The faint sound of an amused chuckle could be heard rolling through the dim basement where the No-Life King made his lair. Sitting comfortably in the only chair in the room -- a plush, high-backed, royal-seeming armchair -- was the legendary vampire himself. Red eyes glittered faintly from behind the heavily-tinted sunglasses adorning his face even in the darkness of the basement. And upon his lips....was a broad grin.
Arms folded loosely over his stomach, fingers loosely interlocked, he was slumped low in his seat, quietly watching the massive television before him. Aside from the sounds of the cartoonish antics on the screen, the only sound was the occasional laugh from the nosferatu. The TV's sudden appearance was mysterious, but it had come as a desperate bargain from an idiotic vampire. He had offered it up as a distraction to try and give him an opening to attack the king of vampires. All it had done was get his brains splattered across the wall from a different angle.
The Netflix, on the other hand...that had been a gift to himself. Courtesy of Integra, of course.

The room, if things had continued normally, would have only had one occupant. However, as the television continued to blare and the show progressed in its linear form of entertainment, a small creature slipped out of the shadows of a corner. There had been no way for it to enter from that direction, but that had never stopped Kyubey before. Flicking his tail, he cast a careful look around the room, dismissing the television and focusing on the one sitting in the chair. He took a few steps forward, moving soundlessly, and then sat down neatly some distance away from the chair itself, at the foot of the television. When dealing with less familiar entities, it was best to be careful - simply sneaking up on him could provoke some unpleasantness.
Eyes glowing faintly whenever the light from the tv dimmed, he looked up at the nosferatu with a complete lack of fear.
"Hello!" he said, tilting his head. "I apologize for interrupting your program, but I wish to speak with you!" This had been something of the highest priority - while many in this world were brimming with potential energy, few showed as much as Alucard did. Thus, at least sounding him out for a contract was necessary - if he refused, he would be removed from the list of those who needed to be observed. It was arguable that one with his power still needed to be watched, but if he proved no threat to their goals and did not do anything to further the cause of entropy, there was no need to continue to shadow him.
Regardless, everything would work out in the end. [/size]
