Alias:
Harley Quinn, Harley, Harls, Pooh, Punkin, Punkin Pie, Kiddo, Baby, ‘Doormat’, Clowness, Clown Princess of Crime, Cupid of Crime, Maiden of Mischief, Miss Chiff, Elise Archer, Jane Wadalosky, Harl, and anything she needs to go by to pull off a caper.
Age:
27
Ranking:
Villain(ess)
Physical Appearance:
Harleen Quinzel, she is tallish, blonde, and incredibly beautiful. But that would even be enough to describe her. Her pale blonde hair isn't too thin, nor is it too thick. It is straight, mostly, though there is a slight wave that runs through it. It's pale color isn't real. She is a bottle blonde, so to speak, having used bleach and dye to make it the perfect shade that it is. She seems to manage it so well, that she can't even remember what her natural hair color was. Maybe it was a light brunette or a sun set red. Her eyes are soft and blue, almost puppy dog like in size. They are the most expressive part of her and easily betray all of her emotions, whether she wants them to or not. Her skin is pale as porcelain, with an almost permanent blush. She is lithe in figure, though she is rather strong. Her back is scarred up here and there, some from the Joker's outbursts and some from her own clumsiness. Harley has one or two scars on her leg from incidents and accidents while she was into gymnastics. She is about five foot five and weighs approximately one-hundred and twenty-seven pounds.
As Harley Quinn, she paints her face an almost ghostly white and smothers her lips with wither black or dark red lipstick. Around her eyes, she generally wears a black dynamo mask, though half the time she settles for just using a charcoal colored greasepaint and doing up the area around her eyes in a diamond. As for her costume, it is a one piece. Around her neck is a white jester-like collar with tiny white balls jangling. The suit is divided almost perfectly in half vertically and horizontally, alternating black and red. On the arms and legs of the costume is a little diamond insignia. The design is simple, just three diamonds creating a larger incomplete diamond. At the end of each sleeve is a white cuff. She wears red and black gloves and shoes, alternating opposite of the costume. As for head gear, she has a detachable jesters hood. It, too, is red and black, dividing right down the middle.
When not in her costume, she tends to wear custom made clothes in red and black, almost always having a diamond on it. She keeps her hair up in either pigtails or leaves it down completely, though she does sometimes wear it in a bun or a ponytail. She likes ostentatious clothing that shows off her curves or perfectly sculpted body. She knows that she is beautiful, and she loves showing it off. But that isn’t all she wears. She also has a lot of disguises she wears, from chauffer outfits to police uniforms. She is a master of disguise in almost every way.
Personality:
Harley is a very dependent girl. in essence, she would do almost anything that the Joker told her to do. She can't live without him and, in her mind, he can't live without her. They are two of a kind. She is so submissive, that even her best friend Ivy calls her a 'doormat'. Her submissiveness goes so far that, when she feels that she did something wrong, she willing submits to Joker's beatings, which generally leave her bruised and sometimes cut up. That's not to say that she never she never has her own little outbursts. Like the Joker, her mood can swing rather violently. If the Joker did something that she views as generally wrong or that he did something out of line to her, she lashes out on him.
Quinn is a lot more than a pretty face and a submissive girl. She has a very playful soul. As expected, she is one to joke and make things into a joke. Live with the Joker and see if that doesn't happen to you. She can be rather hyper and humorous. She is very outgoing, keeping a rather optimistic view on things. All in all, she is a rather good natured person.
On the other hand, she is a demented and sick girl. She is crazy, enough said. And it is due to the Joker. She can get defensive about those she loves, fighting for them when need be. The girl can be very violent and also cunning. Though she is naive, that doesn't necessarily mean that she is stupid. Her intelligence is rather high, and she can come up with just as elaborate schemes as her Puddin', she just acts stupid. Harley can be very manipulative, too.
There is another part to her personality that is rather strong. She is ultimately an actress, being anybody that the Joker wants her to be. And she is quite good at it. She will be anything, from a whore to a lawyer. There is almost nothing that she won't be for him. Depending on the job, she has to change the way she acts.
But that is only her as a criminal, as Harley Quinn. Harleen Quinzel, a person she now ‘plays’ sometimes in her acting, was a completely different person. Harleen was very professional, sweet, and, surprisingly enough, methodical. Oh, and a bit manipulative. She was always planning, always thinking ‘How could I get my name out there?’ or ‘How could I make people view me differently?’ She was thought of as a joke by many of her Arkham colleagues, so changing people’s view of her seemed rather important to the young psychiatrist. She was a romantic and a sweetheart, generally giving off a loving vibe around almost every one. She had been popular yet she hadn’t taken advantage of that popularity. Well, most of the time she didn’t try to take advantage of it.
Powers/Abilities:
Harley wasn't born with any real powers but she does have some. They were the result of a chemical that Poison Ivy had given her. Harley's speed, strength, and stamina are very well enhanced due to this chemical. Also, she had become immune to all toxins, poisons, and chemicals. That is one of the most important powers that she was given. Working for the Joker, she has to be around chemicals and toxins all the time, so an immunity to them was exactly what she needed.
As far as abilities go, she has a couple of natural talents. First of all, she is very flexible. Her flexibility and lithe body make it easier for her to pull off the crimes the Joker asks her to do. She is also a natural gymnast, another talent that can help her with her tasks. Her final 'ability' s her natural fighting ability.
Equipment:
Mallets:: Harley has a variety of mallets at her disposal, some metal and some wooden. The mallet adds to her style and flair. Harley usually uses her wooden mallets, though.
Guns:: Guns. Lots and lots of guns. But most of her guns aren't as they seem. Almost all of them have a twist to them. One is a pop gun, more commonly called a cork gun. But its cork isn't always a regular old cork. Sometimes it is Concrete, sometimes lead. She also has a spear gun that has a 'Bang Bang, you're dead!' banner before it actually 'shoots' you.
Knives:: Harley uses knives, enough said. They are easy to carry and very very useful!
Toys:: She's the Joker's girl...and she is a lot like him. She can find a way to use almost any of her toys as a weapon. She favors her deck of razor throwing Joker cards.
Her 'Babies':: Bud and Lou are a set of beautiful spotted hyena's and listen to everything that Harley says. She uses them to attack as often as she uses them as friendly ears to use.
Toxins:: Joker Gas. Joker Venom. Acids. Poison. She has used them all, though not on a regular basis.
Other:: She will use anything that she can get her hands on as a weapon. Hey, she has to defend herself some how.
Psychological Flaws:
Obsessed:: Harley has a problem, an obsessive one at that. Withwhat who? The Joker. The Joker is her way, her being... hell, she wouldn't be able to live without the Joker... or Ivy. Her obsesses love for him is what made her Harley Quinn in the first place... or maybe she had always been Harley Quinn?
Insane:: Crazy. Nuts. Cuckoo. Any of these words could be used to describe her. Any of these words would be perfect, too. She is crazy, no doubt. She's also a bit delusional and, at times, hears a voice that seems to play her 'conscience' inside her head.
'Dumb Blonde:: She plays the 'dumb blonde' routine, acting dumb and ditzy just because it is funner for her. Dizty, in her eyes, equals the child like personality she had never gotten to show to the world growing up.
Naive:: She is extremely naive... but then again, is that really a surprise? Though smart and manipulative, her naivety was her ultimate downfall.
Impulsive:: She... thinks before she acts and speaks. A lot. And it has gotten her in trouble on numerous occasions. On impulse, she tried to kill Batman and was almost killed by the Joker for it. On impulse she had said the 'ending' joke and gotten kicked out by Joker... See, trouble.
'Doormat':: 'Jeez, Harls, if you had a middle name, it would be 'Doormat'. This was(yes, I paraphrased slightly) by Harley's best friend, Ivy. And, in a lot of ways, it is true. She has been beaten, ridiculed, and threatened by the Joker on numerous occasions yet she always goes back.
Physical Flaws:
Easily Bruised:: With pale skin, bruises show up easily and occur with ease. Harley has awoken to find bruises that have no reason to be there. Simply being grabbed too tightly can bruise her.
Fragile:: Fragility, i think, is different from being easily bruised. Granted, she doesn't break her bones easily, she is still a very fragile girl and needs to be taken care.
Scarred:: Harley's body is riddled with scars from the Joker. She scars up rather easily for an enhanced villain.

Brief History:
Harleen Quinzel was born in Gotham city to a younger couple by the names of Aileen and Harvey Quinzel. Thinking it would be creative, the two lovers took parts of their own names to come up with Harleen's. She grew up into a pretty good family. Both of her parents had worked in the medical field. Dad was a doctor while mom was a psychologist, so she had been surrounded by those kind of things practically since birth. She lived in a rather large house on the outskirts of Gotham, though it was still in the city limits. Growing up in luxury, she had had a perfect life.
When she was about seven, Harley got into gymnastics. Surprisingly, she had vast natural talent. Her body was as flexible as a cat and her balance was stupendous. The young Harleen feel in love with the gymnastics program and stayed with it for a long time. She loved it so much, that she thought that maybe, doing martial arts could help her. Martial arts, depending on the type being practiced, had a lot to do with balance, flexibility, and control. All of these things were also core elements in gymnastics. She had natural talent in the field of fighting, too. She stayed with it like she stayed with gymnastics.
For the first few years oh her schooling, she had private tutors and such to teach her the things that her parents wanted her to learn. Her mother wanted her to learn the arts and psyche while her father wanted her to learn science. Since elementary school didn't really cover these things, they thought that they were obligated to make her take private classes. Unfortunately, she also had to go to school in the morning. With permission from the principal, her parents had made it so that she only needed to stay for half of a day.
By the time she had gotten into middle school, her parents had eased up on her studies, letting her have more of a say in what she wanted. Harls was back to taking proper classes, staying though out the whole school day. On the weekends, she would have private tutoring sessions. They helped to stay on top of her classes. During Middle School, she tried out for a chance to be on the school's Gymnastics team. She made it in and was ecstatic. The young girl spent a whole lot of her time just studying hard and practicing for competitions. She almost always lead her school to victory.
Her studies and competitions left her no time to really just be a kid. Through out high school, she was on the top of her game, never looking to really fool around. It was here that she decided to follow in her mothers foot steps and become a psychiatrist. Even then, she had ambitions of fame and fortune. She wanted people to know her name, to speak of it as if she was the best. Ambitions that would later result in her demise.
A mere four years after that, she had been accepted into Gotham University on a Gymnastics Scholarship, but she still wanted a bit more. She did what she needed to do to get what she really wanted.
Harley met a boy named Guy and fell in love. Guy was a bit obsessed over his Chaos theory, talking of it constantly. She herself, wanting to be a psychiatric and psychology major, had a theory that she was willing to use to become part of that field. Her theory was that if two people's love for each other was truly strong, the one wouldn't care what the other would do. She told this to her professor, having called him to her room to talk about it. It was also a set up, recording every bit of the conversation on a tape recorder. He told her that she would need to create an experiment for it, after a bit of convincing. The professor slipped a bit of Joker Venom into Guy's special drink a bit later for motives unknown to the young Harleen. She never really knew about it. She set up her plan prior to the meeting, knowing that she would get the permission she needed.
Her experiment had ultimately lead to her boyfriends death. She didn't think that it would be that severe, though. When Guy had walked into the room, she had been crying as if she was truly upset about something. When asked what was wrong, she told him that she had run a red light. Of course, he thought that that was silly and that it was nothing to be sad about. He took a swig of his drink before walking towards her and taking a seat beside her. Another tear. She told him that that wasn't all, that she had shot a man. At that point she produced the gun. Guy's eyes it with shock and examined it before freaking out. It had been used, he noted with fear. He took the gun from her, saying that they needed to make sure that there was no evidence. It goes on for a bit, but ultimately, they go to the gym to see a homeless man, one like the one Harley said she had shot. In confusion, her boyfriend shot him and in the end shot himself.
That had taken a toll on the girl, leaving her in utter shock and despair. When she got back to her room, she saw her professor in there, dumping the rest of Guy's special drink down the sink. She glared at him, tried to sip him, but couldn't. The professor saw the bit of blood on her coat and demanded to know what happened. She in turn told him that Guy had died. He wouldn't let up, though, so she had to threaten him. She produced the recording she had made earlier that night and played it, threatening to reveal it to the dean of the school if he said a single thing.
She then turned on the T.V. to see something on the Joker. A bit laughingly, she told him how maybe the Joker had it right. And that Guy's whole chaos theory was right on boat with the Joker. This is where she must have lost a bit of her sanity. How she managed to retain the rest is a mystery.
After graduating college, she got a job at Arkham as an intern. This was where she was going to get her big break, where she was going to be able to get the Fame that she so desired. And who would bring it to her but the Caliph of Clowns himself?
It took her a while to convince the head of Arkham to actually be able to be come the Joker's psychiatrist, but she eventually did. And it was the worst thing that ever happened to her. She both blesses and curses the day. Slowly, the Merry Mad Cap twisted her naive mind and turned it on her. It took a while to do it, but she fell for her patient. It took him to escape to realize how much she wanted to be with him.
And, ultimately, she did go after him. Even going as far as to destroy everything she had, including her home and her job. She picked up a costume from a store, a red and black harlequin outfit, and dubbed a new name upon herself. Harleen Quinzel was dead, she had been a mere impostor. Yes, that was it, Harley Quinn had always been there. And she would never leave, never.

Harley was singing softly to herself as she got stuff ready in room. She was wearing the same outfit she had worn to her DJA Christmas party thing. It was beautiful. It was a sort of 'Miss Clause' red dress thing that she had made herself The dress itself ended just above her knees. It included a black belt around her waist, black gloves on her hands, and black moccasin boots on her feet. The dress itself had a black fur lining while the gloves and boots had a red fur lining. Black tights clung to the bare skin of her legs her legs. As for a hat, she did have one on. It was a black Santa's hat with a red fur lining and the words 'Joker Baby' embroidered on it in crazy green and purple letters. She even wore a little black choker around her neck that had a bell on it. Her make up was minimal. She just wore a bit of black lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, a little eye shadow and some blush. Oh and a powder than made her skin look paler than it was. She hoped that Joker would like it... since she had actually made it specifically for him.
But that wasn't what she was doing at the moment in her room... Now, she had done her make-up and had been dressed for at least an hour now. No, she was making sure she had Christmas stuff all ready. Harley had a small Santa Sack that was black with red lining and the words, "MERRY CHRISTMAS PUDDIN'" embroidered onto in in Red and Green.
The girl had gotten the Joker a few little gifts. She had gotten him things she thought he would like. She got him some of the more classic comedy acts on video (she did remember stealing a tv and vcr a month back for the Hideout). These acts included things by the Marx Brothers as well as Abbot and Castello... and she couldn't help but include Monty Python. She also got him some new equipment for his 'chemistry' fun and lab. And she had also made him a gift. Now, Harley was known for making plushies of herself or Joker or even Ivy to decorate her bedroom (and even sometimes Joker's when he is mad at her and refuses to sleep in the same room as her) and she knew for a a fact that her Puddin' would just love to get the Bat all tied up for Christmas... She couldn't do that, though. So, instead, she had made him a rather cartoon-like looking plushy of the Bat for him. It was about half the size of the actual Bat but it was still rather proportional... and it looked almost as if she had bought it from the store! Anyhow, she had wrapped them all up and placed them in her sack... as well as a few sprigs of Mistletoe.
Harley closed up the sack and picked it up, flinging it over her shoulder with ease. She only held onto it with one hand. The girl left her bedroom and headed towards the top floor, assuming that Joker would be up there fiddling with his toys and chemicals and what not. But to her surprise, he wasn't there for once. It was a shock! But she could deal...
The Clown Princess headed down the stairs and found the lounge area. The lounge area wasn't much. It held the flat screen TV she had stolen as well as the VCR. There was also a couch, a reclining chair, and a few plushy seats... and pillows. She stood in the doorway, placing her bag down on the ground and looked puzzled. "Puddin'! You in here?"
Laughin' at the Bat; and playin' in the snow!
Under the moon so bright; with blood stainin' the ground;
It's gonna be such a night I can see it now!
Oh Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg,
Tha Batmobile lost a wheel an' Puddin' got a way!'
