Gotham City was filled with many a dirty, crime-infested alleyway. In the middle of one such alleyway, a man was getting mugged by a desperate criminal. "Just give it to me!!" The mugger shouted, pointing his gun at the man. The man whimpered and reached into his pocket. He procured his wallet and handed it to the mugger. In that very instant, another appeared in a flash of golden light. When the light cleared, a man in glistening golden armor stood, an emerald cape flowing behind him. The man was none other than the God of Mischief himself - Loki.
"The hell-!?" The mugger shouted, pointing his pistol at Loki. The Asgardian froze, staring at the mugger calmly. The mugger fired at Loki, hoping it would kill this odd looking man. The bullet merely bounced off of Loki's armor. The mugger's eyes widened and he fired again, to no avail. Loki's calm expression shifted into a smirk. Humans were always relying on their guns. Once the gun didn't work, the man ran forward and tried to punch Loki in the chest. Of course, this only had the effect of making the mugger's hand sore. Loki, in an impossibly fast move, brought his arm forward and grabbed onto the mugger's face. The mugger immediately caught fire. Loki threw him to the ground and turned to the man who was getting muged.
He was acting as any regular mortal would.... terrified, unwilling to defend himself in the face of death. They were all so pathetic. Loki didn't waste his magical ability on this mortal, instead opting to summon a knife and throw it at him. The knife hit the terrified man square in the throat, killing him. These pathetic humans would have disappointed Loki if he didn't already know of the race's cowardice. The only humans who had really stood a chance against him were the Avengers, and only three of them used their natural ability to fight. The others were an Asgardian, a monster and a man in a suit. None of them were really human when fighting him.
The sound of sirens wailing sounded through the nearby streets. Apparently someone had seen and called the human's law enforcement. Loki scoffed at the thought of them attempting to defeat him. Instead of forcing himself to deal with humanity's attempts, Loki teleported himself up to the top of a nearby building in a shimmer of gold. Loki conjured to his hand an item he had stolen from Asgard - the Casket of Ancient Winters. Loki smirked and opened the Casket, releasing a great frost onto Gotham. As the frost began to cover buildings and streets, Loki's skin became blue and his eyes red. He had reverted to his Jotun form.

he said as he landed and looked, surprising people here. "So, who saw what?" he asked as he stood there and looked at the two bodies and knelt down and studied the burnt guy. Standing, he walked over to the other guy and looked at him and at his wound. "Burnt and knifed..." he said simply as he looked around and sighed. Studying the stabbed guy, Terry pulls the blade out of the guys throat and looks at it before he put the blade away to study it. Standing, he walked back over tot he burnt body and looked for any wounds on him as the bums stood nearby. "So, what did you guys see?" he asks them as he looked at the two as he stood there. "Some guy appeared in gold, killed them and than left just like that." one said as Terry looked at the two. Looking between the two, Terry nodded and looked around. "What did this guy look like?" he asked them. The other guy thought, "He was wearing gold and a green cape. But it was like gold armor or something man..." he said as the first guy who spoke nodded. Nodding to them, Terry pondered, "Thanks" he said simply as he jumped into the air and the rockets in his boots powered him upward. "Alfred, anyone you know that wears gold armor and has a green cape?" he asks the aid of Batman and right now his aid too. "I do not know of anyone that fits that description Mr. McGinnis. I have the Batcomputer checking references now." was his reply. "Thanks Alfred.," he said simply as he landed on a building and knelt down, looking around. "Gordon," he said over his built in radio. "Your guy wears gold armor and has a green cape. uses knives to kill and burns people. Let your boys know to keep and eye out." he says as he shuts off the radio before Gordon can reply and looks up, going to the tallest point where he is and looking for this new person who has already killed two people in Gotham.[/ul]

Makya hated cities. She had not felt so before, but those cities had been proper ones, made for Pokemon to move through. All of these were too crowded and cramped, cold and humid by turns and without any other Pokemon around. At first, the sheer absence of her own kind had been frightening, and then it faded into unease - and now it was just something she noticed with an occasional pang of loss. She had wound up here somehow, and she had little hope of finding her mountain again, so it was best to keep moving.
Cities were also well-lit and filled with people who screamed every time she stuck her snout of an alley, but there were many alleys and side streets that, at night, could hide her presence. Despite how terrible they were were, cities were just too big to go around. Going through them was her best option, sticking to the outskirts if she could, and that had been her plan for this one. The prey she found was small and so weak she could have laughed, but there was food, even if it scampered along powerless and unable to fight. There had been a few close calls, but over all, the Garchomp had escaped being noticed by most of the public. Perhaps someone would catch sight of her eventually, but even if they did, she was fast, maybe fast enough to leave before anyone panicked.
Not that she really cared if she terrified a few humans, but she didn't want to get hunted down. She was already stuck, and there was no need to make her situation worse. Even if she wanted a fight, there was nothing she could do -
Her train of thought cut off at the unpleasant chill that swept through the air. She was no expert on weather, but this felt more like an Ice-type's attack or presence than anything natural. Was there a Pokemon here? So much frost meant it was a powerful one, and a fight was just what she needed right now. It had been too long without the trance. Leaping up from the alley, she dug her claws into the side of a building and then leaped again, gaining height steadily until she reached the roof. Peering at the surrounding buildings, she growled softly. No sign of a Pokemon - but was that a human standing there? Perhaps it had been foolish to approach - the cold was already seeping in and making her uncomfortable - but she had committed, and couldn't turn aside now.

He'd landed in another unfamiliar, dark, creepy city. Sora thought he should be used to this by now, landing in different, weird, worlds. Though this one made him feel on edge. He too had witnessed the crime in this city, even now he found himself being chased down the street by a group of large, meaty, thugs.
Sora stuck out like a sore thumb because of his attire, and the fact that he carried a large Key. That just screamed "Mug me please!" to all the criminals in the city. He could hear gunfire behind him, as well as the chinking of bullets hitting the ground behind him. They were trying to scare him, not hit him, no, they wanted to corner him like a mouse.
That was when a suddenly chill filled the air, making goosebumps rise on Sora's skin. He caught a glimpse of gold in his peripherals, and quickly turned his gaze to notice a man wearing an odd attire at the top of the building. Hadn't he seen him somewhere before? "Who...?"
His thought was cut off when the thugs that were tailing him caught up, guns in hand.
"C'mon guys, I don't want any trouble..." He said, backing up a bit more.
They laughed, one thug holding a baseball bat grinned, "Just hand over the cash and the funny outfit and you can go, twerp."
"Funny outfit? These are my normal clothes!" He replied, holding the Keyblade in a defensive manner.
"Take the brats weird key toy too!" "Yeah!"
Great, Sora thought, not only may I get robbed, but they want the Keyblade too.
He looked at his surroundings, he only had possibly dead-end alleyways and more street to run down if he tried to escape. Though, he felt like he shouldn't leave that golden clad man on the roof top there. He felt a weird "dangerous" feeling coming off the man. Though as he backed up towards the nearest building, the thugs had paused. Their attention moved to the roof top above him. Then, one by one, they ran off, in a terrified manner.
Sora stood there utterly confused as the lot ran off. What had scared them so much to run? Sora slowly backed up from the building, glancing up towards the roof. That's when he noticed Makya, which he automatically assumed was an oddly colored monster...but not just a monster... "A...A Heartless?!"

As soon as the biting frost had spread all over the city, Loki closed the Casket of Ancient Winters. As soon as it shut, it disappeared back to Loki's hideout. Once Loki stopped using the Casket, his form began to return to normal; the blue skin and red eyes of a Jotun faded away in seconds. In a brief shimmer of gold, Loki's sceptre appeared in his hand. Was the conquest of Gotham to be this easy? Certainly, Gotham's many protectors he'd heard so much about would try to stop him? Perhaps they had been caught off-guard by the sudden frost? Either way, this seemed far easier than he thought it would be.
At least, so he believed until he saw what appeared to be a dragon leaping from the side of a nearby building to it's roof. Loki didn't even believe that dragons existed on Midgard. On Asgard, slaying a dragon was usually an expedition taken by multiple men or one foolish or death-seeking man. Unless, perhaps, it was one of the more powerful Asgardians, such as himself or Thor. Though, he was wise enough to never face something like a dragon alone... However, he saw no need to summon the Destroyer yet. He would see the dragon's abilities before judging how powerful she was.

he says as he gets ready to take flight and blinks, "Wait, it just got cold pretty fast...." he comments as he takes flight and activates the cloak on his suit. I wonder if that Dragon is behind the change in temp.
As he flew, he looked and blinked, "Look at that...." he says to himself as he angles towards the figure in gold. "Gordon, found the golden man. He's at ...." gives the name of the building as he lands on the ground. Funny, but I thought Halloween was still a few weeks away?" he says as he decloaks.
Looking at Loki, he thinks on who or what this guy is. Standing there, Terry is ready for anything and he speaks to Loki, "I think that you should leave. Winter is still a few months away," he adds as he stands there. "So, who are you?" he asks Loki.[/ul]

An armoured human. She hadn't seen one of those in a while - and even the last time hadn't been serious, just some costumes a few trainers had dragged out. This looked different - it was real, and much tougher and less gaudy than what she remembered.
Practical. She supposed she approved of that, if nothing else. But why was he just... standing there? Had the cold come from him? That was a stupid question, or would have been in her own land, but... this place was different. She had learned that quickly enough. Growling softly, she took a step forward and then froze at the sound of something below her. A look downward told her there was... another human, staring up at her in shock. Well, at least he hadn't started screaming yet. She snorted at him - she had no time for idle assurances that she wasn't going to eat him - and turned back to the other, readying herself for a confrontation.
Or at least, she was planning on doing so, but there was something in the air. She couldn't see it but she could feel the vibrations of something moving, and it brought her up short, growl rising in volume as whatever it was finally landed and revealed itself. Another... human? It looked human in shape but it was also like armour, and its presence just confused her. There was a human inside talking, at least, first telling the other one to leave and then asking him who he was. Questions were useless - couldn't they see that? Neither was a Pokemon, but that initial disappointment aside, they were something.
Taking a few steps closer, she lowered her stance, not wanting to actively look ready for battle - but of course, she was. The chill in the air was still present, the frost still covering the city - but if she summoned a sand storm in the open air, it would even the field a little.
Best not to reveal she could talk. She had no idea who they were. And if they acted as threats, she would be more than happy to fight them. Every day, she found herself more agitated, unable to keep calm and think. Either she missed her home, or she raged at ending up here, or pondered if maybe she could just silence the next person who saw her and screamed. That was not how she wanted to live, moment to moment and relying only on pure instinct and feeling. She needed to get rid of that, which meant a battle.
It had been too long, after all.

The only thing Sora could make out of the entire situation at hand were the following.
One, the man standing at the top of the building a few feet ahead of him looked familiar. Two, there was another Human confronting him at the moment that he didn't recognize. Three, there was a dragon looking creature that could possibly be a Heartless.
He looked towards the building that the man in gold was standing on, and headed towards its front. He rushed inside and grabbed an elevator to the top floor, then searched for an entrance to the roof. It took him a while, and with a bit more stair climbing, he reached the roof to find the two other males standing there.
He looked from Terry to Loki, not really analyzing them as he entered the conversation without an invitation.
"Are you the one that summoned that Heartless here?!" Sora demanded, Keyblade in hand, as he glared at Loki, "How did you do it? Kingdom Hearts was closed! The Heartless disappeared, and still...you summoned one! How!?"
Of course, he was still assuming that Makya wasn't just an ordinary dragon or a Pokèmon for that matter. (Well that and he didn't even know Pokèmon existed.) He still assumed that she was like the Wyvern Heartless he'd fought at Castle Oblivion when he went to save Kairi.

Just as Loki was thinking of a solution for the dragon, he heard something behind him. The would-be king turned around to see a man in a strange costume appearing. Loki was unsure of what he was talking about. He assumed 'Halloween' was some odd, Midgardian celebration. Though, he saw no relevance to the matter at hand. So, he ignored the comment and listened to what he had to say next. The Mischief God smirked before beginning to speak. "I am Loki, of Asgard." He said. "And it seems winter isn't truly so far away, doesn't it?" The half-Jotun gestured out to New York, where only a mere fraction of the mighty Fimbulwinter contained in the Casket of Ancient Winters had consumed New York City.
Then, it clicked in the trickster's mind. The man was dressed in dark costume, with strange ears on his mask with a large symbol on his chest. This was Gotham's protector - the Batman. He had heard much of Batman from the many people he'd questioned as preparation for his invasion of Gotham. This was someone Loki knew was going to oppose him. Loki smirked and turned his back on Terry. "Certainly you understand that simply asking me to leave won't make me do so." He said, a definite mocking tone in his voice.
Just as he was about to launch an attack, a door opened behind him and someone started yelling about 'Heartless' and 'Kingdom Hearts'. Perhaps it was someone else who was trying to stop him? Loki turned around and saw that it was a Midgardian child who was yelling at him... and he seemed to be holding some kind of key-like weapon. "I summoned nothing." Loki said, wondering just what this child was doing. Certainly he didn't think he was capable of defeating Loki? Loki looked at the dragon then back to the boy. "You call that dragon a 'Heartless'. What does that mean?"

he asked as he looked at Loki and than to Sora. As the two talked, Loki mentioned Dragon and Terry looked up at the creature he.... they were talking about, "Great, a dragon." he comments as he looks at the two. "I hate to interrupt the two of you, but I want to know why you," gesturing to Loki. "Are causing the cold to arrive," he says simply. "And I'll ask what a Heartless is after I deal with him," he says simply to Sora as he looks at Loki. "So Loki, what's your deal? Your parents were not nice to you to give you a good name?" he asks him.[/blockquote][/ul]

The child she had seen before somehow ended up on the roof, and she turned to stare at him impatiently. He had seen her - was he here to fight as well? He was holding a... weapon, though she didn't recognize it as a sword or a gun. It hardly looked feasible, really, but could she underestimate anyone here? One of them had caused the frost that still gripped the city and made her feel sluggish, and even the child hadn't truly run for help, or tried to get away from her. No, instead he had come up here, which meant... she couldn't afford to overlook any of them.
Thinking calmly was becoming difficult. It didn't help that despite their posturing, and the tension in the air, none of them were attacking each other - it would have been easy to rush in then, if one of them had started it.
But no, Makya was left, wishing fervently that she could just identify one as a threat and move, while they talked. At least the first armoured one introduced himself, and as usual, none of them even thought to consider that she could understand them. So she eavesdropped, noting Loki's almost smug tone - he had proclaimed himself with such pride, like he was laying claim with his name alone - and the way the child kept calling her a Heartless, whatever that meant. Of course she had a heart. How could she be alive and breathing, otherwise? But humans were strange normally, and in this world seemed to even stranger than before. Perhaps it was best to just accept their eccentricities. It wasn't like it really mattered.
The other man didn't seem to be concerned with her presence, which chafed a little. She was a Dragon-type, and would have been fearsome even without any training - but she had become one of the strongest of her kind. How could he just... overlook her, in favour of another human? Taking a few steps forward, she raised her arms and growled, as much to remind them of her presence as to goad one of them into doing something. She was so cold - surely she would feel better once they started fighting.

Sora's posture became less defensive as he listened to Loki's words. He didn't understand, if Loki didn't summon the creature with the cold, then where did it come from? And the man in the bat costume, he too called it a "dragon" like Loki had.
What on Earth was going on here? What kind of world was this? And what or where was Asgard? Another world like his island?
He froze when he heard the growling noises coming from the dragon. He took a step back when the creature moved closer and raised its arms in an offensive manner. This gave him a good opportunity to take a look at her chest area.
Normally, a Heartless symbol would have been placed there...if she was a Heartless. However, he was wrong again, the creature wasn't a Heartless, just a dragon. He wondered if she was like the little Mushu fellow he learned how to Summon back when he heavily used magic.
There was no harm in trying to talk to it, right?
Especially if he could try and reason with the dragon that he wasn't trying to hurt her.
"Hi, uh, hello. Can you...can you understand us...at all? Ah, I don't want to hurt you, uh you're a dragon right?" Sora asked, lowering the Keyblade.

"Why?" Loki asked, giving a smirk to Terry. "I seek to conquer this world and this city is one that is considered important. Mostly because of you... the Batman. How predictable it is that you come, really. I was counting on it, actually..." The God of Mischief took a step towards Terry, looking him over. He looked much like he'd heard the Batman described. He wore the same dark suit he'd heard much about. But, he hardly expected Gotham's 'Dark Knight' to be handing out snide comments as if he were Tony Stark. Loki raised an eyebrow, re-evaluating the Batman in his mind. He looked like a young mortal, not the sort of person who could terrorize the criminals of Gotham for as many years as he had apparently been doing it. No, this wasn't the Batman... this was some sort of impostor.
Loki turned back to the boy, who was apparently trying to talk to the dragon. This boy was clearly a fool of fools. One didn't simply adress a dragon as if it were able to communicate you. You either ran if you were cowardly or weak or attempted to fight it if you were brave... or foolish. Loki had a rather hard time placing how powerful this dragon was. It was certainly not any type of dragon he had seen before. However, Loki's travels were not as extensive as Thor's... he preferred to stay in Asgard instead of straying from it on adventurous quests, as Thor had done many a time. Loki regretted not traveling alongside Thor now. He would've known much more of the creatures that had been arriving in Midgard through the rifts if he had.

Looks at Loki as he approaches "Than I will just have to stop you. And I know there will be people to stop you;" he comments as he looks at him before he turns "FOr the record, I am not gonna let you take over anything in Gotham nor the world, and I am sure what happened in New York is a good indication of what happens when people try to take over" he adds as he gets ready for a fight to start, moving and placing himself between Loki and the others on the roof.
"The human race is not one to take being conquered sittign down, as there are always those who will step up to fight," he mentions. "Sometimes it is harder than you think," he adds as he stands there. For now he stands there and waits to see what Loki does.

Surprisingly, it was the child who paid her any attention. He was old enough to have been a trainer in her own world, with Pokemon of his own - but instead he was here, brandishing some giant key as a weapon and looking completely out of place on this rooftop. Makya supposed she was hardly supposed to be here either, when it came to that. Arching her neck, she stared unblinkingly at him as he spoke, assuring her that he meant no harm. That was no good. Tension itched along her bones and through her scales - too much anger, too much fear, too much everything.
Only a fight would do.
Still, he deserved an answer, didn't he? She turned to him and nodded, more of a sharp jerk of her head. That both indicated she understood and that she was a dragon, and then, with a lash of her tail, she whirled back on the posturing humans. They were still at it, one proclaiming his territory and the other defending it but it was all just words, puffs of air that seemed so small when put against the frost that crept over the city. Didn't that count as an attack, an opening move in a battle? Why had they not gone on with it?
Shaking her head in sharp disapproval, she focused on the one who had caused the ice. The cold was making her temper worse, and she could feel it weakening her slowly - not enough to affect how she fought, but if she stayed here too long, healing would be slower. She hated/i] the cold. Straightening up, she focused, the edges of her fins and the claws that tipped them taking on a faint sheen, glowing with her inner power. "You," she rasped to Loki, voice guttural and abrupt. There was no other way to explain, and humans always needed explanations for things that any Pokemon could have clearly seen and noticed. "End this." And she gestured with an arm at the frost and the cold that seethed in the air.
Explanation and warning given, she lunged forward, crossing the short distance of the rooftop in a heartbeat. Even that movement made her feel a little better as she struck out with one hard-edged fin, both the edge of it and the claw itself sharpened and lengthened by her energy. In a way, it almost didn't matter if she hit - surely he would understand her meaning and stop. And if he didn't, well... she needed a fight, after all.
