Name: Ferghus Niul
Alias:Bad Parenting Skills Ferghus, King of the Jungle, Mufasa, Aslan, Simba, Lion-O N/A
Age: 47
Ranking: Neutral
Physical Appearance: Serious Face 1 Here's a 2 Full body shot And the many serious faces
Yeah... he really looks like a normal Leomon. Nothing to it really. Although for the sake of a number, he's 9'1" tall, and weighs about 743 lbs. (mostly muscle, of course).
Personality: The best way to put this guy is that he's very serious... ALL THE TIME. He has a habit of putting more focus on his work than anything, hardly giving a glance to others unless he or she is relevant to his current task. Of course, that likely won't stop other people from distracting this lion man. In return, Ferghus will likely get rather angry, although tries to keep his temper in control. Even without getting angry, the Leomon isn't too friendly in general. Now he won't get annoyed by someone joking around (assuming he or she doesn't take it too far), but expecting him to laugh is a lost cause. Despite this, if you give him alcohol, he'll be tempted to pour himself a drink or two. Do note that Ferghus is not an alcoholic by any means. If he was, it's doubtful he'd be able to take care of his son.
Speaking of that, his parenting skills are not so wonderful. That's not to say he doesn't know how to take care of a kid at all, since Ferghus figured rather quickly that making money to buy food, school tuition, and what not for his son was important. Granted, that was also an obvious fact. To put it simply, he isn't what one would call a prime example of a babysitter (unless you need someone with the eyes of a hawk). His godson, Tomonari, is a different situation. Ferghus finds it rather awkward to talk to his son about more personal issues, and has to force himself to smile, no matter how fake it is. However, he has found it within himself to protect the boy at all costs, and God have mercy on your soul if you do anything to harm his kid.
Another thing to note about Ferghus... he's kind of a jerk. It does go back to his not being very friendly attitude, but he doesn't go out of his way to be mean to people. When he is a jerk, Ferghus is usually either in a bad mood, or does it to make someone go away.
Powers/Abilities:
- Although not too important aside from a couple factors, his base form is always that of the digimon Leomon. Because of this, his digivolution line before this form is not too important. However, Ferghus does not have the ability to digivolve any further at this time, partially because there was no need.
- His appearance does actually dictate how powerful he is physically. Ferghus more or less has retained the habit of training himself, really due to habit from when he was in the military. He has the ability to lift two and a half tons at most, although this is also due to the factor of digimon have supernatural powers in general.
- As for his defenses, Ferghus can withstand strong, physical blows to the point where a normal person would hardly be able to scratch him. That's really it for this one.
- Going back to his military training, he has a great deal of self-defense ability, although wrestling seems to be a bit more common in use. Piledriving lion man? He's right here in front of you! Aside from that though, Ferghus knows how to use military weapons, although nowadays it doesn't seem like this is put to much use.
- Being an animal of sorts, Ferghus has much better hearing and sense of smell than a normal human being. Useful to have, and it's really natural instinct at this point.
- Fishing, and more than just hook-bait-toss line-wait-catch. No, I mean he can simply through a large net into the water, and pull up a school of fish no problem! He also does this WITH NO OTHER EQUIPMENT.
Innate Leomon attacks- As he is a digimon, each species has its own attacks that come with the form. Here are the attacks he knows as a Leomon:
Other Attacks: Just other attacks he can use that he learned over the years.
Equipment:
- His fists and feet (which he will use much more often)
- His Beast Sword (rarely used)
- Victor, his fat American Alsatian dog (...if he does anything)
Psychological Flaws: Bad bad bad bad bad temper. No amount of 'bad' can describe how bad Ferghus's temper can get. Sure it makes him a grouchy old man, but he doesn't seem to care much, especially since he's on a world foreign to him, with there hardly being any people that could help him out, or at least, he thinks that way. Sometimes though, Ferghus's anger can lead him to be violent, although he at least tries to hold this back. The way to really tick him off though is threaten his son in some way. ALL HELL WOULD BREAK LOOSE.
Oh, and the whole 'serious face' thing he has. Ferghus isn't too fun in general, and doesn't get jokes, so expect some confused looks... or him not laughing. He also tends to be rather stubborn as well.
Physical Flaws: Want try a physical attack? Okay! He'll take it a like a man. Want to use some form of magical attack or other? Keep shooting until Ferghus is down! Seriously, he doesn't work too well against magic based attacks, moreso if they're ranged. Although ranged attacks in general work well against this digimon to keep him away. Despite having a tough body though, Ferghus can still bleed, be cut, and what not (it just depends on what's hitting him). He can also get sick as well.
Other Flaws: His godson, Tomonari. That kid's really the best way to get back at Ferghus. Also, getting Ferghus drunk is the PERFECT way to make him more violent and grumpy than usual, even to the point of him saying things he doesn't mean! ...or does he?
Brief History: Like his godson, Tomonari, Ferghus was born on Maternion (see Tomonari's profile), and as he is a digimon, was born on the digital side of this world. There really isn't too much to say about his childhood, and his parents were rather strict. However, unlike one of the more common outcomes, Ferghus became a serious child. It wasn't that people made fun or him or anything, it was more that he was rather intimidating to most other kids, which was why he didn't have many friends to begin with. Generally though, despite his rookie form being an Elecmon as a child, he was somewhat larger than usual. Not insanely larger, but above average seems like the better term for his size.
Like with his childhood, there wasn't too much to say about his teenage years. He essentially went through school the same as any other kid of his generation, although like some digimon, he remained in rookie form for more or less most of these years. Even then though, Ferghus didn't mess around. It wasn't until he was eighteen that he finally, and permenantly, digivolved to his champion form, a Leomon. Around this same time, he became stuck as to what he would do the rest of his life. Despite this being a rather hasty decision, he couldn't figure out anything else to do. That decision being Ferghus joining the military, which he would be in for quite a few years from now on.
His military training was the full reason he has the capabilities he has today (minus the fishing at this point). Ferghus made sure he learned how to defend himself, and even trained more than he had to. Even though he there wasn't too often where he had to fight seriously, Ferghus did what he had to, his preferred fighting style being less about the abilities he had as a digimon, and more hand to hand combat. As such, this was where wrestling came in handy, with that being a more specific means of preferred combat. Being in the military also meant he had to learn how to use various, military weapons, for lack of better words. The downside to all of this, however, was that Ferghus became more of a serious man, which further explains his current attitude.
During his military career, he became friends with a human man named Juan Sanchez. Granted, Juan had to work at it before befriending Ferghus, really due to the latter's personality. Over the next few years, the lion man essentially became Juan's stoic ally, more or less following him around when Ferghus was dragged along. After a while though, Ferghus began to mind this less and less, but it felt rather awkward even smirking at things. But aside from this, he met a few other people, such as Juan's future wife Brenda, as well as the parents of Ferghus's future godson.
Some more years go by, and Ferghus was thirty-two years old when his friends Dane and Saotome Cahal had a child named Tomonari. It may have seemed like an odd decision, but for some reason or another, Ferghus was chosen as this kid's godfather. He didn't know how to react to this, but the lion man payed no mind to this litte fact. He merely assumed there would be no need for Ferghus to take care of Tomonari, as the whole 'godfather' thing was usually a last resort sort of deal. At least, the digimon thought this until about five years later. He didn't see the next event coming, that was for sure.
(Note: see Tomonari's profile for more details) While out on a small gathering for dinner one day, a series of events happened where Tomonari's parents where killed by a digimon who couldn't control his digivolution apparently, and Ferghus fought back in order to protect the five year old human. Being stopped before chasing after the culprit, other things came to mind. For one, two of his friends were now dead, and there came the fact again that Ferghus was the boy's godfather. At first, the lion man wanted to find another relative for the kid to stay with, but a short conversation with Juan more or less caused Ferghus to have to become Tomonari's father.
Proving this to be extremely difficult, Ferghus eventually decided to quit his military career, and just settle down to take care of his son. He took the boy to live in Motherboard City, which was on the digital plane of their world. It was here that the Leomon obtained a job as a fisherman at the docks, which explains where he obtained the ability to fish. This more or less became his current occupation up until the current point in time. Over the course of the first year of taking care of Tomonari, however, Ferghus's godson eventually came to terms with living with Ferghus... although even then, this attatchment was awkward to the Leomon. He didn't know how to respond, and merely just attempted to adjust as well as he could to this.
Once again, Ferghus's life essentially boiled down to the same routine. Not that he had anything to complain about. At one point he decided to get a dog... as that kind of seemed like the right thing to do. Granted, since this would technically be Ferghus's dog, and not Tomonari's, the lion man was the one who would take care of it. The dog was their world's equivalent of an American Alsatian, who was named Victor. In all fairness, Ferghus wasn't too good with names, although this one was probably better than other things he could come up with (that, and Victor ended up testing his patience... A LOT). Some years later, also relating to dogs, Ferghus bought Tomonari a puppy for the boy's fifttenth birthday, this puppy being named Galahad.
Soon after, was the next strange event to occur. Both Ferghus's son, and his son's dog, more or less vanished without a trace. This led to the lion man panicking a little bit, even leading to ideas that Tomonari could have possibly ran away. On the outside, Ferghus held through this strange ordeal, saying nothing of it aside from wandering around every so often, trying to find his son. However, the lion man began to consume alcohol, eventually leading himself to becoming drunk at one point. This was at home though, since it turned out Ferghus being drunk led him to be rather violent. The morning after that he found part of the living room torn up, and also had a really painful migraine.
As for the most recent things that happened, well, it more or less happened the same way as his son, unbeknown to Ferghus. Some strange distortion caught the lion man while walking Victor (who actually got off his fat butt for once), and dragged them into a world unknown to them. From there, it seemed that Afterhour Mayhem's world had new visitors.
Reason for being on AM: To find his son, and possibly his son's dog, and bring them home.

However, Ferghus will use this attack in close ranged combat more often, figuring out that actually punching + attack is rather effective.
- Beast Sword- ....he slices someone with his sword. Seriously... that's it.
- Crushing Kick- A strong, roundhouse kick
to the face.

- Beast Headbutt- A very strong headbutt.
