New York, sure was a sight to behold for the weary assassin. He'd seen a lot of work within the perimeters of this city. Many of his contracts were on various people of wealth from around here, politicians, drug kingpins, public officials. Venom took any job so long as he knew there was money in it for him and the risk wasn't too high and without compromising his morals. Yes, the ruthless killer of the assassin's guild himself kept a strict moral code. No children and no collateral damage.
Venom was clad in his ever present white suit. It practically glistened in the sunlight as he strolled along the somewhat busy streets, gripping onto his briefcase bearing the same eye symbol that was dyed into his long, white hair. Venom's teal eyes glancing across various people giving him strange looks due to his somewhat out of place looks within a city like this. He truly was a sight to behold.
"Hmm... I could honestly do with some refreshment.." Venom said to himself, an arm crossed along his waist as he spied a small restaurant nearby with some tables outside. He strolled elegantly to one and flicked his long hair from his face, sitting down as a waiter quickly came by to take his order. "Green salad, no dressing. glass of your finest Isla Negra. Thank you." Venom spoke in his sophisticated British accent. He had somewhat of a sophisticated taste as well, blame it on growing up in a mansion with Zato-1; a rich Spanish assassin who only enjoyed the finer things.
The waiter soon brought it in to Venom. He nodded politely and took a few sips of his wine, staring off at the hustle and bustle of the city. He'd be lying if he said the thought of being one of those regular guys didn't interest him. Part of him longed to end this career of murder and just lead an everyday life. Soon, Venom finished up and paid, leaving a decent tip as it was only the classy thing to do in such an occasional. He grabbed his briefcase containing his pool cue once again and walked away from the establishment. "I can tell this is going to be a good day."...

Holding onto her grumbling stomach, as much as she wanted to go ahead and literally curse the mean person who called her a devil girl not too long ago...she couldn't. All that hunger and angry stomach talk was making being alive a tough task. Casting curses on her peers wasn't exactly a cake walk when you're on day two of no food! Clenching her grip tightly onto the crumpled up flyer which was the last one...maybe if the circus had enough revenue she could get a decent meal that didn't come out of the trash can or a rodent. Never could she bring herself to eat a cat, but mice and rats...er...as long as they didn't have rabies...might as well cook em' up! Pick pocketing wasn't as easy these days when almost everyone had their hands over their pockets and purses, that was for sure. With a somewhat fluffy black cat which had large blue eyes following her looking a little grumpy, the two had a small, telepathic chat...
"Why don't you try...oh I don't know...steal some food? Hm? Sounds like a good idea...doesn't it?" "B-But Juju...hungry people are more alert and I don't think I can stand up for myself right now if they get mad at me..." Frowning a bit, the girl with ruby red optics and powder red slits in the middle of them let out a soft...and rather pathetic whimper knowing how hard it was to actually fight on a REALLY empty stomach. Those puffy sleeves with x's on the shoulders bounced ever so slightly with every step and those blue bands around her arms, wrists and ankles seemed like they should be shinning a little more than they did. Trudging along the streets, even her baggy socks looked like they were lazily put on with the way they hung over her blue, white, and pink laced shoes...which...had an oddly thick sole toe them, about five inches tall which made her five ten rather than her true height of five feet and five inches. Even with a black x patch on her chest to match her clips...it almost seemed like this girl was obsessed with that shape...or...letter.
Her shirt looked long enough to be one of those short dresses but she had a pair of black spandex shorts which....also...had...x's on the sides ending about two inches away from her knees. The cat behind her with a collar similar to the one around the girl's neck...but...smaller...looked over to the man who practically glistened like a shining ray of hope as he exited the eating establishment. "Sphinx, try advertising to the man wearing a lot of white...you know the one who looks like the light at the end of a tunnel when you die..." "Huh...well he looks kind of rich......" Quickening her pace to catch up to him, the albino looking girl painfully squeaked out "Sorry to bother y-you...M-misterrrr....but..please come to the circus...? I wanna have enough wages to eat normal food again...rats taste so horribleeee...." while using her knuckles to gently paw at his back so that he knew she was talking to him and not some other fellow.
On the verge of tears, she looked up at him with those big red kitty eyes that made her seem like a sad, sad kitten or something that only wanted a little bit of food. "...I think you screwed up." ....and so then she actually was on the verge of tears...Juju was such a jerk sometimes! The flyer itself had a bunch of people including the girl who was holding the very cat which was following her...save for the fact there was an x painted over her mouth and upon her cheeks then some individuals who ranged from demonic looking to plain old strange people that looked as though they may have some sort of powers. What was the name spanning across the top? `Hell's Bells Traveling Circus`....with a name like that it was no wonder it was hardly a success and didn't bring in enough for all the workers to get money...

As Venom strolled along he felt a slight pressing sensation on his back while what seemed like a young girl's voice spoke something indistinct to him. "Whatever could this be?" Venom thought to himself, quickly whipping around, gracefully on one foot as he looked at the girl before him. "Rats... circus? My my, you must have it hard. It's hardly fair for me to ignore the pleas of a starving child." Venom spoke out in his sophisticated accent. It really was one way to break his cold demeanour, someone young and innocent looking who seemed troubled. After all, Venom was once that way himself during his youth until Master Zato took him in.
"Now then, tell me what's wrong. We can't have you eating rats, that's barbaric." Venom spoke the last part in a disgusted tone, horrified that the young girl had to resort to such a disgusting practice. Venom, folded his arms, one of his hands idly holding the briefcase holding his dismantled pool cue. He wasn't quite sure how he was going to go about helping this girl but if she was lost and alone with an empty stomach it was only the decent thing to help her in any way possible.
Venom stared more at the young girl and her delightful look she'd given herself. If Venom could appreciate one thing, it's someone with a brilliant fashion sense. Venom often prided himself on the custom clothing he wore, having it made only by the finest tailors he could find and owning multiple white cotton suits as they often ended up ruined by the end of a particularly nasty fight. However, with the amount of money the Assassin's Guild brought in they were easily replaced each time. He also made it known he'd never wear the drab white robes the lower members were to wear, finding them dull and boring.

Cranky grumbling from her stomach sounded for a moment telling her to feed it and to feed it ANYTHING even if it was rats Juju caught again! While staring and waiting, fighting the urge to use her abilities to scare the living hell out of someone for a bite to eat...the man's turn was so graceful! More graceful than a ballerina, definitely more refined! Especially when he spoke in spoke in such a sophisticated fashion. With a small cat-like smile curving across her lips since he wasn't going to ignore her! Sure, she had to agree with him that life didn't exactly treat her kindly but the circus was one of the best things that happened to she and Juju. "I take that back, you're actually making some sort of progress even though he really didn't NEED to know you normally eat rats...."
"HE'S A NICE MAN AFTER ALL!" "Focus, Sphinx..." The black cat with peculiar sky blue optics took a seat next to the girl's foot and looked up at the man. Strange...the eye on his hair and brief case...they seemed just a bit familiar to him but he wasn't sure from what. Oh well...he didn't seem malicious so it wasn't any of Juju's concern at the moment to try figure out information to protect his human. Plus, as they both noted, he actually seemed like he wanted to help! That was better than getting anyone just to spend a few bucks on the circus of what most saw as freaks!
"Ummm...my cat Juju and I are with a traveling circus...they provide us shelter, food, and a little bit of pay when they have enough people visiting but lately people don't like going to the circus as much...so we've been on the streets where we can find shelter. I prefer to sleep in trees...alley ways are icky and lots of mean people try to hurt us." Explaining her situation in a nervously sweet fashion, she dropped her arms to their sides letting the powdery red portions of her eyes shift to thin slits since the sun was starting to get to her. Nice thing about her eyes is she could adjust how much light can get taken in like adjustable shades...though it freaked out a lot of people. "I don't really like eating from trash cans or rodents without something to take away the gross taste...so I use my money from the circus to get a meal for Juju and I to share then spices so squirrels and rats don't taste too nasty when I prepare them. Payment has been kinda scarce...but it's my only job since people don't wanna hire me cause they say my eyes are scary and um...not good for business...as a lotta people put it..."
Weakly bringing a hand up to point over at her eyes, she frowned slightly before wincing from stomach pains. As for the demon cat...he figured he'd help his human out by letting out an adorably pathetic mew as though to ask for help in kitty talk. Ack! Right! She didn't introduce herself but all this time Juju was known! Lowering her hand from her eye level to offer a handshake while speaking in the same tone, but a bit more embarrassed... "Eeep...um...I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself sooner! My name is Sphinx, it's nice to meet you mister!" Throwing a bit of enthusiasm with a cat-like smile toward the end, she hoped he wasn't going to get all freaked out about her being a homeless person. That...normally didn't bode well with people since they automatically thought the worst!
Honestly she was hygienic and HATED being icky so it's not like she was smelly or something...

Venom stared down at the peculiar yet adorable young girl, his teal eyes squinting ever so slightly due to the bright sun. It was incredibly strange how this girl had simply just came right up to him, often people avoided Venom due to his strange look and the fact that the few people that did recognize him were often the ones that knew of his past crimes and wanted to bring him to justice. Venom had to smile at the young girl saying how he was a nice man. Yes, innocence was something to be cherished in his eyes. Sure, Venom killed for a living and often had to do things others would call morally reprehensible but if one thing made him warm inside it was knowing he made a young girl happy. After all, Zato-1 did the very same for him during his youth and moulded him into the man he was today.
Venom flicked his hair from his face as he looked down at the girl, his lithe but tall frame meaning he had to look down quite a bit. His face now fully exposed, he felt it might be a bit easier for the girl talking to someone who didn't have hair covering their face completely. After all, it was an immaculate face. Venom was nothing short of beautiful and he knew it. He listened intently as the girl spoke about her employment at a circus and he had to find himself grimacing thinking of the mere fact this girl had to eat rats for sustenance. It was positively horrifying that she had to live in such a way. "Oh my, you're in quite the predicament, aren't you. Never fret, I can help you. Let me let you in on a secret, just you and me. I've been in the same spot you're in. I was a young and on my own and had to resort to thievery. I had no home, no parents. However, a good man took me in and made me who I am to this very day." Venom said in his usual posh manner.
When the girl mentioned her name, it didn't half bring a smile to his face. "Oh, what a delightful name. I do say, you and your little feline companion are quite a refreshing sight among the dreary locals." Venom put his case on the ground for a second, bowing down then raising himself back up again. "My name is Venom. I can tell you're hungry, you're going to waste away if you don't get something inside you that isn't a disgusting rodent. Would you care for anything in particular?" Venom said kindly.

Maybe she would have another friend today! It'd be nice to actually have friends aside from a demon cat and the circus people. Sure sure, all of them were really nice...well Juju was nicer that he used to be...but Juju was kind of snarky and the circus people had a tendency to be busy. Letting her thoughts drift on about how nice it'd be to have another friend...the nice man showed his face and...it was REALLY beautiful! Almost like something right out of the magazines or something! No wait, actually prettier than that since he looked like some sort of angel in a way...one that wasn't going to try and kill her or Juju! Those teal eyes were so pretty too!
.....though he didn't seem very thrilled nor happy about her eating rats. From what she could tell, the nice man in white really wanted to help her and....let her in on a secret? Blinking a couple of times, ignoring her nagging tummy, she leaned a bit forward, interested in what he was going to say. Wooooaaaah....wait....what?! This really nice, well-kept and mannered man was actually in a similar predicament to her before?! Unintentionally letting her eyes widen for a moment and a little surprised gasp of `REALLY?! WOW!` escape her before smiling brightly once again. Like it was nice to relate to someone...kinda anyway!
It was nice knowing that someone was kind enough to take him under his wing and made him a nice contributing part of society! Too bad she didn't run into nice people all the time...it was so troublesome making them pay and suffer for their cruelty based on such stupid things like how someone looks. "Looks like you got lucky this time, Sphinx." Commenting in the girl's thoughts, she DEFINITELY couldn't agree more! This was DEFINITELY a lucky little predicament! Plus he called her name delightful and didn't seem all sarcastic and rude about it! That and it seemed like he liked Juju too!
Which...the long haired cat with a slight bit of fluff to him purred to quite happily...this fellow he could approve of to be on his human's list of friends. The locals WERE dreary, the demon cat could definitely agree with that. Grabbing the corners of her big, somewhat baggy shirt, she crossed her legs slightly before bending her knees slightly showing off a petite little curtsy with a little giggle in response to his bow. Even though she didn't have a whole lot of manners, she picked up a few things and tried to implement them when someone actually deserved a display of genuinely kind treatment. Adjusting her posture back to normal, her stomach had an annoying stabbing pain which prompted her to hold her tummy. Trying to keep her smile upon her lips, it almost looked a little pained...yet...happy at the same time. Mostly because for a change she was feeling with a sense of happiness in the midst of her stomach retaliating in demand for some food.
Venom? Venom was his name and it sounded like he was going to get her food that WASN'T a street rodent! "Your name sounds nice like you do, mister Venom! I hope we can be friends and that I'll get to meet the man who raised you, he sounds like a great person to make you who you are now!" Pausing for a moment.....she then looked a little puzzled before continuing on... "U-um...but I don't normally go out for food....c-could we get something with meat, please? I'd be alright with something like a burger..." Squeaking out those words in a polite but appreciatively nice tone, she looked up to him...wondering if maybe she should let him in on her little secret which normally caused people to do and think one of two things: Get scared and call her something mean or call her crazy and shrug her off. ...must have been alright to consider telling him their little `secret` since Juju wasn't lecturing or snapping at her about how it could endanger them both.
Oh well, she'd hold off on that for a bit to make sure she wouldn't scare the nice person away!

Venom smirked at the young girl, his hips swayed to the side ever so slightly as one arm crossed over his stomach and another resting on his cheek. It was delightful chatting to such an adorable little girl, it was so nice to chat to someone who wasn't either attempting to assault him or arrest him. However, seeing this girl's face lighten up after telling his little story was absolutely fantastic. Usually, if he ever mentions his past it often makes the other person think lesser of him. Of course, he hadn't mentioned the assassination part but there was always time.
Venom grinned down at the purring cat a bit too, seems he made quite an impression on the both of them. Venom quite liked cats, feeling they were one of the most beautiful animals to ever exist. After all, he was brought up with much Egyptian imagery due to the Assassin's Guild being funded by underground Illuminati and so cats were quite fondness of his due to that.
During Venom's bow, he couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's curtsy. It was so nice to see manners in a young girl, it was almost quite fantastic to meet another human being that shared a similar life story to his own. However, it was worrying afterwards that the girl clutched her stomach in pain. "How long has she gone without eating, poor little thing." Venom thought to himself, looking almost concerned for her well being.
The white clad assassin just had to smile once again when the girl seemed very happy upon hearing his name. Often, people associated his name with death. It wasn't his birth name, he forgot that long ago. It was something Zato-1 picked for him when he was all but an amnesiac child living on the streets of London as a thief. "I hope we can be friends and that I'll get to meet the man who raised you, he sounds like a great person to make you who you are now!" those words shook Venom a bit, making him remember the Guild leader, Zato-1. He was the only man Venom had ever truly 'loved' he poured his heart and soul for him and through an unfortunate turn of events he was killed by an old guild member who was also his lover at the time. "Well, he really was a great man indeed. Venom almost looked saddened thinking about Master Zato-1 it was a true tragedy that such a great man was slain by a two bit traitor helping the Holy Order. I'd be a trashy lowlife without his tutelage and strict training." The last part making him smile once again, fondly remembering his training in the dark assassination arts.
"I can't say it's what I'd go for myself, but if you wish." Venom smiled to the young girl, setting sight on just where she can get herself a mean. "It's terribly unprofessional for a man of my work to not know his surroundings. But, do you have any idea the whereabouts of an establishment that would serve that kind of thing." Venom couldn't help but feel embarrassed about the fact he had no idea where a local fast food place would be. He always tended to dine on more 'finer' things due to his upbringing.

In all her life she met a mix of people, mean, nice, and just plain ol' cruel. This Venom fellow was certainly high ranking on her nice list and was so very happy about his company! It was like having another member in her surrogate family aside from the circus which was a nice change of pace, especially since they weren't completely sure how much longer they could run the show. On the inside, she was truly happy he seemed delighted about her little curtsy buuut....she felt bad about worrying him over her stomach pains but she couldn't control it too well without food! It was always so sad to see nice people become so much as a fragment of unhappy...they didn't deserve it. Mean people on the other hand deserved all forms of misery. Though when he said the fellow who helped him WAS a good man...she couldn't help but initially wonder if he died or something...that would suck a lot.
Especially with the hint of sadness he had...it wasn't right...all she could do is hope it was because of natural causes. If it wasn't and foul play was involved...she'd make whoever did it pay with their sanity and life, for sure! Tossing that one into the metaphorical file cabinet of things to keep in mind and look into maybe, she was relieved to see his smile come back when talking about how he would have been without the man who helped him. A big chunk of her brain was going YAY but figured she would offer a hug later for good measure later. Slightly tilting her head with a look of confusion upon his mention of not wanting something like a burger. Letting her arms flop in front of her while looking up at him, blinking a couple of times being sure to keep listening carefully. Huh...? He was apparently someone who should know their surroundings but didn't know where to find a burger?
Did that mean he was a delivery man of some sort? Bringing her hands up to her cheeks while a slight cat-like smile curved across her lips while speaking in a casually kind tone, "It's ok, Mister Venom! You look too clean and classy for burgers, that's just what I can afford for Juju and I to share on our wages when there's enough money to spare. I can take you to where we normally go...but first..." Putting on a bright smile, she held her arms out and slightly waved them up and down. "Do you want a hug? You look like you might need one...or do you not like hugs?"
Sounding a little confused toward the end as her smile shifted into one of slight nervousness, she squeaked out a soft giggle full of giddy uncertainty about the hug department. Juju on the other hand walked up to the white clad fellow and nuzzled his cheek a bit against his leg before rubbing his side in a sophisticated little kitty trot. Ah yes, he could tell this man held some heavy burdens...and since he was someone he approved of and Sphinx got along with...well...he offered a sense of feline comfort and even purred a bit as though to tell him `It's ok`.

Venom peered down at the young girl, a slight curious look on her face it seemed. Honestly, he had no idea what confused her so much but he had no issue with it in the slightest. After all, many things Venom did weren't the norm to other he's met. Venom simply smirked and folded his arms, tilting his head as he looked at the young girl. It was such a refreshing feeling being approached by someone who didn't want to fight and who seemed like a genuinely delightful person.
The white clad assassin couldn't help but chuckle when he saw the girl with a happy expression on her face once again and with her hands on her cheeks. His smile widened a bit more when the young girl commented on how clean and classy he looked. Always a victim for flattery he muttered out a soft "Thank you" to the girl and she even offered to show the way to a nearby place which would be even greater help due to his general lack of direction for places like these. "Alright, you just lead the way when you feel ready." Venom spoke out again in his posh tone of voice, thoroughly unprepared for what the young girl was about to do. "Do you want a hug? You look like you might need one...or do you not like hugs?" the very sight of the girl with her arms outstretched was enough to almost make the jaded assassin chuckle. He nodded slightly, crouching himself down a bit to hug the girl before standing up once again back to his full height.
At this point he noticed the cat rubbing it's cheek on his leg, he often had a soft spot for felines. Taking his glove off, Venom lightly petted the cat's head with his slender fingers. "If you'd like to hear my little sob story, I'd be happy to oblige. However, I think we need to get you fed first. If you could possibly lead the way for me, that would be marvellous." Venom spoke to the girl, putting his glove back on and picking up his briefcase.

Ok, she enjoyed making people who deserved it suffer a whooooole lot and seeing them writhe in pain brought her such a strong sense of joy....however it was in fact much nicer to bring people happiness when they deserved it too. Like this Venom guy! Nice, helpful, not so good with directions when apparently he should be, not like she minded, but definitely a really nice person! So much that if anyone brought him unhappiness, she and Juju had horrible things in store for whoever dared to make their new friend suffer. BUT THAT WASN'T THE CASE FOR NOW! How delightful it was to hear him be appreciative of her compliments and that he'd let her lead him to food! Somewhere cheap though since she didn't want to use this kind person, it was mean to take more than needed from people with a good heart...that was something she never had intentions of doing despite her criminal life style and methods. When he seemed to accept the hug being in need of one, she gently wrapped her arms around him giving his back a light pat and squeaked out in almost a delightful mew.
When he let go, so did she and placed her hands behind her back with a big ol' kitty smile while rocking back and forth on her thick soles. Juju certainly liked the man's petting and nuzzled against his hand...through the touch he could definitely feel there were things plaguing him...Sphinx managed to stumble upon quite the specimen. Purring a bit louder for the moment of being shown a little affection in return and starring up at him lightly swishing his tail to and fro when the petting ceased after telling them he'd tell them his sob story after getting some food. Her Stomach was STILL complaining so that was a good idea! Reaching over to grab his free hand for their little walk, she began speaking in a chipper yet sincerely kind tone "Of course we wanna hear your sob story, Mister Venom! You're a nice person and we want to be good friends, isn't that right, Juju?"
So her kitty pal let out a mew and trotted along. Sphinx would be alright if he denied his hand being held, it was just easier to guide people that way and lower the chances of being lost in pedestrian traffic. Terrible when that happened, something she didn't like much at all! "Ummm Mister Venom....if you're supposed to be good with directions...does that mean you're a delivery man? Though...you look kinda too clean and professional to be a package pusher..." Curiously blurting out those words while continuing to walk along the side walk toward their destination with the demonic fluff ball following after the duo. She turned her innocent looking gaze over to the taller man for a moment looking a little on the confused side before turning her attention back forward.
Had to make sure she didn't bump into people, more so than usual! Last thing she wanted was to cause any sort of trouble for someone so polite and nice...

Venom smirked after the hug from the little girl. It was truly nice that anyone cared enough about the affairs of this fugitive assassin. However, he thought not mentioning the fact he kill other human beings for money might be a good idea for the time being. He didn't want this young girl to get freaked out by his career in murder due to the fact she might end up telling a police officer and he honestly didn't want to fight his way out of another fire fight with the authorities again. Venom had enough of that, last time he was caught it ended up forcing him to fight some knights of the Holy Order in the floating nation of Zepp.
Venom was initially shocked at the young girl grabbing his hand, but after a few seconds of realization he removed his mindset from that of caution and simply kept it there, judging that in a heavily populated area it might be easier to keep track of her this way. This girl seemed absolutely fantastic and would be a good friend to keep nearby, she even concerned herself with his story and seemed to want to know about him. "All in good time, little one. I will tell you everything you could ever possibly care to know." Venom said in a quiet tone, being navigated through the huge crowds of people staring at the odd looking duo.
While the two were walking through the vast crowds the girl asked of his career choice, noting the fact he said earlier he should really have a better sense of directions. Venom sighed "Come on, you need to tell her the truth. She'll understand..." he thought to himself before he bit his lip and decided the best course of action was to let it be known he was an assassin. "Well, you may not like this.... but I am the head of the Assassin's Guild. We're an international organization used to take down those that are risky targets. Politicians, world leaders and so on. If you disagree with my career choice I wouldn't be surprised." Venom spoke in a quiet and discreet tone, as to not let any of the people around catch wind of his identity.

Doing her best to guide and weave her briefcase carrying friend through the area, she had a happy little smile creep across her lips as though everything was finally going to be as good as she wished it could be. Juju may have been a demon, but he could only do so much...she hadn't been able to rake in too many souls for him as of late. Then there was her odd moral compass...which did exist even though she'd easily murder someone over a really mean insult or...you know...what she considered to be mean. Squeaking out a little purr of delight to the assurance that he'd let her know everything she wanted to know, it was really nice to have a friend! They were so rare and few after all! While walking along, it seemed like he had...a...rather peculiar response to her question about what he was and it seemed like he was being sure to remain quiet about it....oh hey that sounded kinda like what she and Juju did! Save for the fact that distraught people she'd talk to didn't know that she was going to hunt down and possibly kill the ones who brought them unhappiness.
Er...and they did it for free too...from what Juju explained to her before is an assassin actually gets money while they're just a pair of unorthodox vigilantes. Strangest thing though, he was the head of some Assassin Guild and their fishies sounded MUCH bigger to fry than the ones she had been dealing with for all these years. Seemed to be swimming in the same metaphorical pool too...they could help...even Juju's constant purr seemed to indicate he had no qualms about helping such a fine fellow. Lowering her voice as she guided him around a corner, she made certain that their peers wouldn't be able to nose in on what she had to say. After all, it was rather important... "I guess I don't have to worry, looks like Juju trusts you enough and I do too. See, Mister Venom, Juju is a demon who contracted with me because I wanted to make the mean people in this world go away and gave me the power to do it. All it only cost me is eternal damnation but that's ok because I'll make the world a happier place for nice people...or um...I hope so....otherwise I made a big mistake..."
Lowering her head a bit before slightly shaking her head as though to quietly blurt out `sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing`but tilted her head back up and continued to speak in a soft tone, "...I-I'm sure I didn't make a bad choice though, lots of people aren't being tormented anymore because of Juju and I...a-and I'm not as bad off as I woulda been without Juju. Hey...ummm...maybe we can help the Assassin's Guild as a thank you for being our friend and getting me food? Since a nice person like you is in charge, Juju and I won't mind going after risky people to make your job a little easier..." When she finished saying those quietly spoken words, she quickly whipped up her free hand with a biiiiiiig smile across her lips at a place that...didn't seem upscale at all. "AH! THERE THERE! It's right there, Mister Venom!" Squealing out those words like she had found something SUPER amazing...she was just...well really happy about getting there! Flailing her free hand up and down for a moment, some people gave her odd looks...but shrugged it off not really caring since she was in good company while releasing her gentle yet firm grip on his hand.
Rushing over to the place with a sign that said `BOB'S BURGER JOINT`to open the door and held it open for her new friend. Juju on the other hand didn't rush over with his human, in fact he followed along with Venom to keep him company to the door. With an eager look of sheer happiness and delight, the scrawny girl's cat eye slits widened as though she was like a hyper kitten or something. ....even her tummy made creeeeeeee noises of SO CLOSE!

Venom smirked to himself as he looked at the young girl, seemingly content with being around an assassin with a huge price on his head. After all, Venom was one of the most wanted on countless lists. Interpol, FBI, MI6, Holy Order and so on. None were quite able to catch the notorious contract killer due to the evasive tactics he always employed. Almost instantaneously as the three of them walked past a corner Sphinx seemed to take a quieter tone, perhaps in an effort to keep others from listening in. "Oh my." Venom thought silently to himself upon the revelation of the fact that cute little kitty was really a demon. Venom and demons had quite the odd past together, due to the fact the man he loved had his body inhabited by one.
"Well then, so long as he's not a demon that will give me trouble. I have had my fair share of them causing me troubles. However, I shan't harbour any resentment for such an adorable creature like him." Venom spoke softly and in a rather nice tone, as to show he could be trusted and would do the duo no wrong. Venom was now looking a touch more cheerful than he usually did, taking graceful strides as he walked along in hand with the girl leading him to the destination.
Venom noticed the young girl shaking her head a bit, she seemed almost a bit saddened or at the very least remorseful. Venom tilted his head down to look over her a bit more closely, hoping nothing too serious was on her mind. After all, he was only trying to help her. He looked thoughtfully towards the young girl as she mentioned how her killing wrongdoers was making the world better and chuckled slightly at the mention of her with the Assassin's Guild and helping out. "You know, it'd be nice having a fresh face at the guild and you really look like you need to get a fed a bit more. I'll happily let you stay with us at some point. You never know, I might just let you tag along next contract I receive. I would enjoy the company." Venom said, smiling at the very prospect that he may end up with a friend who was worthy of his presence. People were far too drab and dreary these days, this girl was a breath of fresh air.
Soon, the girl had seen the destination and was quite loudly exclaiming the fact. A sign seemed to only make it more known that they had reached the destination. Sphinx was flailing around a bit which did seem to put some attention on the group, Venom brushing his hair away from his face and shooting a death glare to anyone who might feel like gawking at the odd little trio. Venom strolled over to the door as Sphinx opened it for him "Why, thank you." He spoke out to her, walking through and not able to shake that he felt out of place in such an establishment.

Hmmmmm from what the teen could gather...her new friend had problems with demons before buuuut wasn't going to hold it against Juju! Well that was good since so far it seemed like Juju planned on being a good boy and had no intentions of doing this man wrong. In fact, they both shared one huge thing in common, she and her demon kitty, they wanted to help him so very much and it was nice that he didn't argue about that! Awww he even called her fluffy demon pal adorable! Then again the kindly assassin was on Juju's good side so that explained pretty much everything. There WERE people she tried to befriend but Juju disapproved of so much that he......uh....made their lives a living hell....BUT THAT WASN'T THE CASE TODAY! Though she couldn't help but feel just a little confused when her new pal was chuckling at her mention of helping...was it that funny?
Kinda, even in her brain she kinda found that thought a bit amusing! The albino girl knew she wasn't a professional at assassination, just pretty darn good at it! Probably wasn't enough though. OH WELL! OR NOT! From the sound of it, he didn't oppose the idea it seemed! Even the fluffy black cat with blue eyes lightly twitched his ears at that, sounded like a potential new home complete with a job? Was that it?
Either way it seemed like a ray of hope was chilling in the horizon waiting for them offering nothing short of happiness and so very many opportunities! Ooooo he even might let them accompany him just for being pleasant! Things were definitely turning around for them and it was nice to feel less like a plague and more like a blessing which was incredibly ironic given their demonic attributes. Holding the door open with a huuuuuge smile on her face an look of super duper happy hope like a kid being given soda and compliments! When the man with really neat fashion sense thanked her after walking through the doors, she couldn't help but squeak out "You're very welcome!" as though she was the happiest person in the world and watched Juju follow along. For some reason this place didn't hassle her about him...but the usual odd looks were heavily reduced today...in fact they stopped as soon as their eyes met that of the dark skinned man with unusual teal eyes.
Juju crouched down for a moment before leaping up and landing upon his human's shoulders as though he was a living boa. Purring loudly as he looked around...the demon certainly enjoyed Sphinx's new friend's power over the petty mortals....interesting things were in the future as far as he could tell. Prancing like a happy little kitten chasing after a bundle of yarn, Sphinx made her way over to the counter. So it wasn't the dirtiest place in the world but it definitely wasn't the cleanest ever. Tables in the dining area looked far from being totally sterile considering there were some food remains left here and there plus the tiled floor was kinda stained and had gunk stuck between em'. As for the kitchen which was SLIGHTLY visible looked like they BARELY got away with health inspections. The zit faced teen at the cash register stared over at the girl who felt the need to wear thick soled shoes to add height for her shortness.
"Welcome to Bob's Burger Joint....how can I take yerrr orderrrr?" He looked at her a little oddly cause...well...she looked far from normal. "A Beefy Burger meal, please! OH! You're new! Hi! Is Mister Bob here? I wanna say hi, pretty pretty please?" Skipping in place as though she could barely contain her excitement, the teen was a little confused but plugged in her order while yelling out obnoxiously, "NUMBER ELEVEEEEEEEEEEN! BOB YER GOT A CUSTOMERRRR....five twenty five..."
Putting her hands over her mouth, she couldn't help but purr out little giggles and stare with anticipation for a big guy who DEFINITELY looked like he was raised here. He may have been on the heavier side but it was clear to see there was muscle on the middle aged man with slicked back black hair looking rather intimidating and tough even though he wore an apron with the witty line `Laugh. I DARE you.`. Though a smile grew on his lips as he leaned over the counter a bit to pat the girl lightly on the head, "Ey, kid! Y'got paid I see?" Shaking her head to his words, he looked a little confused wondering how she was gonna pay. Sure he hadn't a problem with giving her free food but she only accepted the stuff that he was going to throw away since she had this weird moral set that involved not depriving him of money since she knew times were hard for him.
Pointing over to Venom, she smiled like a kitty cat and joyfully squeaked out, "My new friend is being nice and treating me! He's a good person, really good person so if anyone says something mean about him you shouldn't believe them! Okay Mister Bob?" Closing her eyes as the little perma blush upon her cheeks seemed to go up a tint when he fussed with her hair making it a little poofy as though he was her dad. Purring out little giggles, she reopened her eyes while he moved his hand off her head. Once upon a time he was part of the circus and treated her like a surrogate daughter but never could adopt her due to barely being able to care for himself. "Got it, I'll beat em' to a pulp for ya. Seems like even Juju 'proved of em'. Well I gotta get your meal ready, but if y'two stick 'round we can talk more. If not, heh, I get it so no worries." Bob could tell this guy was a fancier type and would probably rather go to a fine dining place than a fast food joint. Turning around to the back, the tough looking guy with a rough Brooklyn accent went to the back and got to work on cooking!
(Hope eez okies x3 ....wuz getting sreepy when I wrote eeet!)

A smile crept upon the assassin's face when the girl squeaked out he was welcome. Really, it's very hard to find people with such good manners now a days. He strolled along with her into the establishment, it was pretty much exactly how he expected... absolutely filthy. He looked down at his feet, the floor stained with things he couldn't even identify with dark black gobs of gum on the floor that had solidified into the tiles. Frankly, it was disgusting but if this place is the type that the young girl enjoyed, then he would make sure she ate at an establishment she wanted to.
Soon, he found himself at the counter standing next to Sphinx while one of the most gross looking teenager he'd seen in some time. "My my, his face is about to erupt by the looks of it. Venom silently thought to himself, holding his briefcase in one hand while his other arm wrapped around him almost seductively. Obviously he wasn't INTENDING to seduce anyone at all, but he always seemed to act that way. Venom practically oozed grace and beauty so it would have been strange if he wasn't slinking around in a sultry manner.
After Sphinx placed her order she wanted to talk to the owner of the establishment, a 'Bob'. It was a common name and one that really didn't show any grace so he could only expect the owner of such a name to be crash and coarse. His eyes soon glanced across at the huge man wearing an apron. He then asked if the young girl was paid to which she shook her head. His accent, it was horrid and grating but he meant him no ill will so he wouldn't make any mention of his grave unattractiveness and horrific voice.
Venom glanced up when Sphinx pointed to him, mentioning how he was nice and a good person. Well! It wasn't everyday someone actually said that about him. Obviously, due to his work many saw him as a vile and cold hearted man. However, Bob here seemed to not think anything wrong about him so that was always a plus. He didn't really feel like making any more enemies, so it was nice to have him on his side.
Venom glanced up at the teen working the counter. "How much shall this be altogether." he spoke in his usual elegant British accent. "4.99" Venom nodded and brought his briefcase to the counter, flipping it open. It contained his dismantled pool cue in the top compartment and in the bottom it had various bills of multiple currencies. Great British Pounds in the bottom right corner, American Dollars at the top and Euros in the bottom left. He had at the very least about 10 grand in each currency. To him, this was only the bare minimum he needed to carry on him at any given time. Venom took out 5 dollars in singles and handed them over to the clerk, snapping his briefcase shut again afterwards.
