Wrong Turn, Wrong World [Open]

Sora was having that dream again. The one that made him toss and turn in bed, reliving the memories of fighting Ansem in "End of the World." The most depressing world, or whatever was left of a world, he'd ever seen. It scared him that darkness could corrupt a place someone used to call home to the point of it only being only a shell of what it used to be.

That's what happened to his island, wasn't it? Swallowed whole by the darkness? The same darkness he'd drifted through when he'd sacrificed himself to give Kairi back her heart?

Right on cue with the memory of defeating Ansem's ship, Sora woke with a start. However, instead of a bed, he found himself on the outskirts of a town. Not too far from him he could see the Gummi Ship crashed into the side of the road. Had he fallen asleep at the wheel without realizing it? Where was Donald and Goofy? He couldn't see any tracks in the "snow" that was falling around him.

No wait, this wasn't snow, this was...ash?

He had no recollection of ever visiting a place like this, nor did he ever recall anyone ever talking about a place like this. Was this a new world opened up by the closing of Kingdom Hearts?

"Hello?" Sora called out, his voice echoing around him. "Is anyone there? Donald? Goofy? Anybody?"

Sora looked back towards the wreckage of the Gummi Ship and looked a bit uneasy. Something about this world felt dangerous, more dangerous than any other world he'd ever set foot in. But he had to find his missing friends, and he had to know...what if King Mickey and Riku were here too? He couldn't just leave without searching for them....

I'll just go into town to see if anyone's there. If I can't find anyone within an hour I'll go back to the ship, He thought to himself as he entered the town.

He caught a glimpse of the town's sign as he entered.
