You know, Scott heard a lot of stories about America. Living up north with little to no money meant that the stories would have to do, because a trip to the country would have cost him too many CANADIAN DOLLARS. However, thanks to Ramona and her subspace shenanigans or whatever actually happens or something, he was here. He didn't know, but he was here. This is where the door lead him. Mr. Pilgrim was unfamiliar with this place, though. It was definitely not Toronto, that's for sure, and it was much warmer than it. He felt like he was wearing too much with his large blue parka and baggy pants and ugh, where the hell was he? He kind of just stood there, captured by all of the lights and the sounds, holding Ramona's hand like a doofus.
"...wooooooaahh..."
"Are you okay?"
Scott stared up at a large sign - a sign for...well he didn't know but it didn't matter and stuff. It was all so large and slightly scary, quite a change from his quiet city back home. Well, uh, this was home now he supposed. There was nothing left for them back in Canada, but he suspected that they weren't going to be able to go back anyway. Not that he wanted to though.
"Huh? Oh uh...yeah. I'm juuust dandy."
They began to walk down the street, apparently headed in no true direction other than to walk. Where were they going to stay? What were they going to do? Scott needs a new job now, an...American job. America. It just sounded vast and grand, and it kind of was - and he had only seen this city! And not even a whole lot of it! He was distracted by EVERYTHING - looking at street signs, vendors, stores, etc. Ramona just smiled at him and kept walking, half-wondering what was going on inside his head.
Not much was going on inside of his head though, to be honest. He was beginning to develop the need to urinate and his stomach was beginning to growl...does America have Coffee stores? Or is that a Canadian thing? He really had no idea. Not anymore, at least. ...Oh crap, he just remembered, he didn't have any American money! He had lots of Canadian coins though. Defeating bosses was quite rewarding. Didn't pay the bills but it was a decent amount...for most of them at least.
"Lets see if there's anything here that we could occupy ourselves with..."
"...I'm occupied with looking at everything. Is this really America?"
She replied with a giggle, although a giggle is not what Scott needed right now. WELL AMERICA, were you ready for this amazingly bad-ass Canadian?! ...Yeah, lets just leave it at that.
