Reason for being on AM: As her 'reward' for her plan to free him from hell, Lucifer gave her her life and her old vessel back. Though um...I used this excuse before Bawb even apped Luci. HOPE THATS OKAY BAWB.
Basic Details
Age: 664 - Vessel's in her early twenties, though.
Species: Demon.
Physical Appearance:
Being a demon with no actual physical form kind of...well, sucks. And Ruby's gotten used to remedying that by possessing body after body since she's been topside. She's not really accustomed in staying in a body for too long - sometimes because something happens to it, sometimes because she just gets bored, but this particular body...has been one she's stuck with for awhile. And she doesn't intend to leave it any time soon, surprisingly enough. She originally chose it to keep Sam from whining about her stealing people's lives - her vessel is, for all intents and purposes, braindead. A coma patient moments away from death when Ruby possessed her. And actually, she's come to prefer the quiet to having a despairing voice constantly screaming in her head - that, and it keeps do-gooders from hassling her about it.
Her current vessel isn't very tall - just kind of barely scraping 5'3, which makes hanging out with the Winchesters kind of...irritating. Not that hanging out with the Winchesters is particularly on her to-do list anymore. She's very thinly built, as well - probably not more than 110 pounds - not nearly as brawny as you might expect a demon to be, to say the least. She's got a clear, lightly tanned complexion and relatively smooth skin, and doesn't wear a whole lot in the way of make-up, either - usually just a bit around the eyes. She's got a very casual look to her, that of a girl who cares about her appearance but doesn't go out of her way to look particularly dressy or frilly unless the occasion calls for it. She's good at adapting to what people want to see, and how they want her to act, for that matter. Most of the time, though, her outfit consists of dark jeans, some colored top, her trademark black leather jacket - and long leather boots. Casually stylish, but hardly impractical.
She's got a sharply defined jaw, and a face that's pretty in an unusual sort of way - it's not a movie star or barbie doll look, but more of a deceptively innocent girl-next-door kind of prettiness. She has dark brown eyes that will, at times, completely flicker to black if she wills them to, the only physical manifestation of her demonic nature. Ruby is good at imitating human expressions. She's practiced at it. It probably helps that she can remember what being human was like, so she's got a bit of an advantage over most demons when it comes to blending in. Her hair is dark brown in color, and very thick, falling down past her shoulders in loose curls when she doesn't bother doing anything with it. She doesn't like to get fancy with her hair - tying it back in a ponytail or clipping parts of it back to keep it out of her face is typically as much as she'll bother to do.
Personality:
A demon - or the kind of demon Ruby is, anyway - is pretty much the result of a human soul spending a good few decades in hell. In hell, you're tortured in the most sickening, unimaginable ways - for years and years, until you forgot everything you once were and have everything good about you stripped away the same way your flesh was - until you start to want to torture other people yourself.
Ruby is kind of a strange case - she's absolutely twisted, without a doubt. Spend a good seventy years or so in hell, and there's no way you're not going to be. Even so, she's considered somewhat 'flawed' by demonic standards, because she still retains memories of her former human life and emotions. And it's not really something she tries to hide - you tell a person something like that, and they're suddenly a whole lot quicker to trust you. Makes manipulation a breeze; everyone's a sucker for a sad, dark soul seeking redemption. Ruby despises pity, but she doesn't have a problem milking it when the end result is having someone wrapped right around her finger. Beyond that, though, she's not really the mopey type. No, she's more the angry type - and she's got no qualms with letting that show right through, when all's said and done.

Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws...
- Overly Ambitious - Her ambition has a rather self-destructive effect on her. Ruby is extremely driven, and when it comes to something she wants? She becomes downright obsessive. It can get to the point where her ambition actually blinds her - even driving her to the brink of insanity.
- humans suck B( - Ruby really, really doesn't like humans, which is a prejudice that ends up being a flaw for several reasons. First, it often leads to her severely underestimating what they're capable of. Secondly, in the end her hatred gets in the way of any real...redemption she might be capable of. And thirdly, a lot of the reason she hates them so much actually stems from her own bitterness at the things they have that she doesn't. The things that were taken from her a long time ago. The unfairness of it all really pisses her off, and it's a major issue of hers.
- demons suck more B( - If there's one thing she probably hates even more than humans, it's other demons - and she'll rarely tolerate alliances with them for any extended length of time. Most of them are far too senselessly violent and sadistic for her tastes. Even worse, being around them reflects what she is right back at her. More than anything, a deeply buried part of Ruby hates what she's become. For all her outward confidence, she really sees herself as nothing more than a monster - and because of that, she refuses to even try to change for the better.
- but hell sucks the most - Man, does it ever. The decades and decades of torture she endured there have really kind of...fucked her up in the head. More than a little. Though she often manages to present herself as being much more...civilized than most demons do, she still has their twisted, violent instincts, and is definitely what you'd call 'unstable'. And, more than anything, she fears having to go back to hell and doing it all over again
- Humanity? - What makes Ruby so unusual for a demon is the fact that she can remember what it was like to be human, which makes a it a little more difficult to let go of that part of herself. While this is also, in a way, a strength because of how well it allows her to understand and manipulate humans, it's most certainly a weakness as well - she can feel a generally broader range of emotions than most demons can: doubt, sadness, longing, self-loathing - even, on occasion, remorse, some empathy, and perhaps even some twisted form of love. As a result, she tends to question her acts a lot more than any monster should. And she just hates herself for it.
- FAK U WINCHESTERS - Ew, Dean and Sam Winchester B(. When it comes to them, Ruby's holding a bit of a grudge...maybe because they, y'know, killed her. If there's ever a time when she's probably going to lose her temper and think irrationally, it's around them. ...Sam, in particular, is especially complicated - because what she felt for him was probably the closest thing any demon has ever felt to love, and if you mention it to her, she's probably immediately going to want to break things. Like your face.
- Some nice morals you got there~ - On the rare occasion Ruby actually does take a genuine liking to someone, you should probably...watch out. Because having a demon care about you is far different than having a person care about you. She tends to be very inadvertently destructive when it comes to relationships, which just...never ends well for anyone.
Physical Flaws...
- Holy Water - While not doing any real permanent damage, holy water - or any blessed substance or object, really - burns like hell. Not pleasant, at all, and it'll usually get her to back off pretty quickly.
- Iron B( - One of the few substances that can ward off a demon a demon in its true, disembodied - or any spirit, really - is iron. So if you're about to be possessed and you have, like, an iron crowbar on hand...swing away, Merill...
best movie :]- angels pls - Angelic powers, to a demon, are definitely something to be feared. Specifically the ones that exist within Supernatural's universe - because, y'know, they can actually kill a demon with their super-exorcising abilities.
- Salt - A demon cannot cross or touch a line of salt. It's a good way to keep them out of - or even confined to - a certain area. The moment the line is broken, of course, all bets are off, but...
- Devil's Trap - Drawing a devil's trap, which looks like this, will keep a demon trapped once they walk above or beneath it.
- o no exorcisms :[ - The proper Latin chant, prevented the chanter...actually knows what they're doing, will forcibly expel Ruby from her vessel. This process, while not fatal, will send a demon right back to hell. And while they can crawl out again, it'll take some time.
