BOARD CANONWIP!
ICC CANONPOSITIVEArthur Pendragon;;Arthur omfg. I could rant forever about this relationship. As much as I have issues with how the show handled Morgana going evil, one thing I do like is how neither of them ever forgot that they
grew up together. They essentially functioned as brother and sister before they even found out that was actually the case. At times they are just completely hilarious together - the way they bicker is just the best, and 90% of the time Morgana is just like "omfg arthur pls", but at the end of the day they do have this awesome bond. The thing is, because Arthur is so devoted to Uther, Morgana's been worrying that having him succeed Uther would basically be like reinstating Uther's discriminatory, harsh, oppressive reign. Arthur recently finding out she could use magic and then
accepting her is probably one of the most profound things that could have happened to Morgana, though. Because the only other person from Camelot she's ever found acceptance with his her sister Morgause, who is most definitely what you'd call a bad influence. But this recent incident has strengthened her bond with Arthur, and pushed her a little further away from the darkness she was beginning to slip into.
Guinevere;;Gwen is actually just the best okay. I love this brotp so much, especially since I think these two sort of...balance each other out? Gwen is open and friendly where Morgana is reserved, Gwen is humble where Morgana is proud, Gwen is easy-going where Morgana is
stubborn as fuck. And even though they are just so completely different, Morgana just adores Gwen. Because seriously, how does a girl deal with Arthur and Merlin bickering all the time without having another gal pal to exchange exasperated looks and eye-rolls with? Of all the people Morgana's considered betraying in order to overthrow Uther, she's struggled most with the idea of possibly having to turn on Gwen. And she really, really hopes it'll never come to that, because Gwen is without a doubt her best friend. <3
Eponine Thenardier;;So at first, Morgana wasn't entirely sure what to think of Eponine. Though haughty in her own right, she doesn't quite share Arthur's general sense of superiority, and has always been a lot friendlier around Eponine than most people of her status and time period would have been. Then there's the fact that Eponine agreed to keep her secret...not only that, but she later proceeded to stand by Morgana and even
defend her during the whole incident with Arthur and Mithos. As far as Morgana's concerned, Eponine has proven herself to be an incredibly loyal person, and loyalty is probably the trait that Morgana values the
most in a person. So if there's one thing she's decided recently, it's that Eponine is an incredibly valuable friend to have.
Oswin Oswald;;Oswin was one of the first people Morgana met here on AM, and Morgana is completely grateful for that - because Oswin played a big part in helping her to adjust to modern times, and all. Then there's the fact that, via timey wimey stuff and younger!Oswin, Morgana kinda sorta...accidentally found out about Oswin's past. Morgana's not really the type to pity people; what she remembers most about that encounter is not the horror of finding out what Oswin went through...it's the respect she feels for the decision Oswin made in agreeing to face her future to save the Doctor's life. That kind of bravery is not something Morgana takes lightly, and she thinks Oswin's pretty darn awesome because of it.
Garchomp;;Dude. Garchomp is
a dragon. How cool is that?! Morgana, at this point in her canon, doesn't know her bestest dragon buddy Aithusa yet, but she knows plenty about dragon lore. In her world, dragons are not only sentient and intelligent, but they are incredibly powerful creatures of magic and absolutely something to be respected. So really, Morgana just thinks that Garchomp's awesome, respects her infinitely, and is relentlessly curious about her dragon-y ways.
Mituna;;Morgana rather likes Mituna (because really, how could you not?). She finds him a bit bemusing, and she's kind of like "dude you have to stop falling all the time, you're easy prey, tHIS CRUEL WORLD WILL WALK ALL OVER YOU" blah blah blah, but yeah. Cynicism aside, she genuinely does like him, and finds it easier to trust him because of his rather child-like nature.
NEUTRALLoki;;Everyone seems to
really hate Loki, but Morgana...can't really see why. Mostly because he's started to manipulate her, but. She doesn't really particularly like or trust him enough to call him a friend or ally yet, but nor does she dislike him or hold anything against him unlike most of the ICC. See, Loki...sort of only told her
his version of what happened to him, and how he was robbed of his rightful throne. And she really does sympathize with him - though at the same time she recognizes his power and is going to proceed to tread carefully around him for awhile longer.
Mithos;;Morgana doesn't know a whole lot about Mithos - in fact, as far as she knows he's just a twelve year old kid who happens to know magic, and she's never really pried further than that. They're on fairly neutral terms, and she doesn't particularly mind him - she just doesn't really know him. Him being (in her eyes) a child, and his recent reaction to Arthur's discrimination, however, stirred a bit of empathy in her - he kind of reminds her of Mordred at this point, another child who Morgana cared for and who was nearly killed when it was discovered that he used magic.
Kazuma;;Like Mithos, Morgana doesn't know very much about Kazuma, either. She does suspect that something's slightly...off with him, though, mainly because she actually witnessed him disappearing and being replaced with Hazama once, and was never really given a proper explanation for it. However, all things considered, she has nothing against Kazuma. He's polite, likeable enough, and seems to have more sense than many she's had to spend time with in the ICC.
Kyubey;;Cute fluffy thing? Except there's the fact that she recently witnessed him
get killed, replace himself with an identical copy, and eat his own corpse omg wtf. Kyubey sort of bewilders her, but as far as she knows he's nothing but a particularly strange (and cute) magical creature, so she's not too worried about him at the moment.
John Egbert;;Morgana's only just met him, but as far as first impressions go, he made a good one on her. He displayed a certain friendliness that's sort of rare to see in the ICC, and Morgana mostly thinks he seems to be a pretty okay guy - although of course she barely knows him.
Dave Strider;;Wow, this guy. He swears. A
lot. Morgana's not particularly keen on that sort of vulgarity, and she's let Dave know it in the past - however, she's not precisely on bad terms with him, and she generally does tolerate his presence.
Nyarlathotep;;omfg morgana pls. Stop being on neutral terms with these horrible villains. She's only really met Nyarlathotep once, and she recognizes that he is clearly dangerous. She's curious about him, and almost sort of drawn to/fascinated by the
terrifying darkness he exudes
morgana pls don't join a nyarlathotep cult, but she's smart enough to 'observe from afar', so to speak.
NEGATIVEMerlin;;Poor Merlin, on the negative list. But I've pulled Morgana from early season three, which means that from her point of view the last time she encountered Merlin was when he
tried to poison her. Morgana's involvement with Morgause at that time was somewhat tentative - she was more confused, lost, and determined to bring Uther down than anything, but she still counted Merlin as her
friend. She
trusted him, even simply
adored him at times, and instead of trying to reason with her, instead of trying to help her when she needed it most...he tried to kill her. From her point of view, that was an unforgivable betrayal of trust - in fact, now her trust is so badly shaken that it's difficult for her to put much faith in anyone any more. And yeah, at this point she kind of sort of wants Merlin dead or something. SORRY MERLIN YOU POOR THING D:
but i mean, the betrayal written all over her face in this scene just explains it better than i ever couldBlack Mage;;bluck magnus pls. For the most part, as far as Morgana's concerned? He's rude, obnoxious, senselessly violent, and has a frequent tendency to abuse his power. He's threatened her and Arthur once before, too, and she's not the type that forgets or forgives that sort of thing. She doesn't fdhdjkhfjkd H8 HIM OMG or anything, but she's not his biggest fan, either.
Hazama;;So Morgana knows next to nothing about this guy, hasn't really spoken to him much, and has only been in the same room as him a couple of times. But Oswin
really seems to hate him, and Morgana has no particular interest in him otherwise, so that's enough for her to just dislike him on principle. She's still really confused about the Kazuma thing, though.
As always IF I'VE FORGOTTEN ANYONE SORRY, I WAS MUCH LESS CONFIDENT ON THIS THAN I WAS ON REGINA'S.
