Granny's Bed and Breakfast was a cozy place, though one does miss their own bed after a few nights. That and he needed to move on to the next move of his plan. He needed to contact this "Mr. Gold" in order to start his shop, and hopefully have his own place to stay until Maleficent was ready to strike.
He'd asked around town where he could find this Mr. Gold during the daylight hours. Though, he did feel like a child when he was pointed towards a building with a large sign reading, "Mr. Gold Pawnbroker & Antiquities Dealer" hanging off of it.
The male stared at the door for several minutes, trying to decide how he'd address the man. He was warned about the man lurking within this shop. He could only wonder if he was anything like Maleficent. He shuddered at the thought.
After adjusting his tie, his hand reached out and touched the doorknob. With a deep breath, he opened the door and stepped in.
Upon stepping inside, Greed-ler removed his top hat as he looked around the interesting store. The store itself was filled with odd knick knacks, some of which looked to be out of place. His eyes caught sight of a windmill sitting idly nearby before he moved to the counter.
"Excuse me, is anyone here? I was told I could speak to someone about opening a shop here..." Greed-ler spoke as softly as possible, attempting to be just as humble as Innocent was...he'd been around the other Persona long enough to memorize how the other acted. His gaze moved about the objects sitting on the countertop.
He couldn't help himself as his hand reached out as the gold coloring of a certain lamp sitting upon the counter caught his eye.

Ah, Storybrooke had changed quite a bit since the curse was broken. For one thing he had very few customers, since most of them knew who he was now. Mr. Gold was also quite sure that the people of the town were all ready to form an angry mob against Regina. He wouldn't mind seeing that happen after what she had done. It would be quite amusing, actually, especially after she'd acted so superior to everyone for the past years.
Some people were taking their old names back. Mary Margaret had become Snow White again, for instance. Mr. Gold decided against going back to Rumpelstiltskin. Mr. Gold had a better ring to it and he didn't want to waste energy changing his sign. Plus, "Rumpelstiltskin" was universally associated with someone bad, wasn't it? His fairytale did involve him trying to steal a baby, after all. That wasn't exactly the best thing for people to know about you.
As Mr. Gold heard the shop door open his gaze turned to a man dressed all in green holding his hat. For someone so outrageously dressed he acted humble enough, telling Mr. Gold of his desire to open a shop in Storybrooke. Now, who would want to open a shop in a town populated with story book characters? Apparently, this man. Mr. Gold smiled and held out his hand for the other man to shake. "Then you've come to the right place." He said. "Mr. Gold, at your service."

Greed-ler quickly turning from the lamp towards Gold when the male spoke. He smiled as he gently shook the other's hand. He could practically smell the money coming off of the male...and the look in the shopkeeper's eye, yes a business man indeed.
It took a business man to recognize a business man.
Though, he had no idea the male before him dealt in magical "deals" as well as property. Not that Greed-ler would ever want one, he'd already had his fair share of magic dealing with Maleficent.
"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Gold," He replied, before making a gesture towards Gold's wares, "You have a very interesting shop here, sir. I'm very impressed." He already imagined seeing the Lorax stuffed into one of the large cuckoo clock hiding in the back corner. However, thinking about such a thing made a slight pain move through his head. Oncie's guilt biting him in the butt once again.
"Anyways, I was told by some locals that you'd be the man to see about inquiring about starting a shop, and perhaps some place to live as well." He said, returning his gaze to Gold.
Money wouldn't be an issue here. He'd learned first hand by staying at Granny's that his money was worth quite a lot in this place. In fact, he could have sworn after stepping through the door of the Bed and Breakfast a spell changed his green paper into this world's currency...Maleficent's work, perhaps? He didn't know, but he just found himself rather lucky to have stashed away a few bills from the booming days of the Thneed's popularity....before Oncie ruined everything.

Mr. Gold smiled as he listened to his customer. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. ...?" Mr. Gold liked to know the names of everyone he made any sort of deal with, even if he deal didn't even relate to magic. After all, names had a certain sort of power. It was the knowing of Emma's name that allowed him to regain his memories so early, wasn't it? So yes, names were very useful here...
"Ah, thank you. It took quite a bit of trouble to get all of these things here..." Mr. Gold said, looking around at the shop and it's variety of Enchanted Forest relics. It wasn't a lie, of course. It wasn't like it was easy getting the ingredients necessary for such a powerful curse. The Dark Curse was something even the Blue Fairy had trouble believing was possible, after all. It had to be significantly more powerful than the average curse.
"Well," Mr. Gold began, stepping away from the counter and walking over to a shelf to get some documents. "I believe there are a few housing openings, as well as a few vacant buildings you could start a business in." Normally, Storybrooke was completely filled. But, since the curse wore off, people were going to live with others they'd forgotten about, leaving abandoned buildings and houses.
Mr. Gold walked back over to the counter and set the documents down. "Now, what sort of business are you planning on opening?" He asked, looking over his documents. There were quite a few openings, though he had to not what business his customer was in to get down some good choices for him. He left the housing documents on the table so that his customer could look them over.

"G--Xavier, it's Xavier." Greed replied, giving Gold a small nod of his head. As he watched the shop owner move, he could only think about what Red had told him. Her words of warning echoing throughout his head as he tried to read the body language of the man before him. He brushed away the thoughts as he smiled upon Gold replying to his comments. He couldn't help but wonder where all the items came from now, recalling that everyone here were from another realm like he was in his head. Now where exactly did Maleficent say they were from? He forgot...did she even mention it?
He brought himself back to reality as his eyes followed the man when he moved to gather the documents. Greed gave nods, and made expressions that had the appearance of a student listening attentively to his teacher as Gold spoke. "It's a uh, a shop, actually, to sell an invention of mine."
His gloved hand slipped into his coat pocket to produce a hot pink, fuzzy, looking creation. He hadn't told anyone, not even his mother, that he'd kept more than five Thneeds for himself. One of which was still sitting in his room at Granny's Inn. (He tended to use it as a scarf.) He had four more, including the one he now held, which he had planned to display in his shop.
"It's called a Thneed." He said, "It has unlimited amounts of uses." Though he left out the part about there only being five of its kind in this world...since the Truffula seed still wouldn't grow for him, not even here.

"Xavier." He said, to finish his sentence. Of course, he caught the sudden change in words, but that wasn't altogether uncommon since all of them had changed names in Storybrooke. Still, he knew to keep certain things in mind when dealing with people. Even the littlest detail could turn the deal in his favor. Though, he was probably noticing little things out of habit, since this deal wasn't exactly the type he specialized in, at least not in the Enchanted Forest. Suffice to say, it was more Mr. Gold's style than Rumpelstiltskin's...
As soon as Xavier said it was a shop instead of a business, Mr. Gold opened a nearby cabinet and placed a few of the documents inside. They were larger buildings that likely wouldn't fit Xavier's needs. He glanced over at Xavier again to see what his invention looked like... and then fully turned around, in confusion. The fuzzy, pink... thing looked like some kind of scarf or sweater... something that was definitely a clothing item.
"A... thneed." Mr. Gold repeated, staring at the thneed for a few seconds more before looking at Xavier. He had a hard time believing that the thneed had an unlimited amount of uses, seeing as it was just a purple fuzz thing. But, it wasn't important to him if the object worked. "Well then, here you are." Mr. Gold placed the documents on the table. "On the subject of payment... The price of the house will, of course, be enough. I'd also like one of your thneeds." Seeing if it worked couldn't be a bad thing...

Greed eyed the papers as they were set on the desk. Thankfully for him, money wouldn't be a problem, now if it were Once-ler running the show, they'd be screwed by now. The boy had...poor money management, unlike Greed. A friendly smile moved over the male's face as he produced a small wallet. Though he paused when Gold spoke of wanting one of his Thneeds as well. He looked up from the documents and into the man's eyes.
Business was business, and he grew tired of all the pointless arguing that most deals brought. He could part with one, only one, but this just meant that he had to find a way to make the seed grow now. Three Thneeds left to sell and a non-growing Truffula tree seed was not what this shop needed. "Agreed." He replied, folding the Thneed and placing it on the table next to the documents. He also laid the agreed upon payment on top of the Thneed. "Pleasure doing business with you."
