Powers & Abilities
I just like to watch you guys :] - These ghosts got some excellent creepin' abilities, man. Thing is - you can't see them unless they're willing themselves to be seen. Same goes for hearing and touching them - long story short, if Nora doesn't want you to know she's there, you likely won't.
You couldn't kill me if you tried D< - because she's already dead obvs. She actually can be physically harmed - for instance, you slice her throat open, she'll bleed. But she can't exactly die a second time - any physical damage done to her is healed within a matter of moments.
Can I have a dozen red roses pls? - While formerly, her spirit was bound to the house she died in, in this world Nora has a bit more freedom. As long as she's willing herself to be seen, there's little to distinguish her from a 'normal' person - she can interact with the physical world with few limitations.

Main/Important Equipment
nyet.
Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws...
AH DID NAHT HIT HER, IT IZ NAHT TROO - Nora can't really remember the events surrounding her death with much clarity - although there are times when she remembers more accurately than others, usually after being prompted with some reminder. But really, she's just kind of...spacey in general. Even for a ghost. She'll often become confused by her surroundings, especially now that she's able to leave her home, and doesn't always seem quite aware of who the people around her are even if she's met them before. But hey, if you took a bullet through the brain, bet you'd be a little dazed and confused too.
How dare hyou talk 2 meh like dat - Nora's a bit...haughty. To say the least. She comes from a wealthy, (previously) very respected family, and she does tend to look down on others a bit as a result. The most problematic aspect of this is her tendency to be...well, not only blunt, but fairly insulting and insensitive. She doesn't have a whole lot of patience for people, and she doesn't always realize when she's offending them - not the best way to make friends.
There is no baby - We told Nora that to make it interesting. :] No but seriously, her baby is...well. Let's not talk about where her baby is. Suffice to say, he's gone, she's still grieving, and as a result she'll...gravitate towards childrenrather aggressively.no srsly she may try to take your baby if you don't keep a close eye on her
The candles, the music, the sexy dress...what's going on here? - I mean, she's from the 1920's. And she hasn't exactly been out and about in the world since the time of her death, so...yes! Modern things are going to be more than a little confusing.
Physical Flaws...
I got the results of the test back... - I definitely have a bloody mess of an exit wound in the back of my head. Kiiind of singles her out as being, you know, dead. Strangely enough, though, many of the other ghosts bear no physical signs of their causes of deaths - so it may be possible that she could learn to hide this, if she was focused enough.
Don't touch me, motherfawker DDD< - As previously mentioned, when she's visible, Nora can be touched and harmed. While no permanent damage can be done, it severe wounds will stun her, and it takes a couple of moments for her to heal up - so if she's ever like, coming after you (what did you even do omg she's p. passive for a ghost) you might wanna try stabbing her in the face or something. nbd.
GET OUT OF MY LYFEE - In Nora's world, superstitious practices that supposedly get rid of ghosts (exorcisms, banishment spells, the use of salt and the like) are all little more than...well...superstitions, so most of those sorts of things won't work on her. The alternative solution, however, is surprisingly simple. She cannot ignore a very firm, deliberate command to leave someone alone (especially when told repeatedly to do so). Basically all you have to do is tell her to fuck off, and she has to listen - at least temporarily. Too bad this isn't more common knowledge! :]
Other Flaws...
ha ha ha, what a story mark

History....
[hyou should stahp here if you would like to avoid spoilers or disturbing content /taggin mah triggerz :] ]
Nora was born in 1897, in Los Angeles. As a member of an upper-class, very wealthy family, she married a similarly upper-class, wealthy man - Charles Montgomery. The two were at first very much in love. Charles was so devoted to Nora that he built her a house - the house that would later be the site of many deaths over the decades, and earn its ominous nickname 'The Murder House'.
But in Charles and Nora's time, it was just a house. A very large, beautiful house - and Nora simply adored it. Charles was a renowned surgeon who was initially able to support his wife quite nicely. Soon, however, he began to lose business - up until he all but gave up on his job, succumbed to his drug addiction, and spent most of his days locked up in the basement of his home. Nora grew more and more dissatisfied with what she considered 'incompetency' on her husband's part, and their marriage became strained. Nora frequently criticized Charles' new 'work' (which consisted of cutting up and stitching together animal parts in the basement; he'd developed a sort of Frankenstein Complex) with disgust and disdain. Eventually, she became fed up - they were falling behind on their bills, and slipping into serious financial trouble.
So Nora used her husband's newly developed 'hobby' to her advantage - she set up a back-alley abortion clinic in her own home, and for a time they were able to sustain themselves this way. Eventually, however, one of Charles' patients let slip to her boyfriend that she'd gotten an abortion, and things unraveled from there. In a vindictive rage, the man left Nora and Charles a rather ominous message: 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth'. Soon afterwards, they found their own infant son, Thaddeus, had gone missing.
Nora quickly became hysterical at her child's disappearance, and had the police search far and wide. Ultimately, however, it was discovered that the culprit had dismembered their baby - the remains were returned to the couple in literal jars.
Both Charles and Nora slipped into immense shock and grief at Thaddeus' death - but Charles, perhaps, took it the worst. Driven to madness, he took their son's remains into the basement and attempted to sew him back together and then revive him. His attempts were ultimately...well. I'm not sure whether you could call them successful. But he did recreate life, in a sense - but the creature he'd reanimated was no longer Thaddeus. Was no longer human. What Charles had created was a deformed monster, one that quickly developed a thirst for blood - as Nora herself discovered when it attacked her. In a horrified act of retaliation, she attempted to stab the creature to death with a letter opener. ..But, in her own words, it just wouldn't die.
Nora had been pushed to her breaking point. In grief, and horror, and despair, she shot her husband for what he'd done to their child - and then shot herself as well.
The house, however - or more precisely, the negative energy that accumulated there as a result of Charles' work, and then the deaths of him and his wife, bound their spirits to it, dooming them to haunt the place for eternity - the same way it did any person who died on the property for decades afterwards. To make matters worse, the creature survived - though they kept it trapped in the basement.
The spirits of Charles and Nora lived a long, rather miserable semi-existence, floating in and out of awareness about their circumstances. For years, Nora did little more than drown in her pain - unable to let the events of her past (when she could remember them) go, and unwilling to be an active presence in the house - doing little more than watching as family after family lost their lives in the house her husband had built. For some time, this was all her existence consisted of. And then, nearly a hundred years after her death, something caused her to...stir, so to speak: the sight of a child in danger.
When young Tate Langdon wandered into the house's basement, he was attacked and nearly killed by the demonic creature that had once been Thaddeus. But Nora intervened, frightening the creature away and teaching Tate how to protect himself from it. Afterward the two formed a strong bond, strengthened by Tate's disdain for his biological mother, Constance. When Tate was killed years later, he became one of the ghosts haunting the Murder House.
