Gotham....man, what a place. It was dank, crime-ridden despite the best efforts, perpetually dark, and just downright frightening what with all the inhuman freaks and villains that prowled it. It was a miracle even Batman could keep up with it all. Flash just....didn't know how the guy did it. Being on-call 24/7 to be Batman, and still maintaining his life as Bruce Waynce.... Just...wow.
"Gotta hand it to the Bat. Bad as this place is, it'd be a lot worse without him."
A streak of red and gold blazed through the city streets, deftly swerving around the cars on the road and generally making a beeline for his destination. And within just a matter of seconds he had reached it, coming to a stop in the middle of the Batcave, amid a cloud of dust which quickly blew away. "Hey, Bats, you in?"

When not out at some social event as Bruce Wayne, Gotham's Dark Knight could be found deep below his manor in the grim solitude of the Batcave. The Dark Knight was stationed at the Cave's computer, methodically going through old GCPD files. There was a murder recently, this one particularly violent. The man's entire chest had been slashed open. Many of his bones were broken, which was the result of the victim being hit by some kind of blunt object before being cut open. The assailant was presumably of great strength, since he was apparently able to overpower the victim with ease. At least, that was if he was alone. It was possible that there was more than one attacker.
Suddenly, a message popped up on the computer stating that somebody was inside of the Batcave. For a second, Batman thought this impossible until he heard a familiar voice behind him. It was the voice of the Flash, a member of the Justice League and one of the few people Batman had worked with many times. Batman got out of the computer's chair and turned to face the Flash. "Do you need something?" He asked, stepping towards the visitor. Batman wasn't the type to give a friendly greeting, even to those he'd worked with in the past.
