The Big Apple! The greatest city in the world and it... it...! Boy was Emily Rogers dog tired. She'd been wandering around for the better part of all day, since she got here on the bus at like 7 am, looking for work. Her uncle was nice enough to rent her a loft in his apartment building for peanuts, but... the dragon in her wondered why she didn't just sleep somewhere and spend her time flying around?
Again she reminded herself what she was like when she was hungry - a hungry dragon was an irritable one, and burritos, while cheepcheep, did cost something - and she wasn't a thief. No, she couldn't be a thief if she wanted to be a heroine. And she did. Alot. So, again, she begrudgingly accepted the majority vote.
It was getting late-ish - if she didn't find anything, she'd look for some trouble, get to know the town a bit... but for now, she had work to do, didn't she! She pushed open the door to the next stop of the day - so far, she'd gone to a shopping mall, all manner of grocery stores, she'd even gone to department stores and filled out applications... all for no result so far - her cheap-ass cellphone hadn't even twitched. Mentally, she decided that for now, this convenience store would be the last.
Cheap burrito-stink, glorious and warm, barricaded itself in her mind with a gun and a pack of sandwitches, ready to stay there until she gave in. The trays of veggies and meats behind the counter at one end of the store called to her, and the attendant gave her a big smile... but.. but...!
One burrito and an application, filled out with a bean stain signature later, Emily, unsatisfied but happier than she was, wandered out of the store just as an unmarked white van pulled up. She didn't think much about it at first.
She didn't really notice the masked men popping out of the doors - the three of them ignored her as she walked off, and made their way inside.
Emmie didn't even have time to wonder what to do next before the gunshots rang out, and the screams started. She felt the bottom drop out of her world as her heart sank and she spun around, eyes wide with shock. She stood there, stupefied for a moment, then... DURR! She looked around... there had to be someplace... didn't there? It was practically superheroic law that there had to be some place convenient to change!
Bugger.
Finding no such lucky concealed place, she tore off into a nearby alleyway, crisis bag bouncing on her back as she ran like she was on fire into the darkness.
Just as she dissapeared, the men burst out of the store, bags full of loot of the crap-and-cash variety, got into their van, and tore off just as the sirens started to bay the chase some distance off.
Emily tossed her crisis bag into a dumpster of convenience and watched the men peel out and drive away... she'd not have time to change into a proper outfit... so that was the shape of it? Her first time, and she'd have to do it in the full monty? Oh well... scales did the job just fine, after all. She forged into the alleyway's security of darkness - it was the backside of some establishment, closed off and secluded... and nobody was squatting here - not a bad place, not bad at all... So she doffed her clothes and bundled them up as she'd practiced, wrapping everything in her shirt as she shivered in the buff.
How did that go... oh. She shut her eyes and concentrated... it was but the work of a moment for the dragon to start asserting itself. God she felt cramped the last couple days on that damn bus.. it was time to stretch her wings out, get some exercise at long last! With a shudder, the aches started and her skin started to heat up, reddening and growing bumpy, like she was getting goosebumps... but these goosebumps quickly hardened as bones shifted, popping and groaning inside her as she clenched her teeth.
It helped if she didn't think too much while she did this... not thinking let her blank out the ache. Her hands lengthened, her face pushed forward, her feet changed as her ankles lengthened, shifting her weight forward as her arms met her weight halfway, and she stood on claws - claws, that still took some getting used to... she felt vitality and strength surge in her and she grinned with teeth that quickly grew and sharpened.
Wings and a tail sprouted from her back, eyes clenching tight as they started, but opened again when they were well on their way to full size. The transformation was almost complete... goosebumps hardened, grew, overtook smoothe skin to become stony, shimmering red and bronze scales, flooding down her shape from her head to her extremities, just as she grew longer... larger... her neck pushing out, her tail cresting with spines, red hair growing... redder as it sprouted down her neck like a horse's mane.
God she hoped she'd never have to be cooped up for so long any time soon. Slowly, as the world swam into focus, Ember's red-within-orange eyes, slitted like a cat's, darted around the alleyway... how different things looked now! But she had business to attend to... she didn't have time to explore her new home. With a bound, she tore off toward the entrance of the alley, claws scraping at stone as she found purchase in cracks.
By the time she crested the exit, she was already on the wing, giving one easy beat, sending dust and debris scattering away from her. She let out a screeching roar of feral joy, and picked up altitude as she let her wing dip to carry her in the direction she saw the van go.
It didn't take long... not long at all. As she flew high above the street line, she ignored the beautiful view of the city spread before her and focused her attention on the wildly swerving white van, chased at some distance by police cars... Would she need to interfere? Again, she asked herself - why was SHE doing this? Well... they'd stolen a lot from that store - and maybe shot people, too! She had to do something about jerkoffs like them... she was a heroine! It was her job! Her chosen profession and path!
Steeling herself, she dipped her head and let out another wild cry of joy, flaming for the simple pleasure of the fire dancing between her lips!
The dragon came down like a thunderbolt - she wasn't particularly big, but she had a terrible inevitability. To her surprise and the robbers' credit, their driver had the presence of mind to swerve when he saw her rush up at his driver's side mirror - objects are closer than they appear! Right!
Ember's claws scored deep notches in the street, but she beat her wings and regained her balance, tail swishing and rolling with her motion as she tried to catch up to him. The man was in a panic now - this wasn't something you saw every day, to say the least. She managed to get somewhat close, and butted her horned head against the back of the vehicle, making its tail end skip sideways. He sped up a bit, swerved sideways, and caught himself. Drat.
The Red-scaled dragoness cursed inwardly, and picked up a bit of altitude, then glided down at him again. He couldn't exactly see her angle of approach, so she managed to score that time, sinking her claws into the top of the vehicle and getting as good a grip as she could. She could hear the men panicking inside. She didn't expect them to fire at the roof, she didn't see it coming, so she let go in surprise when the bullets ricoched off her underbelly, stinging like beestings at her stomache and chest!
She swore, and it came out as a roar of anger. Gods she should have seen that coming! She wasn't hurt, she knew that... but...
BRIDGE!
She pulled sideways just in time to avoid a steel girder coming at breakneck speeds at her face. She looked back at it and roared at the offensive metal bar, and eyeballed the van. The bridge was a good defense, but he didn't seem to realize it - he was going as fast as he could in blind panic... all she'd have to do is wait for him to come out the other side... but...
AS the Van swerved, he hit another vehicle and sent it careening over the edge of the bridge, smashing through the railings like they were paper! Shit!
Without thinking, instinct took her, and Ember dipped her wings and dove at the falling car. She caught a glimpse of a teenage girl, probably sixteen or so, her face a mask of horror just before she grabbed the vehicle. The weight caught her off guard, and she faltered for a moment, but the car slowed as she beat her wings furiously, roaring out and flaming with the effort. The front bumper, smashed though it was, just barely touched the water, enough to make a ripple, before she bore it aloft again.
Muscles ached, but she was determined not to let go, shifting her grip and wrapping her tail around the vehicle... the bandit would have to wait!
Once the wheels touched down on a side road, and Ember was satisfied that the teen was safe out here - it was an old-folks neighborhood - Ember gathered herself up and took off again, a little winded... but that was something she had to do.
Her wings ached as he mind reeled... she carried a car! She'd actually carried a car! She caught a damn falling car! A CAR! In elation, she did a barrel roll and squeaked happily, then got back on task with a heavy wingbeat, picking up altitude... She had some robbers to catch...!

OK THIS WHOLE WEEK WAS WEIRD! Sure she made friends but it didn't eliminate how peculiar things were a few days ago seeing how she encountered a poptart kitten that farted rainbows and a couple interesting folks. FOR NOW she would cut her thoughts off on the subject before they got much further and wondered what to do now. Maybe something heroic....? Save someone, do a good deed....not trigger a natural disaster by COMPLETE accident....yeah that would be a really good idea! Holding onto the straps of her bag as she had her sky blue eyes fixated upward while walking along the sidewalk, she then closed her eyes and let out a huuuuuge sigh while slouching forward. Who was she kidding...it seemed like other people ALWAYS got the action rather than her and when she DID get some kind of action BAM it was just BAD.
So bad that she had to use a higher extent of her powers than usual and...it didn't usually end too well...the whole natural disasters issue and such. The girl who saw the world as her home figured that MAYBE if she made friends with some hero types and made a group together they could all work as a team thus lessen the extent of the powers she'd have to use for things like that since she'd have help! Er...a problem with that...maybe the biggest problem of all was how she wasn't sure how much she could trust people let alone how her powers weren't exactly a cake-walk to use. Besides she really didn't need or want to be looked down upon as a natural disaster with running shoes...she REALLY wanted to be a hero! Then there was the whole issue of how personal it was...couldn't just have everyone knowing about her powers having a little mind of their own at times! They could very well piece together a less than happy history! A really HEEEAAAAVY sigh passed her lips while continuing to walk along....no more like TRUDGING along, really.
Up until VOOOOOOOOOOSH! A gust of wind caused her hair to violently flutter and pushed that scrawny body of hers forward. Widening her eyes as though to quietly say `OH HOLY CRAP WHAT WAS THAT?!` looking up that's when she saw it...a flying dragon VOOSHing by. ....was it chasing after a vehicle?! OH BOY MAYBE SHE HAD TO STOP SOMETHING FROM GOING ON A RAMPAGE! Letting go of her backpack straps getting herself into hero mode by pulling the goggles down from the top of her head to over her eyes as though it was some kinda mask for a vigilante. In a way, they served a use aside from looking cool, which they did in her opinion, but also to keep little pebbles and annoying dust out of her eyes! A soft golden glow emitted from her gloved hands as she took a running start. Pointing her palms to the ground she stopped in place feeling the pavement crack around her feet.
"Don't lose control...you can do this, Terra!" Giving herself that small bit of a pep-talk before clenching her hands into fists and lightly lifting them up a bit, she narrowed her eyes and bent her knees slightly....first things first....catch up to the dragon monster! Bringing her hands up a bit than pulling them to her sides, she began to take off and flyyyyyyy with the rocks acting as though they were hover shoes or something awesome like that since without em' flying was impossible. Gaining momentum and speed while finding her center of gravity so she didn't fall by keeping her knees a bit bent and sliiiightly leaning forward. "HEY YOU! Think it's fair for a DRAGON to pick on normal people?! I don't!"
...always having to yell out something cool, tomboyish, and kinda heroic....it was just....kind of her thing.....IT WAS A SHAME SHE DIDN'T SEE THIS DRAGONNESS' HEROIC ANTICS OF SAVING PEOPLE OR SHE WOULDN'T JUMP TO STUPID CONCLUSIONS LIKE THIS!!!

Ember had just caught the scent again before she heard a nearby voice, about head-height and just off to the side say something along the lines of the classic all-purpose hail.
"HEY YOU!" followed by a hearty "Think it's fair for a DRAGON to pick on normal people?! I don't!". Ember looked at the girl standing on two rocks, flying, keeping up with her, and just... stared, wide-eyed and nonplussed as hell as only a dragon can look nonplussed.
She did manage a curious "K-kreeeh?" sort of sound, accompanied by a tilt of her head. Flying... rocks... girl... up... but... wh... What the hell?! "Scree!" she managed, and picked up the pace, looking forward again. She didn't want to be rude, but she HAD to catch this guy! The police would never catch up by now, and they were definately armed with automatic weaponry, trying and failing to indicate to the person flying next to her the car she'd just... oh hell, how would it be obvious now? She had no proof of doing anything but harassing a van!
Bugger. She gloomfaced, but didn't slow up - just pushed herself. She'd always wanted to know how fast she could go...vvvvvv

Kazumi sighed she felt better after managing to get some electricity back in her system. She was feeling less disoriented and more aware of her surroundings again. She walked through the streets towards the bridge where something was apparently happening.
She was surprised to see a dragon....."WHAT" she said aloud seeing the dragon and having her brain totally disbelieving what her eyes were seeing. Part of her brain said this isn't real your senses are still screwed up from your fight with slade.
Then her brain caught up with her thoughts, if she couldn't trust her own senses could she bloody well trust. She then watched with surprise as a girl with blonde hair levitating a rock. She was partly surprised by the slight earth tremor when she lifted up the rock.
She thought she was dreaming then she remembered that she was a living lighting bolt. She shrugged and began following the girl on the floating rock and the girl who was fling away. She ran like the blazes forcing the electricity in her body to help her muscles and reaction time as she ran doing her best to keep up with both people.
She wanted to help and possibly stop something bad from happening from either party. She ran all out as quickly as possible, something in the air told her there might be a serious misunderstanding going on.

From this tough tomboyish `GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT HERO STYLE` composure invading her face, she couldn't help but be taken a bit aback by this monsters response! Did it actually sound confused or something?! It ACTUALLY sounded confused as though it was innocent and being persecuted as guilty...did...did she make a mistake? Actually pausing in her geokinetic power induced flight frowning a bit as though she contemplated blurting out some kind of apology...but monsters normally have that thing called compassion! HEY WAS IT TRYING TO FOOL HER?! Pouting as though she felt a bit doofed, since when were dragons heroes anyway?! They were ALWAYS the bad guys who stole princesses and killed innocent knights!
Leaning forward she went back to charging after the dragonness before her glaring with a determination to suit and very well match her tone, "You can't fool me you living flame thrower! I'm gonna stop you from finding that princess in the other castle!" Pausing for a moment, she softly muttered a little add on of "...whenever I catch up to you anyway..." Leaning forward with her knees slightly bent doing what she could to not become a loose cannon with her powers...she lightly exhaled out a nerve wracked sigh to calm herself down from what she was about to pull. This stunt was FAR from easy and not what one may want to do if their powers weren't stable but she wasn't sure how hostile this creature was. It could be completely innocent and she'd have to apologize A LOT for this, or she was right and saving people.
Mistakes happened but risks were something she liked to avoid. Crouching down a bit and pointing her palms toward the rock before taking a heavy turn while lightly lifting her palm in the process. Gooooood...OH CRAP! "GUUWWWAAAH....!!!" Slightly flailing her arms as she lost a bit of balance, those sky blue optics shot wide open and she flailed a whole lot HOW EMBARRASSING! Gritting her teeth FREAKING THE HELL OUT on both the inside and outside...not...looking very heroic at the moment...she found a sense of balance when her body opted to flop a little forward. Leaning forward and going at a steady pace getting a bit closer to the dragon, she let out a sigh of sheer and utter `OH THANK WHATEVER ENTITY WANTS TO WATCH OVER ME` filled sigh born of relief.
Huh...wait...at the corner of her peripherals it seemed like something below was trying to follow on the ground. GAH! She didn't have time to be in awe or think that girl's speed was incredibly cool! Which it was, BUT SHE HAD A MONSTER TO CATCH! Cause again...since when are dragons heroes? The Earth manipulator certainly wasn't thinking that would change on today of all days! Quickly she turned her attention back to the creature she was pursuing all HEROIC-like! Oooh she was gonna totally catch up to her sooner or later...hopefully...

Ember had the scent... She KNEW she could catch up, KNEW she had to catch these men! But again, the girl was catching up now - once more, she could feel the filled space of her presence. The dragon again tipped her head in the girl's direction, and exhaled through her nose in a cloud of black smoke, irritated, but...
Then again...
She couldn't just attack her - that wouldn't be right. What was the "IMAHERO" thing to do? Slowly... so Terra could see her, she GRINNED, broadly - there was no mistaking the expression. It was time to stretch her wings a bit. The girl could keep up - she'd proven that, even with her flying as fast as she'd ever dared in her life as a dragon... She'd come to New York to test herself, to get stronger, didn't she?
A glint from below caught her eye. Aw crapstorm, another one? She had no idea who EITHER of them were - nor did she particularly care to be forced into engagement with either... so there was another option. The heroic option - Break engagement. It was time to see just how tenacious her pursuers were.
Tucking her wings and lifting her tail, she sailed over Terra's head in a - yes, a barrel roll! She ruffled Terra's hair by the wind of her long tail sailing over her head and dove hard, weaving into an alleyway, where she tapered off her descent and spread her wings as much as she dared, firing like a shot from the other end and curving onto the street over the police cars, giving a firm beat for more altitude, the dive having given her a burst of speed. The scent of the coinage and the fear of the robbers flooded her nostrils - she was on the trail again! Her heart sung with joy as she soared a hundred feet above the pavement below, shooting a glance back to see if Terra and Kasumi were keeping up - she hoped not... but it wouldn't particularly surprise her - Terra had the look of a serious heroine, and if She wouldn't have broken the chase herself, why should Terra?

Kazumi touched the implants on the side of her head and engaged her shades, she also focused on the Dragon girl. She used a system in her implants that was very similar to a mark. She kept running as fast as possible, it would seem she was doing parkor (free-running) as she moved.
Her movements were fluid, quick, and agile as she scrambled over cars, weaved through people and did her level best to keep up. She ran as fast as possible, her nerves sore from the increased stimulation from her muscles and electricity.
She Kept pushing her self though Saw the change in flight and slid down an alley way. As she turned she over exerted her muscles and leaped into the air by accident. She propelled her self 20 or so feet into the air. "WHAT THE HELL..." She screamed looking down and seeing how high she was. She looked in front of her in time to see a wall. She put her arms in front of her and grabbed onto a nearby drain pipe which she stuck onto.
"okkkkayyy." This is new, she thought to herself as she focused her mind back onto the task at hand scrambling up the pipe as she began trying to feel for the dragons electrical field. She saw it a flare of red and gold light, she turned and ran leaping over rooftops as if they were nothing to her.
"This is cool." She said then leapt again and fell short of a nearby building. She had a brief chibi moment as she suddenly started to plummet down towards the ground. She closed her eyes waiting for the splat, but nothing happened. She felt electrical curret on her feet it was revitalizing it eased the soreness in her muscles it felt good. She Opened her eyes to see she was on a powerline and she was skating on top of the wire.
She had another chibi moment, of flailing arms in the air as this new revelation hit her. "WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLL!!!!!!" She screamed then remebered she had to find the dragon girl, she forced her selft to travel down the power line towards her goal. "OK this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder." She said as she skated along the power lines occasionally getting flung high into the air when ever they connected to another post only to fall onto the wire and continue her progress skating along it.

YES! She was catching up and not falling to her doom! IT WAS SO WONDERFULLY AMAZING! Maybe she could get pizza after all this and slam down an apple pie?! Grinning to herself at the thought of stuffing her face with delicious food, that biiiiiiiig smile was short lived as she straightened her smirk while quirking her brows almost having this `ORLY` look on her face. This dragon was SMILING at her...? NOT. NORMAL! Not normal at all!
Gulping down a hot serving of air and OH GAWDS I'M A BIT FREAKED OUT hoping that wasn't going to follow up in being this things dinner! It was quite nerve wracking making eye contact and zipping on by. Just kinda looking baffled with a slightly wide eyed look on her face. Blinking a couple of times, she shook her head and remembered OH RIGHT! TIME TO APPREHEND THE BIG BAD DRAGON! THOUGH....right before she was about to pop open a can off butt-whoop...she...totally got BARREL ROLL'd over and felt her body shake into a subtle shudder upon the hair ruffleness which made her feel PLENTY like a bird! Looking down to the electrical rider below since she caught YET another glance of her, she was beginning to think she too was after the dragon.
Reaching up and pat patting her hair down while smoothing it out a bit here and there to make it look a little less stupid, she continued in her pursuit trying to keep up again all while not letting her powers get a mind of their own. Earth had life to it, she simply used her powers to give it a different sense of life and...BAM it was her duty to keep it under control rather than letting it control her. Nothing but bad and horrible things came outta that! "HEY! YOU! OTHER BLONDE GIRL! ARE YOU AFTER THIS MONSTER TOO?!" Yelling down in a casually tomboyish tone, she continued trying to maintain and gradually up her speed and adjusting altitude so she could not only make sure she didn't fall...BUT also so hearing the other girl wouldn't be a total pain in the butt! Almost seemed like the scaley creature was after something...but what was the HUUUUGE question bogging on her mind.
Thing is normally she'd ask but this thing wasn't trying to talk to her or anything...as if dragons could talk anyway....hur hur hur....! Regaining her heroicish serious down to business composure she kept on flying using that rock keeping her attention on the BIG FLYING LIZARD.

To be honest i don't know i think she's actually not a monster and you may have the wrong person. Kaz shouted up to terra as she flew along the electronic wires. She had to admit this was the way to travel. Her legs seemed to radiate raw electricity that was forming a sort of barrier around her feet as she surfed along the wires.
I can't explain why its a feeling i've got. She added as she continued to surf along the wires her legs no longer sore from the hard running she had done in the street.
Though that brought an interesting series of questions into her own head. Why was she chasing this girl, was it because she had been a sort of cop. Cops chase people guilty people run, normally people shouldn't run from cops that assumes guilt. Granted she knew she didn't have any proof to this feeling that this whole matter was a huge misunderstanding but it was a nagging feeling that wouldn't go away kind of like a flea bite you know its there and can feel it but you can't see it.
If you catch up before me be careful there's more to this than either of us is seeing. She said hopping to what ever god was in heaven that her hunch was right otherwise they both could be in trouble. However deep down that was a risk she felt was worth taking. She felt a warm satisfied glow from her body as she was using her powers. She ignored the situation and kept moving along the powerline trying to follow the dragons best as she could.

Ember chanced another look back toward her pursuers, and frowned widely - she WASN'T losing them! She stared at the two - they were coordinating now, she was almost sure of that much, and the dragon in her heart fluttered - but she couldn't lose the Van, couldn't let those men get away from her and with what they'd done. The way they'd left, they'd almost certainly killed somebody... and that was unacceptable.
She looked forward again.
WALL!
and screeched as she tried hard to gain altitude, managing one solid beat of her wings before the building was right in her face. Defensively, Ember thrust her claws out and pulled downward on the bricks, beating her wings again for good measure, the burst of speed and downward thrust causing her to only scrape herself a little on the brickwork instead of the full-on collision she'd originally saw in her bright, brick-filled future!
It hurt, and sparks flew, and maybe a window broke, but she righted herself above the building line and panted in averted terror's relief and the discomfort of the new scratches down the front of her bellyscales.
Bugger. Bloody bugger. They'd heal in a couple hours, sure, but... that didn't matter NOW - they hurt like a BUGGER right now! Bugger bugger bugger! She stowed the frustration with herself so she could do something useful with it later... and dove into street level again. She was catching up with the van.
Maybe her inadvertent maneuver had given them trouble in following her? She could only hope so - probably not. She hadn't been getting away from them - just holding rank just ahead of them... now? She didn't dare look back. She had criminals to catch up to.
Steeling herself, she examined the horizon and took a deep draw of the night air, scales glistening in the rising moonlight. She just saw the tail of the white van slip sideways and go down a sidestreet. The dragoness steeled herself... and BEAT - again and again, while dipping herself slightly - gaining no altitude but pushing her limits of speed.
She reached where they'd gone quite quickly, and, using her tail and head for drag on her body proper, she drifted midair through the corner - and scraped her wing on the opposite building a bit, sparks flying madly.

Glaring at the dragonness as she was one of two people who had a frown directed at her, the earth manipulating blonde frowned RIGHT BACK but added a bit of a `Ooooo I'm gonna get you just you wait!` sort of glare as she continued soaring along after her. Though she couldn't help but hear out the electrical skater below....why in the WORLD did she think this thing wasn't a monster?! "Are we both LOOKING at the same THING here?! Your powers and outfit are really cool but I think you might n-" Hearing the loud wall avoiding VOOOOOOOSH up ahead, she quickly noticed the wall and couldn't help but screech out, "WALL!!!" Crouching down and grasping onto the large rock she was using, squinting her eyes and gritting her teeth OH GEEZE!
THIS WAS BAAAAAAAAAD! Pushing down and following the dragonness' lead her eyes shot wide open as she felt gravity say HELLO THERE to her body feeling it lift off and... "GAH! NONONONONO!" Clinging onto the massive rock, she stopped looking heroic for a while as she screamed due to the rock spinning out of control trying to find its center of gravity again. ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND SHE WENT! Like a brown blur merry-go-round complete with a blonde racer stripe she SPUN like crazy...maaaan oh man did she feel like she was gonna barf up her lunch! Once it FINALLY stopped, she desperately crawled onto the flat surface...gradually floating after the dragon lady with one hand clapped tightly over her mouth feeling dizzy as ever.
Everything was spinning...so...much....it was like everything was....dancing...GAH! Though everything was going spinny spin spin she HAD TO hurry up! Oh no she was talking to the girl earlier right? BUT WAIT! She was so far behind now! Standing up to her feet, flailing her arms a bit feeling like one of the WORST heroes in history, she was gonna totally change that and redeem herself! The glow emitting around her hands brightened as she clenched her hands into fists and thrust her hands forward making it go VOOOOOOOOOOSH forward.
Slowly but surely, things were FINALLY getting back to normal but she couldn't just chill there and WAIT for a full recovery! Closing her eyes and shaking her head in the process of flying to `shake things back to normal`. It seemed like she was JUUUUUST about to get back to her previous spot...but for now she was lagging a bit behind. But...hold up...was that a van that the dragon was chasing? This DEFINITELY made her frown a whole lot in confusion wondering what was up with the van...it....looked like she was trying to catch it. Ooooh...was...the dragon girl trying to catch it cause the people in the van did something BAD? Oh boy was she going to feel STUPID if that was the case!
Yet...it'd be a relief cause fighting monsters was SUCH a pain in the butt! Oh well! Time to keep up with this catch up game and find out what's up!

"if your talking about the...........OHHH CRAP..........." Kazumi stared as she was suddenly diverted a different direction along the path ways of power lines. IF terra were to look back there might be a dotted outline where kazumi had been just 2 seconds ago.
"OHHH COME ON........." She yelled as she went to the left and down another street perpendicular to the dragon and the flying rock girls path. She sighed as she suddenly jumped off the wire and fell about 30 feet onto the ground. She landed on her legs than rolled forward, into an elegant standing position.
"Great just great." She said to herself.
"nice..." She began running back the way she came heading to the best of her ability towards the place she had been diverted away from the chase. As she ran she began cursing to herself in anger using some from other languages she knew.
She kept running along flustered at the fact she had managed to get turned around. She ran along the street till she came to the spot and she lept up onto the building she began climbing with relative ease, her hands seemed to stick to anything metal preventing her from falling or being blown off. She climbed up wasting about a minute or so clambering up the building.
She panted a little bit as she looked down the street and saw with some relief the broken windows, scrapped bricks and a very obvious trail. "Well at least she isn't hard to track." she said to herself as she dove off the roof top onto the ground to resume the chase.

Ember didn't dare to pass another glance backward - it was a bad idea, she tended to ALMOST HIT THINGS when she looked backward. Bugger. But it would have brightened her day a tiny bit to know she'd put some distance between herself and her pursuers. Now to do her own pursuing! She was roughly a quarter from the next hard turn heading for the waterfront, and the white van that reeked of terrified men and money, like a streak of yellow and silver in the night, was halfway to that intersection.
Ember stifled a little cry and beat her wings hard, grunting with effort - she was getting tired, dragons weren't meant to fly like this... and this was definitely the hardest she'd ever had to fly before in her life. Just the same, this brought her into crystal clarity in the world, Dipping, she dove and skimmed about... oh, maybe twelve feet above the street for a bit before finally catching up with the white vehicle as it bobbed in and out of traffic. Her claws gripped either side of the vehicle and YANKED it sideways. People already had the sense to get the FRACK out of the way of that van - moving A BIT FURTHER away from a dragon attacking it, in new york, probably should have been second nature for how quickly they reacted and started to run away, piling out of their cars and heading for the hills. Good sense, those people.
The van capsized like a stricken cow, flopping to its side and skidding along, its full speeding momentum carrying it careening into a lightpost and a brick wall sideways, where it bounced but once then rested in that position. Ember rumbled, and pushed herself inward. The flying was done... now she just had the delicate work of dealing with little crunchy humans with guns and terror.
One or two street chases had taught her rather efficiently that chasing as a dragon was bothersome. No, this required something else. Bones creaking and scales shifting along one another as she shrank, she took maybe... oh, thirty seconds to change into her hybrid form?
She was a lot bigger just after a full dragon transformation than she would be if she became a hybrid from human form, she noticed... but in this case, that might be of use. Her head of brilliantly rose-red hair whipped behind her in the seaport wind as she stood, crimson and bronze scales glistening in the light. Wings folded almost like a cape, foreclaws linking like clasps as a mighty tail swept behind her. There was no need for a super outfit - her vibrant scales more than accomplished the neccesary modesty actions. She was... sleek, muscular - a dragon-human, what else could be said?
Striding purposefully towards the van she capsized, a man climbing out had just enough time to get an eyeful of her before being grabbed and tossed, almost casually, into a lamp post, his head bouncing off it with a PING - not hard enough to crush his skull or anything - just... give him sweet darkness and a really bad headache, perhaps a concussion. Ha. Served the bastard right. Her claws sank into the metal of the back door and...

Terra could see she had a bit of a way to go and could only hope she was going to catch up to the beast! Narrowing her eyes and licking her lips into a grin with her tongue sticking out a bit at the corner of her mouth, she leaned forward and continued to go VOOOOOOOOOSH occasionally swaying the lower portion of her body to make sure the wind didn't mess up her rock's pathway. It had a way of doing that, stupid wind! In a way, she was surfing the air which, in her opinion, was pretty friggin' cool and it was AWESOME having these powers when they weren't...you know...acting up and making a volcano out of a molehill! Seemed like even the electrical surfer she was talking to earlier was catching up by the time she could spare a small little glance. Pretty impressive! So impressive that she hoped to get a word in with her later and see if they could be hero buddies!
Though turning to look ahead gave her one hell of an interesting sight to behold....the citizens where panicking and making a huge mess of the road. Oooooh geeze! That silly little grin of hers twisted into a frown and stuck her now kinda dried tongue into her mouth. Boy oh boy....this was a big mess....and it was all the dragon girl's fault! Huffing out a small bit of anger, she tried to keep electro-blonde's words in mind and wondered if maybe it was that van the dragon was pursing to blame instead. Something was up and she was going to find out what or at least TRY to figure it all out! Though from her spot in the distance she noticed a transformation soon after some SERIOUS wreckage...a....dragon girl?!
OH WHAT THE FLIPPER DOODLES! That was SO COOL! Wait! NO! Well...kinda...ok really cool but what if she was a bad guy?! OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS ON A CRACKER! Her sky blue eyes shot open and if people could see the ultimate chibi universe somewhere out there in the world, they'd see her looking super shocked as though to say `OH MY GOSH!` with the look on her face amplified by ADORABLE chibified features! Shaking her head to get a serious face back on after witnessing the dragon lady bonk a human on the head after pulling him out.
"Hey! Pick on someone that can actually stand up to you!" Jumping off the rock while snapping out those words all tomboyishly heroic-like, the scrawny blonde braced herself for a landing on her feet crouching down a bit before straightening up. Bringing her hand up coated by a bright golden glow....her mini bit of banter continued, "LIKE ME!" Letting out a strained grunt, she swung her hand forward so that the biiiig rock she was riding would fire itself at the dragon girl hybrid. ....uh...no...no she didn't think about how it may very well crash into the van instead at this time....which could very well happen if the hybrid moved away in time.

"Hey! Pick on someone that can actually stand up to you!" a voice came from behind her, and Ember perked an ear a little, casting a look over her shoulder and letting go of the door as she did. The rock-girl caught up again, jumping down from her stone and looking... most definitely heroic in the process! In that little chibi universe a'previously mentioned, a dragongirl with undersized wings was all O.O;;; like, complete with massive sweatdrop.
"LIKE ME!" the scrawny one cried, and launched the stone she'd been riding at her! Stone? That was a small boulder! Ember considered several things - a draconic mind had certain advantages... One one hand, she could smash it! But... part of her rebelled - what would happen when a bunch of rocks exploded in every direction? Hit people - maybe kill them. What if she dodged? The rock would smash the van, and they might get killed. That... that wouldn't be right either. Could she block it? No, too big. It'd... REALLY give her a bad day if she just took the hit. So...
... Catch it? Oh dear...
Ember turned to the woman and the oncoming stone, by now quite close to her, and lifted her hands, bracing herself, claws sinking into the pavement like knives into meat. Her hands raised, a grimace on her face, and... WHAM!
Pavement tore, muscles yelped in surprise, and she skidded until her back was against the van, the rock still pushing against her with the endings of its powered inertia, driving her INTO the metal of the van, wings distended forward and aching unpleasantly... but she pushed, gripping, sinking her claws into the stone, and tossed it to the ground, looking miffed and a bit scuffed. A local heroine? She'd do well not to lose her temper, even if she wanted to yell foul!
Pulling a lock of her red hair behind her eye, she leveled her bright orange gaze on the blonde, calming herself by force. This needed finesse - only villains attack heroes, well known fact.
"No, you don't understand - I'm not...!" she waved her hands placatingly and pointed at the van "I'm just-!"
Using the moment, two men, fresh from the van, clad in ski masks and dark leather clothes were legging it off at some speed in zigzags of injury, one helping the other along. Ember's ear flicked and she broke attention from Terra. "WAH! Heck no!" she cried, and started after them. "You have the right to SIT DOWN BEFORE I CRACK YOU ONE!" she bellowed as she charged them, only encouraging them to pick it up a notch.
