Gonna put Raphael on the shelf for this.

How did you find us?: Magic
Category: Canon (Star Wars)
Name: Anakin Skywalker
Alias: Darth Vader, Lord Vader, Vader, Skywalker, Anakin
Age: 30s or 40s
Species: Human/cyborg
Ranking: Villain
Physical Appearance:
Anakin Skywalker was once a handsome human male, standing about just over 6'0". As Darth Vader, he stands 6'8" and is a twist of machine and flesh. Without his armor, Vader appears as hideous, burned, unnaturally pale and bald man.
In his armor, however, Vader strikes a more frightening and intimidating figure. His Sith armor is almost solid black and covers his body from head to toe. It’s a strange mix of medieval knight, samurai, and astronaut; with a black cloak and robe, black plating and shoulder pads, and the controls for his life supporting system blinking in the center of his chest.
Perhaps most prominent, however, is his helmet, which vaguely resembles a glowering skull.
Personality:
In his past, Anakin Skywalker was a bit of a tech nerd and enjoyed assembling and tinkering with machinery, such as vehicles or droids. As he grew older, he devoted more and more time to his Jedi and martial training, but remained a kind and compassionate man. However, he was not without his flaws. He was brash, arrogant and, in some cases, careless. He was completely devoted to his wife and true love, Padme, though. And it was this love that drove him to hate.
As a Sith Lord, Darth Vader is virtually devoid of all humanity. He lacks compassion and remorse for his evil deeds, and is virtually consumed by hatred and self-loathing. He also has no tolerance for incompetence and regularly kills subordinates for failing. But, even as a Sith, Vader still seems to have a code of honor and holds himself to a high degree of integrity -this is especially obvious as he prefers to lead troops from the front, rather than give orders from behind the lines.
Perhaps even the Sith have a warrior’s code. Or maybe there’s still some good left in him...
Powers/Abilities:
The Force: Darth Vader is easily one of the most powerful practitioners of the Force to have ever existed. Using the Force, Vader can read and manipulate minds, perform telekinesis, -such as moving objects or choking people- and predict the future to various degrees. He also uses it to improve his already impressive reaction time. Anything other Jedi and Sith can do, Vader can potentially do better. Except for the Sith Force lightning technique...
Physical Prowess: Using a combination of the Force, his cybernetic implants and his armor, Vader has superhuman strength, stamina and durability. He can easily lift a full grown man with on hand and take a hit from a lightsaber in certain areas of his armor.
Martial Prowess: Having trained since childhood in the ways of the Force and the Jedi, Darth Vader is an extremely skilled combatant. His reflexes and reaction time is easily superhuman, thanks to the Force. Likewise, he is easily one of the best swordsmen to have ever existed.
Technical Prowess: Although he dedicated less time to tinkering with electronics and machinery as he got older, Darth Vader still possesses a wealth of technological know-how. He can repair, upgrade or create a great number of things.
Pilot: Even as a child, Anakin Skywalker had the skills of an ace pilot. During the Clone Wars, he became the best fighter pilot in the galaxy. As Darth Vader, he piloted a tie fighter to great effect during the battle to protect the Death Star -although he ultimately failed.
Equipment:
Sith Armor: In conjunction with his cybernetic implants and usage of the Force, Vader’s armor helps to augment his already impressive physical strength, stamina and durability. It also serves as his life support system and is the only thing keeping him alive.
Lightsaber: Like most practitioners of the Force -Sith, Jedi, or otherwise- Darth Vader uses a lightsaber. Like other Sith, his lightsaber has a red tinted blade, which is capable of slicing through most any solid object with ease.
Psychological Flaws:
Arrogance: Even after all his years of experience, Vader can still be prone to overestimate himself and underestimate his enemies.
Self-Loathing: Guilty and ashamed of not only allowing his wife to die, but of also being the one to kill her, the one thing Vader hates the most is himself.
Hate: Although hate and anger can cloud a person’s judgement, no such flaw exists with Vader -as Sith are not only taught but encouraged to hate and harness the extremes of that emotion. However, it does make him ruthless and cold, and very prone to either alienating allies or outright killing them.
Love: Love is worse than hate, in Vader’s case, since it was love that led him to hate. Feelings of love, however brief or nonexistent, can hamper his Sith powers -which rely on the Dark Side -fear, lust and hate. Love can also cause him to be easily manipulated, as it was when Darth Sidious who used his love for Padme to convert him to the Dark Side and the Sith.
Physical Flaws:
Electricity And Other Electromagnetic Phenomena: Being a cyborg, Vader is especially vulnerable to electricity or magnetic fields. Likewise, this is why Vader can not perform the trademark Force lightning technique, despite being easily one of the most powerful Sith Lords to have ever existed.
Charred Lungst: Vader is a burn victim and his charred lungs can not provide his body with another oxygen to survive. He must breathe highly oxygenated air, either provided by his armor or special chambers. Outside of either of these environments, Vader will die.
Slow, Clumsy And Heavy: In his youth, as a full human, Anakin Skywalker was fast and agile. He was able to perform amazing feats of acrobatics and speed. As Darth Vader, however, his Sith armor makes him far too heavy to do back-flips and jump around. Although his arms and hands are still as quick as ever -even being able to deflect projectiles- due to the weight of his armor, he can’t even break out into a run. At the most, he can only muster speed-walking. Likewise, his size makes him an easier target to hit and his movements are on a bigger, and therefore clumsier, scale.
Life Support Unit: The controls to Vader’s armor’s life support unit are located in plain sight, right in the center of his chest. They’ve even been touched and deactivated by quick enough opponents during battle.
Other Flaws:
Brief History:
Darth Vader was born Anakin Skywalker, on the desert planet of Tatoonie, to a mother named Shmi. His earliest years were spent as a slave, with pod racing and toiling with machinery as his only outlet. By the machinations of fate, Anakin was found and freed by a pair of Jedi, one of which was Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was also during this time that Anakin met and became fascinated by young Padme, and came under the watchful eye of Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious.
Recognizing the potential of the young boy, the Jedi Order allowed Anakin into their ranks under the care of the recently knighted Obi-Wan. It was during these years that Anakin grew less interested in machines and much more interested in training in the ways of the Force and martial prowess. He became extraordinarily powerful, with an extraordinarily big ego to boot.
During his tenure as Obi-Wan’s pupil, a matured Anakin again met up with Padme. The two fell in love and even got married in secret -since Jedi were forbidden to take wives. However, it was also around this time that Anakin lost his beloved mother. Discovering Shmi after she was tortured and killed by the Sand People, Anakin killed Shmi’s captors’ entire village -including the children.
It was also during this period that Anakin and Obi-Wan encountered and then did battle with Count Dooku, aka Darth Tyrannus -the first battle of which resulted in the lost of Anakin’s right arm from the elbow down. Dooku, Anakin and Obi-Wan would be key figures in the Clone Wars that occurred shortly afterward, and it was during the Clone Wars that Anakin achieved full Jedi knighthood.
Sadly, the things that made Anakin Skywalker and great man and a great Jedi eventually became his downfall. Tormented by visions of his wife dying, Anakin became obsessed with finding a way to keep her from dying. Palpatine, having earned Anakin’s trust and loyalty, revealed himself to be the Sith Lord Darth Sidious and promised that the Dark Side of the Force held the secrets to eternal life that Anakin sought.
Fighting Dooku for the final time, Anakin began to fall further under the Dark Side’s influence, after decapitating the Count. He grew to distrust and then hate the Jedi order, leading an attack against their temple with slaughtered many, including children. Everything was culminated, at the fiery volcanic world of Mustafar. Vader, falsely assuming the pregnant Padme had betrayed him, Force choked her into unconsciousness. This was followed an epic battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker, now the Sith Lord that Darth Sidious and christened Darth Vader.
Vader fought well and dominated Obi-Wan during most of the battle. However, his arrogance blinded him to Obi-Wan’s potential, when his former mentor finally took the advantage. Obi-Wan took the opportunity to promptly cut off Vader’s legs and good arm when Vader attacked him. Kenobi then proceeded to confiscate his former friend’s lightsaber, after the latter had fallen too close to the lava flows and caught fire.
Left to die, Vader somehow survived and was rescued by Sidious. Shortly after his rescue, Vader began to painful process of mending his severed limbs with cybernetic prosthetics and imprisoning his charred and broken body inside of the Sith armor that would become his trademark. From that point forward, Darth Vader would serve by Sidious’ side, fulfilling the Sith Rule of Two.
Vader proved to be a Sith in the truest sense, however. Unlike Maul, he wanted only to serve Darth Sidious, and Tyranus, who wanted to rule side by side with Sidious, Vader eventually began to conspire to kill his master; just as virtually every Sith apprentice before him had conspired to do to their master. Vader even trained an apprentice or two himself, although his plans were always found out by Sidious, aka the Emperor, and foiled.
More recently, Lord Vader has felt a great disturbance in the Force, along with receiving strange visions. Vader is confident that the Emperor has had similar experiences, although Vader has chosen to keep the full extent of his awareness a secret.
Upon a routine journey about the world of Byss, Darth Vader and Darth Sidious -both in separate vessels- encountered a strange energy that swept them and their respective ships into another galaxy, and another time. In this new world, just like in the old one, Vader intends to carry out his Master’s wishes, and achieve the Emperor’s goals.
Provided, of course, that they co-inside with his own goals...
Reason for being on AM: The same strange mechanisms of space and time that brought Darth Sidious to AM also brought Darth Vader. While here, he hopes to either return to his native time and place, or gain mastery over this new, strange world.
