With a little black spider peeking up from the lens covering her empty eye socket, the so called traveling magician figured it would be a great idea to wander about and travel! Besides, there were also rumors about some crazy attacks that seemed to match the supernatural sort of m.o so maybe she could actually use her...unique...ability to help? The details were juuuust a bit fuzzy but she was sure she could handle it pretty easily! Well that's if she found anything...but for now, she was walking along the street trying to find some food that wasn't human flesh. Sure, it tasted alright for the most part, but she would much rather something like a salad or something that didn't cause her to be a cannibalistic monster. Bringing her hand upon her chin while glancing around...there was one question ringing about in her head: Where to go..? There were so many choices and it's not like Zenon knew this place very well.
Let alone many places very well and...approaching people was juuust a slightly terrifying thought! Sometimes she wondered if they had some sort of weird...zombie detection sense or whatever since some of the passing people gave her odd looks. Forcing on a nervous smile, she slowly lifted her hand and waved at someone looking at her funny. Try to be friendly...try to blend in...."Weirdo.." muttered the individual which caused her to quirk a brow and frown. Rude, much? Unless that was the new form of polite...pretty doubtful but the modern world was an interestingly confusing place to be!
In fact, it was REALLY difficult to tell when people were actually being nice or just downright rude! If only she had friends...who...were not a particular spider scurrying back into her eye socket she called Frisky. Oh well...she'd just keep wandering about with her hands hidden in her pockets for now looking like a lost tourist or something. This whole venture was nothing short of complete awkwardness.

So. This was the third demon this week. Was that normal? Phoebe was pretty sure that wasn't normal - not that anything about demon hunting was normal, but even for her standards...this was strange. Something had gotten them all worked up - and unfortunately, she and her sisters were the ones that had to clean up their messes. Though lately, it'd been less... 'her and her sisters' and more...just...her. Phoebe knew better than to complain. Piper had two kids to take care of and a club to run, and Paige had her whitelighter duties on top of her witch duties now, so when the two of them were busy it was usually Phoebe's job to hunt down whatever was going bump in the night by herself. It was just...kind of annoying, especially when she was dealing with a demon like this one. She hadn't expected him to be too much trouble - he was lower level, and she was armed with a good couple of vanquishing potions - but she hadn't accounted for his shapeshifting abilities.
Finding a demon that looked human in the middle of San Francisco was kind of like trying to find a needle in a haystack. But it wasn't exactly as if she could give up and risk someone else getting hurt. She was just going to have to wait for him to show himself again - for all she knew, he could be circling her right now, waiting until she'd lowered her guard to attack. She needed to on the lookout for anything...off. All things considered, there were a lot of 'off' people in this city - Phoebe would know better than anyone, being that she was the one they all flocked to for advice - but she was pretty sure that a demon was a special kind of 'off'. Maybe she'd be able to get a premonition from something it had left behind, if nothing else? She certainly wasn't going to find out by just standing around - giving herself a slight shake, she hurried on down the street she'd seen the demon flee down last.
But it might've changed shape by now. She scanned the crowds, frowning slightly as her frustration rose...before her gaze settled on a rather lost looking young woman. There was something...unusual about her; she seemed rather out of place among the people who typically walked these streets. And, more than that, she looked just a little lost. Phoebe...really didn't want to leap to any conclusions. There was every possibility that this woman was just a tourist who'd lost her way, or even a particularly eccentric resident of the city. But Phoebe couldn't ignore her instincts - there was something suspicious about her, and on the off chance that she was exactly who Phoebe was looking for, she would have to approach her. Maybe, if she could find a subtle way of touching the stranger, she could get a premonition from them and either confirm or deny her doubts? The only problem was, just walking up to a random person and...touching them was kind of creepy. She could always just try to fake bumping into her, but that was a bit rude...
A handshake! That would work. Right? Only one way to find out. Making her way over to the other woman, Phoebe did her best to look casual and helpful as she flashed her a bright smile. "Hey there!" she greeted. "I couldn't help but notice you looked a little, uh...lost. Are you lost?" ..Right. Well. Maybe this wasn't exactly subtle, but she was being helpful. What was suspicious about that?

The urge to consume human flesh was a horribly disgusting one, but she just had to sedate her annoying hunger in other ways...like a normal person! Which Zenon was pretty sure she was at some point, it was ludicrous to think that she was actually born a zombie. Ew that would be all kinds of awkward...really awkward....so awk-"Hey there!" Caused her to let out a squeak of sheer surprise and Frisky the lovable pet spider clung on for its dear, sweet bug life as its owner shook for a short moment as a shudder surged through her. Not to mention her swift head turn to fully see the person...that...sounded like she was being addressed by.
A young woman who was offering her help! Well this was MORE THAN WELCOME....if she wasn't secretly plotting her fiery demise....of course. Hmmmm...it would be a baaad idea to just shoo her away rather than see if the offer of help would be beneficial. Quickly pushing up her circular black shades with her lips stiffened across her face before exhaling and looking just a little more at ease. Yet almost a bit on the stressed side, "Funny you should mention that I look lost...mostly because I am. I'm a traveling magician, not from around here at all, really...."
Glancing from left to right, she wasn't used to anyone offering her help in the slightest. Especially someone who seemed so gosh darn friendly....it could be a trap. Then again if it was a trap, Ms. Yishuv had some level of confidence that perhaps she could handle any trouble. ...AND HOLY SMOKES SOMEONE WITH A LIT CIGARETTE JUST WALKED BY HER! Quickly getting behind the kind lady who offered to help, she suspiciously watched the person with a cigarette walk on by with a somewhat annoyed frown.
The kind of frown that was like "I see what you did there, person and I don't like it one bit...". Allowing a huff of annoyance slip by her lips...that was a very close call...this blonde wasn't going to let a cigarette get the best of her, no siree!

im not postin' until the lit cigarette iz gone omg fire!!!
A...traveling magician. Phoebe tilted her head slightly at that - there were so many things that could mean. Was she a typical street magician, someone who hid the secrets to their tricks with smoke and mirrors and flashy lights, and scammed people into believing it was 'magic'? Or was 'traveling magician' a carefully disguised way of admitting that she was...well...a witch? If the latter was the case, it was possible that this woman knew Phoebe and her sisters - the Charmed Ones had quite a reputation in the magical community, after all. But if it was the former, or...worse, if this woman was somehow associated with the demon she'd been tracking, then Phoebe knew she was going to need to be careful here. There was still something off about this woman, and Phoebe couldn't quite put her finger on what it was. But she knew by now to trust her instincts - and while her instincts weren't necessarily telling her that this stranger was bad, there was definitely more to her than met the eye.
"Oh, well hey! Welcome to San F--" Before she could finish, something startled the other woman into what looked like a near panic. Phoebe barely had time to blink before the strange woman darted behind her, evidently in fear of...well, Phoebe wasn't exactly sure. At first glance, there didn't seem to be any danger nearby. She glanced back over her shoulder in confusion, and then followed the woman's gaze to a passing man with a lit cigarette in hand. Okay. Well. Either this chick took a very strong anti-smoking stance in society, or...or she was afraid of the fire. Phoebe froze, quickly going over the list of supernatural creatures who feared fire in her head. There were a number of them, actually. Wendigos, werewolves, vampires...it was a very common fear, in the too-spooky-monster world. And it didn't exactly help to narrow things down - for all she knew, this could still be a regular person who happened to have a phobia.
Still, it was with a tad more suspicion that Phoebe turned back to her once the guy with the cigarette had passed. "Um...is everything okay..?" she tentatively asked, furrowing her brow a little. She couldn't help but feel vaguely concerned as well as suspicious - really, this woman didn't seem like she meant any harm, but...it was dangerous to jump to conclusions one way or another. If something really was up, though, Phoebe didn't want to get this stranger's guard up around her too quickly. "You just seem kind of, uh, jumpy, is all. Did you know that person?" Poor thing really didn't seem to be having the best day, and Phoebe really didn't want to make it any worse for her. She just...wanted to get all of this sorted out as quickly as possible. Maybe this woman could even be of some help to her, if she was innocent in everything else - if nothing else, Phoebe kind of wanted to keep an eye on her just to make sure she'd be alright here.
