Black eyes blinked once... then twice.

Both orbs were fixated on the current sight that laid before them. There were rows upon endless rows of skyscrapers and tall buildings on either side of the street. Each one reaching high into the sky; just as their name insinuated. A near infinite number of cars ran alongside the streets sidewalks, almost hiding the sea of faces and bodies made by the crowd looking on in shock...

The hustle and bustle of city life was obviously new to the kid. He'd never been to such a vibrant, active place before. None of his journeys could have prepared him for this.

Ness found himself standing squarely in the middle of the road. Eyes gazing about at his surroundings in obvious confusion, for this was not where he had expected to wind up. Not even close.

How did he know this? The crowd of people staring at him from all sides might have had something to do with that. Not only had he stopped the activity of the random passers-by for that moment, but it seemed he'd also managed to stop traffic. And all because his teleport ability had gone wrong... The scorch marks on the ground around him was proof enough of that.

The kid bowed his head briefly to the drivers in front of him, then promptly turned to bow in the other direction before rushing onto the street. He hadn't even been around for five minutes but he'd already caused so much chaos. Bummer...

Turning down a much quieter street, Ness slowed his pace to that of a simple stride as he began to ponder on his current options.

Hunger was painful.

He could -feel- it and the monster inside of him reacted to it, fought against his control. It hurt to resist it but resist it he did. He had no other choice. His father had argued at times that his Aragami was a simple part of his nature and it would be better for him to accept it, to grow with it... but what the hell did that goddamn psycho know? He'd gone and gotten himself killed for nothing; he knew nothing dammit.

The silver haired young male pulled his hood over his head, stalking through the alleyways, his God Arc resting easily on his shoulder. The Aragami within it's core screamed it's hunger too. This was torture. Two powerful instincts opposing his nature, fighting against him for control. It hurt.

Soma stared up at the sky. Corrosive Hannibal-- the thing that had once been his friend, mentor, Lindow. Now nothing more than a ravaging beast intent on feeding it's neverending hunger.

How sick fate could be at times.

He needed to find him and put him down. It was bad enough that oracle cells had infected this world-- how long before it followed the fate of his own?

A sound from afar, familiar echo of hunger. A Prithvi Mata? Good; they were a challenge to take down. Soma turned, running through the streets towards it. In the shadows he spotted it, stalking from building tops, its attention focused on something. The people of this world were such oblivious fools; they did not notice death from above. Soma leapt towards it; the Aragami let loose a hail of ice at whatever it was focused upon.

It was almost as soon as he turned down onto the quieter streets that Ness began to something was amiss. Of course, given how busy it was (what with him being in a city and all), he simply put it down to just nerves. He'd never been to a city as busy as this so it was a new experience no matter how one decided to look at it.

However, it wasn't long before the feeling of uncertainty morphed into something greater. Into something that told him that he could possibly be in danger. But a quick look around had revealed next to nothing on his current predicament. And then Ness was struck from by a multitude of icy rocks from above. The strength of the attack and the damage it caused forced him to the ground with a yelp almost immediately.

But just as quickly as the assault had begun, it ceased. Ness shrugged the after affects of frost on his shirt off as he rose to his feet then looked to the heavens. There were two figures perched high up on a nearby building. But it wasn't so high that Ness couldn't climb up using his PSI. And he was up for a little payback.

The red-capped hero tapped into his PSI abilities and began jumping from ridge to ridge, window to window in the buildings design. And when he'd gotten to the top, he... well... all he could do was blink and stare. He assumed the weird-looking creature was the one who attacked him but... who was the other?

Fight first, ask questions later. Ness quickly withdrew his bat from within his backpack then launched himself at the feline-like monster. A quick whack on a joint or the head was what he aimed for.
