I NEED YOUR OPINIONZ

SO HERE'S THE THING. I need to update/reapp Regina for three major reasons: 1.) OUAT has expanded on the nature of her magic, 2.) OUAT has expanded on her history, and 3.) Regina, here on AM, has actually changed...quite a bit since I first apped her here.

I think those are good enough reasons to warrant a re-app, but right now what I'm concerned about is the third one. SO I'M ASKING ANYONE WHO CARES FOR HELP - do you think Regina's status should be changed from 'villain'? If so, what do you think fits her better?


Anti-Villain Arguments

• The curse is broken, she's no longer in power, and she has no real desire to get that power back right now.
  
• She hasn't actually hurt anyone...or tried to hurt anyone...in quite some time, and doesn't have any real plans of doing so in the future.
  
• She wants to redeem herself for Henry.
  
• As part of redeeming herself for Henry, she's agreed to try to give up her grudge against Snow.
  
• Bitchy as she still is, she really has softened quite a bit from the crazy-ass lady who didn't care about anyone but herself that she was when I first brought her here.
  
• Cora's...general existence is probably gonna give her a hard shove towards teaming up with the good guys.
  

Pro-Villain Arguments

• She's not entirely sure that she can give up her grudge against Snow. She's gonna try, but...
  
• If she ever finds out about how Rumpel planned the whole zombie!Daniel thing in board canon, she's gonna want revenge on him, too. (though take this with a grain of salt, we still don't know exactly what happened yet).
  
• There's eventually going to be a plot where the Master is going to try to sway her back to evil.
  
• She's still the Evil Freakin' Queen, she's done a lot of horrible things, and it's still in her nature to manipulate the hell out of people if she thinks she can get something out of it.

After some thought I voted for villain because... well, it's not like she isn't totally capable of plotting eeevil things, since revenge seems to be a big part of her at this point. She may not at the moment have some intention to do something bad, but in the future it could (and probably will due to the whole the Master being a troll thing) happen.

No, okay, at this moment in time, I'd say Regina is sliiiiding towards Anti-Hero, especially since Cora is the Big Bad around here now. Alsothere'smorearguementsforantivillianso.

Personally, I believe that Regina is leaning towards Anti-Hero/Neutral. As the term Anti-Hero means:

Antiheroes are not as fabulous as traditional heroes. They may be corrupt, oppressive, etc., or may merely have no unusual qualities whatsoever. They are not villains but not necessarily heroes. They may do bad things but are not evil. They may fight villains, but not for the reason of justice, or if it is for the cause of justice will take an "ends justify the means" stance. Their actions are motivated by their own personal desires, such as revenge. For example, an antihero may steal, vandalize, and perform other "bad" acts but may do so for a good cause or even an unexamined motivation.

I see Regina fits this more now, as the last part of the defination, to do good, ie to give up on Snow for Henry. But I think Anti-Hero and/or Neutral for Regina.
