Walking down the street of Storybooke, Steve was pretty familiar with the layout and locations of businesses here. He had been looking around and after a while, asked some of the residents he knew about how to purchase a house. They all sent him to one man, who from what Steve saw in their reactions, were not too thrilled about. Steve did not worry too much, as he was sure the reason for this would be solved, at some point and as he was finally at a place to feel accepted in a world after missing 70 years, this was it.
He had many friends here, in the form of Regina, although not as well as others, Ruby who was very attractive and he would like ot ask her out, but still had issues with being able to do that. Henry, the son of the Sheriff and adoptive son of Regina, and of course the local Mother Superior. He did feel out of place, as the people at first looked at him with disdain and did not want to talk to him. But as he stayed for a week, they slowly came around. After two weeks, he was still not talking, always walking and sitting in the park, jogging in the woods or helping Granny if and when she needed it.
After three weeks, he some of the towns folk were talking to him and being friendly, although reserved in some things that they said. Week three became week four and than week five and six came. Steve had meet a guy who could control the weather, specifically snow and the winter elements. Never got his name or anything else, just that he flew and all.
Afterward, he felt that he was overstaying his welcome at the Inn, and started the oh so fun job of house hunting. So the questions were asked and he was directed to Mr. Gold Pawnbroker & Antiquities Dealer. He stopped outside the business and looked it over, before adjusting his coat and walking in, his book always with him. Stepping into the business, he closed the door and spoke, "Hello? Is anyone here?" he asks as he walks further in and looks at the items here and there as he waits to see if the owner, Mr. Gold is here or not.
As he looked and waiting, his eye caught something that grabbed his attention, and he walked over to it and looked at the items here. He knew them well, as he saw them in the field during the Second World War and just studied all of the different items on display. Due to this, he was not paying attention to anyone that either walked in, or the owner when he arrives.

Most people would find that being totally despised and separated from their town unappealing, at the very least. The same could not be said for Mr. Gold, who wanted to separate himself from the town as much as possible. Now that he had Belle and he'd found Bae, he was content with staying in his shop with his newfound family. Of course, there were still complications. For instance, the amount of people who barged into his shop to claim something he had was staggering. Mr. Gold, of course, was having none of that. So, they paid him full price. After all, who knew if they really were their belongings?
Mr. Gold was in the back area of his shop, sorting through a few things. The residents of Storybrooke may have been intent on reclaiming their belongings, but there were certain things that he simply wasn't willing to sell. Those were the things he kept in the back. It was mostly magical items and objects directly connected to the magical worlds. Things he couldn't allow the cursed residents to get a hold of before the curse was broken. Even without the curse, Mr. Gold was wary of allowing some of the residents to hold the power some of the items wielded. In fact, some of the items being used could cause a catastrophe, especially in the small town of Storybrooke.
Suddenly, a voice came from the main shop area. Oddly enough, it was a voice he'd never heard. For obvious reasons, Mr. Gold knew everyone in Storybrooke. Newcomers were... infrequent, to say the least. While the curse breaking did allow them to enter the town, very rarely did people have any reason to enter Storybrooke.... and those who did were usually told to avoid places like Mr. Gold's shop. Mr. Gold walked out into the main room and saw a tall, muscular man looking over some of his wares. "Interested in something?"

Steve looked up at the words as he turned to see the man enter. Thinking, he nodded, "Yes sir," he said to him as he studied the man up and down with his eyes. "Steve Rogers," he says to him as he walks over and offers his hand to him. "I was told that you were the one to speak to on purchasing a house in Storybooke," he adds as he stops in front of him. Looking around, he thinks for a moment as he says nothing and ponders. "I am curious to know, how much a house would cost in town," he mentions as he sets his book on the counter in front of him.
"I am also interested, if you also one who purchases pictures?" he asks him as he stands there and waits for a reply. As he does stand there, Steve looks around the store more, and notices things he has never seen, and for all he knows, were used after the 1940s but no longer used in the 2010s. Back in the 1940s, things were so much easier, you had an apartment, and with World War II, you were busy. But now, things have changed completely as technology has advanced and now people like Steve are few and far between. But no one knows who Steve is, as he is form a different time and place.
