serving my pirate queen.

If you could choose, how would you want to die?... I don't think I am allowed to say that here... No... checked the rules.. can't... let's just say I will not die.. in my own bed. If I can.

If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Kiss Bao on the lips... If I still have time after being done there I want to climb to the top of the tallest building... and finally jump off. Aiming my body at a mime.
