Why Did You Choose Your Characters? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okies. Everyone picked their characters for a reason, whether it be a love for the character in general, a love for the fandom or something else. We want to know! Excalibur: Who wouldn't pick Excalibur? He's an annoying penguin creature who transforms into an all-powerful sword. That is made of win. Add that with the fact that Excalibur is technically a Great Old One (Such as FREAKING CTHULHU) you have an awesome char. Cale'anon: When Fail took Richard I was like "HMMM... LOOKING FOR GROUP, YOU SAY?" And I took Cale. I need more threads with him ;_; Pinhead: HORROR MOVIES FTW. Hellraiser has always been one of my favorite horror movies, mostly because of Pinhead. The guy is very awesome and powerful, WHICH SOME DNA-TYPE PEOPLE FAIL TO SEE. Asura: Moar Soul Eater Asura is the best Soul Eater villain, in my opinion. He was more powerful than Medua and Arachne, and the only one that was really a threat to Lord Death. Not to mention how CRAAAAAYZAY he is C: Soul: Soul was kind of a random decision. I wanted to try out a char I've never RP'd before, but one who I wouldn't fail abysmally at. So, I chose Soul. I think I've done well with him so far, even though I only have two posts :C Batman: ....Guys. Batman. Need I say more? Actually, yes! I've loved Batman since I was but a small Bawb at the age of 3 or something. Since then I've watched everything Batman related. Ever. Except the sucky stuff Ciel and Sebastian: Because Black Butler is win and so are these two. I decided to take them from Black Butler 2 because I'mma app Alois and Claude soon. Ciel and Seb are just my favorite chars from the anime, and getting a Grell really pushed me into apping them. I'm happy I did! XD

Though he goes unloved by most of the cast, Grell Sutcliff is a character that has a very rich story that was further developed after the release of the OVA "Tale of will the Reaper." I've both cosplayed, and role-played Ciel on different sites and at different places, but I began wanting to do something more. Ciel seems so easy to do, to me, and I wanted something more... thrilling. None of the other characters appealed to me, however. It was on a whim that I Googled Grell's catchphrase. Later that day I went up to my cousin (who cosplays Sebastian) and said to her, "Kore demo shinigami DESU☆!" She both laughed and ran screaming for her life. That's when I started delving into the character. Soon after that, I made the decision to try and cosplay as Grell. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do it. However, coscons are too rare for my tastes. Cliche to quote my character, maybe, but... "After all, I am an actress, and quite a good one at that." So, I started looking for Kuroshitsuji role-play sites that didn't have Grell already taken. Well, I didn't find any (fangirl Grells eeewww ). But, I did find this site; and I was able to choose anime here, and here I am! *Deadly Efficient Butler Pose*

Why? Well here's the shortlist.
Bridget:
I've loved this hyper little cutie since I first saw him in Guilty Gear X2 during my teens. Being a highly effeminate male myself his character just clicked with me causing me to relate to him and I attribute my love of the series to him alone. I ended up cosplaying him not so long ago and he is an absolute delight. Sadly he hasn't got many fans that aren't creepy fangirls. Male fans are almost non-existent due to his very nature. However, I feel his presence adds much needed comic relief to the story and feel he fits in here perfectly.
Venom:
I loved Venom's story in GG X, it's quite tragic how he loved this man with his entire heart and yet he went for some woman who later on killed him. I felt his subtle angst worked perfectly and loved the fact the man's an absolute gentleman yet not afraid to utterly destroy anything in his way. That and I needed a villain.
Haggar:
Ever since playing Final Fight as a kid did I love this guy. He's an old school badass who keeps the streets clean with his bare hands. Not to mention, he's the friggin' mayor of New York (Metro City in the Capcom canon) and later President of the United States, it's pure brilliance to have the guy here as we haven't had any politicians before.
Cody:
Another of my favs from the Capcom universe. Cody is great due to his tragic hero status. He saved the city, saved his girl but he couldn't save himself. Not to mention, he's a snarky asshole and really fun to RP due to his dickishness. (Is that a word? Whatever) He's also one of the few Final Fight characters to appear in Street Fighter.
Talbain:
I loved this guy in Darkstalkers and felt he worked well as a badass martial artist, hindered by his werewolf roots.

CURRENT OCs:Tomonari Niul: He was the first original character I ever made, and has changed drastically over the... about six years I've been roleplaying. Sure, it may seem rather addictive with how much I RP this kid, but in his current incarnation (and much less Mary Sue than originally, mind you ), I enjoy making him the comic relief at times. However, I also enjoy seeing how he'll react to different characters, despite his first reactions, and seeing how he develops over time, having a backstory that shows he still has his own faults to deal with, and not some whiney kid wanting attention. Galahad: OH MY GAWD WHERE TO BEGIN! I just really HAD to RP this little pup, and it's very fun having to act like a four year old more or less with him. The adorable just EXPLODES everywhere! *shot* FUTURE OCs:Ferghus Niul: Well for one, this is Tomo's godfather for crying out loud! He has a rather important part to play in the kid's life, even though he really isn't all that good with taking care of a kid (aside from getting money for bills and the like). He tried though, and things thankfully came out better than expected. The reason I made him a Leomon, besides the fact that he's one of my favorite digimon, well... I WANT TO KILL BANDAI FOR KILLING NEARLY EVERY SINGLE INCARNATION OF LEOMON IN THE DIGIMON FRANCHISE! /complete ragefest here. Sibald Cahal: Eh, besides being Tomo's grandfather, he's a really kickass old man. I RP him on the MMO Champions Online at times, and he's been really fun to use so far. 'Sides, even though he only partially wrestles... we do need other 'wrestler' characters on AM... okay, so I'm biased, sue me. lol POSSIBLE FUTURE CANON:Jenna Angel: One of the antagonists from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. For one, I do need a female character to RP as on here, the above mentioned being all male. Also, I needed to find a character that can be rather cruel, Angel being placed as the character that represents the 'Chaos' alignment for the Digital Devil Saga series. And goddamn her voice actor, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for having a friggin sexy voice! Aside from that, she has quite a bit of power, which I feel can help make her a real threat on AM.

Okay. I do apologize for the mini-essays I wrote on Anya and Ruby (t'is why I put them last, xD) I really tried to keep these short and sweet, but with those two I....got a little carried away. xDDD I don't think I realized going into this thread how much I had to say about them.
Glory I've personally always found Glory to be...a very interesting villain. She's a goddess. Literally. Her power is so greatly feared that mortals refuse to even speak her name, Buffy couldn't even touch her, and she could pretty much f*ck up the world something serious if she wanted to. ...But the thing is, she doesn't want to. She didn't have the "kill everyone raaawr" motivation that most of the Buffy villains had; in fact she could care less about the mortal world. She just wants to go home. Plain and simple. And she's willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her goal. ...That, and her insanity is downright disturbing at times. I love it >D.
Castiel Oh Cas <3. Do I even need to explain why I picked him? When I decided to take a Supernatural character, it was actually between him and Dean - I ended up going with Cas, though, because a) he's a freaking badass angel, b) I find him absolutely hilarious - his srsface, deadpan reaction to things and his social awkwardness are just too much xD, and c) AFTER WHAT THEY DID TO HIM ON THE SHOW SOMEONE NEEDS TO STILL BE DOING HIM JUSTICE. GRRRRR. ..okay i'm done.
Effie Trinket I'm actually...not quite sure why I picked Effie. After reading The Hunger Games series I knew I wanted to pick someone up from it... and she's such a pointless character; she really is. But the thing is...she's actually extremely fun to play. And most importantly, I felt like AM really needed a character who would be absolutely mortified by all the shenanigans that go on here. .....plus she has pink hair.
Sweet Basically, for teh lulz. I mean, who wouldn't wanna torture their characters by forcing them to burst into song and dance against their will? >D Hahh, also doesn't hurt that "Once More, With Feeling" is one of my absolute favorite BtVS episodes. And Sweet's one of my favorite villains from the series - he's really the only one who manages to completely screw up everyone's lives...and get away with it!
Also, listen to his theme song "What You Feel" once and it will be stuck in your head forever.
Ruby Due to the fact that she's pretty much a huge freakin' BITCH, Ruby's actually not too popular of a character in the Supernatural fandom - but I have to say, I've always loved her. She...actually might be one of my favorite villains, period. Because she's so much more complex than anyone realizes at first, and I'm seriously a sucker for complex characters. When she first comes onto the show, she's sorta just this snarky, demonic, untrustworthy secondary character who the Winchesters don't trust too much at first (though they eventually end up HAVING to trust her). In the next season, though, oh my god - you can just feel her spiraling into madness right along with Sam(though in a different way). She's so close to her goal she can practically taste it, and yet...she clearly has these 'feelings' for Sam that are confusing her. I'm not sure I'd call it love, it's probably more of an obsession - and then it's revealed that she's been playing him all along and it's so freaking delicious. And your initial reaction is "omfg you bitch!" ...and then, in her final scene, she starts trying to JUSTIFY herself. She really, truly believed she was...helping Sam. She thought what she was doing was right. And when she makes her last speech, this sort of horrific realization hits you of how freaking messed up Ruby is. I just...ugh. The writing on that show. Absolutely fantastic <3.
Anya So I think it's pretty universally agreed by anyone who's watched it all the way through, one of the main things that makes BtVS such a phenomenal show is the character development. And I've always found Anya's to be the most striking and thought-provoking character development in the entire Buffyverse. She starts out as this evil, manipulative demon with absolutely no regard for the people she hurts - and then, suddenly, she's human. There are so many angles to be played when you have a character who's really experiencing the human world and all of its whirlwind emotions for the first time in over a thousand years. Most of the time, this was used on the show to play up Anya as the comic relief. Which works for her, completely. The girl has some of the most hilarious lines on the show. But then, on a rare occasion, they'd show a much more poignant side to all of this that's undeniably moving - most notably when Anya is struggling to understand death after Buffy's mom dies (for reference, this scene is here). I think anyone who's ever lost someone close to them can absolutely relate to this scene. Death DOESN'T seem fair. It DOESN'T make sense. And seeing Anya break down and express all of this is so heartwrenchingly real. It was the moment I sort of did a double take and realized "whoa, this chick isn't just some random secondary character who's there for the lulz."
In the end, Anya isn't one of those cliche "bad guys learning to be good". She's a bad guy learning to be human - and there's a profound difference. One that I don't think has really been explored quite so beautifully in any fandom before.

Orignal chars
Jenna Morearu- Well lets see orginally i started with a demon/devil thing, and it honestly didn't feel right comfortable. Soo I decided since i liked Beast boy so much i would do a variation on him. However i based alot of her on multiple characters i've seen from various games and series, the top ones being Discworlds werewolf officer angura, Jeff "Joker" from Bioware's mass effect, and of course Beast boy from the teen titans. However i wanted to take a more unique twist on the character concept and made it slightly different in the sense she has to study the animals she wants to change into very closely before being able to change into them and she has to control their instincts much more than beast boy.
Charlie/Jericho- These two are an interesting pairing, i orignally created an idea for a diff forum where jericho was a ferice were creature able to use something he jury rigged together into a suit of powered armor. Anyways he was such a facinating idea that i decided to bring it here and thats that. Charlie came to me as an oddball mad scientist genius based a little off of Leonard of quirm from discworld. Except she has very few moral brakes when it comes to designing weapons.
Wreave- A bad ass giant lizard, race from Mass effect universe. I love krogan and i thought it would be awsome to bring one here for alien oddness.
Kazumi- Kaz is based on two of my absolutely favorite games as if they had been fused into one. She is based on Deus ex human revolutions main character Jensen, and Sucker punches electro hero Cole from infamous.
Cannon
Alucard- Alucard is friggen scary and awsome no other real reason even if its hard for me to post with him considering how horrific he truely is if you get later into the manga and anime.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Okay, lets go.
ROBOTNIK: I DUN KNOW. When I first joined up on here, I wanted a quirky and joke character with a mechnized background that no one would take seriously-- until it became apparent he was less a joke in his old background. I tried to do that with Robotnik...but instead he's freezing his ass off in Greenland while I use more interesting characters ;_;
KHARN: BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, BLOOOOD FOR THE BLOOOOOD GOD! Kharn is that sort of character that is less of a person and more of a wrecking ball. He is a force of destruction, not a real human being-- and among my sea of overpowered characters, he is the most OP (I MEAN) the most powerful. He has depth, hinted at, but forgotten by himself and those that surround him. He is nothing but battle, unable to be otherwise--and I love it. Chaos is one of the most fun and entertaining factions from Warhammer 40k and Kharn is the defining character of the entire damn thing. Despite being nothing but a killing machine, he does have signs of humanity on occasion, but what remains of it is so alien, he becomes thrice the oddity. He really is just an entertaining character to play, and when his plot comes up, hopefully to play with. His mind his warped for his own universe of immensly warped minds, he cares but for war, and is really descriptive and as mindless as the entire universe. Even if you people hate me for it.
LORD ELIPHAS THE INHERITOR: When I first made Kharn, I realized that while mindless slaughter was fun, with what I wanted to do with Chaos on this board required intelligence and destruction and only destruction was not a very good way to make friends and make a reasonable faction. So, I created Eliphas the Inheritor, my favorite Chaos Lord from the Dawn of War games. Eliphas is smooth, cunning, quite, intelligent, and above all, CALM. He is perhaps one of the best speakers we've seen in 40k, and is, unlike many of his chaotic coworkers, less brawn and more brains. Not to say he isn't brawn, and he can tango with high tier characters for a while, but his pursuits are mental, and thus, he rarely will.
LORD BALE&SINDRI MYR: Sindri and Bale...are very entertaining characters in Dawn of War. They work perfect as the hands of Eliphas, and are each competent in their own rights to be Chaos Commanders without being too powerful for the role. Each is able to give people a good fight and demonstrate that chaos is powerful without being too powerful themselves. And frankly, their relationship is just really. really. REALLY. Entertaining. SIIINDDRRIIIIII!!!
FRANCIS YORK MORGAN: York is one of my favorite Video Game characters of all time. He's quirky to the extreme, odd, seems almost like an alien sometimes and would fit in quite well in the world of Twin Peaks-- but he's also very much a complex character and a true human being, something that so many characters fail to accomplish. I truely can't deal him and Zach justice here, but while I play him here I can find him a true good guy that, while not a powerful character, is a fun one to play.
HAZAMA: AAAaaah! My favored character that I play! Hazama is crass, yet smooth, intelligent, yet mad, capable of such understanding but from such a warped perspective. Hazama is perhaps one of the most evil characters period, but really, I find it very hard to do anything but love him for it. I'd go into more detail but....well, you KNOW why I like him already-- He's the God of Trolls.
I HAVE MORE BUT THATS ALL FOR NOW.

It's a work in progress :B but here we goooo!
Canon SPIKE!
Jill -> At first it was because someone dropped her and I was like "Well if no one else takes her then I will." And so she wasn't taken which caused me to take her at first. However, I also love Jill Valentine C: ! It annoys the hell out of me how people portray her so terribly let alone draw her to look like a sex icon...and...in some RPs they make her a hoebag. All my freaking rage. Just. So. Much. Rage. Jill is an amazing and very fleshed out character who has an amazing moral compass when it comes to right and wrong. I'm glad I can have her here since she's usually taken on the not sucky sites allowing RE. I also took her up in hopes of doing great justice with her character C: here's to hoping! And....some fans ignore her hate for Wesker. That shiz is deep seeded...
Gizmo -> Dude! He's a smart & lovable dorky brat yelling out pseudo curse wods all while being a not so crappy friend. He's a prankster and a twerp, but there's more to him than people generally care to acknowledge. Under appreciated and absolutely fun. LONG LIVE THE EPIC MIDGET. I have plots for him so ho ho ho >3
Integra Hellsing -> I like my characters who have a lot of depth, yes I dooooo! There's more to being a badass for her and all the reasons why I was cool with taking her up for Kit are pretty much spoilers. In a nutshell though, she's a strong woman with burdens but handles them well. Not some angsty lady, but holds her head up and keeps moving forward. a very admirable character in my opinion.
Vriska Serket -> Like all of the characters I take up, she has a special place in my heart C: I don't like her just cause she's cool. I like her cause there's plenty of dimensions to her. Vriska is really unique seeing how her approach with things isn't just narrow minded. There are some seriously messed up things she's done and a lot of it is questionable. Thing is, she has a good reason for everything and at times does stuff that even she doesn't approve of but knows it has to be done. All in all,, a lot of the time she's helpful and others, destructive in a failed attempt to be helpful. Yet, she makes everything work out in her best interestwhich is usually to aid her friends at times. Another big reason why I brought her in was to cause conflict and help move things along. Yay Vriska! <3
Coop -> I marathoned Megas XLR and was like "....Coop would fit in here." And apped his super amazing self! There were fun plots and plans to be had...but a lot of them sunk. I'm hoping to post with him again, he's really fun and awesome. I can tell people don't like the idea of him being a delivery boy, but it's oddly fitting to his quirky self since he already does crazy things with Megas along with incredibly mundane! Kinda kept getting high hopes about his friends being apped but no one seems to take em' D: sad pandas...oh well I love Coop, he gives me happy nostalgia :3
Terra -> thing is...I love and hated Terra through the series then fell head over heels for her. She's not a typical hero and she's not a typical villain! It's not even the typical "I AM SO MISUNDERSTOOD. OH MAH GAHD NYEEEHHH." Thing goin' on. It's a psychologically complex mesh of things going on and she doesn't "B'AWWWWW" all the fracken time over her insecurities. Terra tries so hard to over come her problems and even encourages herself to kep going forward. She's a backstabber only because she wanted to help herself out and her friends too, it's kinda sad that things ended up the way they did in the show. However, after watching the series over and actually focusing on terra more, there was a chain reaction of events triggering her psychologically to cause the final result THEN as Slade hinted off, she didn't want to remember the terrible things she did ad suppressed them for a fresh start. Deep down, she's a sweet girl and people screw her up so badly on almost every single RP site that has her taken. It annoyed me to no end so I took her to bring her some serious justice.
Derpyderpydurderpyderpydurrrrr.......
I can be such a fracken whore when it comes to OCs!
Mitsuko Aoki/Bloodhound -> Mitsuko is just one of my characters who doesn't cease to amze me. She's brutal but peaceful all at the same time. It's a shame I don't get to RP her more....she's twisted and has a view point that has actually cause people to see a messed up form of logic in her lifestyle and view of the world. She's not hurting people for a turn on, she hurts them to help them see that feeling pain is a reminder of being alive and shoouldn't be neglected. In a way, she's quite heroic and will save people yet viewed as a villain. The weird thing is she's not the sort to pic a fight yet a lot of threads seem to die with her cause she's so docile despite being a sadomasochist. Incredibly logical and quite smart, she's interesting to say the least. She has the makings to be a leader cause she has the brains for it and is good with out smarting others. I really like having her on my roster... D: she's a crazy sweet heart since she takes the time to hear people out. Why I no use you more?!
Bao Yu Chao/Agent Piggyslinger -> Oddly enough, she started off as a gagtastic lulzy character. That and a character who was intended for poviding a fellow paranorma investigator who was all about facts and constantly made Dib feel like more of a misfortunate derp head on another site. That and a spoof on the mafia. However, she turned out being more than just a bitchy rival and more of an epic character I grew to love and appreciate more. I liked RPing her so much there that I brought her back to be on here. The more interactions she has the more developed she becomes. Plus, it's fun posting as her in social scenarios since it's occasionally awkward for her xD though sometimes can't help but wonder if she's difficult for people to post to... :? Blarg. Oh well, I enjoy her honey badger self and like how she's not a quitter even in the face of HORRIBLE danger. Turn those tables! Oh yes...and I like it when she somehow manages to make friends xD her confusion is fuuuuuun....
Agent Popsicle -> one of the many agents who work with Bao Yu and aid the government as well. I brought her to the site cause I really wanted more definite heroes on my list. She may not kill but if she gets pissed off enough she will fook yo shit up my good sir! Admittedly, I liked the idea of her being a slightly humorous character, but at the same time useful at something unlike some of the charcters I didn't bring here. That and the irony of being an alien yet not knowing it while hunting down other creatures including aliens in the process of actually believing she's just an abnormal metahuman was a neat obsticle. All in all, I really do love Popsicle cause she has a strong understanding of things despite sounding dumb a lot of the time and look forward to seeing how she develops here C: ! That and she's one of my characters with a more black and white sense of good & bad, right & wrong. All of my hero characters seem to turn out kinda gangsta, so I wanted something a little different and lovin' it. That and I like how she has a sensible level of grey while still being able to differenciate the black and white. Another fun thing is she rubs off as such a moron that when the gets serious, it's hilarious to see how wtf characters get when they realize a super soaker or squirt bottle means "RUN BITCH! RUUUUUUN" XD it's not gonna get old....
Mia/Project World Reflection -> Originally, I wanted to bring her on the old site to mess with people psychologicallly and fook their shiz up with difficult puzzles, scenarios, and even giving them moral decisions. A neutral android with a general sense of right and wrong while developing it via delving into other characters minds. That and a prime goal of creating ultimate cures which woul prove interesting. She has a lot of potential...but...generally ends up doing a whole lot of nothing these days or a background character. The background character thing is fine cause she is an assist type. Even though she has the potential to be either a damn good hero or an epic villain alll on her own, she is programmed to be depndant in a sense and thus more useful when teamed up. Plus...I gotta admit...it's fun having a crazy smart character who can't actually fight on her own xD it's a fun challenge.
Sphinx & Juju -> These two are a pair of my most classic characters from my chat RP days. I brought them over cause at the tim the site needed more active villains. That and I missed RPing them. They have a lot of potential and will be learning more and more as they progress here. Juju's an evil demon kitty mofo who is diabolical as hell...plus cute n' fluffeh most of the time. How is this not fun for me?! Plus Sphinx, she really does have a good heart but she's psycho...again...fun C: ! They tend to be on the backstabbby aspect, or at least it seems like it cause as get along withable they are, once it feels like bullying happens to em', it's easy to find out why they're villains. They look and seem like pushovers, but if you can't tell...I really like the blind siding under dogs who know and will fook yo shit up C: ! AND SPHINXEH IS SO CUTE!

Now it is time for BAWB to give giant takes-hours-to-write paragraphs! :'D Excalibur When I first watched the Excalibur episode of Soul Eater, I always thought that Excalibur's human form was going to be a knight or something equally heroic. Turns out that it was something completely different. What could be better than a small, obnoxious penguin thing who acts like a jackass to everyone? Not much. He's much fun for annoying characters. There's also the chance that someone might be able to deal with his obnoxiousness and become his weapon partner. That would make for some good plotting. There is also the fact that he's relatively easy to RP, which is always good for a first character.
Pinhead: Hellraiser is one of the best horror movies, in my opinion. The villain wasn't completely silent, like Jason and Michael Myers, but he didn't talk too much, like Freddy. He was also very intimidating, perhaps even more so than the likes of Jason and Freddy. I also like just how powerful he was. Sure, Freddy had incredible dream powers and such, but Pinhead was that powerful outside of his own dimension. He may be hard to RP, but I love every minute of it.
Soul Eater: As said before, Soul was sort of a snap decision. I wanted to test myself to see if I could RP a character who was kind of out of my comfort zone. He's a really complex character, if you look into it. Thankfully, he is easy to RP, so I can write posts for him pretty easily.

O.o oh man, I get to explain why I made this character
OK, so Ahriman/Jimmy started out life on another board with me trying to make a character I could relate to on the basis I ended up being comic relief by always making OCs who were the universe's butt monkeys. Always fitting into a group but also the one I dumped crap on because they were kinda 2D so I tried to make one less flat.
Of course then he ended up being the old Dr Jekyll trope which just made it a different kind of flate until I had this weird moment of wondering whether he was a human with a demon side or a demon with a human side. Eventually I cut back on the whole 'religious demon' thing and made it genetic but I still had fun with the idea so tweaked it now into what I call the 'Swamp Thing' paradox.
Since he's technically a monster who can happen to turn into a human, Jimmy's always walking this moral event horizon that I never really get with other characters I make. They always fall into hero or villain but the way Jimmy does the right thing, even if he wants to be heroic, is decidedly villainous. Stopping a bankrobber by slicing his arms off isn't heroic, and I always quite like that that's his go to thing, despite all his efforts in his heart of hearts he's both a genuinely good guy and an absolute misanthropic psycopath; kinda like the moral choices in some games, if your thinking your options are help the old lady or kill her and take her purse, then you're probably pretty evil just for thinking the second one's a viable option.
Also, probably because I'm a nerd, I like the transforming hero type in Japanese culture since it's always struck me as a good way to humanise them in ways Superman and Batman (both awesome western heroes) can't do, they don't get the same duality of a human form and a superhero form. I also took from this the idea that Jimmy's powers aren't unique, that injecting other people with the same cells he has can make them into creatures like him with the only difference being they start as humans and generally the demon form is a shift whereas for him the two are interchangable. I just quite like how he's not just fueled by but is an entire functioning part of this interdimensional evil lifeform that corrupts any living thing it touches while he's trying to be a good guy.
So, yeah, even if I want him to be a hero because of the very nature of the character I can't reasonably write him as one because every evil impulse and excessive force option is always present in his actions. I just kinda like that, trying to be a good guy even when the very core of who you are isn't.
o.o
Hows that for long winded?

Hola! Okay... I guess some people have been poking me to go over here. You want to know what goes on in my brain. You want to see the voice in the darkness... WELL TOO BAD YOU ONLY GET THIS INFORMATION! SURE I AM CRAZY BUT NOT CRAZY ENOUGH TO LET YOU INTO MY MOTHER #^&*ING THINK PAN!... ...
...
Let's just move on.
Jax Gardener: Good old Jax. He was originally created quite a while back for another rp. Just me and another person trying to start up this rp. It never got off the ground but the character stuck with me. A punk, vile langauge but despite being what would call a drain on society a good person beneath it all. I tried him in various rps but they all tended to die. Not just ones with powers in them. Heck even stuck him in a Harvest Moon RP. But it still died... Later on I had that same friend I first RPed him with come up with a cool idea for a power for him. I expanded upon it and in time he became Jax as we know him. I like him because he is in alot of ways opposite to me and through his life has been hard he never lets it beat him. I admire that about him. I picked him because i wanted a character I knew well in my head and was hoping he would last a long time on the site. I recently got told by someone that Jax has become one of the site's iconic characters so... I suppose it worked
Mister Jones: One of the characters from Jimmy's old site. One of my longest running characters. I wanted to come up with a partner for a friend who was also in the rp. He had come up with this pretty boy strong man type character. So I made a cranky old man veteren monster hunter who was more speed based despite his looks. It was this opposite kind of thing that was just awesome. I based his look on Roy from Solty Rei and put a bit of Vimes from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books in it and there was Jones. I picked him because I like those old men that take crud from no one. They are always interesting and the site didn't have one soo..... I picked him back up and dusted him off.
Mako: Originally made for another site for a one piece rp he was alot different on that site. I wanted a villian who was not a villian, a person who looked at the world differently. A monster who made no bones about what he was. The type who would walk up to you and TELL you he was a pirate. Who his very nature was etched on his flesh. The relationship with Bao just... happened. Niether Lex nor I saw it coming honestly. It just was a bonus.
Megaman Volnutt: I love megaman. One of my favorite video game characters, and the legend varient is my favorite amongst them. His kindness, naivity, his pure heroism so different then most was perfect for the site. I picked him... because he is megaman.
Breakdown: Ahhh teen titans. I love it so. I loved that cartoon but as I noticed all the titan characters on the site I noticed two things. One there was almost none of hte villians here.. and besides Jinx and Slade the ones that are on the show were... not good at what they did most of the time. I wanted to make a competant villian. One who had a different power. The name came first. Then the power right after. Slowly details filled in. His mission, his dress, his mode of travel. It came together and I had to bring him here.
There you go. My whole line up. More to come in time I bet.
