POSITIVEHenry Mills;;Aww, look what a little bit of honesty can do for a relationship. Now that Regina's fully come clean with Henry, they're doing a lot to repair the broken relationship they once had - and let's be honest, I don't think I need to spell it out. Regina loves this kid to
death. He is the one person who can always, no matter what the circumstances, put a smile on her face. He's bright and brave and determined, and she absolutely could not be more proud of him. Just
try and tell her that Henry 'isn't her kid' - go on, I dare you. She may not have given birth to him, but she's raised him from the time he was an infant. Possibly out of some need to make up for the lack of affection she herself endured as a child, but also just because she flat-out
adores Henry, she's an entirely different person around him - warm, supportive, and unhesitatingly affectionate. Regina of all people, who probably has the worst relationship with her birth mother out of anyone else in her life, knows that blood doesn't mean anything. You choose who your family is.
Oswin Oswald;;BFFS 5EVAH. I can't even with these two. Jemi and I agree that this is actually
the best bromance. I couldn't...really tell you how it developed, because I don't even know, but what I do know is that Regina does not make friends easily - and yet, Oswin has become one of the most important people in her life. That's not to say they don't have their differences. As headstrong and stubborn and
horrible at communicating as they both are, it's a wonder that they're even friends at all, but somehow, they are. Oswin is one of the few people that Regina not only trusts enough to open up almost completely around - but to give her life for without hesitation. She's also one of those people who Regina's extremely protective of, so I wouldn't threaten her unless you want a pissed off sorceress on your tail. regina pls. Also, the fact that it's pretty much officially become their job to give snarky commentary on the ICC should be mentioned.
and I'm leaving this song here HA HA HA NOT SORRYThe Rest of Team TARDIS;;She's certainly not as close to the rest of them as she is Oswin, but she certainly respects and likes them well enough. Regina's really not the type that's won over by heroic deeds and all that
crap. In fact, she has a bit of disdain for most heroic types because of everything she's been through with Charming and Snow and Charming and Emma and ESPECIALLY CHARMING OMFG. But even so, she has to admit - the folks on the TARDIS aren't so bad. The Doctor, especially, is a person she has quite a bit of respect for.
Mithos;;MENTOS PLS. How do you even describe this relationship? You don't. Except I'm going to try anyway. Regina was actually kinda sorta really pissed at Mithos for awhile, because he tricked her. But um. It's kind of difficult to stay pissed at someone when you realize how strikingly
similar the two of you are. I wouldn't call what she feels sympathy, because Regina knows all too well how unbearable pity is. But she does feel quite a bit of
empathy for him, and has mostly, by this point, given up trying to hide that. She really, really wants to believe that there's a way she can help him - that she can help him change, maybe not to become a better person (because who the fawk cares about heroes and stuff ew) but...a happier person? That's all she really wants to see. A part of her feels like if she fails to help him, then it just proves that she herself - having become evil for reasons very similar to Mithos - doesn't have much hope for changing either. She knows better than most people what it feels like to be entirely
alone, to not have any one willing to fight for you, and if nothing else she just wants to show Mithos that she
is willing to fight to help him. And also sometimes she may actually forget that he's not a twelve year old and that she's not supposed to be all maternal and protective and loloops.
Jefferson;;Well look at that, Regina, maybe moving on from Daniel
is possible. Maybe. Her feelings for Jefferson are...complicated. They have a long history, and not all of it's been good. But she does feels bad about the things she's done to him, and has been working to make it up to him, and from that have stemmed some actual...
romantic feelings? Whoa, Regina, don't strain yourself there. Truth be told, all of this scares her a bit. Or more than a bit. The last thing she wants is to get hurt in the same way she was with Daniel, and it's been a
long time since she's had an actual healthy relationship, so she's not even really sure how they...work, anymore. But she's willing to try, for him. There are a lot of issues Regina has with distancing herself from people, so she's always known that any sort of romantic relationship with any one would take time to develop - but she's already begun to let down some of her walls around Jefferson. And they've kissed. And danced together. And Regina got dangerously close to getting all girly and giggly. Aww <3.
call her out on it and she'll kill youMituna;;Mituna is just the best okay. Regina can't help but kind of love him. Even if she's constantly having to keep him from falling over and pulling him out of things when his horns get stuck, she really doesn't mind too much because he keeps going and doing adorable things. And he, big surprise, has a tendency to trigger her maternal instincts. It's good for her, though, to have someone to fret over who's not like "YOU'RE NOT MY FUCKING MOTHER!" And she's totally making him a scarf and mittens and a hat with two holes in it for his horns for Christmas. So um. There's that.
Garchomp;;When your bros with a dragon, you know you're awesome. So yeah. Regina actually respects Garchomp quite a bit, and probably likes her better than she does quite a few humans - and they're both way over-protective of Oswin, so um, that unites them more often than not. Also, Regina kind of secretly approves of the fact that Garchomp's reaction to most things that piss her off are to just RIP SOME PEOPLE'S FACES OFF. She finds it a little refreshing.
Doctor Strange;;They don't really know each other all that well, but there was a time when he showed up and healed Regina's sprained wrist, and another time when he showed up and fought off Ayurale and and d'Eel after they almost killed her and Oswin. So yeah. Generally, Regina's pretty grateful to have him around.
Mysterious Jack;;I wouldn't call them friends or anything, and Regina's actually kind of wary of him, but um. He hasn't done anything to piss her off, and he does seem to know a lot about most of the ICC happens - and he insults Hazama. So those are all pluses in Regina's book, and she's secretly kind of taken a liking to him. That, and he's consistently formal and polite - jeez, at least
some people still have manners.
NEUTRALSANTA;;omfg Regina still doesn't even know what to think about the fact that he...actually exists. And she has no idea how to react to him, either, beyond going "omfg what". But all in all, he doesn't seem like such a bad guy - except now she's kind of scared that she might be on the naughty list. She never really considered that before. Oops.
Jack Frost;;actually they r worst enemiez he should be in the negative section B(. No but in all seriousness, these two kind of got off on the wrong foot, but Regina doesn't really dislike him or anything. An enemy of Pitch's is...well, maybe not a
friend of hers, but they could certainly be allies. Unless he hits her with more snowballs. THEN IT'S ON DDDD<
NEGATIVECora Mills;;cora pls. Regina doesn't run into her in the ICC very often, but when she does? It's never fun. It usually ends with Regina having some sort of inward panic attack, actually - usually because there are plenty of people around who she actually cares about who Cora could hurt. Being as protective as she is, and as terrified of Cora as she is, is a very difficult combination. Her instinct is to protect people from her mother, but that becomes somewhat difficult when she struggles to even protect herself most of the time. And as frightened as she is of Cora hurting someone, a small part of hurt is just a
bit afraid of Cora getting hurt in turn. Despite
everything, Regina still doesn't want to see her mother dead - unhealthy as their abusive relationship is, it's not an entirely loveless one.
Hazama;;Ew Hazama D<. He's trolled Regina successfully on several occasions, and she...really, really hates him at this point. Unlike Cora, she'd probably like nothing better to see him dead, so she has no qualms with watching someone else try to kill him - even if she'd rather be doing it herself. Most of what she feels towards Hazama is just loathing and anger, but a small part of her does fear what he might know about her. He has ways of getting information, after all, and being as closed off as she is - that's enough to make Regina feel a bit vulnerable. He's also played the 'ha ha ha wow you're just like your mother' card a couple of times, and that never goes over well.
Nyarlathotep;;GNARLY PLS. Okay, along with Cora and maybe Pitch, he's probably one of the very very select few people that actually kind of freaks Regina out. Mostly because she doesn't really have any way of hurting him, and he's so easily capable of hurting the people she cares about. She's never really had to...
deal with a god before, and she's honestly not sure how to handle that. Which makes her feel like she has a complete lack of control, which makes her feel somewhat self-conscious.
Pitch Black;;Pitch is...a very unique case. It's not like Regina's never been trolled before, far from it. But because he can read her fears, he knows exactly which buttons to push, and he hit a nerve that
no one has ever even touched before: the fact that she was raped repeatedly by her ex-husband. That's not something Regina talks about. That's not something she's even mentioned, to anyone, and no one would really have a way of knowing about it unless they could read deep into her mind. The fact that Pitch obtained that information within
seconds of knowing her made Regina more than a little freaked out - and it's difficult for her to actually take action against him, because she's afraid of who he'll tell.
Mr. Gold;;ew mt glod. Regina has a long, long rivalry with this man - who was originally the one to teach her magic. Right now, they have a sort of begrudging alliance because of the whole issue with Cora, but she's still not very fond of him. Gold is a person she's constantly on her guard with, who she wouldn't trust for even a moment. Whatever else happens, she'll never forget that he deliberately broke her and turned her into a twisted, evil person, just to get her to cast the curse for her. She trusted, respected, and even looked up to him at one point, when he was her mentor - to have that thrown back in her face, along with the fact that he continually trolls her to this day, is an issue that Regina doesn't frequently mention. But it's not one that she's ready to forgive, either.
Baelfire;;REGINA'S WORST ENEMY OMG!!!!1 actually no. Regina doesn't really hate Bae. But she hardly has a relationship that can be described as 'positive' with him, either. She does admire his courage and his loyalty, but his association with Gold just sort of leads to dislike by association. That, and Bae always sasses her. All the time. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Belle;;omfg regina seriously, who could dislike
belle. Once again, Regina doesn't actually hate her, but she's far from liking her. Regina has a difficult time believing that Belle's kindness towards everyone is actually...genuine, and she's a bit resentful of the fact that Mr. Gold gets to have his true love and happy ending after everything he did to her. Also, there's the fact that Regina, y'know, locked Belle up in an asylum for twenty-eight years. She does feel sort of guilty about that.
Richard;;So these two haven't had a
whole lot of interaction, but Regina's already seen enough of him to disapprove of him quite vehemently. She's a very organized, reserved person who doesn't typically appreciate chaos (well, unless she's the one causing it), and the careless, casual way Richard uses his magic really kind of just bothers her. That, and the fact that he could quite evidently be a threat, if he felt like it.
Loki;;Ew Loki you trolled Oswin. You've trolled a lot of people, actually. Regina doesn't trust him in the slightest, and as a former queen who ruled with subtlety and strategic political know-how, she really kind of looks upon his forceful, openly haughty attempts to take over the world with a bit of disdain and exasperation. Even if he is sort of a God. Although lately, it's worth noting that she's a little uncertain of what to think of him. She thought she saw a
touch of humanity in Loki after Hazama trolled Mithos, but she can't be entirely sure. And it confuses her.
Ayurale;;Considering he broke into the TARDIS and attempted to destroy it, nearly killing Oswin in the process...he is most certainly not one of Regina's favorite people in the world. If she saw him again, she'd likely just be like "LOL WELP TIME TO KILL YOU" unless she could be reasoned with, because really...she's had yet to see anything positive from him.
d'EelFAK U D'EEL YOU STABBED HER WITH A POISONED BLADE THING AND NEARLY KILLED HER AND YOU SHOT OSWIN TWICE. that is all.
Death;;He's...someone Regina's a bit hesitant to confront, because seriously, who would go and pick a fight with
Death? Still, despite his calm demeanor and the fact that he doesn't typically bother anyone in the ICC, Regina doesn't like him. Not one bit. He took Daniel from her, and made her feel robbed of her happy ending (she hadn't done anything
wrong - why did she have to suffer when everyone else was promised happiness?). So yeah. There's that.
Snow White;;H8 U SNOW D<. No but um. Actually, there's been some improvement here, surprisingly. Not much, but...baby steps, right? At least Regina's not actively trying to make her life miserable anymore - mostly because of Henry. But also, there's the fact that lately, Cora's around, which puts Snow in danger, which has provoked Regina's mama bear instincts because Snow is still the stepdaughter she raised despite everything else. Even so, Regina hasn't really forgiven Snow. Before she can actually do that, someone has to convince her that JFC SNOW WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU SHE DIDN'T DO IT TO MANIPULATE YOU INTO BEING HER STEPMOTHER.
Rory/NinaShe thought he was a woman and then it turned out HE WAS A MAN. Can you really trust anyone?
