Raccoon City... boy, did the media hound this place an awful lot or what? There was an outbreak of sorts back in 1998 and a particular mansion in the area was plagued by zombified creatures which a bravo team of "super cops" helped stop before it got even more out of hand. But that was a long time ago. Now, the city stands as a shell of its former self with a few zombie sightings every now and then. It isn't anything like it used to be and there aren't as many frightened citizens living in the area now as there once were. But because of the merging, not everyone who showed up in Raccoon City was normal anyway. One ended up traveling through a portal and ended up in this unlucky, broken down city...
His name was Sub-Zero. Raiden had gotten a hold of him at the Lin Kuei compound where he now resides as the Grandmaster of his clan. He was sent here to help fight off the evil that would most certainly present itself in a timely fashion. This Cryomancer had been forewarned about the villainous beings who resided in this realm and he knew what he had to do: find the good and stop the bad! It sounded cliche, almost too action movie-like, but this wasn't a movie, this was real life. Sub-Zero ended up being ported to the one city that was infested with monstrosities as far as the eye could see. But evil existed even in Outworld, especially Outworld, so this was nothing new to the ice ninja.
"Such a strange city... No one seems to even notice I'm here, odd..." Sub-Zero muttered to himself as an eerie moan could be heard a few steps behind him. Suddenly, the wild beast began to sprint toward him until the Cryomancer turned on his heel to face this monster. He parried out of its swiping reach and delivered a hard kick to its already bloodied knee, dropping it to one. Sub-Zero used the hiked up leg for leverage to run up its body and delivered a flipping kick to the beast's chin as he back-flipped onto his feet with grace. The creature's neck had just easily snapped but Sub-Zero watched in horror as it still arose to its shoeless feet, staggering toward him. His eyes grew wide as this reminded him of the Netherrealm.
Then, a couple more started to approach. They had the same emotionless gaze and battered bodies as this one had. Sub-Zero started to back up a little to give his hands a chance to "ice over", effectively becoming super-strong. The Cryomancer wasn't an expert on these things but knew they were zombies; that much was obvious. Their moaning and groaning agitated him to the point where he simply wanted to shut them up. "You were once human. You can be again, in spirit. I will send you to your permanent resting place!" he shouted, punching their lifeless bodies down. He rammed his icy cold fist through one's chest only to see that its heart was not beating at all. An eerie sight, even for someone like Sub-Zero!
But alas, they were no match for his speed and finesse. Sub-Zero had easily evaded their swipes, their claws and their teeth, using his strength to punch them out of his way. He even ripped one's head from its body, spine and all. Sub-Zero tossed it at his feet and stomped the creature's head in a violent motion, squishing it to make sure it had died. One attempted to be sneaky and grab him from behind but Sub-Zero quickly turned, locking both of its arms under his right arm, delivering a devastating headbutt. He followed with a spinning back-kick to knock the creature down. There had to be another way...
Just then, Sub-Zero caught sound of gunshots being fired. There seemed to be a struggle nearby! He would have to postpone these violent fiends for a brief period; but he would return! Below, a woman was fending off multiple zombies that were coming in hordes but there seemed to be no way out of the alley other than running straight through them. That would just be bad. Too big of a risk! In the blink of an eye, Sub-Zero had created an ice platform for which to travel and leapt down below to help this one remaining human - the first he'd come across yet! With focus, Sub-Zero concentrated the icy powers into his hands and basically fired a stream that encompassed the lot of them, freezing them solid all at once. He stood to his full height now, turning to greet whoever this loner seemed to be.
"So much for a proper greeting. I don't believe they will be bothering you anymore, mortal. But might I suggest a hasty retreat? More might be making their way over here,"
