Age: 47
Archetype: Villain

Personality: Icebat is very, very unstable, prone to fits of wild rage and launching into horrible winding tangents and spress of destruction and simple....flailing and screaming. When he manages to keep his cool, he's a remarkably personable fellow, though the slightest things can set him off, and he's got it firmly fixed in his head he's a genius and one of the best villains out there.

History: Born Young Il-Dae Gangaun, and just shortly after the end of the Korean war, Icebat's young life was not pleasant. Stuck under a strict regime, partly by his parents, and partly because of just where he was, he didn't have what you would call a 'good' childhood.

At just under the age of ten, however, his parents managed to get him out of the country, and he inevitably wound up in America. There, his life improved exponentially, and he had some semblance of normalcy. He grew up, and became a semi well-respected member of society.

He eventually made his way into the field of science, most notably chemistry, and became somewhat well-known in the scientific community. After stumbling across a formula designed to provide powers to a normal human being, he delved into creating said formula, based entirely on notes and theories he had discovered.

It was a success, and in a field test, he tried it on himself. However, the formula had a nasty surprise. It worked, but it caused a very violent muscle spasm, causing him to knock over the table he had laden with many chemicals, showering himself in the substances.

This exposure to the chemicals, combined with his previous ingestion of the formula, altered its intended purpose, theoretically making its effects permanent, but also causing mental degredation.

In his new, mentally insane state, Young Il-Dae Gangaun was dead, as far as he was concerned. And after seeing a 'shape' in the chemicals which had spilled onto the floor, he took a new name: Icebat.

Designing himself a suit and gaining enough control over his powers to get by on, Icebat was set to go, and immediately set his sights on gaining a group of henchpeople, which he did, in relatively short order.

And now he was, at least in his eyes, 'ready to become a true villain', and set out to make himself known, in the most obvious way possible

Powers/Abilities:

• Cryokinesis: Due to a rather strange accident, which makes no sense whatsoever, Icebat gained the ability to control ice. Via this, he is able to do a great deal of things, although he lacks any real control, so his powers are somewhat limited.
  
• Cold Resistance: Due to his accident, Icebat is extremely resistant to cold temperatures, and can survive in temperatures as low as -200 Farenheit unaided, and actually finds cold climates particularly comfortable.
  
• Icebat Armor: A suit of armor created by Icebat. It encases him in a cold environment so that he may survive out in the world where it isn't always so cold, and also provides other purposes. Namely, it is bulletproof, and flame retardant, and enhances his physical strength to enable him to press up to ten tons, and also 'accelerates' him, enabling him to hit nearly sixty miles an hour at a dead sprint. The armor also has a pair of wings, which are fully functional for flight, and greatly resemble the wings of a bat, to stick true to his new alias.
  
• Cold Aura: Not very pronounced, but for several feet around, there is an aura of cold, which is roughly twenty degrees farenheit through his Icebat Armor.
  
• Ice Blasts: Icebat can fire blasts of pure ice, usually in the form of streams of supercooled air which freezes upon impact, or in the form of a stream of shards of ice, or just a large chunk of ice fired at high velocity.
  
• Ice Constructs: While he's not very skilled at it, Icebat can create verious constructs of ice, including basic weapons, platforms, pillars and spires, large 'boulders' of ice, and many other simple things. With more practice and control, he could possibly create very intricate shapes and constructs, though as said already, he lacks and real control or precision as of yet.
  
• Basic Fighting Skill: Before his 'accident', Icebat had trained in Karate, acheiving a black belt, and had moderate skills in basic brawling, as well as a bit of Aikido stick-fighting under his belt. He's better than the average nut off the street, but still not a real threat.
  
• Knowledgeable Scientist: Icebat was a knowledgable enough scientist to have created the formula which is partially responsible for his powers on his own, with only minor notes on it.
  
• Very Creative: In a strange way. Icebat was able to come up with the name 'Icebat' for one, as well as design his suit. And he's just...strangely creative in other ways.

Weaknesses:

• Heat: Like all wielders of ice and cold, Icebat is notoriously vulnerable to high temepratures and fire and the like.
  
• Unstable: Icebat is extremely unstable, prone to wild fits of rage which can be just as damaging to him as they are to the surroundings -- he once started to beat his skull against a wall in a fit of rage.
  
• Incompetent: Icebat is something of a genius, that's no lie. But he is also rather...incompetent. That he managed to get anywhere near as far as he has is nothing short of a miracle.
