“Sir? We have confirmed our current position based on temporal analysis and geostationary structures in the surrounding area. It appears that we are in New York City some time between the twenty second century and the twenty fourth century. Yet there must be some damage to the sensors as we are picking up a large number of spatial and supernal anomalies scattered through out the city. We also check the Paradox containment cores. Out of the twenty seven cores only seven are full. We await your orders.”
As the Woman Who Watched absorbed the details of there current dilemma she tried to recall the event that had lead them to this place. Of how the Neverwhere winked out of existence from the realm of existence that she had fought to protect for such a long time. She remembered with perfect clarity as the Neverwhere was making its way towards a distress signal that would turn out to be a perfect trap set up by those that she had once hunted with such fever and vigour. She remembered as several enemy ship descended on her. Of how not only the magical battle that she held against the several mages on-board those ships but how the fight of there machines. She remembered the feeling of dread as slowly they began to seal off her escape routes an access to the supernal magic. She remembered her last act against them.
“I want full reports within the hour regarding all anomalies. I also need damage reports. Deploy the Wolves and Marionettes to secure the immediate area. Also I need a full scan for abyssal intrusions.“ ordered the Woman Who Watched as she stood up out of her command chair on the Bridge of the Neverwhere. She walked towards an observation window to look out into the surrounding area. It was immediately obvious that her arrival would not go undisturbed as directly above the Neverwhere was the an Aurora. Yet as she looked out she viewed the city. One that she knew well in her past. She had watched it grow and flourish. She had also watched it die at her own hands. She knew something was wrong. The unseen sense bristled, something was coming an she would meet it.
“Check the Vamps I need to know if this is the sun they were embraced under.” she order as she moved towards the express elevator to the mobile platform at the top of the ship. Once there she stop watching. A vanguard to those that she protects, to those that obey an serve her.

Aliens.
This was the only explanation Anya could think of: aliens had landed in New York City. How else did you explain a giant...plane...thing that had made a crash landing right in the middle of the park? Most of the immediate onlookers seemed to have decided to flee the scene, save for a few lingering idiots snapping shots with their cameras. Right. Because THAT was a good idea. Casually wandering up behind one of the self-designated paparazzi, the demon cleared her throat and leaned in close to his shoulder. "Hi." she greeted briefly, prompting the man to cast her a brief glance. Anya met his gaze with a pleasant smile. "So there are several ways I'm thinking this situation could play out. ..Would you like to be abducted? Probed, maybe? No? Shot at? Fried by lasers? Mauled by vicious man-eating extraterrestrials?"
The man lowered his camera with a sort of incredulous look, shaking his head at the crazy woman beside him. Her perfectly cheery, polite smile still in place, Anya reached forward to take the camera out of his hands...and promptly crushed thing in her hand as if it were some old soda can. Tossing the smoldering remains into a nearby trash can (was that even safe? Oh, who cared), Anya turned back to the man. "Then you should probably leave. You know, just to be safe?" She widened her smile ever so slightly and watched as the man stumbled backward, looked from her to the ship and back again, then turned tail and fled. Satisfied (humans could be reasonable sometimes!), the vengeance demon turned back to the spectacle before her and tried to figure out how to best...approach this situation.
She could deal with demons. Vampires. Werewolves, witches, ghosts, ghouls, shapeshifters, any of the many assorted creatures running the earth - she knew plenty about those. But when it came to this...otherworldly stuff, well...Anya wasn't even really sure how to begin.
In the end, though? She came up with pret-ty foolproof plan: walk right up to the ship, start some rambling attempt to make contact, and see if these people (or whatever they were) spoke English....or one of the several hundred other languages Anya happened to speak. Seemed like a decent enough plan to her! Making her way towards the scene, the vengeance demon paused a good seven or eight yards away from the base of the ship itself and, tipping her head back, looked up at the top. There seemed to be a...woman standing up on some sort of platform up there? Anya couldn't make out her features too clearly from this position, but she actually looked sort of...human. Briefly, Anya considered attempting levitation - but she hadn't tapped into that ability since she'd...actually been evil, and somehow she didn't get the feeling it'd end well.
So she just went with a smile, a wave, and a call of "Hii-iii! Welcome to New York! Please check your people-killing weapons at the door, and, um...wanna come down so we can talk?"

As she considered her options, she watched as people started to move towards the crash site. She was aware that in a few short moments a flood of people would be here. Yet the presence of Police and Paparazzi were going to be the most problematic if only for a few short moments. So many factors and projections flashed through her mind as she awaited on all the data to be gathered to solve the dilemma they were in. Though she knew that she had to protect her crew.
“Commander Dron, extend the ward field projector by zero point three eight percent an implement the kappa crystal alignment.” said the woman who watched. She recognised her current location. It was a place that had meant a lot to her at one point. Liberty State Park, it was a twist of Fate that she landed here. The place she had first meet her husband almost five hundred years prior in her own time line.
“Sir, several supernal entities are making there way towards our position.” At the sound of one of her officers informing her of the current situation. A small holographic display appeared on the underside of her wrist with the sensor scans. As she watched the nearest one approached. She began to pull out a small silver laden case from its pouch. As she opened the case it revealed an Obsidian Mirror that absorbed all light. Carefully she held it over one eye. With a practised ease focused one eye on the mirror and one to the scenery around her.
As she focused on what she desired to see, the Obsidian Mirror slowly clouded over before clearing an revealing a young looking woman that was harassing a man with a camera. She then displayed some hidden strength as the camera crumpled with the barest ease in her hand.
“Now what are you my dear...an esper?, possibly a slasher? Or you could be a werebeast? Yet you make your way here with a confidence that regardless of situation you believe you could prevail.” She mumbled to herself as she continued to watch as she got closer. With a subtle laugh to herself she lowered the Obsidian Mirror an placed it back in its pouch. “Regardless, you will be giving me the data you hold on this place.” She whispered to herself as she checked her shielding spells.
It was then that the girl stood an started to shout something inaudible due to the wards that had extended over the area. At that point several marionettes appeared at the perimeter. They stood eight feet tall and covered in the latest Krytech armour making them look extremely robotic in nature. An yet they stood menacingly with there over exaggerated limbs.
Deciding it would be best to meet this entity rather than one of the other prepared actions she could make. Her eyes shimmered as she appeared a few steps away from the girl. Slowly and carefully she started to walk towards her. Flooding the area with a sense of calming, soothing aura to quell the noisy minds around. With her other spells ready to use she stood in front of the girl just past the limits of the Ward.
“Sorry, I couldn't hear you from up there. Mind repeating it?” she said with her hypnotic British accent.

Uh...whoa.
Now Anya wasn't senseless enough to go strolling up to a massive, otherworldly ship (that could possibly belong to aliens!) without preparing herself for...well, just about anything. But the appearance of several mechanical...beings? She wasn't sure what else to call them, so she'd just go with that...anyway, their sudden appearance made the demon tense considerably, ready to dart out of the way should the tall robotic things make some sort of aggressive move towards her. As it happened, however, they did not. They just sort of...stood there ominously, offering no reply to acknowledgment, really, other than just towering over her.
But fear was not an instinctive response in any vengeance demon let alone Anya (well, unless bunnies were involved), and after a moment of consideration she took a curious step towards the beings - and that was when the woman she'd spotted before, at ground level now, approached her.
Whipping around to face her, the blonde quirked an eyebrow. At this distance, the woman seemed even more distinctly human, and less...alien-esque. Of course, Anya herself was living proof that appearances could be quite deceiving, so she didn't think it was safe to jump to any conclusions just yet. At any rate, this woman didn't seem hostile at the moment (and hopefully things would stay that way), the demon relaxed into a still-cautious, yet friendlier stance. A careful smile crossed her lips at the stranger's words, "Oh, I was just asking whether or not you'd like to come down and chat for awhile - but, um, here you are, so never mind!" A quiet, slightly nervous laugh escaped her as she finished, though really she was more curious than wary at this point - but you could never be too careful.
In the pause that followed, Anya cleared her throat slightly before speaking again. One thing the vengeance demon wasn't, after all, was shy. Even when faced with a potentially dangerous otherworldly entity. "I'm...just going to go ahead and assume you're not from around here. So welcome to New York, I guess!" It felt sort of weird, welcoming someone to New York. Especially when it was completely possible that the name meant anything to this woman at all - what was to say that she was even from this dimension? At this point, just about anything was possible. Anything could happen, and it was all Anya could do to hope that she wasn't getting in too far over her head here.
First things first, however. There was one thing they did need to cover before carrying on this pleasant little conversation. "You aren't planning on. Uh. How do I put this?" Her light brown gaze darted to the robotic creatures and back. "...Leading some sort of massive attack on the city that could potentially result in millions of innocent civilian deaths?" Okay, sure. That had been blunt. But what else was new? Anya really didn't see the point in doing anything but jumping straight to the point - beating around the bush didn't really do anything except waste time. "I'm just...you know, making sure. You can never be too careful these days."
