"You shouldn't have come."
The words echoed in her mind, and she could feel an oddly familiar sense of dread settling over her, resonating to her very core. This was it, then. After everything she had gone through, everything Sam, and Dean, and even Ruby had done for her, it had all been for nothing. Castiel -- Castiel -- he had been the last person she would have thought would betray her, and yet, here they were. "You shouldn't have come." Of course she shouldn't have, but she had trusted Castiel. Trusted him with her life, which had apparently been a mistake.
She had taken her Grace back for nothing. If she was going to die, she would have much rather done it as a human, than this.
Letting her eyes fall closed, she felt the strong hands at her arms, keeping her from fleeing, and the sensation of being dragged off, disappearing from Earth for what was likely to be her last time. She could only hope that they would be kind enough to grant her a quick death. Hah. As if they were capable of mercy. No, that was just a human misconception. Angels were heaven's warriors. Fierce. Absolute. Cold. Mercy, forgiveness, compassion...those were human emotions, and theirs alone. Maybe that was why God viewed them as His greatest creation, more so than the angels.
Exhaling in a slow, drawn out sigh, Anna awaited the inevitable as she felt her feet on solid ground once more. But nothing came. In fact, she realized, eyes snapping open, the angels that had taken her were nowhere to be found. Instead of Heaven, she was in... San Francisco it looked like? Standing in the middle of a pleasant enough looking park with a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Looking around quickly, she noted a few people milling around, none of whom seemed to have noticed her sudden appearance...and they were all human. There were no angels around, not within several miles. What had happened...? She knew they'd never let her go, never stop hunting her down...so how had she gotten away?
Pursing her lips, the angel shook her head, slipping her hands into her jacket pockets, and beginning to walk slowly towards the bridge. She was still on high alert, of course, and ready to bolt at the first sign of another angelic presence...but she wanted to know who -- or what -- had...saved her. Brought her here instead of heaven. And she wasn't going to find that out by just standing around.

Something was... different about the newest rift.
Castiel was well aware of the rifts, as well as the threat they posed to Earth. If there was one thing the angels were well-versed in, it was apocalypses. He should have expected the rifts to bring people from his own past to this Earth, but he hadn't considered that. He was far too busy with affairs on Heaven to focus on who the rifts were bringing. He thought he would only have to care about the rifts themselves. The rifts apparently were dead set on proving him wrong, since they brought someone he had never expected to see again: Anna.
The last time Castiel had seen Anna, she was planning on killing Sam and spreading him across the universe. Something felt different about this Anna. She must have been taken from a different time. With the soft sound of wings rustling, Castiel disappeared in Heaven... only to reappear moments later on Earth. He had ended up in San Francisco - he had been there before, while traveling with Dean and Sam. He was only a little bit away from Anna. He had no idea how he would speak to her, since he didn't know where exactly she was from.
With one more teleport, Castiel was behind Anna. "...Anna." He said, unsure of how to great her. If only he had a better way of figuring out exactly when the rifts had brought her. That would make this less.... how would Dean put it? "Awkward"?
