Cbox Name: TheAhriman
Nicknames: Niku
Main Account: Ahriman
Who else do you play?: Ahriman! Surprisingly
How did you find us?: o.o
Category: OC, im bad at Canons
Name: Tai Hyuga
Alias: Seiryu, That Guy (to a large number of dojos), The Blue Dragon
Age: 19
Ranking: Super Hero
Physical Appearance: Tai kinda stands out for a couple of reasons. Firstly, he has silver hair. No-one is quite sure WHY he was born with silver hair but he was, and he wears it well since it grows in a slightly unbelivable system of flicks and spikes. He claims if he straightened it it'd look fine. He has it long as the end is tied into a pony-tail which, rather than curling, spikes even more to look like a bristled blade. Facially, he looks like a blend of Japanese and Caucasian with blue eyes, fairly wide but slightly tanned skin and a build and height that is most definitely asian. He's got a surprisingly unbroken nose. While not exactly good looking, he has a certain charm with his athletic build that he is completely unaware he has.
Clothing wise, he tends to wear a cyan coloured gii as part of his 'Blue Dragon' theme with a red belt and a red T-shirt worn underneath. The sleeves of his gii top are all torn off leaving him with a gii vest and only the red sleeves. On the rightside of the Gii the 青竜 kanji is stitched on in red thread. He also has an assortment of sweatbands he rotates through depending on his mood with various flags and nationalities written on them. He's slightly famous for wearing converse style sneakers in place of the traditional slippers worn by most martial artists.
Personality:
Tai is a fighter, and he doesn't really understand what's wrong with that being his job description. He fights, that is what he does, mainly in spars but what's the big deal? The big deal is normally that this was against a platoon of Krav Maga trained marines who could exterminate a country. Tai tends to spend his days wandering from place to place improving his martial arts due to his being both homeless, jobless and masterless. He's happy-go-lucky and seems to be completely immune to hardship as he has no idea he leads a life so depressing Hollywood considered it in bad taste to exploit it for films. He's a really nice guy, often leaping to the defence of people who don't, neccessarily, need it and performing random acts of kindess when he does have money (not exactly a flaw but could well be). He also has the most objective mind in existence, a boon when fighting an opponent as he can make wise decisions. Less useful when he's talking to someone about their asshole boyfriend and can see it in terms of the universe. He's kind of an idiot and is prone to saying stupid things, as well as not really understanding Math, Science, History, Geography or Science (including biology, somehow, despite his first experience). He is multi-lingual though.
Powers/Abilities:
Tai has spent his entire life studying martial arts in various forms or other and has managed, somehow, to re-wire his brain so that he can process martial arts into it better giving him a vague sense of adaption and improvements. This blends well with his body bordering on the super human in terms of ability allowing him to fight well against people who by all rights should be far superior to him. There is a rumour that he has yet to confirm or deny, that he could punch Superman in the face. He's never had a reason to prove or disprove this. Just in general, he's stronger, faster, more endurable and flexible to a degree people would not believe. His agility is probably his high point.
Styles
Seiryu Taijutsu- The only style that he defaults onto, while he incorporates nigh on all elements of his training and schools into this it seems based on agility. The most common traits are leaping moves that would normally be considered unfeasible and a constant shift of blocks and dodges making it difficult to predict how he will react to attacks. His stance in this form is a loose standing state with his fists raised, one lower than the other and the other higher. All the moves are taken from the 5 martial arts he considers his 'Tao' as it is his core of power. Below this are the various shifts he has available, each one resembling an aspect of Tai's 'Tao' power.
Seiryu Ninjutsu- A style that Tai doesn't like to use but occasionally needs to. It blends all the elements of his Tao together with the destructive force and killing intent he's learnt from years of survival and directs it at an opponents. This is used only when he absolutely has to win and the opponent is Super Human. This level of combat ability is often comparable to a force of nature, disabling poorly trained opponents with an ease that seems almost unrealistic. It also adds in elements of Ninjutsu in both it's use of weapons (mainly shuriken but, also kunai and any other weaponry he can throw) and that it often uses bone or joint destroying locks and twists. While he would never kill, if neccessary Tai will remove an opponent's ability to fight and ensure they can never hurt someone again. Because of the brutal nature of this he doesn't like to use it. In this form, he radiates ki and his already amazing abilties leap to the point he can be believed to be inhuman.
Kenjutsu- While he calls it by the Japanese name, he also learnt fencing, broadsword combat, as well as the use of just about anything with a blade, a handle and a good chance of cutting someone, including spears, knives and throwing stars (though he isn't as accurate when not using ninjutsu). He does own a katana which he carries with him in a blatent disregard for the law, but he tends to hide it away in dojos if he has the opportunity. Because of the fact he doesn't really want to be arrested he tends to grab a random item to use instead of a sword, carrying a sword hilt and super glue to make this work if it seems truly impossible. Some noticable examples of this include
Mental skills!- While not really a power, he is noticable for being nigh on omni-lingual because of his life style and is able to negotiate like he was raised a lawyer. He also seems to have a very strong grasp of different legal systems, leading to at least one occasion where he managed to defend himself in court at age 11 for the crime of murder and not only proved his innocence but displayed a glaring flaw in the legal system of the country. He's also got an ability to tell what people are thinking that borders on telepathy. He copied this one off of Darren Brown.
Copycat- Not really a talent, but if he watches a movement he can copy it. Noticably, and possibly terrifyingly, he doesn't have a photographic memory. He taught himself to do this by observation and memorisation. Between this and the above, it may explain his flaws in certain areas due to brain-space. This is by no means flawless.
Impossible?- Tai was once called 'the universe's blind spot' by one master because of one trait he has. Doing things that are impossible. Not just a little, but stuff like surviving a fall from an airplane because he 'rolled' or slicing open a battleship with a bowie knife. This isn't really a power, but something which seems to follow him around. No-one has any idea how the hell this works.
Equipment:
A sports bag filled with two spare giis, an extra pair of shoes, approximately 10 shurikens hidden as christmas tree decorations, a stack of about 20 wristbands, a lighter for fire, a couple of sports drinks and his indefinitely empty wallet. The contents of the bag does change a fair deal and usually has weaponry of some variety as well as bizarre objects inside it. As the Triads who found themselves pelted with gingerbread men can attest.
Psychological Flaws:
Oblivious- Tai doesn't seem to be AWARE of how super-human he is. Which is often more comical than anything else as he will freak out and panic when faced with someone who can pick up a car, even though he himself could probably do the same thing. This also extends to relationships, being unaware of subtext or when a girl (or guy, in one masters case) is blatently hitting on him.
Non-violent- Tai doesn't really want to hurt someone, and has promised himself to never kill another person for any reason. This is often used against him by martial artists who are only too happy to kill in the name of furthering their name. This also means he doesn't tend to fight unless he's attacked or he feels there is a strong cause.
Society? Is that the Indonesian thing with the elbows?- Tai has had asheltered massively exposed to the elements[/i] life, and as a result he doesn't really understand some social norms. For example, telling someone their haircut looks stupid. Or, more extremely, that it's weak and lame to only go to church after the death of a loved one. Tactless and blunt is one way to put it, but this applies to things that even tactless people would wince at.
Excessive Honour- Tai has honour so strong that he will often endanger himself as part of his unspoken creed. It's no exageration to say he would die a hundred times over his belief. Though his motto is still "Don't kill or be killed" so he would rather it not come to that.
Physical Flaws:
Hunger- If he doesn't eat, he doesn't feel well. This actually is a serious physical flaw as he never has any money and burns calories like they're extremely dry lumber. If he was immoral enough to steal food or charge money for protection he'd be fine, but NO, honour screws another one.
Faults- There are problems with each of his Martial Arts styles, though normally intrinsic to the style Tai hasn't gotten a good way to get rid of them yet. As they are not taking into account the other random skills he knows it'd be a really long list of faults but suffice to say, Karate can be too rigid, Capoeira needs space, Taekwando is difficult to control, Muay Thai can injure the user and Judo is only decent for counters.
Still human... kinda- Technically, Tai is a human being despite his monstrous abilities. As such, he can be injured and killed. Just good luck doing it.
Other Flaws:
Unbelievably poor- Tai has not held a dollar in over a month. Not even a joke.
Brief History: This history will take the form of two different parts. This is the first part
In the middle of the woods of Aokigahara, a baby was found. No sign was found of his parents and given the areas history (As seen here) the people who found him were not expecting to find any. Taking him home, they decided to raise him and gave him his name. Tai meaning body. This would be important. At the edge of 4 months, the mother started noticing something. The baby was doing callisthenics. It seemed to be developing strength for movements and speed. If she didn't know any better she'd say it was working out. At the age of 3, Tai attended his first Karate class and proved good. Very good. Tai managed to win a tournement at the age of 5 which was the beginning of a long line of 'OK, stop bullshitting' events in his history. Unfortunately, the story can't have a happy ending. The Yakuza were not too pleased when the bosses son was beaten black and blue by a 5 year old. Even more so when the parents scoffed and threatened to have their son beat the gang up. Tai returned from primar school to a world of blood.
The police didn't know where he'd gone when they returned, they couldn't find any evidence of the Yakuza and with a deep sigh, they had to drop the case. Inspector Shimura swore he would avenge the Hyuga family. It may seem cold but Tai forgot his parents, they hadn't been bad to him, but he was only a child and now he had a meaning to his life to seek. Martial Arts. He travelled to other schools, a child who was only taken seriously after a demonstration, often followed by an apology. And so he learnt... until the day he could return to Japan for revenge. Well, not exactly. But he did feel the people who'd cared for him when he was vulnerable (and paid for his damn karate lessons) deserved to be avenged. The Yakuza were unaware what hit them. Members were defeated in a random order, they didn't know what was happening, some were hit some spared, not even neccessarily from the same gang! This was because they were in the line Tai was taking to the headquarters of the gang who killed his parents.
Once inside, Tai managed to set a world record for KO's, though unregistered. 23 Yakuza agents were knocked unconscious in a minute by a 12 year old boy. And finally he confronted the boss, disarmed quickly and held in a choke. Tai realised he could kill him, with a dreadful certainty. He was a killer, he'd killed his parents. But he was beaten. Tai released his grip and looked down at the man who'd murdered his parents and achieved a state of Zen. Forgiveness. He then kicked the guy's jaw and knocked him out long enough to write childish insults over his fore-head in permanant marker.
What follows are a list of events reported to have happened, many of which appear on the internet credited to the 'Blue Dragon' as the name Tai decided to call his style

Another struck at the back of his head and was dodged by a hair bredth, flipping forward the heels of his feet crashed into the enemies jaw and took the second one down. Landing neatly, he stamped horizontally on the third and caused a crack to appear in the brick wall behind him. All the moves are taken from the 5 martial arts he considers his 'Tao' as it is his core of power. Below this are the various shifts he has available, each one resembling an aspect of Tai's 'Tao' power.
- Karate- Predominantly Shotokan based but open to changing, a fairly large number of his strikes are based upon this. The stance for it is one fist at his side and one angled downwards with legs bent. When fighting with this he considers it his 'Earth' state, ultra stable and able to strike out with powerful decisive moves. It is still fast but is mainly themed around straight lines because Tai finds it easier.
- Capoeira- Possibly Tai's favourite subset, used for evasion and for mainly leg work he considers it 'Water' and will normally be his first port of call. His stance is constantly moving with arms high and legs stepping in constant motion. A large number of his moves are of the Angola school, focusing on groundwork, but he tends to use the high-flying kicks when he has the chance.
- Taekwando- The one that Tai often switches into with Capoeira, the two being leg based allows him to flow the two together. He uses this as his 'Wood' state and has sharp decisive leg strikes with it, designed to pierce defenses. He doesn't jump as much in this and will also use his fists when possible to disorienate his opponent. He rarely uses it if he can use Capoeira as he doesn't have great control of his power
- Muay Thai- The most brutal of the martial arts he has decided, only used on opponents who must be beaten by raw power. He raises his hands to shield his head and floats a leg above the ground for stance. He tends to unleash powerful blows over and over in this state of elbow and knee strikes. Of his switches, he considers this his 'Fire' state because of it's offensive capabilities.
- Judo- Often used only momentarily, Judo is used to grapple opponents to the ground and is nearly always used for counters to other moves. The stance for it is normally similar to karate but with loose hands held low with little guard. These moves are notable for chaining well with the other styles and as such it's considered 'Metal' by Tai for it's versatility.
Seiryu Ninjutsu- A style that Tai doesn't like to use but occasionally needs to. It blends all the elements of his Tao together with the destructive force and killing intent he's learnt from years of survival and directs it at an opponents. Some noticable examples of this include
- A 2X4 he found in an alley
- A metal pipe
- A cactus
- A pinball machine (though unwieldy)
- An umbrella
- The opponent's dog
- A christmas tree
- Kitchen Knives
- The refridgerator (related to the above)
- The opponent's car door
Needless to say, he would prefer a sword or bokken.
Mental skills!- While not really a power, he is noticable for being nigh on omni-lingual because of his life style and is able to negotiate like he was raised a lawyer. What follows are a list of events reported to have happened, many of which appear on the internet credited to the 'Blue Dragon' as the name Tai decided to call his style
- The Blue Dragon swam from Japan to China and arrived in China with a Hammerhead shark following him who had to be gently explained to that he couldn't come on land but must continue his journey in the sea alone. The hammerhead is allegedly called Frank.
- The massacre of Yuandin is avenged by a single man who killed the Vampire responsible by, if this correct, 'punching him so hard he was beheaded'. This has been unsubstantiated as no-one has been able to find the head
- A bank robbery was stopped by a man in a martial arts uniform defeating the enemy with a soccer manouever he observed in the streets of Brazil. The robbers were all horrified into submission when it was revealed the ball was a head. Investigations are ongoing.
- There was a Tiger, some fighting occured, that's about all we know.
- It is discovered that human beings CAN ride the tiger, Dio is owed an apology.
- The Blue Dragon proves he is real by defeating a man identified only as 'The Fire Wizard' by apparently smashing a firehydrant with an axe kick and using the water to douse himself with water and diving through the fire to punch the Wizard.
- A hoard of zombies were found in Oklahoma with every single skull broken in two. Also found were 5 umbrellas, a stop sign and a television set all destroyed.
Tai is still wandering and improving himself, but he's slightly goaless at the minute making him very slow in his movements.
