In which Sora winds up in Asgard and gets in trouble.
It'd been at least a month since Sora last saw Kairi and Riku. A month since his battle with Ansem. A month since they'd closed the Door of Light. A month since Kairi was sent back to the island and Riku was trapped behind a door.
Sora wasn't sure where he was, all he knew was that he was in a world he'd never seen before. It was colorful and vibrant, unlike many other worlds he'd seen.
He'd been separated from Donald and Goofy a while back, but he hoped that maybe they'd be here in this strange, new, place. He even quietly wished that maybe Riku and the King would be here.
His hand gently held the Oathkeeper keychain in his pocket as he reflected on his promise to Kairi. A small smile moved across his lips as he mumbled about bringing Riku back home safely.
Sora moved throughout the odd city, getting many odd looks from the locals that lived here. They were bigger than him, much bigger, and many of them wore armor.
He gave his onlookers a small, friendly smile as he continued walking. Ahead of him was what looked like a palace. He wondered if whoever lived in there could help him, or if they were an enemy that worked for Maleficent and Ansem.
He shook his head. No, he couldn't assume that about everyone. Ansem and Maleficent were gone. He defeated them with the Keyblade. They weren't coming back any time soon.
Sora picked his head up and strode towards the palace, but before he could reach the doors he was stopped by two guards.
"Hault, what business do you have here Midgardian, and how did you arrive here?"
Sora blinked as he was suddenly stopped, "My name's Sora and I don't know what a Midgardian is, and I don't know exactly how I got here. But I'm looking for my friend Riku and King Mickey. I don't know if you've seen them...Riku's kind of tall, well taller than me, and he has silver hair. King Mickey is well, a mouse, and a little smaller than me."
"We have no time for your petty search. No Midgardians have ever stepped foot in Asgard before. You're coming with us if you do not tell us your true identity. Are you a Chitauri in disguise?"
A confused look flashed across Sora's face, "A chi-what? I've never heard of that. Is that a kind of Heartless?"
Suddenly, Sora found himself being lifted by the two guards and being carried inside. He didn't understand what was going on. What was a Midgardian? What was Asgard? What was a Chitauri?

Frigga had been taking a stroll among the golden halls of her home, through the long winding hallways in a slow search for one of the large gardens that took up a secluded courtyard. She had arrived home from Midgard for a brief visit to her family after her first search for her disappeared son proved fruitless.
The Queen turned a corner, half-sunken into her thoughts on where she could look next - Where would her Loki hide himself in the Midgardian world? Perhaps she should bring Thor with her next time... The two had been close as children. Perhaps the blonde Thunder God would know his brother's mind well enough to help her locate him?
The thought was thrown out quickly. Loki was as pleased with his brother as he was with his father - Odin - these days. It was perhaps best not to bring them face-to-face with each other just yet...
Her thoughts were broken as she heard an unfamiliar child's voice. She stopped in her tracks, frowning curiously as she looked towards the source. Somehow during her walk, she had wandered near the front gate, and there - Being held up and dragged in by two of the guards! - was an innocent-looking boy with big, blue eyes.
"What is going on here?" Frigga demanded, letting her Queenly presence be known as she half-stormed towards the guards, planting herself in front of them with her arms crossing, "Why are you trying to arrest an innocent young Midgardian child? Is this what you intend to teach future visitors about Asgardian hospitality?"

Footsteps light as air softly echoed through the halls of Loonatics HQ. Rev Runner was sneaking into one of Tech E. Coyote's closed-off sections of his lab. He didn't want to make any noise; he didn't want to rustle the air with his super speed. And so here he was, slowly creeping against the wall of the hallway. Coming to a closed door, Rev looked across the way to find a passcode entry pad. He'd often watched as Tech disappeared behind this door, but he'd yet to investigate what, exactly, was behind it. Being Tech's lab assistant, Rev was rarely excluded from the coyote's various experiments and inventions. However, something was nagging him about the fact that Tech had yet to show him whatever was behind this door.
Zipping over to the entry pad, the road runner peered closely at its keys. It twelve keys, total. Ten of them were numbered zero through nine, another was a decimal point, the last was the enter key. He paused, momentarily, in thought. There was the obvious answer, but it couldn't be that simple, could it? Hesitantly, Rev's feathery finger flew over the surface of the entry pad. Three-point-one-four, one-five, nine-two-six-five; finishing the code, he pressed the Enter key. With a metallic click and a breeze of sealed air, the door slid open. Pi, of course; at least Tech was predictable. Rev took a moment to give himself a smile at his ingeniousness. Granted, he was probably the only one on the Loonatics team who could anticipate what Tech does, but he prided himself, nonetheless.
Dusting off his hands, Rev stepped quickly into the room, the door closing tightly shut behind him. Looking around, the anthropomorphic bird took in the gadgets the secret room held. Well, gadget, really; the whole space was dominated entirely by a single device. The contraption was large enough, and designed, to house an individual. In various places, wires and plugs of all sorts protruded from the invention, which typically meant that it was still being worked on; also known as a prototype. Rev doubted Tech had even managed to test it, yet.
Rev often slipped up; more often than not, within Tech's own lab. There were things he sometimes did that he probably shouldn't. One of these was, most likely, curiously stepping into the mysterious invention. Another was not inspecting the monitor to the side of the machine that had immediately come to life as soon as Rev had crossed the threshold. However, his first mistake, the one that could have prevented all this trouble, was not inquiring Tech as to what had been behind the door instead of investigating it, himself. Because, after he'd entered the device and as the monitor lit up, the glass door of the machine sealed shut, trapping him inside. Rev pressed his beak against the door, trying to see what was displayed on the monitor, as the invention activated fully. Some sort of dust seemed to begin swirling around the road runner as a small vortex was generated in the chamber. Looking up, Rev was shocked to see swirling clouds parting to reveal what looked to be an entire universe beyond. The lanky bird felt something tug at his stomach before his world went spinning out of control and then finally going black.
Within the world of Asgard, a meager road runner was thrust upon the streets, falling heavily onto his stomach. Opening his eyes, Rev did not recognize the world he found himself in. Apparently, Tech's new device was a transporter of some kind. Now, he just had to find out where, exactly, he was... Faster than the eye could follow, Rev raced through long streets and towering buildings. That is, until he came upon the site of a pair of guards hoisting a poor boy through an entryway. With a quick burst of speed, the bird managed to slip inside before the doors fully closed. Now, Rev was a pretty average height, being taller than Ace and shorter than Tech, and possibly only just over Sora's own height; however, who - or what - ever these people were, they seemed to tower over the poor super hero. That wasn't going to stop him from doing his job as a hero, though!
"Hey!-What's-the-big-idea,-dragging-the-poor-kid-around-like-that?-How'd-you-like-it-if-someone-did-that-to-you?-Though,-I'd-imagine-it'd-have-to-be-someone-really,-REALLY-big!!" One of the guards attempted to swat the talkative bird away, but, naturally, they were simply just too slow. Luckily for the road runner, he was able to run at a top velocity of 9,983.03 and, quicker than the blink of an eye, Rev was on their other side, confronting the other guard. "Y'know-you-people-are-really-BIG-and-REALLY-rude..." It took a moment for Rev to realize someone was already reprimanding the pair of keepers. Looking to Frigga, Rev sped his way over to the All-Mother.
He gestured to the guards with a friendly smile. "Heh-eh!-Gee,-I-sure-hope-everyone-is-half-as-friendly-as-these-two!-By-the-way,-nice-to-meet-you!-The-name's-Rev,-Rev-Runner;-Speed-Demon-of-Acmetropolis,-at-your-service!" His actions as fast as his mouth, Rev gripped Frigga's hand and shook it a couple times in a very fast manner. He did the same for the two guards and their captive as well before stopping in-between the Queen of Asgard and the trio. Throughout the whole ordeal, Rev kept a bright and friendly smile on his face. This lady seemed like a good sort and appeared to value hospitality and Rev wasn't really one to hold a grudge. Although, he hoped the guards would be nicer to newcomers after this little event; the road runner didn't like the idea of more people coming here only to be hassled like the poor blonde boy was now.

The guards froze immediately when Frigga made herself present. They slowly turned towards her, both looking a bit nervous under the gaze of their queen. "B-But your Highness, you don't understand, he was trying to barge into the castle without permission and--"
Sora frowned as the guards spoke. How could they lie in front of their own Highness? "I wasn't barging in! I was asking if they saw two of my friends! I wanted to see if the owner of this palace had seen any of them or could tell me where I was!"
Of course the two guards glared at the boy, "You will address her as your Highness, My Lady, or Lady Frigga, boy!"
However, they both froze as Rev came out of nowhere. Confused looks flashed over their faces, especially Sora's. Though anger quickly moved over the guards' expressions as Rev spoke to them. If they weren't already holding Sora, one of them probably would have went after the anthromorphic bird.
The boy raised an eyebrow and tilted his head as he tried to keep his eyes on the quick, red, bird creature. He only caught bits and pieces of what Rev was saying. He managed to catch the creature's name, but that was about it.
"Could you repeat that but a bit slower?" Sora asked, "I didn't quite...get all of it."

Frigga's eyes simply narrowed at her Guards. Their lie was a bitter sound on her ears, causing her stomach to clench in her belly - How could they even think of lying to their Queen? Especially when they knew she would know...
"Hush!" She snapped as they reprimanded the boy, brushing her hand aside harshly as if to zip their mouths closed, "Have the two of you not done enough already?" Her ire was growing with each second with them, a feat in and of itself. Frigga was normally kind and patient, but these two Guards were being needlessly cruel to the young strange boy who was visiting their land.
"I suggest you both go back t--" Before her stern voice could finish the command, a strange bird-man-like creature appeared speeding out of nowhere. Her eyes widened a bit in wonder and surprise as he spoke on and on, his words never seeming to have an end. Oddly enough, however, she seemed to take amusement in his actions.
"Calm down, Child!" She chuckled, placing hand on the odd being's shoulder, "Do try to speak slower, I lost myself very shortly after you began speaking! Who are you, and where did you come from?" Her gaze turned up towards the others, eyes sharply glaring at the guards in a 'Put him down. Now.' sort of way, before becoming gentle once more as she looked at the young boy, "That question goes to you as well, Young One. It is not often that we here in visitors, and even less often when they arrive unnoticed!"

Just as the group was speaking among themselves, one of the guards began to shimmer away, slowly revealing Loki underneath. The Mischief God's plan had worked and he was in Asgard... Though the presence of his 'mother' may complicate things, he was sure that there wouldn't be any major problem with the rest of his plan. He needed to steal back the Casket of Ancient Winters for use in conquering Midgard. Unfortunately, being... removed from Asgard had complicated things. He should have stolen it when he'd escaped his imprisonment, but it had slipped his mind. A foolish mistake, yes, but one that he could easily correct by stealing it now.
For all the times he'd planned out his visit to Odin and Frigga, Loki wasn't quite sure what to say. He knew that she was not his real mother... but he also knew that it was her who'd named and raised him. She'd certainly been more attentive than Odin. But yet, she too had ultimately lied to him. Much like he no longer desired to impress Odin, he no longer desired to impress her. "...'Mother'." Loki said, changing the standard guard's spear to the more familiar shape of the scepter he was given by Thanos. The Mischief God then turned his attention to the other two. A young, Midgardian boy who had somehow managed to make his way to Asgard and... a Midgardian Road Runner. Honestly, how were so many Migardians getting to Asgard?
"It's been quite a while since I've been here." Loki said, a dark smirk appearing on his face. "I suppose you can blame Odin for that." It was only after he spoke that he realized the nearby guard was pointing a spear at him. Loki sighed as he turned to the guard. "I do remember you being far more aware of what happens when you threaten someone like me." In a moment Loki had already summoned a knife and thrown it into the guard's chest. The guard fell to the ground, injured; but not dead. "I remember wondering if the guards are even trained to fight."

Rev breathed a small, melancholy sigh. He knew he talked too fast. He knew most people couldn't keep up with him. But, most of all, he knew it got on a lot of peoples' nerves. More often than not, his teammates would either interrupt his current monologue or just clamp his beak shut physically to get him to stop talking. The first time it'd happened, Rev had felt a little insulted and a bit hurt, but he'd quickly gotten over it. After all, he couldn't really blame them. Rev knew for a fact that he talked way too much and tended to ramble, as well. Unfortunately, no matter how hard Rev tried, he just couldn't seem to slow himself down. The one time he'd managed to speak at a normal speed, it had been because Sypher had sapped his super speed powers away.
"Um…Sorry!-Yeah,-the-rate-at-which-I-talk-can-be-a-BIG-issue-for-some-people;-well,-a-lot-of-people.-Mostly,-I-was-telling-your-guards-there-to-let-the-poor-kid-go!-I-mean,-they-don't-seem-very-hospitable-do-they?" He taps his beak for a moment in thought, thinking about his next words carefully. "And-I-really-am-sorry!-But,-I'm-afraid-I-don't-know-how-to-slow-my-speach-down." The superhero bird looked abashedly towards the All Mother. Sometimes, he really wished he could slow his speech down. It would make it easier for a lot of people to keep up with him. Although, his rate of speech did allow him to get a lot more words in… Without even taking a breath, Rev continued his train of thought in a ramble. "Y'see,-ever-since-the-meteor-hit,-I-haven't-spoken-at-anything-close-to-a-normal-rate.-It's-kinda-one-of-the-side-effects. Sorry-if-I've-interrupted-anything,-but-uh…-Heh,-I-kinda-ended-up-here-after-using-one-of-my-friend's-inventions."
Rev's eyes went wide as he watched one of the guards shimmer into the form of Loki. "WHOA!-That-is-so-cool!" However, once the other guard had been attacked, the road runner put all of his defenses up, instantly becoming suspicious. In a flash, he'd zipped over to the guard to make sure he wasn't vitally injured. "HEY!-What's-the-big-idea?-I-know-they-weren't-the-most-polite-people-in-the-world,-but-that's-no-reason-to-ATTACK-them!" He turns to the Mischief God and faces him down, ready to speed at a moment's notice.

Sora blinked as Rev spoke, this time slowly catching on to his talking speed. That time he was able to make out what the quick bird was saying. He gave a nod to Rev before jumping at the sight of one of the guards turning into a completely different person.
At this point, he'd been dropped by the guards holding him as they addressed Loki with their weapons. Sora managed to get up onto his feet as a guard was assaulted by Loki, which caused Sora to get a bit defensive. Sure they were trying to arrest him--before Frigga stepped in of course--but that didn't give this guy the right to just attack them! What was his deal?
"What'd you do that for?" Sora demanded as he eyed the guard, noting that he wasn't dead, but just injured.
Out of defense, the Keyblade had appeared in Sora's hand, which he then pointed at Loki. "It might not be my place, but I can't let you hurt anyone else, mister!" He didn't know what he was getting himself into, but he couldn't let others just go about hurting innocent people. It'd go against everything he fought for when he tried getting rid of all the Heartless!
