Basically, make a pokemon team for your character using their character traits/abilities to choose the pokemon. Here's Bulbapedia, for reference. Celebi: Celebi is cute and playful most of the time. When it's attacked it turns out to be immensely powerful and protective of the people it's bonded with. This is much like how the Doctor acts weird but when he's attacked he gets dangerous and always manages to win somehow. Latios: It's TARDIS blue. And it flies. It's the TARDIS Pokemon. Kakuna: Much like the Doctor, the Kakuna tends to, instead of fighting, harden it's shell and carry on that way, much like how the Doctor doesn't fight and instead makes himself less vulnerable with every adventure. Meditite: Meditites may be a fighting-type Pokemon, but they definitely prefer meditation to fighting, much like how the Doctor prefers pretty much everything to conflict but he's good at settling it. Electrode: Going with the Doctor usually ends up being harmful to the other person, much like the Electrode harms itself when it explodes. Ditto: It changes it's shape a lot. That's like regeneration. :3

Marowak - While its earlier evolution is consumed by the grief of what it has lost, the Marowak has overcome this grief - its sadness has turned to violence and anger. ..Yep, I don't think I need to spell out why this fits. 'Nuff said!
Gyarados - Gyarados starts out as a Magikarp, which is basically...harmless. And then it turns into something very, very strong. Pretty much describes how Regina's grown up!
Umbreon - Dark. Mysterious. And at heart, a hunter - something that has no qualms with preying on others. Regina'd be like ">D" and totally pick this one.
Blaziken - Blaziken's attacks get stronger depending on how strong its opponent is, and how much danger it or its loved ones are in. You could apply a similar description to Regina - she's definitely the most dangerous when she's backed into a corner.
Ponyta - This one, Regina would pick just because she'd like it. A) She LOVES horses, and B) It's a baby. So it applies to her favorite animal and her maternal instincts at the same time. I think this pokemon could also represent her rare softer side, and she could definitely relate to its constant need to run - Regina's been trying to find freedom for most of her life.
Jinx - Pahahaha. This one is the obligatory MAGICAL~ pokemon, and it has a poisonous ability that sends the victim into a deep sleep. So um. Yeah. I don't think Regina would be too pleased with how ridiculous it looks, but OH WELL!

Missingno: Missingno is the Slender Man of Pokemon. He's creepy, nobody knows anything about him and he's literally something that should not exist. Technically Missingno isn't even a real Pokemon, but I'm using him anyway because it just fits so well. Spiritomb: Spiritomb uses dark attacks and is very malevolent, yet nobody seems to know anything about him. Plus, one of his attacks is "torment", so there you go. Haunter: Unlike Gengar, who is just mischievous, Haunter stalks his prey and is very malevolent. This, obviously, is muhch like the Slender Man, who stalks his prey and is likely malevolent. Haunter also is a ghost-type Pokemon, which is fitting to the Slender Man. Tentacruel: Dem tendrils. Besides that, Tentacruel stalks his water-y prey like the Slender Man does, so there you go. Deoxys: Crazy space alien shapeshifter with weird tentacle arms? It looks a lot like Slendy, though it is more... colorful. It also changes it shape to fit battles, like Slendy does. Alakazam: It's mostly the fact that Alakazam uses fire attacks, dark attacks and psychic attacks. The Slender Man can use all three of those.

[li] Abra - Abra usually avoid fighting by using Teleport to escape. [/li][li] Mew - Mew is a very curious and intelligent Pokémon that will only appear to someone with a pure heart. ( Don't get me started how cute it would be to see Bruce working in the lab with a curious Mew helping him.) [/li][li] Charizard - Generally, a Charizard will be competitive. It loves to battle, and spends a great amount of time training or looking for opponents. Its competitive spirit is also noteworthy, since it will never spit flames at a weaker foe unless provoked or commanded. When it gets very angered, the flames on its tail become a bluish-white color. It spits fire that is hot enough to melt boulders. It is known to have unintentionally caused massive forest fires with its flames. [/li][li] Mudkip - Mudkip is more mellow than its evolutions, but is protective of its kind and because of its powerful strength it groups up in numbers and easily overpower its foes. [/li][li] Espeon - Espeon are very loyal to their Trainers and will protect them from harm. [/li][li] Mareep - Mareep tend to avoid battle in the wild and have mild dispositions. [/li][/ul][/blockquote]

Team Base: Oncie's team is based on all parts of himself. Pokèmon that Innocent, Greed, and himself had taken onto their team. Greed's choices are based on arrogance and power, Innocent's choices are based on kind heartedness, and Oncie's main choices are based on loyalty. (Each "persona" and Oncie have two Pokèmon on the entire team, listed in the order: Innocent, Greed, Oncie.)
- Joltik - Joltik cling to larger Pokémon, sucking up static electricity and storing it in a special pouch. Some Joltik also suck up electricity from household plug sockets.
- Sandile - Sandile burrow themselves, leaving only their eyes and nose unsubmerged, and move along the sand's surface.
- Salamence - Salamence is an extremely vicious Pokémon. It is also arrogant about its victories by spouting intense flames into the air. This behavior may be explained due to the fact that it faced many hardships to get its wings to grow, and therefore, it is very proud of its achievement.
- Nidoking - Nidoking are angered easily, and can be very violent when provoked. They can use their powerful tail to thrash and crush the bones of their prey. Nidoking will often go on rampages for little or no apparent reason.
- Bulbasaur - Bulbasaur tend to have a strong loyalty to their friends and Trainers. When a baby Pokémon, such as Togepi or a newly hatched Bulbasaur, is crying and all other methods of calming down the baby fail, Bulbasaur may use its vines to perform its Bulba-by, where it rocks the baby back and forth in the air and sings to it. This has only been recorded once by humans, making it seem that some people do not even believe that this behavior is real.
- Dragonite - Dragonite have a kindhearted disposition and are said to have human-like intelligence. They have been said to save people from drowning and lead ships that have been trapped in storms to safety.

Maleficent does not implement Pokeballs, choosing instead to employ her party within her Forbidden Fortress. *=Shiny
Murkrow: [nickname: Diablo] Murkrow have a fondness for anything that's sparkly and has been known to steal things such as jewelry from people and hide them in all sorts of secret locations. Whenever a Murkrow finds itself being chased, it will lead the attacker to a dark mountain trail where the foe is bound to get itself lost. This behavior pairs well with Maleficent's own eye for mystical trinkets and the far reaches of her Forbidden Fortress. Murkrow is a faithful and loyal companion to the Mistress of All Evil and can often be found in her company.
Cradily: In ancient times, Cradily moved around the seafloor with stealth in search of its prey. It was a powerful hunter, and was very vicious to its prey while preparing to eat it. This cruel and torturous trait is admired by one such as Maleficent, who often takes pleasure in extending her victims' agony. Cradily often implements itself as a trap for intruders into Maleficent's domain.
Gengar: Gengar are very mischievous, and at times, malicious. When the quarry notices, the Gengar takes delight in its victim's terror. Being of Fae-kind, Maleficent also has a mischievous side to her, allowing her to take simply joy in Gengar's many pranks. Together, they are a formidable and threatening duo. Gengar is free to roam the rooms and halls of the Forbidden Fortress.
Hydreigon*: [nickname: Cyrbaris] Hydreigon are violent, destructive Pokémon. They will attack anything that moves, seeing it as a foe. This makes Hydreigon a very effective guard and protective force against outside forces.
Arbok: Rather vicious, Arbok are territorial. They lash out at intruders with long fangs tipped with deadly venom. With a vengeful nature, it will not give up a chase once it targets its prey or an opponent, no matter how far.
Rapidash*: Rapidash are very agile Pokémon. They can live on mountains along with Rock and other Fire Pokémon. They are the highest evolved form of Ponyta and are highly capable in battle. They will chase anything that moves in hopes of racing it. The faster Rapidash go, the longer the swaying flames of their mane will become.

Mew: For ICC reasons and nothing more. Dragonite: These Pokemon are known for being as intelligent as humans, which is quite smart when it comes to sentient, non-human creatures. They also go on unstoppable rampages when angered. EXTERMINATE. EXTERMINATE. Ninetales: Also intelligent, Ninetales is said to have Psychic abilities. The explanation for why the Doctor, Amy and Rory were able to hear Oswin's human voice, as well as her music, instead of a Dalek voice was a psychic projection. I dunno, that's what Moffat said. MOFFAT! *fistshake* Gardevoir: Gardevoir are loyal enough to sacrifice their own lives so that the people they care for would live. 'Nuff said. Sableye: Because they live alone in dark caves, Sableye play tricks on people to get attention, probably in the way Oswin flirts with Rory and the Doctor. There's also a story that they'll steal your souls and generally be nasty, when really, they're very friendly. Dalek!Oswin, anyone? Lunatone: It's a metorite Pokemon. Closest thing to a Star Pokemon, and we all know how Oswin feels about stars, amirite?

Regice: Regice is a big ice ceature. So, basically jotun.exe.
Serperior: Serperiors not only think very highly of themselves, but they underestimate every opponent they face, even if they're clearly stronger than them. This mirrors Loki's attempts to battle Thor and the Hulk despite being out of his league.
Mewtwo: Mewtwo is violent against all of humanity due to his low understanding of the human race. This is like Loki, who knows nothing of humanity and assumes them to be savage creatures who need a ruler.
Absol: Absol is very wary of humanity as a whole. In fact, if it had it's way it would avoid humanity forever. Whenever it appears, it's an omen of something bad happened. Loki, if he had his way, would be ruler of Asgard instead of Midgard and whenever he appears on Midgard something bad is bound to happen.
Weavile: Weavile, although it thrives while with it's own kind, doesn't get along with his own kind at all. Loki doesn't get along with both his fellow Jotuns and his fellow Asgardians - he actually wanted to destroy all the Jotuns and rule Asgard.
Mawile: Loki is a master of trickery, much like the Mawile who uses a disguise to fool it's opponent. The Mawile's nickname is 'the deceiver'.
