Though his disdain for mortals had indeed made Loki take very little interest in Earth, he did find a few beings that he considered a tad more respectable than humans. They had far more power than the average mortal. Loki still refused to consider then on the level of Asgardians, but he didn't look down on them as much as he would a mortal. One such being was a warlock named Richard, who seemed to possess magic that rivaled even his own, as much as he hated saying that. The warlock's power was interesting, and Loki sought to form an alliance of sorts with him. If the warlock were agreeable, they could work well with each other.
From what Loki had heard from the many destroyed... orphanages, the warlock was chaotic, and completely uncontrollable. It would be something of a bother containing him anywhere, and if they were to have a fight Loki would want nobody to know of it. So, he'd found a dimension where their fight wouldn't matter to anyone; a dimension known as the Plane of Suck. It was an immature name, hardly comparable to the names he was familiar to, but it would have to suffice. Using his magic, Loki summoned a throne to sit on. It was getting awfully uncomfortable standing on nothingness.
Loki opened a portal, which lead directly to the Plane of Suck, wherever Richard was. Due to certain.. limitations, Loki had no idea just where the warlock was, though he could create a portal nearby him. Loki could only hope he wouldn't regret dealing with this warlock...

It was a good, good day so far. The sun was shining, the air was full of the sound of nothing at all, and Richard....well, he was propped up on the slightly smoldering wreckage of what had once been an orphanage. It had almost been a disappointment when he found out the place was closed for repairs...at least until he found out that it was being reopened on this very day, and then he had been overjoyed to demolish it. And now he was content to wait until the group arrived to reopen it so he could just rub it in their faces!
Or at least he would have been, had his pleasant rest not been interrupted by the sudden appearance of a portal. He just stared at it for a long time, as if trying to gague its meaning....before he plucked a chunk of rubble from beside him and flicked it at the portal, watching it disappear.
"Hmm....this is clearly some kind of trap..." He thought aloud. "But it's not like I had anything better to do." Hurriedly crafting a sign that read "BLEW UP YOUR STOOPID BUILDING", he planted it in front of the rubble and approached the portal. Leaning in close he studied it for several more moments....before he poked it. And as soon as he touched it, he lurched forward and spilled through it, ending up sprawled on his back.
In a very familiar place. "Oh look....I'm here again."

After waiting only a few moments, the portal shone brightly, causing Loki to cover his eyes to avoid the brightness. Once the light had faded, a figure stood in it's place... or rather laid, as it were. The figure was clad in dark robes, what little was shown of his face was clearly corpse-like, proving that this was the man.... or undead, as it were, Loki wanted. Simply watching, Loki awaited... something. He just wasn't sure what.
What he got were some rather simple words. Not at all what Loki had expected someone who's been known for their powers of destruction and murder. "...Indeed you are." It was a simple reply to a simple statement. Loki did his best to not take part in simple conversation. What good was a king who became invested in the trivial matters of those below him? "You are Richard, the Warlock, correct?"
It was hardly possible that Loki had accidentally spawned his portal near the wrong person; or that said person was familiar with the `Plane of Suck`. As much as it bored him, Loki did have to identify the other man before getting down to business. Hopefully he wouldn't have to endure too much of the randomness many people has spoken of.

Richard remained sprawled on the ground for a moment, just staring into the nothingness around him. "I should build my summer home here. No wait, I already have the Pit of Despair...." He lurched upright when Loki addressed him by name, and quirked an eyebrow, finally taking notice of the other man. Richard's undead gaze looked Loki up and down for what seemed a long while, before he spouted a rather loud, vastly echoing laugh.
"Nice helmet."
He pushed himself up, dusting off his robes. "And who's askin'?" His eyes suddenly narrowed into suspicious slits. "Because if you're here about the field trip to Washington, those kids were dead when I got there." Turning away, he rubbed at his chin as he paced a few steps away. "Or maybe you're here about that tax dodge....or the pet store fiasco...." He giggled maniacally. "If this is about the phone books, I have no idea who this 'Richard the Warlock' is."
"But if you're here about the hospital incident, yep, that was me." And he proudly raised one arm as if raising his hand to point himself out in a crowd.
"And uh...." He paused, as if just realizing something. "Who're you suposed to be, Mister Helmet?"

Loki sat patiently while Richard mused to himself. It was not altogether uncommon for one to be dazed after teleporting, particularly when others teleported them. Loki hadn't had an adverse reaction to teleporting since he first started studying magic. It had been one of the first things he'd learned to do, besides basic energy manipulation. These may have been fond memories, but Loki attempted to keep them away. Distancing himself from his past life in Asgard was likely the best thing for him to do. Loki was snapped out of his thoughts by the Warlock's first coherent words. It was... far from what he was expecting out of a man who was supposedly feared all over his dimension. Loki wasn't quite sure if he was insulting him, so he simply ignored it and awaited something that made sense.
"I am not here about any of those things." Loki replied, secretly wondering just what those things were. What could possibly have happened with phone books, whatever those were. Being unfamiliar with Midgardian technology was downright torturous at times. Loki wasn't going to try to figure out Midgardian technology either. It was too much of a waste of time for one who could just as easily ban all of the silly trinkets the mortals had. Though from what Loki could guess from the name it was some sort of handbook on phones, which Loki was quite sure were their communication devices. But none of that was truly important. What was important was getting this Warlock to join his efforts. If the Warlock so enjoyed killing, Loki would have to allow him to continue without anyone bothering him. Perhaps that would get him to join his side.
Finally, something that made some semblance of sense. Now Loki could get things going. "I am Loki, Asgardian God of Mischief." He said. He'd never quite liked the god of mischief title. Thor had been earned God of Thunder for his control over lightning and Loki had been given God of Mischief for his penchant for causing trouble, despite his mastery of magic. Could he not have been God of Sorcery? Loki managed to snap himself out of his bitter thoughts to continue speaking to Richard. "...And I am willing to offer you a substantial reward if you will aid me in my cause."
