A disturbance in space and time itself, a slight chill could be felt, even by those who did not sense such an event. But it was detectable from what was coming through and what was that coming forth from the rift. A crack in the very threads of time and space itself formed. Smaller cracks formed after that crack, all of them to be a faint rainbow color but with a slight radiant glow of pink coming from the fissures of the dimensions. For it was a shatter of the very realms itself! These cracks continued to grow until they shattered the very dimensional rifts itself. And then someone came from that shattered fissure in space and time, something large.
A man in red lay crouched when he left the rift, the shatter reforming as a precaution so more rifts would open if the tears he created weren’t sealed but the rift and Gilgamesh were one and the same, the same being, he the master, the rift the servant, it was quite the bonded situation. The man stood in the moonlight, he was a total of seven feet tall. Obsidian black horns jutted from the side of his skull. The red cloak that was behind him, tatted near the bottom. His face wrapped in red cloth, attached to the cloak he wore. Under the cloak lay Genji armor, a legendary mark of the man’s tribe. Loose polka-dot pants along with war boots attached to his feet. His arms lay bare however, they were as pale as the snow, but they were well toned and muscled, minor scars laced along his arms.
The man they slowly raised to his normal height, a terrifying sight indeed. White eyes just as pale as the moon looked out into the night to see if they could see anything. The man just appeared odd to anyone that could see him in the night. He appeared to be in a cobblestone alleyway. The alley was shaped like a Z, he stood on the north-west corner of the alley, giving him sight of the whole area. Well a whole sight aside from the roof tops and the south east area of the alleyway. The place felt weird as well. It felt devoid of something but Gilgamesh couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was. The cloak slowly draped around the man, only showing his legs and boots now as opposed to the armor that lay underneath the cloak.
The man was unarmed at the moment but that could of changed quickly. He crossed his large, beefy arms together as he gazed into the darkness. It looked peaceful. A peace he had not felt in a long while, not since he had last been to the Genji Home land. But now was not a time for peace, no it was not! He had to find Excalibur and other mighty swords for that was his oath as a warrior! To become the strongest man in the universe! He wasn’t as strong as the elder genji, but they had died so instead he would take up that honor! Of course he was already the strongest man in existence, or so he thought. And then suddenly the darkness was shattered.
“IT IS I! GILGAMESH, STRONGEST MAN IN EXISTANCE, FEAR ME MORTALS!”

A young man stalked through the crowds, hood obscuring his face from view.
Voices filled the air, both of joy, anger, sadness. Smells filled the air, in particular of vehicle waste and hotdogs. Stars shone overhead faintly, unable to match the brightness of the city lights.
To say the very least, it was like nothing Soma had ever seen before. Already it had been a good week or so since he had arrived in this strange place. It seemed to be a place of the past. America, before it was utterly decimated by the Aragami, and yet at the same time completely different. A few strange people had told him that it was a unique place where dimensions merged.
He had fallen to this strange place through a rift, whatever that meant. Soma silently made his way through the crowds, ignoring all of them. He didn't particularly care, what did it matter? It felt so strange to see so many people in such a carefree attitude. Theere was no aragami to battle in this place. It was like how the history books said. So different from the world that he knew. Everyone was fat, happy, and they didn't need to fight for the right to survive every single day. How strange to think of...
He shook his head. What did it matter? He was stuck in this place and he didn't think that it was possible to get back to Fenrir. He didn't know what had happened to the Leader and the others... Hopefully they were alright. Of course they would be alright. Soma wondered if they were also in this place. Maybe sooner or later he would meet up with them, and then they would be able to figure something out.
He moved away from the main streets, beginning to wander down many alleys and back passages. It was quieter here and yet even so the sounds of the city were all around him. So much life, so much vibrancy... it was almost too much to take in all at once.
A yell suddenly puntucated the air near him. Soma's eyes widened, instinctively grabbing his God Arc. What was that? He ran around a corner, wondering if it was an enemy... and was greeted with the strangest sight of his life! What the hell was that, some kind of mutated Aragami?

Gilgamesh’s senses were alerted the moment he heard the footsteps . He was a toned warrior, trained in the art of detecting an enemy. Gilgamesh would of boasted he could sense an enemy a mile away he could only pick up on people approaching him, not even being able to tell friend or foe apart. While he was a great warrior he wasn’t as geat as he made himself out to be. After all he had been defeated a lot of people, Bartz, the people of Ivalice and even more. But he was a warrior and had a much more attuned senses then the common people of the world around him. From what he could tell of his previous venture to this world, swords seemed a bit limited in number but he had heard humors of a form of Excalibur here, wielded by some weirdo named Arthur who was a great king! How dare a mere mortal steal from the mighty Gilgamesh?!
But as the new comer approached Gilgamesh donned a blade. His Tournesol has seen quite a bit of action as of late but the sun flower blade was quite strong and could hold up to any damage! Or from what he could tell the Great-sword was impervious to damage as opposed to the piece of crap, Excalipool he managed to keep finding. The chances of this world containing the actual Excalibur was slime but he still expected it around any and all corners. He was Gilgamesh, the last of the Genji, a tribe of the strongest warriors in the universe! If his brothers and sisters were still alive to see him and to travel through the rift with him he and his tribe would be one of the most well known forces in existence! He was but a man but his entire village was as strong as him, they would of settled down in the rift as he had but would travel throughout different dimensions! It was a glorious tribe indeed!
Gilgamesh then lowered his sword in the direction the new comer was approaching. He was expecting a fight but if it was some odd child or civilian he would of quickly lowered his sword and questioned to as where he was. The world did indeed seem like a fairly different Ivalice but he knew he was in Earth once again. The place was advanced, really advanced from what he could tell. But the advancements made people weak! They didn’t carry weapons, nor spar in combat! They drunk tea but held no traditions or honor! And from what he could tell he could feel a strong dimensional pull in this land which also interested him. If another person had somehow shattered the rifts he proudly traveled he could of possibly returned home! But that was no matter at the moment! Gilgamesh first saw the sword the man who had approached him had. It was quite big indeed! It was a wonder how a man could use such a weapon and not be Gilgamesh!
”Who goes there!? It is I Gilgamesh and I must say that is one big sword! Who are you and what is this land called so I may conquer it as I have to other lands suh as this!”
Gilgamesh always enjoyed his introductions. They were filled with honor and glory, they very ground trembled when he spoke out his name! The Genji has quite the ego, he had honor yet he had an ego. His ego was as large as himself as well! His horns gleamed in the moonlight as the moon passed overhead. It was quite a sight to be true! And despite having horns, Gilgamesh had never used them in combat, ever! It was against his honor to do such a thing even to gain the upper hand. He usually fought people with no horns at all but the Genji had done so at times during mating rituals. But Gilgamesh didn’t have time to consider such practices for he was on a mission of glory and honor. A mission that would never be defeated for he would be alive forever, for the rift would last as long as space and time itself, giving Gilgamesh as long as he needed to do things, but he stilled wished to hurry on his quests!
”Now! Hand over your weapon or surrender before you are defeated by the likes of me!”
