Tuesday 6pm .... A little cloudy with some drizzles The little restaurant wasn't a very famous one, but their food had the tendency to be absolutely delicious. However they were a simple mom and pop shop where they had trouble with competition and...well...they couldn't quite keep up with larger corporations that moved into the area. On the day they left, even though they weren't particularly close to the sadomasochist enough to be genuine friends of hers, she did tolerate their kind existence. A nice change, really since they treated her as well as others like a human being. Getting them a nice little going away gift like that of her normal peers. Simply a gift basket and a heartfelt card written with her own blood, though they were told it was innocent red ink. As tempted as she was to slip sharp objects into the little snacks she placed into the basket that day, she had known they didn't need to wake up into a reality they all had to share.
That family had been one of the most awakened group of individuals the woman with bloodstained locks had ever encountered. Twenty six years of life...or at least what she could remember of it which wasn't very much to begin with, it was hard to think those were the only living individuals who didn't let the pride of running a business govern them or their actions. Kind...but not too kind...pleasant, but not so much that she looked at them as ignorant fools...polite, but when someone stepped out of line they didn't let them get away with it. Such behavior was something she would miss dearly. Unfortunately...they, like any other human being in the world needed money to survive and had to depart. A sad, repetitive cycle...it was understandable though, despite her twisted views on how beautiful and glorious pain can be...currency in its own way was in fact maintaining balance regardless of the chaos. As for that family, they couldn't keep up and found themselves selling it to a group of greedy business types.
New individuals who ran this place to the ground with unacceptably rude workers and making it less of a sanctuary. So there she was today...standing among weeping, weak, ignorant fools who just wanted to live. With that body suit displaying the curves of her feminine form which was usually always hidden by larger shirts and a pair of dress pants plus the face mask attached to it was concealing the most important feature displayed on a daily basis no matter which attire she selected. Many people were alive even though it was looking like some kinda...really red and squirmy spaghetti dish upon a plate as large as this little store. An orchestra of screams and cries for mercy filled the air as though it was the common music. Gently humming a melody to it all, the woman with a strange love for pain began to sing out in an almost gentle and soothing tone, "Teach me, yes walk alongside me...show me what it's like to see...show me what it's like to dream. To see what you see....yes...show me this world your eyes allow you to see... Put your jaded heart upon display so I know we hold a different melody and together...yes together....with our screams and tears we create an orchestra!"
Finishing off that line, she carefully plucked a plastic spoon off of a table which survived the massive, brutal chaos. Bringing her singing to an end, all she did was continue humming a gentle melody as though to let those who listened know that she wasn't a horrible person. In fact...she was doing this to help them, to save them, to give them a chance to feel alive to the very end. Today, she didn't bring her usual equipment...just her body suit really. It was because she wanted to used the things she held close to her heart within these walls to show these people the light of life. What was so often neglected because people shunned it, turned their back on it? Pain of course, to the strange woman now pointing a spoon toward one of the managers.
It was as though she hand picked all these ignorant little bodies around her, they were all very awful people...hell she even waited for the nice ones to leave just so she wouldn't make any accidents. Poor poor manager, he was pinned to the wall and being forced to smile in oh so painful ways! "Yes...I understand perfectly...with the utmost clarity...that you need my help the most. A mislead heart which screams out that this is to be the best route for you, to truly save you," it was off how calm she was, as though all those tears and all the carnage around her didn't make her feel only remorse. "YOU BITCH! When I get down from here I'm going to kill you myself!" Those words didn't seem to bother her...he couldn't get down. Far too difficult despite all his struggling, really and she could see that with ease.
Some were calling her a monster as well, but that was something she had also grown accustom to! They needed some shocking new vocabulary if they wanted her to pay more attention to them. Using the spoon within her grasp to torment the man like a victimized ice cream, she continued speaking in such a fashion which was as though it was the most normal thing since toast, "Your words lead to a dead end...though I must admit...I wish someone would take me away to a place far from here." In the midst of his screaming she let out a soft sigh before grabbing onto his tongue and...ooo no one needs to know the horror she just did to make him a little less talkative! If someone were to find the comedy in all this, it was that this guy looked like he was crying tears of joy while going `NAAAAA`. All of these people were going to pass away bit by bit...there was no doubt in her mind about that because their physical limitations exceeded far beyond what any normal human can handle.
"Somewhere I too can finally belong would be my first choice...but I must continue my purpose in life since such a place simply cannot exist...I will make this world a place for all of us who remain to coexist in harmony...if all of you were fortunate enough to see that day...there would be a chorus of thank yous and a portrait filled with precious smiles..." Wow, what a shocker, there was actually a bit of sadness to her tone here and there yet with a sense of hope while still maintaining her calm, collected composure. It's not like the police were going to rush on over any time soon...she planned this on a day where they were having a company party so that it could be shrugged off with a bit more ease by the authorities. That didn't mean everyone else would fall for her set up...

Jareth had watched the strange girl for the entire afternoon. Watched as she waited patiently for certain people to leave the store. Watched as she pinned the manager to the wall with knives. As she locked the doors and pinned the rest of the costumers to tables, walls, and the floor. Watched, impassively, as she crucified him on the wall between a young blond on her first day of work and a teenage boy, who just happened to be visiting her.
Though Jareth had been there the whole day, no one would have recognized the Goblin King. His hair had been cut short and slicked back, his tights and cape were gone, and in there place were slacks and a button up shirt, his tie was loosened. He looked every bit to be the business man relaxing on his lunch break. A lunch break that had taken a very gruesome turn.
Jareth could be gone in moments if he wished, but he didn't wish. And neither did she. She, who had called him. Called me away from a fine night of drinking and Kareoke. He might add. But she had called him with her wish. At first, Jareth thought she wished to be saved from her obvious madness and to fit in with the rest of the world. But as he watched her, he came to realize that she just wanted to be understood.
Now, with a gash in his stomach and bleeding from both wrists the Goblin King lifted his head, looking straight at her. Thank you, he said. Thank you for reminding me how wonderful life can be.

Tilting her head a bit up toward the ceiling which looked like someone went on a frenzy and attacked it with strawberry syrup and various other red fruits here and there, it was as though she was half expecting those voices in her head to communicate her. To talk with her and be a little more sensible than those who wished to despise her for trying to help them...but no nothing at all. Those peculiar voices seemed to quiet down a bit more ever since she got that skeleton...strange. As she was about to stand there dwelling on how to repair the world among the `HELP ME PLEEEAAASE` infested screams, her eyes widened as a `Thank you` directed at her chimed through the air. Who in the world said that....WHO?! Only the voices resting within the depths of her mind seemed to actually be polite when the world had turned its back on her because they didn't comprehend her nor her actions! The voice...it came from...below?
Shifting her gaze down there he was...some blonde man looking up at her. Hearing that voice slip passed his lips thanking her once more, but this time it was for reminding him of how wonderful life can be, it was HIM?! ...who was this person anyway? Did she accidentally trap someone in this trap of awakening pain or...did she...actually...awaken someone for a change...? Bringing her hand up to the back of her head, she pulled down her mask strongly believing that this had to be the day she was waiting for all her life! ....or...what she could remember of it. Words of acceptance, understanding...all while having clear signs of suffering and not sounding as though they were trying to fool her.
The tone seemed so very genuine and it brought her so much hope that this wasn't some sort of trick. Revealing her face to the fellow who actually thanked her, she allowed a gentle and sweet smile to cross her lips...truly touched by the fact that finally someone noticed the light she had been trying to guide poor poor ignorant souls with. Feeling almost like she was a child in a candy store getting all their favorite sweets for doing a wonderful job on their report card, there was just that much happiness dancing around and about in her soul for a change. How very strange it was to actually feel this way all over again...it wasn't a crush or love sort of feeling, just...a `dreams come true and miracles happen...there's hope for others to be thankful in such a beautiful condition!` sort. Even those silvery black optics of hers seemed to contain a sense of joy was felt. Never had this happened...not in her entire memory...! Holding out her hand toward him, she spoke in a calm tone with laces of genuine kindness, "You are very welcome, sir...my name is Mitsuko, Mitsuko Aoki. I also have my thanks to express to you for comprehending the elegance and beauty of pain...at least to such a degree that you yourself have thanked me...you have my gratitude..."
This was DEFINITELY a new one, being treated like an actual human being in this sort of environment, fresh and lovely change of pace really! Such a wonderful treat, especially because, well...she was damn well aware of how the world for the most part probably viewed her as a large imperfection. So an event like this was to be treasured and cherished, no matter how long. At least this would become a lovely memory! Yes, if he bothered to shake her hand, she would most certainly return the friendly gesture with a shake back before putting her hand to her side. However if she didn't get a handshake she would just rest her hand at her side in a mellow fashion not expressing awkwardness.

Jareth watched as the woman removed her mask revealing surprising beauty. Her eyes shone bright with the light of happiness, the light of a dream, a wish, fulfilled. Mitsuko... Mitsuko Aoki, such a lovely name. The Goblin King thought.
The young woman stretched her hand out to him. The Goblin king pulled himself off the wall and let himself fall with preternatural slowness down the few feet to the tilled floor. As he descended all the minor wounds she inflicted upon him fell away, as if they had all been illusions. Which, of course, they had been.
Jareth landed on the ground and, sweeping into an elegant bow, took the hand and raised it to his lips to kiss it. "My dear Mitsuko, such a hard life you have lived. Let me take you away from here. To a world of wonder, were your talents can be fully appreciated."
Jareth could not simply take the girl to the labyrinth, she had to go willingly. She had to want it. But even so, Jareth had no intention of taking the girl to the Labyrinth, it wouldn't be her wish, she needed to go somewhere were pain was pleasure.

....or maybe she was going completely insane and this was the straw that broke her sanity's structure? This man not only pulled himself out of the wall but...his wounds fell off as though they were worn out stickers. All of that was just an illusion...? What in the world was going on?! Didn't he just thank her for showing him how wonderful life could be? That DID mean he was engulfed in a degree of pain.....right? Granted, this woman had seen some pretty strange things in her life but this just took the cake and absolutely devoured it in comparison to anything her memories could seem to pull.
Perhaps all of this was beyond her comprehension, but the thing is did she want to learn more about it? Of course she wanted to find out more about this fellow seeing how very curious he was and clearly couldn't be human. ...oh dear...did she finally go crazy to such an extent where she now just so happens to have an imaginary friend...? No, that couldn't be it...! In comparison to her peers, her clarity was superb and this woman felt as though she didn't require social ties and friendships to exist! Just as she was about to pull her hand away thinking that maybe it would be best to pull her mask back on and rush off somewhere to sort out her thoughts, that's when the man seemed to land upon the ground and sweep into an elegant bow shortly before taking her hand. So...he was going to give her a formal handshake?
Scratch that, once again she was caught a bit off guard by how he brought her hand up to his lips and actually kissed it. It was official, this day was definitely the most memorable and managed to make her thoughts a little more difficult to deal with by far! Thankfully, the man's words put her flurry of thoughts on pause and gave her something new to ponder...not only was he sympathizing with her...but he was offering to take her away from here? A place of wonder...somewhere her talents would be appreciated...? Looking around at the bloody mess around her for a moment...people were slipping and fading, cursing her with their last breath for all the incisions inflicted upon them. Let alone one of the individuals who had layers of their skin peeled and rolled back here and there like some sort of experiment to show off the muscles. Shifting her gaze back toward the man with an offer that wasn't exactly simple to refuse...could she really leave people to drown in their ignorance?
This world wasn't exactly filled with people who would help save people from themselves...at least not to this extent. Reaching to a table quite close to her, those gloved fingertips felt about for a utensil she could use...a sharp object to be exact. Right now, she felt as though she needed a dose of pain to maintain herself from losing her sanity seeing that this moment in its own psychologically felt completely unreal and without pain, it didn't feel real at all. The touch of the man's lips upon her hands wasn't enough to clarify reality. "Your offer seems like one I would be foolish to turn down...though I have come to understand when I was a child that such a place simply doesn't exist...this moment in itself is questionable as well..." Ah ha...there it was, a spork! Not quite as useful as a fork but it'd work for now, wouldn't it?
Tightening her grasp upon it, the sadomasochist of an altered human being rammed it into her side piercing the fabric of her suit as well as her flesh before twisting a couple of times inducing a bit of bleeding to gracefully seep out of her new wound. Some of the people who weren't as injured were in a bit of shock that she actually stabbed herself. Oh yeah they were sure she had some serious issues...! Closing her eyes for a moment before letting out a gentle sigh as though coming to some sort of realization, reopening her optics once more, a gentle smile remained across her lips. "...it seems this moment is in fact truly happening...I do not wish nor mean to call you a liar...so instead of simply assuming you're wrong about a wonderful place where my `talents`, as you put it, are appreciated...please, do tell me more about it," speaking out those words in a calm, level headed manner, she decided to hear this man out at the very least before doing anything she could regret. For all she knew this could be a a friendship with something other than a skeleton. Sure it talked to her like a normal person but something that could walk on its own and accompany her every now and then would be a very nice change of pace to call her friend.
"Hm...but first...may I ask you for your name? After all, as you can tell by our peers...I am surrounded by ignorance which leads to...well...an unfortunate end since they cannot awaken in time..or at all for that matter. Thus...your name is of great importance to me, but I will not hold it against you if you wish to remain anonymous." For someone who could turn a place into a complete and total mess of entrails and bodies, it was possible for her to socialize in a civil fashion to those she deemed fit. Besides, someone can't answer questions if they were no longer alive....and...not her skeleton friend...he was a very special case!

Jareth stood and watched, shocked, as the lovely young woman stabbed herself with a spork. This young woman was obviously in need of some serious mental assistance. But who was he to judge Mitsuko? After all, he wasn't even human and most of the creatures in his dominion were also certifiably insane. "...it seems this moment is in fact truly happening...I do not wish nor mean to call you a liar...so instead of simply assuming you're wrong about a wonderful place where my `talents`, as you put it, are appreciated...please, do tell me more about it," Well, Jareth thought. at least she had a reason to hurt herself.
Jareth spent a moment sad that all her life Mitsuko had been told that her dreams would never come true. Though this poor woman ought not doubt the power of the goblin king, for he was a dream lord. "My dear, why should I waste time describing this place to you, when I could just take you there? And as for my name," Jareth paused for dramatic effect as his body slowly morphed back into its natural shape. His hair grew long and wild, his eyes canted upward and became painted with shadow, and the plain and simple garments he wore became his decadent tights, poets shirt, and glittering blue cape. "My dear, I am Jareth, King of the Goblins and Lord of the Labyrinth. If you wish to enter the world of dreams, turn around."
If she turned Mitsuko Aoki would find herself on a hill top in the dewy light of early morning, overlooking a splendid labyrinth made from glittering, glistening stones, and his castle rising from the center, like a spire reaching toward the heavens.

Pulling the spork out of her flesh with the occasional drip of crimson liquid which were currently at its normal properties for the time being so the floor was safe and sound. Waiting for his response, it wasn't very long, in fact she could of almost swore this man was a bit sympathetic toward her in a genuine fashion all while knowing her true colors too. He really wasn't one to be shoved into a bracket with the majority, was he? Of course not....by now a normal individual would of turn tail and run at the first chance...then again that could go for the peeling off of the wounds. Definitely never saw a normal person do that before... Soon as he began to speak, the sadomasochist listened to his words and continued sharing that same gentle smile as though they were in a room full of sunshine and roses. Telling her that he shouldn't waste his time telling her since he could show her this place. When he was about to introduce himself, respond to her about her name, a little pause was placed there.
Almost as though it was for dramatic effect as though he was someone of great importance. Nonetheless, the woman with blood stained locks continued maintaining her cool and didn't get upset over the minor hesitation in answering her question. Though....something strange most certainly took place, even by her standards as though she watched the transformation take place. Looking a bit more calm and a pinch bit stoic as his hair seemed to grow out and his eyes were now highlighted by a delicate shade of shadow following the new slant of his optics. From average, common clothes one would commonly see in the crowd to something she would expect in some sort of fantasy movie! Definitely a day far out of the ordinary! The pain pulsing from her side indicated that this event was real as can be...so there was no real explanation she, herself could come up with it.
The silence didn't last very long after that which was cut through by the sound of his voice telling her he was Jareth, King of the Goblins and Lord of the Labyrinth....that definitely...shed a bit of light on the subject. Certainly she hadn't a clue as to what he was talking about but clearly he had an intention of educating her somehow about the place he brought up earlier. Wait....all she had to do is turn around to see what he was talking about? No harm in turning around...this structure seemed void of hope for those she tried to save. Shifting her body around, her optics took in the sight of something she hadn't seen nor would expect to be of this world! Part of her even wanted to do a double take but no, the only surprise that could be seen were within her silvery onyx hued optics which was definitely a small change for her usual calm composure. Er...well...this IS the first time anything caught her so...off guard, in a world full of predictable events, actions, and inhabitants...it was definitely out of her strange degree of normal.
