"Ahh. Sweet, sweet freedom." The demon gave a pleased grin, his suit changing its color to a bright, gleaming blue in a flash. It felt so good to be visiting the upper worlds again - his only regret was that Sunnydale no longer seemed to be in existence. How...fun it would have been to pay the slayer a visit again. But, what could you do! This city was certainly large enough, not to mention populated enough, to ensure that passing through here would make for one hell of a good time! ...No pun intended...
Sweet was, in all truth....probably a walking magnet for anything and anyone who liked to involve themselves in the paranormal. He was a demon, of course - and not one of those demons who could blend into society, if they so chose to. Well, actually, given the nature of his reality-bending abilities, Sweet probably could have conjured up a human disguise - but that just wasn't his style. His appearance almost devil-esque, his eyes gleaming a mischievous bright blue, Sweet strolled down the pathway he'd chosen that evening. Well...perhaps 'strolled' was a tame word, because the way the demon moved could almost be described as dancing, his frame silhouetted in the setting sun. And the fun hadn't even begun yet. Tonight, Central Park was going to come alive...with song!
In a single leap, he'd landed himself on the rain of the bridge that stretched out over a pond before him, keeping perfect balance (and..defying physics) as he slid up the rail, reached the middle, and gazed out over the park with a ghoulish smile. At this time of evening, this place was definitely less crowded than it was during broad daylight - but it hadn't yet completely cleared out for the night. There were just enough people around to allow for the little 'test run' Sweet had planned. And who knew? Maybe his presence here tonight would bring out a bit of hidden talent! Maybe some of these folks would even make it to Broadway (Sweet did love Broadway!) ...if they survived that long, of course. There was always that little detail to worry about. Not that it wasn't always a laugh to watch a person dance themselves to death, but...couldn't have it happen too soon! Couldn't kill the entertainment before they really started to entertain!
...Because the thing about all this singing? People couldn't control what they sang. They couldn't just choose to glide into some pitchy rendition of 'Don't Cry For Me, Argentina', or what have you. No, they had to sing - from their souls. Sometimes it was just dialogue in song form, if they were lucky, but sometimes - people found their innermost thoughts, the doubts that haunted their dreams and the secrets that clung to the backs of their minds - spilling right out of their mouths. He'd seen it happen in Sunnydale. Perhaps one of the best things that had come out of that little venture, in hindsight, was that his targeted victims had survived. Had lived on to experience the aftermath of all their deepest, darkest secrets being pulled out into the spotlight.
"I'm the hottest swing, I'm the twist and shout. When you gotta sing, When you gotta... let it out... You call me, and I come a-runnin', I turn the music on - I bring the fun in. Now, we're partying That's what it's aaaall about..."
His soft, raspy voice floated out over the trees as he looked on over the people of Central Park. A few more moments...and they'd be showing off their own musical talents.
Sweet grinned at the thought. "Show time."
ooc:// so yeah! Anyone can feel free to join in on this if they feel like...torturing their characters in a new kinda way xD. Oh, and if you're unfamiliar with the effects of Sweet's spell/have no idea what your character's supposed to sing about - it can be about pretty much anything. Most likely something having to do with their everyday lives/a problem they're having (AND MAYBE NOT TELLING ANYONE~!). Example - here. Have fun!

There was some kind of demon thing nearby. Jio wasn't really interested per se, but he knew he would have to take care of it or something. With a sigh Jio walked down the streets, watching and listening for any kind of demonic activity. So far the streets seemed pretty calm. Everything seemed to be going normally for once. It was strange to see this place completely calm, quiet almost. The streets were actually pretty empty, which was really quite strange for New York City. A bit too strange, in Jio's opinion. And that's when he heard it, a strangely smooth voice sounded through the area...
Singing?
Well that was... weird. Jio looked around for the source only to see a strange red guy in a blue suit singing. That had to be the demon. Jio took a step closer and tried to shout. But it came out as... "Stop that you creep! I don't want to hear it! Don't you know people are trying to sleep!? You'd better stop or you'll get hiiiiiit!~" ...Was he singing? Jio blinked and looked down at himself. Why was he singing? Who was this weirdo? How could he make Jio sing like that? Jio took a step back and looked up at the strange demon. How was that even possible?
