Halloween was probably one of the worst holidays for the Winchesters. First of all, noisy kids getting in the ways of hunts, dressed up like the monsters the brothers fought against. The jerks running around drunk. As well as evil witches trying to summon demons, like the ones that were tricked by a demon to summon Samhain. Which made no true sense to Sam, since technically Samhain was the Pagan Holiday about the veil between life and death being thinner...and ancestors came to visit their families.
Oh yeah, and Dean tended to like hunting down all the single, young, moms that handed out candy. That kind of distracted them from hunting.
But that was all the past now.
They'd heard rumors about a shapeshifter running about this little suburban town, where was it again? Oh right, Connecticut.... Small, rural, few towns, and apparently a big bad shapeshifter on the loose killing people, and on Halloween that made everything ten times worse.
What if the shapeshifter was pretending to be a child dressed up as a monster? Identity-ception much?
It didn't help that Dean was missing in action, Bobby was busy dealing with something else, and Cas wasn't picking up his cellphone.
"Great," Sam crossed his arms as he looked over the sea of dressed up children. He'd look like a child serial killer if the shapeshifter was taking on the form of a child....just wonderful.
