^{Reason for being on AM:} After his humiliating defeat at the hands of the Avengers, Loki was taken to prison in Asgard... little did they know that it was actually a false clone taken to Asgard and Loki remained on Earth, planning his next strike.

Loki has a severe superiority complex. After years of living under his brother, Thor's, shadow he's developed quite the desire to be noticed, no matter the cost. He has, and will continue to, do evil deeds just so people will bow down to him. See, he thinks that he's the rightful King of Asgard after being overthrown during his rule {more on that in history} and will not hesitate to correct people who say he 'was' a King. Implying that he isn't or never was a king will after he corrects is a sure way to piss him off. He feels a distinct need to assert himself and become the most powerful being out there, no matter the cost.

After being lied to about his origins and pretty much everything else about his life by his own 'family', Loki cares very little for them. It's easy to say he hates his brother and likely his father as well. He seems to be more accepting of his Frost Giant background in recent days, even seeing it as a means of distancing himself from the family he hated.

If it wasn't obvious by this point, Loki is the Asgardian God of Mischief, Trickery and Lies - and he lives up to it fully. With a sharp tongue and quick wit, Loki seems to always have an overarching plan to anything he does. He truly doesn't care about who he has to lie to to get his way, even if he previously liked said person. It all goes back to Loki's desire to get what he wants and feeling of self-entitlement where he believes that, no matter the cost, he's right.

Loki is awfully bitter about pretty much everything in Asgard, particularly his brother's presence overshadowing him. He honestly does believe that he's doing the right thing because he's been lied to and pretty much ignored. That being said... Loki is kind of a drama queen king. He tends to go a bit overboard with things and will overreact to people calling his authority into question.

Powers & Abilities

Magic: Being the god of trickery and such, Loki has a variety of magical spells and abilities to choose from in battle. His favorite ability seems to be the power to make clones of himself, particularly to fool people into thinking he's there. He is able to teleport off somewhere else and leave a clone in his wake without anyone noticing. He also like confusing people by surrounding them by clones. He is said to be one of the most powerful magic-users in the world. Despite not technically being an Asgardian, he has grown to become more powerful than any of them, in terms of magic. Nobody quite knows the full extent of his magic, but it's clear that magic is his forte and pretty much anyone should avoid getting into a magic fight with him.

Frost Giant Attributes: You're probably thinking "Frost Giant? He's not even that tall and he's not made of ice! D<" buuut that's because Odin used some magic of his own to disguise Loki as an Asgardian. That magic has held up to this day and will never fade, even after Odin's eventual death. However, he has kept many Frost Giant attributes; such as superhuman strength. While he's nothing compared to Thor, Loki can still pack a definite punch if he wants to. His speed is also at levels far above humans, though you won't see him running at the speed of light or anything. His durability is also fantastic and he probably won't be harmed by any bullets or average melee weapons. Even if something does manage to hurt him, he has a healing factor that rapidly heals all wounds. He also cannot contract any Earthly diseases due to Odin's magic granting him Asgardian longevity.

Psionic Power: Not technically magic, Loki can read minds to see pretty much anything he needs to know about a person. He can also implant thoughts into people's minds, if he doesn't feel in the mood for mind control and just wants to see what people do with one little thought he puts in their mind. Obviously, he can also mind control and hypnotize anyone. None of these powers work on those with mind barriers or any other sort of ability blocking their mind from him. Likewise, his mind is protected from anyone trying to look into it by any means.

Shape-shifting: Something of a classic power for Loki, he commonly takes other forms to aid in his mischief. No matter who or what it is, Loki will be able to take their form. Unless he transforms into a specific creature, he does not gain the abilities of the person he's transforming into. For instance, if he were to transform into a dragon he would be able to breath fire. If he were to transform into Thor, he would not gain any of his brother's abilities. He often uses this just to change his clothing to the regal armor he wears while in battle.

Chitauri Scepter: A metallic scepter with powerful magic abilities. The energy blasts it fires are powerful enough to vaporize a human on contact, though the power of the blast is completely dependent on what Loki wants it to be. By pressing the Scepter against someone's chest, Loki can gain complete control over them, though he cannot control someone if they're wearing armor, or having mind-blocking powers. It can also transform into anything Loki wants to to; including a staff and a cane so far. The scepter also grants him control over an army of Chitauri aliens, who can enter Earth through portals he creates.

Loki seems to have access to countless powerful Asgardian artifacts which he can, and will, use in his schemes.

Weaknesses

^{Psychological Flaws...}

Always Second Best: Loki always felt insignificant compared to his brother Thor, and it's no wonder why. As a child he lived in Thor's shadow and, while he was still cared for as a son, this has left him with great resent for both Thor and Odin, as well as a MAJOR superiority complex. He feels that he needs to be superior to everyone.

HOOMANZ SUCK: He's not a fan of humans. At all. In fact, he views them as pathetic insects who aren't good for anything but being his servants. Yes, he still thinks this after getting beaten up by a team of mostly humans. Shut up.

^{Physical Flaws...}

Mortal: Despite being able to live for a REALLY LONG TIME and being incredibly durable, Loki is still mortal and can be hurt after he takes enough of a beating. After getting smacked around by Hulk, he didn't die like most humans, but he was in shock and likely great pain... so he couldn't get up. The lesson here is, you might not be able to stab him or whatever, but you can definitely throw him around a room!

The Avengers: Loki hates these guys with a burning passion. After all, it was them who took down his army and beat him up. He hopes to get his revenge soon.

History....

Loki was a born a Frost Giant... but he really wasn't particularly giant. He was a runt to them, and his father, Laufey, hated him for it. Thankfully, he was just a baby when Odin, Asgardian Allfather, defeated Laufey and took Loki to raise as his own son. As mentioned before, his childhood was overshadowed by Thor, who was Odin's favored son. Loki was always jealous of Thor, even though the two weren't enemies at that point. As they grew older, Loki became more and more skilled in trickery and began concocting a plan to get Thor banished from Asgard so he would become the next king.

On the day of Thor's kingly coronation, Loki, with his father Laufey's allegiance, allowed the Frost Giants to enter Asgard to take a powerful artifact. Thor, enraged that the Frost Giants had attacked Asgard, gathered his closest friends {including Loki} and travelled to Jotunheim to do battle with the Frost Giants. After a quick battle, Odin appeared and, ashamed of Thor for creating war in Asgard, banished him to Earth. Afterwards, Loki discovered his true heritage and took advantage the deep sleep Odin fell into due to Thor's banishment and Loki's discovery, known as the Odinsleep, and assumed the throne of Asgard. When asked by Thor's friends to take Thor's banishment away, he strictly declined.

Because of his declining, the Warriors Three traveled to Earth to aid Thor. Loki, deciding to simply take out all four at once, sent a Destroyer automaton to kill them. However, the four defeated the Destroyer by regaining Thor's powers. As the four went back to Asgard, Loki killed Laufey and revealed that his true plan was to destroy Jotunheim and the Bifrost Bridge for good and prove himself worthy to Odin. After doing so, Thor arrived in Asgard and did battle with Loki. Thor came out the victor, but without destroying the Bifrost in the battle. Loki was cast into the void the Bifrost's destruction left.

After a long while in the Void, Loki was discovered by the alien being Thanos, who sent his minion the Other to confer with Loki. Loki was given a staff {detailed in equipment} and sent to Earth to cause an invasion of the aliens known as Chitauri. Loki did as he was asked and searched for an all-powerful source of energy known as the Tesseract. He eventually found the Tesseract and opened up a portal that allowed the Chitauri to invade. However, the invasion was stopped by the Avengers, a new team of superheroes. Loki himself was beaten and taken to Asgardian prison, from which he's recently escaped and traveled back to Earth.
