The town of Storybrooke had such potential. It was a town filled with characters from this world's stories. Not it's legends and beliefs, but the stories they tell their children when they're going to sleep. What an interesting concept that was... Pitch did indeed see the similarities between himself and those in this world. Parents did tell their children about him... But they never did tell them to believe in him as some did with these characters. The Nightmare King walked down the street of Storybrooke, his presence attracted some confused glances. He didn't exactly have the most normal appearance and everyone in the town looked more normal than one would expect of story book characters. Pitch was almost disappointed by how average everyone was here.
Suddenly, he picked on a particularly intriguing fear. One of... killing everyone? Pitch stopped in his tracks and disappeared. In an instant he was standing outside a building marked as 'Granny's Diner'. The fear he was sensing came from inside. Pitch pushed the door open and walked into the building, looking around as he did so. It seemed like a very normal establishment from the inside. This was all so... underwhelming. When he'd discovered a town filled with characters from fairy tales, he'd honestly expected something a bit more... abnormal than what he'd found. But that one fear he'd sensed had been good enough to continue his interest in the town.
Pitch sat down at one of the tables of the diner. He was getting strange stares from the other residents of the town. Were they not from a different, more exciting world? Were they not completely used to someone like him? Pitch ignored the stares and began searching around the room for one he'd sensed. He couldn't quite identify just who it was until he looked at the waitress. Yes, that was definitely the one. She feared killing everyone... because she couldn't control a werewolf-like form. Things like werewolves were already common fears for young children, no doubt he could make this town fear werewolves as well...
