Personality: Raphael has always had a behavior control problem against anger. At times he can flip out into a rage, but this makes him a fierce competitor against his enemies. He is the most truculent of his brothers. In spite of his aggressive personality, he is amiable, kind hearted, and feels a soft spot for people in need. Nevertheless, he has antagonism towards the police. He believes that they're not trying hard enough to take control over the crime in the city, so he often takes law into his own hands by assisting the helpless who need it. He does so even at the expense of compromising his family's presence in the city.

In Character RP Sample
It was a gloomy night in New York City, with vacant streets, except the occasional cab every now and then. The sidewalks empty with innocent pedestrians, but merely only the drug dealers and gangs out an about though, since this was the perfect time for them to engage in criminal activity. Not only was there drug dealers and gangs out and about, but there was also a mutant turtle with an attitude out as well. Raphael always took the opportunity to disguise himself as a normal pedestrian in a trenchcoat and hat, then travel the city, simply because he hated the sewers. He spent damn near all his life in the sewers ever since the day he was found by Master Splinter, so he had t cure his boredom by experiencing the city.
Raphael was on his way back home, knowing that if he stayed out to late, then he would hear an earful of preaching from Master Splinter, and he wasn't in the mood for that right now. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, as Raphael is quickly walking down the sidewalk, he is joined by a gang of thugs. These gang bangers were like bugs, they were everywhere, and just when you thought you've squashed them, they still keep coming back. The leader of the gang pulled out a switchblade, showing it off to Raphael. He wasn't amused at all, but was being very cautious at the moment. "Give me your money, and I won't have to cut you! I swear I'll do it man! I'll cut you up!" Raphael eyed the switchblade, then made a sarcastic laugh. "You call that thing a weapon? A puny little knife that couldn't even slice bread! You and your gang of pansies are making a *huge* mistake!" Raphael rasped out in an angry voice. "I'll tell you what, since I'm in a decent damn mood tonight, if you get the hell outta' my way, then I won't have to--*kick* you rejects from here all the way to Timbuktu!" The gang's leader pointed at Raphael with an grin, then spoke. "You're dead. Get em' bo--" Before the gang's leader had the chance to finish, he was struck in the face with a roundhouse kick by Raphael. The kick sent the gang's leader soaring threw the air, then crashed into a pile of garbage. His gang of goons suddenly begin to attack Raphael, but he was quick to put out an offense of attack on them using his skills taught to him by Master Splinter.
Raphael pulled out his Sai blades, using them to fight with, but never to kill. Only to strike, not stab, but merely just as one would use brass knuckles, or to block with. One of the goons pulled Raphael's hat off, revealing his head and face. Upon seeing that he was a strange looking mutant turtle, the goons were dumbfounded momentarily. "What's wrong? Never seen a mutant turtle before?" Raphael connects with another roundhouse kick, sending another goon crashing threw a shop window, which sounded the alarm. "I guess you have now, *but* not at the moment! Strike, you're outta' here!" There were only two left, and as they both came charging toward Raphael, he simply side stepped both of them. He grabbed both of their heads in sync, then headbutted them together. They were both knocked out cold with a vicious headbutt, then fell to concrete. "Amateurs!" Police sirens were just a few blocks away, so Raphael was more than ready to leave. Before he left, he picked up hat, punching one the goons in the face who were trying to get up while doing so. Raphael put his hat back on, then took off to the sewer manhole cover. He opened it up, climbed down the ladder, but before he shut it back, he waited. Within moments, the police arrived to see the gang with the shop's window busted, which looked like a robbery gone bad. Before shutting the sewer manhole cover, Raphael proceeded to watch the police subdue the gang stealthy. After the police took the gang away, Raphael finally shut the sewer manhole cover and went home.

Raphael is a master of ninjutsu and stealth due to his ninja training. His training has also given him Olympic-level athletic skill, speed, agility and strength. He is also a master of Kobudo and his twin sai. His sarcastic and quick-tempered personality gives him added aggression in battle.

Main/Important Equipment
Sai - The sai is Raphael's weapon of choice, which is a defensive truncheon originating in Okinawa. It's often mistaken for a dagger. In traditional sai combat, they are carried in pairs. One is used for blocks and trapping weapons, while the other is used for striking, mostly with the knuckle.

Raphael has a behavior control issue, an aggressive temper, which sometimes can cause him to make a wrong decision, or a decision that he may regret later on. For instance, when he attempted to find Master Splinter without his brothers, or under Leonardo's guidance. He loves his brothers very much, and would do anything to make sure they're safe, but his hot-headed temper can get in the way at times. His aggression makes him the strongest of the four turtles, but it also can effects his consideration.
Physical Flaws...
Despite being a mutant turtle, Raphael is still susceptible to harm just like humans without any super powers. This is means that Raphael can be shot, stabbed, burned, etc. Plus, being a mutant turtle, it causes most people to become apprehensive of him at first.

History....
From the beginning, Raphael has been displayed as the self-sufficient one, rather than the rest his brothers. It started when he expressed his judgment of hatred about living down in the sewers, also that he adored being able to witness the city sky, which his brothers didn't seem to have a problem with it, but Master Splinter did. Master Splinter never wanted any of the turtles to be seen by humans, because they were outcast, and mutants who could frighten people into thinking they were freaks. Master Splinter didn't want any negative attention brought toward them. Raphael was soon selected by Master Splinter to deliver a message to the Shredder, in which he infiltrated the Foot headquarters, defeated the majority of the guards, and left behind one of his sai blades in the process with a note attached to it. The note was a challenge to the Shredder, which informed him on a duel to the death. Alongside his three brothers, he fought the Foot, and the Shredder. They successfully subdued the Foot, while supposedly killing the Shredder.
Some time later, as it's well known by now, that Raphael is quick-tempered, since his behavior control issues have always caused drama amongst his family. He had always been the closest to his youngest brother, Mikey (Michelangelo), but during a sparring session with him, Raphael lost control and attacked him. He struck Mikey with a monkey wrench, immediately feeling remorse, as it took his other two brothers to keep him under control. Raphael felt so remorseful of his actions that he ran away disappointed in himself at the thought that he could have seriously harmed Mikey and began lamenting that he couldn't control his anger problem. While out in the city at night, he encounters a vigilante, who's name is Casey Jones. He witnesses him violently attacking some criminal muggers. Raphael interferes and addresses Casey for his deficiency of control, but Casey quickly responds, saying that he doesn't believe that the turtle is any different than he is. Raphael informs Casey that he attempts to control his anger and that he tries his very best to do so. This encounter causes the two to befriend one another and start a crime fighting association.
Not long after, when Master Splinter becomes captured by Shredder, Raphael becomes the most willing one to go on a rescue mission, demanding that they go after Master Splinter without any prudence of what could become of them, or Master Splinter. During their exile in Northampton, he would be the first one to wake up in the morning and the last one to go to sleep at night, because of how much he missed Master Splinter. His days consisted of spending time around Casey being mischievous and amusing, including trying to fix up an old truck, while they continuously insulted one another. His nights were spent on the roof of the farm house barn, which he done so to keep guard over his family from the Foot and Shredder.
It wasn't long afterwards that Raphael and his brothers along with Casey and April O'Neil returned to New York. Raphael, his brothers, and Casey all rescue Master Splinter successfully. He and his brothers once again had to fight Shredder, but this time Master Splinter attacked Shredder, sending him falling from the roof to down into the back of a garbage truck to be presumed dead. Now that everything was back to normalcy, Raphael had since resolved any issues with his brothers, but still continues to battle his anger problem. He tends to choose the city life, but it soon changed when he was suddenly brought into this new place.
