THE MASTER
Koschei | Harold Saxon
Koschei | Harold Saxon
Basic Details
Age: Somewhere around the 900's
Species: Gallifreyan; Time Lord
Physical Appearance:The Master is of average height and build. Unlike his last regeneration, an old man named Professor Yana, this regeneration is young, like the Doctor. His hair color is a dirty blond that can appear black or brown depending on the lighting. He has a thin face. Other than this, his physical features are quite normal. He certainly isn't one you'd expect to be an evil mastermind. He generally wears dark suits which look very official and business-like. His clothes, much like his appearance in general, are entirely normal.
Personality:Having chose the title of 'Master' for himself, it should be very clear that the Master is very arrogant and vain. He believes himself above everyone he meets and considers almost nobody important, unless they're a major part of some plan of his. Speaking of plans, the Master always seems to have some sort of plan. Almost all of these plans result in him getting power of some sort. See, the Master craves power and he'll stop at nothing to gain it. In fact, he'll often kill and torture things just for the fun of it. For instance he ordered his army of Toclafane to decimate one tenth of the human population despite it having absolutely nothing to do with his goal. His goal was, of course, to conquer the galaxy.
The Master is also exceedingly vain. When the Doctor first addressed him by hi name, the Master seemed to be overcome with joy and told that the Doctor that he loved it when he used his name. So, basically, the Master chose his name because he just loves being referred to by a title that puts him above whoever he's talking to. When he did manage to defeat the Doctor by aging him by a hundred years he spent most of his time complimenting himself and his plan and rubbing his victory into the Doctor's face. As you could probably have told by now, the Master is very malevolent. Most people would call it straight-up evil. He doesn't care about others and has absolutely no problem with killing people - he even seems to enjoy it.
the Master is clearly obsessed with gaining any sort of victory over the Doctor. This is probably because the Doctor has foiled every single one of his plans since they met. The Master would definitely die if it meant beating the Doctor. But, the Master and the Doctor are more similar than they might like to think. The Master is, of course, just as clever as the Doctor is. He has the same level of intelligence and that is what makes him such a deadly opponent. Each of his plans are usually well thought out and are only stopped by someone with a similar intelligence to the Master himself. Of course, there are also the many, many ways that the Master is not like the Doctor. For instance, he is incredibly manipulative. He doesn't seem to care at all about tricking someone into being his wife and practically brainwashing them.
The Master's opinion of others... well, it depends on who they are. If they're just some human the Master will immediately consider himself above them. See, he has a superiority complex that makes him feel as though he is superior to everyone in the world. This complex commonly manifests as the Master acting dramatic and boasting about his own success. As with most superiority complexes, the Master's is actually a defense mechanism to hide his own feelings of inferiority from himself. A good example of this is when the Master lost to the Doctor he broke down to the point of curling up into a ball. He recovered, but even then it seemed like he was desperate to be superior again. Of course, in relation to his feelings on other, his superiority complex stands in the way of good relations with people as it causes him to look down on everyone he meets. The Master is also highly xenophobic of... pretty much everything but Time Lords. Humans, Daleks, you name it and the Master almost definitely doesn't like it.
For all his bad traits, the Master actually has a number of good traits. As mentioned before, the Master is very clever. Although this trait is generally considered a good one, the Master of course puts it to bad purpose and uses it to make plans that have nearly put an end to people just as clever as himself. The Master also has a tendency to, when planning, really think outside the box. That's why most of his plans are very big and unpredictable. A good example of this is when the Master used his laser screwdriver to make the Doctor older instead of killing him. Most people would just kill him right there, but the Master instead made him unable to do anything, thus forcing him to watch as the Master conquered the Earth. He also had the foresight to install isomorphic controls into his screwdriver, making the Doctor unable to use it.
Finally, one must mention why the Master has changed from somebody who used to be the Doctor's friend in childhood to the person he is now. When the Master stared into the Time Vortex as a child he went mad and gained a constant drumbeat in his head. This was the Time Lords' plan to make him eventually bring them back. The drums drove the Master insane, making him into an entirely different person and shaping him into who he is now.

Powers & Abilities
- Regeneration: The Master is, essentially, immortal. Don't take that the wrong way, though - the Master technically can die. But, when he dies, or when he's about to die, he has the choice to regenerate into a new body and keep going on. There are many mysteries behind the process of regeneration, such as if the regenerator is able to choose anything about his regeneration. What is known is that after a regeneration the Time Lord who regenerated has to get used to the new body for a bit.
- Inventor: The Master is a skilled inventor. He was able to invent his own Laser Screwdriver as well as a variety of other things, such as the old Tissue Compression Eliminator he used to use. If he puts his mind to it, the Master would be able to invent most anything he wanted to. His Laser Screwdriver, a highly advanced piece of technology, was invented on Earth with resources he could find there instead of other dimensions or worlds.
- High Intelligence: The Master may be childish and crazy, but he's highly intelligent. He's the Doctor's equal on this front, proving time and time again that he and the Doctor's intellects match with his schemes. The Master has a large amount of knowledge about other dimensions and alien species, as well as otherworldly deities. Much of this knowledge comes from the books he has in his TARDIS' library.
- Telepathy: Much like the Doctor, the Master can pick up on people's thoughts if he wants to. By simply toning into someone's mind he's able to listen in and hear whatever he wants. When making physical contact with someone this connection is much stronger and allows him to look through one's mind and see what he wants to see.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main/Important Equipment
- Laser Screwdriver: To contrast with the Doctor's non-violent multipurpose tool the Sonic Screwdriver, the Master invented his own handy tool - the Laser Screwdriver. It's the Sonic Screwdriver except it's made for killing and violence. The Screwdriver has a variety of settings, all of which are for destroying things. For instance, it can fire a laser that kills on contact, a beam that increases people's age and one that shrinks people down to voodoo-doll size things, which also kills them. It has a variety of other functions, such as one that disintegrates objects and cuts through things. It can also do everything the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver can do.
- TARDIS: After making a makeshift TARDIS and going to the past to obtain a fully-functioning TARDIS, the Master... has a fully functioning TARDIS. Well, technically he had two... But we'll get to the second one later. The TARDIS can travel to any time or world the Master need to get to. The TARDIS is also fully equipped with a complex camouflage mechanism that allows it to look like any object. It is also equipped with a library containing many dark and occult novels, most notably the Necronomicon itself.
Weaknesses
Psychological Flaws...
- Here Come the Drums: The Master has a constant drumbeat in his head, which was put there by the Time Lords when they resurrected him for the Time War. The drumbeat is constantly going on in the Master's head and yes, it bothers him. It bothers him so much that it's indescribable.
- I CANNOT SELF-TERMINATE: The Master loves himself way too much to kill himself. This is what the Doctor used to stop him from destroying the Earth with a Black Hole Converter. While this might be very difficult to exploit, the Doctor managed to do it before....
Physical Flaws...
- "Mortal": The Master is completely mortal in the sense that if you shoot him, he dies. Of course, he can regenerate, but he'll be dead for a little bit. Plus, he only has a few regenerations left...
Other Flaws...
- The Doctor: As mentioned before, the Doctor is kinda the Master's obsession. He'll stop at nothing to get victory over the Doctor. Whether it's murder, brainwashing... you name it, the Master will definitely do it to get a victory over the Doctor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History....
Wiki link because absurdly long history :B Also ignore anything regarding the Master dying and regenerating after the Harold Saxon phase.
The Master managed to escape the vehicle and create a makeshift TARDIS to first travel back in time to ensure that he continues on as Prime Minister and obtain a real TARDIS.
