Ffff. Somehow I always, always manage to forget how incredible this show is. and then I rewatch it and I remember why it's one of my favorite series of all time. So I'm in the middle of a rewatch right now and - welp, it's of course, kind of necessary that I app someone. The thing about Lost, though, is that holy shit the characters are all so incredible and djhdfjkds I just want to app all of them but. You know. That's a little impractical.

SO HERE'S WHERE I ASK FOR YOUR HELP. I've managed to narrow it down to four characters - and I'm not sure how many people here are even familiar with them, so I've written descriptions and included clips. If you find any of them particularly interesting, please vote for them!

...i may end up taking more than one anyway because i love them all that much but pahahaha please guys I really value your opinions.

Desmond Hume
Desmoooond <3. I absolutely adore him, and I've used him a couple of times in the ICC already, so some of you might have an idea of who he is. He's an easy-going, engaging, over-all pretty likeable guy - if just a biiit off at times. Spending three years in a hatch underground working to keep an electromagnetic force from destroying the world'll do that to a guy. And the exposure to said electromagnetic force, incidentally - seems to have given him a few extra abilities. He's been known to 'skip through time' to different periods of his life. And, to some extent, he can see flashes of the future. Overall I think he'd be a really interesting character to have here, though I'd need to finish rewatching and refresh my memory on some parts of his storyline.

Juliet Burke
Oww Juliet D: She...I'm not quite sure how far too get into her character without ~major spoilers everywhere~, but. She's probably one of my favorite characters on the show. She's a doctor - a fertility doctor, to be exact, but she has medical training and...welp, that'd probably come in handy around AM. Juliet's quite enigmatic, though - she has this calm, soft-spoken demeanor that kind of inherently tends to lower people's guard - but beneath that she's this cold, detached person who's been hardened by the things that have happened to her, and she's absolutely not above manipulating or betraying people to get what she wants. Like a lot of these characters, though, it kind of depends on where I pull her from. She kind of learns to trust people more easily down the line, but there's also this incredibly tragic aspect to her storyline that I won't get into right now. She's a character that could go in a number of directions here, though - and, if I play her right, could be quite feelsy.

James "Sawyer" Ford
Oh, Sawyer. World's biggest asshole - and yet he gets a lot of character development, so he might not be too bad depending on which point I take him from. Basically, he's a con man - he has no qualms with lying and cheating and stealing to get what he wants. But he's also a real charmer - a shameless flirt who rarely takes anything or anyone seriously. He has a way of being...obnoxiously loveable - and then, in the next moment, making you want to punch him in the face. ...He also comes up with nicknames. For everyone. Sawyer's a bit...darker than he lets on, though. He's got some serious unresolved issues, and has become completely self-centered in his attempt to put an end to them...but funnily enough, his time on the island kind of opened up his capacity to care for others a little more. Not that he'd ever admit it.

All in all, he'd be wonderfully fun to play, but he's a little intimidating - all his snark, sarcasm, and charm - I'm not sure if I could do him justice?

Shannon Rutherford
Welp. These writers. They do it on OUAT, and they do it on LOST - they make you like a previously unlikeable character just before something terrible happens to them. Shannon, at first glance, is a...pretty superficial bitch. Tall, leggy blonde who seems quite selfish and shallow and just generally unpleasant. She is, however, surprisingly so much more depth-y and human than she initially lets on, and I just think her character arc is absolutely wonderful. She...has lost a lot, and has had people stereotype and treat her a certain way her entire life that's left her sense of self-worth much lower than she lets on - but after getting stranded on and island and losing her brother and meeting Sayid, she's really kind of...grown up. A lot. She still has her issues, sure - but overall I think she's a wonderful character who is just so much more than she first seems to be.
