Physical Appearance: {Keep if you don't have a picture and fill that shiz out!, optional to get rid of all together if you have a picture}
Personality:
Éponine is, for lack for a better word, tough. Though she was a rather spoiled and bratty girl as a child, one does not live on the streets of Paris for nine years without acquiring at least something of a strong exterior. Things that might shock anyone else are nothing but a daily sight to her. She isn't an easy girl to rattle or scare, and one would have a time of it if they wanted to.
That being said, it's a common occurrence for creatures with a tough exterior to have a soft interior. And, at times, this is quite true of Éponine. Secretly, she longs to leave her life on the streets for the one she was promised as a child: a rich, comfortable life with everything she could ever dream of having. However, her bitter and jaded view of the world doesn't quite allow for her to hope to ever have any life but her own. It's common to find her fantasizing about this life, however, she doesn't disillusion herself into thinking she might actually have it.
Her love for Marius Pontmercy knows little in the way of bounds. She would, quite literally, die for him and was entirely prepared to before she was taken. Éponine is almost completely devoted to him, even if she knows he can never truly be his. Her life seems to be quite made up of longing for things that are just out of her reach. Still, even though he loves another, Éponine would do anything to prove her devotion to him, and perhaps receive a bit of affection in return.
A lot of this is due to her not having a lot of love in her life. Eponine doesn't really got on well with her family, save for her sister Azelma and her younger brother Gavroche. Her parents are another story. While Eponine's mother, Madame Thenardier, dotes on her daughters, there isn't a lot of doting to be done during these times and generally is too lazy to care too, too much about them. Her father, Monsieur Thenardier, is even worse, using Eponine to deliver letters and beating her if it isn't done. His anger and frustration at having fallen so far socially is taken out on her and on Azelma, though Eponine often takes beatings so that her younger sister won't have to. Azelma is the only family member Eponine is loyal towards, and she looks out for her. Pretty much the only reason that Eponine stays with her family is because without them, she'd have nowhere else to go.
Apart from her family, Eponine doesn't really get a chance to socialize with others, unless it's for her own purposes. Marius is her only friend, though it's hinted that she and Montparnasse (a member of the Patron-Minette, a gang that her father belongs to) have had a brief romantic relationship. She's closer to him than any other member of the gang, but he's more like an ally than a friend. Eponine can grow to like other people, but they must show her kindness first. She isn't a social butterfly, but she isn't an extreme introvert either. Her social skills just didn't get the chance to develop.
Eponine is certainly an assertive girl. If given the chance, she would do whatever it took to get out of her situation, so long as her sister was allowed the same chance as well. She's tough enough to stand up to the entire Patron-Minette, all of them armed, and chase them away from the house that Marius and his lover Cosette were. She isn't afraid to stand up to anyone, and she's determined to show most people that she's more than just a simple street rat. Despite living with her family, Eponine is also independant. She can get along just fine by herself, but she does know that she needs a place to stay. That's why she stays with her family, as well as to protect Azelma. But, she does know how to get food and steal money for herself.
She's also quite adapable. Stick her in a new place, a new city or anywhere, and by the end of the week, she'll know the best places to get food and money and perhaps shelter as well. She can stick it out of the streets almost anywhere and has had to survive in tough conditions.
Kindness and love are what motivates her. She will do anything for a scrap of affection from anyone. Show Eponine a bit of kindness, and she'll likely stick by you no matter what. She also has a rather sweet side to her, which doesn't really come out unless she's around people that she likes and trusts. The smallest bits of joy excite her, and there isn't anything she takes for granted. She's almost childlike when it comes to new things, and something even as small as a flower will make her happy.

Powers & Abilities
stealin' stuff :]: Yeah, this is pretty straightforeward. You live on the streets and you learn to steal or starve to death, so. Eponine's pretty light-fingered when it comes to taking wallets from people's pockets and food from idk carts or something. She's not good with shop-lifting, through because um. Closed quarters. No. What even are stores, man, why aren't these people in a marketplace or some shit.
FIGHTAN: Or more like. Beating the hell out of other people on the street for food. Eponine's been in a few brawls and stuff. She's not like the BEST FIGHTER EVER by any stretch of the means but she knows how to throw a punch or kick a man where the sun don't shine if necessary. She also fights really dirty and isn't afraid to stoop low.
i'm ~ADAPTABLE~: Stick Eponine in a new place and immediately, she'll start finding out things about it. She knows how to adapt to any sort of enviroment to an extent, find out places to get food and even shelter. Eponine's just really street-smart, she's had to be for the past ten years.COSMIC POWA: she got a powa. and she can distoy us all the haamaguys

History....
{Note: Eponine's history is mostly a combination of book and musical.}
Eponine's childhood, up until about the age of eight, was a happy time. She and her sister, Azelma, lived in comfort with their parents in in the inn the family ran, always provided with food and pretty dresses and comfortable beds and toys. When she was around three years old, Eponine's parents, Monsieur and Madame Thenardier, took in the child of a woman named Fantine, promising to care for her while her mother cannot.
The girl's name was Cosette, and unfortunatly, the Thenardiers didn't make good on their promise. While Eponine and Azelma were spoiled, Cosette was treated horribly. She was treated as the family servant, and Eponine noticed her in the same way she'd notice a dog. Except even a dog would get petted and fawned over, Cosette just got bullied. Eponine wasn't an unkind child, but every day, she saw her mother push Cosette around and, as a child, she assumed it was alright to do so.
This all changed on Christmas Eve one year, when a man came back with Cosette from fetching water from the well. He seemed to be a poor man that the Thenardiers wouldn't be particularly interested in (they enjoyed conning rich people who stayed at the inn out of money), until he left and returned with a doll for Cosette, the finiest doll in the town of Montfermeil. For the first time, Eponine envied Cosette and by the next morning, the little girl was gone, having left with the man who, unbeknownst to the Thenardier family, Jean Valjean, an ex-convict who had promised Fantine before she died that he would care for Cosette.
After Cosette left, things starting going downhill for the inn. Without Fantine to extort or money from the dwindling numbers of guests at the inn, the Thenardiers were forced into bankruptcy. M. Thenadier moved his family to Paris, hoping that the city would provide him with the relative riches he once had. The only thing it provided him with was a bridge to sleep under for the entire winter. Confused and scared, Eponine could only follow with her parents and look after Azelma, while she experienced poverty for the first time. She'd never even gone a day without food, much less almost a year of living under a bridge with only the barest of necessities. And sometimes, not even that.
By some means, Thenardier was able to garner enough money so that the family could move into a garret in the Gorbeau tennent, a shabby, old, falling apart equivilent of an apartment building. It certainly wasn't much, but it was four walls and a roof that the family hadn't had in a year. And, for ten years, that was how they lived. Thenardier came up with the idea of writing letters to various members of the middle and high class, begging for money and having his ragged daughters deliver them. In the days spend running about the city, Eponine lost much of the beauty she had possessed as a child. Her father rarely spent the small amout of money on anything but himself, so she grew thin and emaciated, her clothing deteriorating to rags.
By the time Eponine and Cosette met again, they had completely switched places.
During her time in Paris, Eponine met Marius Pontmercy, a law student that had moved from his rich grandfather's home to the apartment next to hers in order to make his way in the world. They first encountered each other when Eponine was sent to beg money from him with one of her father's letters. Their encounter was...not really the best, but Eponine continued to want to speak with him. Awkward as their first meeting was, Marius was one of the first people to treat Eponine with kindness, which kept her coming back to him. Eventually, he opened up and spoke with her on a number of occasions.
The two began a slightly unsteady friendship, and Eponine found herself falling in love with Marius. She, however, kept this to herself, knowing that it was doubtful that Marius would even return her feelings. This turned out to be her biggest mistake, for one day, Marius spotted a girl on the street outside of the Gorbeau tenant and was instantly struck by her beauty. It was love at first sight, and Eponine recognized the girl immediately. It was Cosette, grown up under the watchful eye of Jean Valjean.
And she wasn't the only one who recognized her. Thenardier and the gang he was on good terms with, the Patron Minette, in an attempt to make Valjean pay for taking Cosette, attacked him in the street, which bought about the attention of Inspector Javert. Eponine fled after giving the warning and met up with Marius, who asked her to find out Cosette's address for him. She agreed and set out, returning to the Cafe Musain after she had completed her task. Leading Marius to the house that Cosette and Valjean shared, Eponine stood guard outside while Marius climbed the garden gates in order to talk to Cosettewow what a stalker.
Hours passed, and Eponine was suddenly alerted to the presence of the Patron Minette, come to rob the house. They discovered her outside, and initially, Eponine attempted to distract her father before telling him that there wasn't anything in the house that they could possibly want. Finally, she threatened to scream and wake the rest of the street and the police. The gang backed down at this, slinking off into the shadows while Eponine went in the other direction, away from them. The loose ties to her family besides Azelma were cut and she spent the rest of the time leading up to the revolution fending for herself.
One night, Cosette left a letter out on her gate for Marius, because she knew that she may not ever see him again. Eponine intercepted this letter and kept it from Marius, hoping to sever his ties with Cosette in a fit of spiteful jealousy towards the other girl. Eponine followed Marius to the barricade, the site of the revolution that he was taking place in, and fought along side Les Amis de l'ABC for the freedom of France. Or, at least that was what they were fighting for. Eponine was merely there to be close to Marius.
Unfortunately, when the National Guard stormed the barricade for the first time, Eponine spotted a solider with his gun aimed right at Marius. Horrified, she ran forward without thinking, covering the barrel of the gun with her hand so that it went through both her hand and her chest. Dying, she fell and with her final moments, gave the letter from Cosette to Marius while he held her in his arms. Eponine died almost immediately after.
