[Sphinx & Juju]

Once her pretty pal gave the zit faced teen his money, she hugged onto his free arm with a big ol' cat-like smile across her pale pink lips as if she was his kid or something. A light purr rumbled away happily in her throat as she starred forward hoping Bob would hurry up. When she took a few occasional glances at the nice assassin man, she got the gist of discomfort which was pretty worrisome for her. Plus Juju was giving her a vibe via the connection they shared how it's not exactly a suitable environment for someone classy like Venom. For now though, she smooshed her perma blush cheek against his arm still purring like a happy little kitten. "Mister Venom, we should go somewhere you wanna go next!" Somehow, she managed to say without the purring interrupting her happily curious words.

It was so exciting having a friend that didn't think she was secretly evil incarnate or try to rip their throat open whilst they sleep. Though...admittedly she has been guilty of luring people into a state of trust toward her before killing them off rather violently just because she wanted them to feel the same betrayal she and those they hurt felt ten fold. Blinking a couple of times while looking up at the super nice man of the day who was probably going on her really small list of bestest friends ever. Normally her luck was terrible, awful even, and had a tendency to be a magnet for trouble but it really seemed like whatever kind of fate opted to observe her was smiling as though things were gonna be ok. Though Juju decided to speak through the speaker concealed in the X upon the girl's chest. Refined and absolutely rich was the voice that softly spoke up at a volume loud enough to be heard, "Yes, we certainly should go where you would like. This place hardly seems to suit you. However it suits us just fine because we live so very low on the social food chain...you know how it is....do you not, Venom?"

Calm and cool, that's how it was...just a bit of what seemed like natural snark but not enough to be misinterpreted as rude. The blue eyed black bundle of fluff looked up at the white haired man purring as well as if he was quietly saying `Hm. Yes I do believe that was me. No mistake in that, human.`with his deviously precious feline composure. The albino girl with some crazy tricks up her sleeves couldn't help but chuckle softly at how polite Juju was being. A lot of the time when he actually used the speaker to communicate with other humans, it was rude and putting them down in a fashion that gave most pause or so underhanded they didn't quite grasp they just got demon-kitty served! Not very long after, Bob had Sphinx's order all wrapped up and ready to go so she let go of her tall buddy's arm to grasp onto the bag. Softening her delightful purring so it wasn't too too noticeable...didn't want to give her pal trouble just because she was REALLY happy! Even she was aware the purring thing was FAR from normal.

"Thanks, Mister Bob!" Squeaking out those words with a great deal of thankful enthusiasm, she used her free hand to gently hold onto his letting him know she was ready to go out on yet another adventure when he was and would be more than glad to follow him!

Venom looked down at the little girl, smiling as she seemed to have clung herself to his arm and was in the process of nuzzling it. "Aren't you just precious." he said softly, staring down at her with his teal eyes. Venom actually felt a connection with this child, he knew exactly how rough her lifestyle was and could easily relate due to his own harsh childhood before he met Zato-1. It truly was horrible having to resort to theft and underhanded ways to simply survive. However, the girl piped up saying they should go somewhere he wants to next. Venom's soft lips curved into a smile as he ruffled her hair with his gloved hand. "Soon." he spoke in his impeccably polite accent.

As Venom waited for Sphinx's food a noise caught his attention. It was a voice, speaking directly at him. He stared directly at the girl as it came from her chest, the slight distortion sound meaning it was likely a speaker, and a rather small one at that. Venom's skills of deduction often came in handy in situations like this. However, what was the reason for it and where was the source of the sound. After all, it's not like she had any time to record any such message so the assassin's eyes went straight to her feline companion. Juju returning said gaze, as if to say that was his voice on the speaker. Venom nodded to the cat, as if to say he understood it was him and to respect the fact that the animal could speak. Many times a ruder man would just dismiss a talking animal as ridiculous. Venom did not, he knew that in this world there were many stranger things than an animal who could talk.

Venom watched as she grabbed her food, thanking the owner of the establishment before letting Venom know she was ready to leave. Venom began to walk in his usual elegant refined way. "You know, you could always see the Assassin's Guild headquarters if you'd like. I can arrange ourselves transport. It's a perk of working for the guild." Venom spoke in his typically refined way, wondering if this young girl might want to see his place of work. The Assassin's Guild had a headquarters in just about every major city around the globe. New York's wasn't too far from where they were right now. It was easy enough to tell as he could see the top of the skyscraper where it was situated. It appeared to be just some generic building on the outside, but inside it was a whole other story.

It was so nice not to be swatted or smacked away like some people did just because she looked so very different. Every fiber of her being blamed the cruel people of her past for being as mean as they were. Why would she be to blame since all she did was be nothing but nice and sweet?! They were dead now and their souls fed to her fluffy demon friend, so all was fixed but not forgotten in that aspect....well...most of them were dead. Some got away but they couldn't hide forever! Right now though, she was really happy in this very moment and let out a chipper little, barely audible chipper little mew when her hair was lightly ruffled still purring. Oooo soon they could go somewhere he wanted to go?!

That would be really awesome since she was used to being mostly in low class areas. A place like this was even a treat since she was, for the most part, a fraction of the homeless population. Save for the fact that unlike MOST homeless, the young teen did what she could to keep her hygiene in check! How very important it was not to smell like a sewer rat or worse....a wet dog after it played in the trash and rolled in some dead things! Sure, she had to break into a few homes, but it's not like she actually stole anything from them aside from the use of their bathroom when the circus was unavailable. Though she was pretty much a villain due to her murder streak and way of handling most problems, there were some moral guidelines. One of which being only steal what was needed, otherwise the mess is far too much to clean up.

Not being a complete idiot was DEFINITELY a good thing for sure! When the food was all snatched up and the quite literally soulless girl let Venom know that she was ready to head out when he was by holding his hand, following along side him making sure not to hold him up...it sounded like he had a REALLY interesting offer. Allowing a HUGE cat-like grin to cross her lips out of sheer delight she gave him a few firm nods REALLY wanting to go to where he works with quite a bit of enthusiasm. When they got to the door, she pushed it open for them both while maintaining her grip on the bag of food. He seemed WAY too refined to be touching doors for low class citizens even though he confessed to being homeless at one point himself. Juju continued to relax on his human's shoulders purring with oh so much delight. He too had no problems what-so-ever with the offer and second it if anything.

"I'd love to go! So would Juju! Isn't that right?" Squeaking out those words with such delight, the elegantly refined masculine tone from the speaker spoke up once more in an oh so calm fashion, "I do believe this is quite correct...if you don't mind taking us to the Assassin's Guild headquarters on such short notice, that is...." Those abnormally blue eyes looked up toward the tall fellow's own teal optics before blinking....and....the demon's human companion he was bumming a free ride off of looked up at the kind assassin like a hopeful, innocent kitten. More so because the slits were large, rounded off ovals nearly looking like complete circles with a thin rim of pink around them. Would he REALLY take them on a trip to the Assassin's Guild?! Sphinx could only hope!

Venom smirked softly as Sphinx opened the door for him. "How very kind of you." he said softly in his usual tone, walking through and out onto the slightly busy street. It seemed to be quite a bit more busy than when they first arrived. "Hmm, this is quite perfect." Venom said to himself, realizing it might be a bit easier to call in a ride from the Assassin's Guild this way due to the whole idea of blending into plain sight. He slowly moved a hand up to his ear, turning on the earpiece he wears at all times to give an order to move into his location and give him and his new companion a ride out of here. "HQ, send a driver to my exact location. Try not to draw any attention to yourself. Make it fast." Venom said in a slightly colder tone towards his underlings. Venom was a polite gentleman at all times, but with his workers he didn't have to act so cordial towards them. They were trained killers and most of them wouldn't value a "please" or "thank you" and why should a man of his class even have to speak to politely to his army?

Venom rested a hand on Sphinx's shoulder, to give her an idea of where they needed to stop. It was about five minutes from the fast food joint. After all, it might arouse suspicion for an expensive vehicle to find itself near a tacky establishment. "They'll arrive here soon Sphinx, you'll know the vehicle when you see it." he spoke out quietly, folding his arms with his briefcase held idly in one of his hands. Almost instantly after he uttered those words to Sphinx, a white luxury limousine with a blue eye painted onto it parked up in front of the duo. "This is us." Venom spoke out, his teal eyes fixated on the vehicle as a white robed man stepped out and opened the door for them both.

Venom quickly stepped to the car, standing and waiting at the door for Sphinx to get in first. "It would be rude for me to enter before you. Please, go first." Venom spoke out as he idly looked at Sphinx, awaiting her to get into the rather fancy looking car.

Venom was so very nice! It was great to have a friend who was so kind! Smiling brightly as though she was the happiest scrawny girl in the whole wide world, she stopped in her tracks when the kindly white haired man rested his hand upon her shoulder. Looking over to him softly purring under her breath, not really paying much attention at all to his conversation. How impolite it'd be to drop some eaves! Nodding with a touch of happy enthusiasm and a big ol' smile she was just so excited! The rarity of getting invited anywhere was like trying to find a rare monster or something in those games where owners train critters to fight for them and get money.

Too bad she and Juju couldn't get money from fighting people and their creatures....that would make things much easier. Purring quite loudly as she kept her gaze fixated on the road...where was it where was it?! So eager to go on a little field trip with the gentleman, Sphinx got all wide-eyed when a limo drove into sight. That...was...a very shiny vehicle! Lightly rocking on her heels trying really hard to let out a burst of sheer excitement, was that it? Was it was it was it?! IT WAS IT WAS!

Even the kindly Mister Venom confirmed it! Bringing up the bag containing food to her mouth, her eyes widened in sheer awe and excitement toward it all. The odd albino girl severely lacking a thing called a soul but still chock full of personality with a feline demon for a companion had never been in something so luxurious! Or at least not that she could recall off hand. Softly squeaking while purring even more, she was almost like a blur with how fast she bolted into the limousine. One thing for sure was this scrawny teen was incredibly fast on her feet. Juju on the other hand hopped into the top dollar vehicle as soon as the human he had the soul of got close enough and was careful not to scratch anything with his claws being sure to focus on using the pads of his paws.

Trotting along on the floor only to stop and curl up near Sphinx's feet when she took a seat. Eagerly glancing around....EVERYTHING WAS SO FANCY! So fancy she was sure to keep to herself and not get her mitts on anything! It would be a shame if she messed anything up of his after he had been nothing but nice to her! Letting out a little squeak of a gasp, she set the packaged food on her lap and slightly waved her hand while looking toward the robed fellow who opened the door for them, "Mister! Thank you for opening the door for us and coming over here so fast! It was really nice of you to be so timely!" There! Now she didn't feel so gosh darn rude!

Though Juju coolly looked up to her and had this `I don't think that was necessary` look on his face. Whatever, Sphinx didn't bother agreeing with him cause she hated being rude to nice people even if they were just doing their job! Grinning quite a bit to the point where she exposed her abnormally sharp teeth which were more like a cat's and less like a human's, "Mister Venom, can you tell me about the Assassin's Guild? Is everyone there this nice and polite?" As soon as those words sprawled out of the circus girl's mouth....Juju quietly moved his paws up and over his face slightly embarrassed by her giddiness getting the best of her in such upper class company. Oh well...he couldn't blame her, the girl didn't get treated so well on a daily basis anyway so he wasn't about to lecture her right away. Especially if it wasn't bothering their kindly host.

Venom's lips curled into a slight smirk, not one big enough to show his teeth but enough to show. Venom often wasn't one for breaking his stoic exterior and liked to usually keep himself looking fairly emotionless. However, this young girl was just so full of glee and happiness it was virtually impossible not to crack a slight smile around her. Well, unless you had a heart composed entirely of ice, that is. Venom got in to the luxurious car after the duo and sat beside them, chuckling slightly at Sphinx's politeness. He was almost always polite, like herself. However he didn't act quite so polite towards guild members due to the fact he's their leader and a leader must be stern if he's to be taken seriously.

Venom often kitted his rides out with only be finest items. His limo had a silver and black interior with subtle and classy patterns on the black seats. "Get me to the Guild HQ, the girl has clearance to enter. Under no circumstances is she to be questioned. Understood?" Venom spoke out to the driver in a slightly sterner tone than he used around Sphinx. He simply wanted to make sure that she wouldn't be harassed with questions upon entering as if any mistook her for an unauthorised person she might have been in trouble. However, there will be no chance of that as whatever the Guild Master says is the command of his loyal army.

The white clad assassin stared to the side, looking at the pool cues alongside him. He kept multiples of his iconic weapon due to the fact he usually has to discard it if he has to make a quick escape. This way he can quickly nab another after extraction. Venom's cues were things of beauty, a long white cylinder with a blue handle and silver skull at the very end of said handle. He wielded the weapon with deadly efficiency using the art of bojutsu and had quite possibly one of the best aims of any living thing, which came in handy when his prime task is sniping people using pool balls, of which there were also a fair amount on the wall of his limo.

Venom's gaze moved over to the young girl now, asking about the guild and if everyone were so polite. Venom nodded in thought and palmed a white pool ball, inspecting it. "Well, the guild is run by myself. I undertake leadership duty and often I take on hits that would be far too risky for the others. After all, if you want something done right... Well, you have to do it yourself. I took ownership after Master Zato had an unfortunate passing. To answer your question about if everyone is as polite. Hmm, I suppose if you mention that you're a friend of mine they will treat you with the utmost respect." Venom said softly, clutching the ball in his hand and staring at the shiny surface.

This nice Mister Venom guy was like the dad she wished she had considering her real parents sucked a bit much at their jobs. At least he was nice enough to prevent her from getting bullied which was awesome to say the very least! Even Juju, the one who took it upon his demon kitty self to act as her soul devouring guardian approved of him being in her presence! Smiling brightly like a happy kitty who just found one of the nicest humans EVER, she lightly kicked her legs in her seat. Being oh so very careful to not trigger her shoes nasty little secret. Last thing she wanted to do was damage his stuff after offering so very many acts of kindness. Soft purrs delightfully rumbled in her throat as those ruby and pink tinted optics glanced about.

There was so very much white! Almost like it was this thing's main color scheme! Though...her eyes caught the sight of those pool cues. All of them...were so....shiny....gripping onto the bag as her grin grew just a pinch, the girl was tempted to paw away at them. Before she could so much as act on her impulses, Venom's velvety response. Honestly, it was a little saddening that this Master Zato fellow died....he sounded like a nice purrperson this world was in dire need of. If Venom didn't let it get him down though, there was no need for her to start trying different things to cheer him up let along get too down herself!

It was admirable how strong he seemed so far and despite being an assassin, the scrawny circus girl hoped to be, in a way, more like him. Like a child seeking guidance from a parent or a role model, he filled the position a bit better then Juju. Probably because Juju was more like a caretaker and watch kitty rather than a parental figure. Who knows! Either way, it was nice to know that his lackeys would be nice to her and he was calling her his friend! "I'm pawsitive that Master Zato is really happy and proud of your leadership skills from wherever his soul is!" Shrugging while positively squeaking out those words, she lightly tilted her head and got completely distracted by the pool ball in his grasp.

Juju was letting his cat-like nature just go on cruise control seeing how he was curled up, activating cat nap mode all of a sudden. Besides, he felt like Sphinx was safe enough around this fellow and if worse came to worse he could wake up and assist his female human pawn. The slits of her eyes thinned a bit as she dropped her food, safe and sound in its paper bag confinement. Holding up her hands, she folded her fingers and began purring a bit more loudly....that shiny white pool ball was just so taunting....too taunting! Quickly, she scooted closer to her kind, gentleman of a host and playfully made an attempt to bat at the super shiny white ball within his grasp. Not hard enough to hurt him much at all, nor with enough force to sent it flying. More like pawpossibly knock it out of his hand if his grip wasn't all that great.

Venom smirked at the playful nature of the girl and how she seemed quite interested by the pool ball he was clutching. It's quite obvious she was in awe of the décor inside his limo. Venom himself liked to have to live his life in lavish. Only the best items would grace his transport. After all, he might as well live a nice life with all the money he gets from his various hits. Venom looked over as the girl mentioned how she believed Zato-1 would be happy with the assassin's leadership skills wherever he was. "Initially, it's why I'm untrustworthy of demons. Your companion has proven to be trustworthy. However, Zato-1 is being taken over by some kind of hellish creature. His body is dead and the being 'Eddie' is using his body as some host. He's turning the man I loved into a twisted shell of his former self. Disgusting, really." Venom said in his usual tone, still not sounding too sad as really it's not something he can help and all he can do is either attempt to bring Zato back somehow or destroy the demon inhabiting his body.

Venom smirked softly and passed the pool ball towards the girl as she obviously wanted to inspect it. "Careful, it's a bit heavy" he spoke in his usual soft tone. The car soon pulled up to a fairly respectable looking building. It wasn't that different to the generic office type buildings. However, the main headquarters in Europe was much different. Still, in such a populated area of this where a man of his job description had very little diplomatic immunity. In his native England he had much more power, a man of his work generally did a lot of jobs for the government. While he was a criminal, he was a criminal with friends in high places.

When the car finally pulled into the basement garage of his headquarters. Venom spoke softly to the girl. "This is us. Stick close." Venom said as another white clad man in a robe came to open the door for the two of them. It's strange that he brought an outsider to his hideout, but when master Zato found him during his youth he was in a similar situation. "Master Venom, I take it this is the companion we've been told about." The robed man said in reference to the young girl. "Yes, she's malnourished and has been living roughly. Poor thing, make sure she isn't questioned. I can't begin to say how important that is. She has full clearance." "Yes, Master Venom!" the white robed man said in response, leading the way inside. "Just this way, Sphinx." Venom spoke in a soft tone, motioning to the doorway.

For a moment, she gave the kind man her attention and listened intently to how this demon named Eddie was ruining his beloved Zato-1! That was just awful and though Juju was taking a little nap...she could tell he didn't agree either with the words ever so slightly intruding on his slumber. They couldn't just lurk about and do nothing in regards to this! Sure, Sphinx was well informed when it came to demons and her feline demon companion was one of the more sophisticated sorts. Or at least his kind was since they went around and about serving karma on a platinum platter. When someone deserved it...and...this demon plaguing Venom's most treasured person was going to pay if they could find him!

Of course, she wasn't sure if that was a bit of information best kept to herself or if it should be shared. Frowning a bit in response to his words, it was no wonder this man couldn't trust demons most of the time. Yeah, she was going to attempt formulating a plan fueled with glorious vengeance and make sure to balance the scales! Some how, some way...or at least she hoped. Giving a soft purr with a small smile, she visibly perked up a bit when he was willing to let her inspect the shiny cue ball. Carefully, she took the ball, distracted from what she was going to jabber on about and rolled it around in her hands staring at her reflection. The light playing upon its surface was also quite the interesting thing!

SO MUCH SHINY SHINY GOODNESS! Who ever said the simple things in life weren't chock full of fun?! ANYWHO! Once the vehicle stopped, Juju woke up from his slumber and even manipulated her into putting the cue ball down VERY carefully to avoid scratching it up with her nails. The blue eyed demonic feline stretched himself out and soon after got up to hop on his human's shoulder. Grabbing onto her bagged up food since she felt like it was just down right rude to get crumbs in the car, her tummy let out growl to remind her `YOU GOT FOOD! WHY YOU NO EAT IT?!` and once she got herself out of the luxury vehicle...she stood close to the white haired man just as he instructed. Then....she opened up the wrapping hiding the DELICIOUS GOODNESS and began munching away on her burger. AND SO HER TUMMY WAS HAPPY!

In mid chomp, she really tried to keep her manners in mind, but being so hungry caused her to eat a bit like a savage...with those crimson and pink optics, Sphinx looked up with wide...seemingly innocent eyes...at the white cloaked man. Almost as if on cue when brought up. Sloooowwwwly, she continued her munching to sedate her hunger and blinked a few times. When they had to get going, the food Venom had so kindly bought for her was gone into the abyss called her stomach. Even Juju joined on in the `LOOK INNOCENT AND STARE AT THE STRANGER` bit, tossing in a supposedly sweet...pathetic....mew. Carefully, she crumpled up her garbage and shoved it into one of her sleeve pockets figuring she could use it to start a fire or something if need be.

Following after him, she didn't want to get in his way so she was riiiight behind him! "Mister Venom, could you..." pausing for a moment, she was going to cover up the question realizing it may not be appropriate given the setting. Juju though, he didn't want her to discard it regardless and asked for himself using the speaker hidden away in the girl's front shirt pocket. "...tell us where this Eddie could be located...? Or perhaps that's just a mystery even you're stuck trying to solve...." Sure, his tone had a gentleman quality to it, no doubt about that...but he seemed aggravated about the whole ordeal. WHOOPS...well Juju continued using the speaker rather than being hush hush when he opted to regard the human he had the soul of. "Ah...or perhaps we should drop the subject all together. I got a little upset and a tad ahead of myself not considering our kind host. Well...what do you think, Sphinx?"

Reaching up toward the black cat's ears to give them a light scratch...the scrawny girl mumbled... "I think we should find the big jerk and make him pay, but I dunno...it might be a better idea to leave that choice to the purrson it's affecting most....Mister Venom..?" The acrobatic girl's tone was a little darker and almost like she was still thoughtfully sweet...yet wouldn't hold any objections to ripping something to shreds with her bare hands. Or something violent like that, she really hated when good people were harmed and that showed like a shiny brooch on a lit display!

Venom couldn't help but smirk at how easily excited by shiny things the girl was. 'If only my childhood was filled with so much glee. Even if he was the one to practically raise me I still focused only on my training. It must be nice to be so easily amused.' Venom thought to himself, hand resting on chin. 'It's absolutely amazing to have such a bright and happy person around to help change the tone. It's been awhile since I've smiled like this' The assassin thought to himself. Venom was quite obviously observing the girl. Really, this would all look a bit funny in the eyes of someone else. After all, she was very young and riding in a car with a much older man. Still, given Venom's attraction to the same gender anyone who would think such a thing would be quite wrong. However, taking in this girl really did hammer home the fact that the man who did the same for him was very much dead and had a grim demon taking his place.

As they walked, the girl began to eat. "Oh, you needn't wait until we exited the car. You could have eaten in there. Venom said "But, you are very polite. You'll enjoy this visit. I'm sure." He spoke in his usual soft tone. Venom really did have a side to him that enjoyed making children happy. Many consider him to be a danger to them due to his status as a wanted criminal. Still, he may fight people in his path... may even kill them. Children are spared, however. Venom even let the duo of May and Bridget escape when he was hired to kill Captain Johnny Sfondi of the Mayship. Obviously she attacked but Venom used only minimal force to subdue the two of them. Little did he know this young girl would also meet the androgynous bounty hunter in the future.

Still, she reacted well to the various individuals whom he lead. When he mentioned that the girl was his companion she even did an almost completely innocent look at the assassin. 'Wish I could've gotten away with doing that when the Holy Orders guards nearly had me executed' Venom thought to himself, smiling at the incredibly cute look her and the cat were doing. Venom soon noted she'd even finished eating rather fast. 'She was absolutely famished. Poor thing.' he tutted at the fact that someone would abandon a child like this. Obviously he knew it could happen as when he was orphaned he had to fend for himself much like her.

Venom's turned slightly hearing his name but the girl only seemed to try and stop what she was about to say. He turned back and carried on walking. The duo carried on walking until the cat decided it'd be his turn to talk. He asked quite menacingly about where Eddie might be. Well, it would have been quite menacing if it wasn't from a small furry animal. Venom looked almost contemplatively at the animal. It was quite rare that a small animal would be able to converse with him but he wasn't going to say that this cat didn't have a good point. Straight after he also seemed to want to drop it, asking Sphinx. Venom moved his hand up to rest at his chin, tilting his head ever so slightly in thought at the offer. "Well, there's a vague idea about where he might be. I'm one for revenge and he is quite high on my list. I understand I'll need something strong enough to destroy a demon but not the host. Zato-1 is dead, but at least his body should be respected and not harmed." The white haired assassin said in a soft tone.
